    Consumer Behavior Research of Electronic Money Business in Indonesia and A Marketing Proposal (Subject: Flazz BCA)

    Abstract - The development of information technology have an impact in various fields, including payment systems, particularly with the advent of electronic retail payment system known as electronic money (e-money). In the future, industries with electronic system predicted will be growing significantly. But compare with the other non-cash payment, the e-money in low number. For e-money companies’ issue, the market share of Flazz BCA decline during 2010-2014. The primary objective of this research is to know the behavior of consumer towards the purchase of e-money product Subject Flazz BCA and analysis the business issue. This research also aims to create effective marketing strategy for e-money issuer so it can attract potential consumer and increase the market share. This research using conducted depth interview, questionnaire and SPSS to analyze the data. Sample of 300 respondents were taken to test the hypotheses, and analyzed using multiple regression. The methods of this research is to get deeper analysis about root problem, it uses analysis from internal and external analysis. In which, internal analysis consist of seven P marketing mix and for external consist of general environment, industry analysis and consumer analysis. The research generate some strategies in which to increasing the market share of Flazz BCA and retain the Flazz BCA as a market leader of electronic money business in Indonesia,  it is using SWOT Matrix strategies and Push-Pull strategies, push means that ‘taking the product come to the customer’ and pull means that ‘getting customer taking to you’. This research is expected to be able to give a mapping explanation about consumer behavior and marketing strategies in Indonesia and able to provide sufficient information for companies who might have product to serve this segment also for further observation. Keywords: electronic money, consumer behavior, marketing strategies, willingness to use, Flazz BC

    Abstract - PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is currently in the process of renewing the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Management and the Trade Unions. The main issue is the extent to which PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), and more specifically the Collective Bargaining Agreement of PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), has applied ethical principles that have been endorsed internationally. Studying employee protection is important because employees are arguably the most im[portant company’s assets that would drive performance. This final project is aimed to find out how internationally recognized ethical principles in terms of employee protection have been applied at PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) and to propose an improved content of the Collective Bargaining Agreement that incorporates findings from this research to be considered by PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero). This final project reviewed about the employee protection in PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) and UN Global Compact is chosen as the international ethical standard. The result is found that there is significant difference between D1 and D2 units in their perception of employee protection. There is difference of employee perception on employee protection especially for the efforts of handling human rights abuses and knowledge for helping and facilitating to fulfill of human rights abuse reviewed based on units. Two issues that cause significant differences in perception on employee protection in D1 and D2 unit are related to the knowledge (cognitive) and the action (conative) of the company with regard to handling the human rights abuses. It is proposed that the company make articles that discussed about woman employees to protect them from human rights abuses and elimination of forced labour. It is recommended that PT. KAI establish better industrial relations between trade union and management by communicating rights that want to fight for and that PT. KAI invite activists from the  trade union to be held national working meeting (Rapat Kerja Nasional) about labor issues to support the objectives of trade union itself. Keywords: employee protection, human righ

    Proposed Operation Strategy For A Better Service Capacity and Quality at Urban Laundry and Dry Cleaning, Bandung

    Abstract. Urban Laundry & Dry Cleaning is a company engaged in the field of kilos and item laundry services in Bandung that has two major problems in its operation system, it is the target of completion of orders that are often not achieved and the swapped case between customer's clothes. Based on the analysis of the effective capacity and actual demand that occurred during May 2015 until September 2015, it is found two important points to be the root of existing problems. The first is the company's dependency on interpretation on two important processes in production systems/services, namely the recording process and Checking. Interpretation on Characteristic Writing Method caused interruptions and misunderstanding during the process. The second is the high impact of daily demand fluctuations during the month. Interpretation itself can be eliminated by using Write & Tag Method instead of the old method. Urban L&DC can improve the service capacity of up to 21.0% in Kilos laundry service. To mitigate the effects of fluctuations in demand, companies are encouraged to add new workers by adopt the system of part-time labor. The application of these two steps simultaneously increase the target completion of the order of 28.6% to 94.3% and the rate of service quality of critical condition (94.7%) to the optimum conditions (72.9%). In order to Write & Tag Method be able to run consistently, the company is obliged to make a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that is easily understood by the entire workforce.     Abstract. In most industries, retaining high performance employee is challenging issue faced by all companies, included in banking industry, which not only in conventional banking but also in sharia banking including PT Bank BNI Syariah as the third largest asset in sharia banking industry.  From the total turnover and total talent employee resigned compared to other competitor BNI Syariah should identify the suitable strategy to retain those employee. By designing and conducting the employee engagement survey, author try to identify which driver of employee engagement drivers that is most significant influence to say, stay and strive behavior towards company. 69% of talent employee participated in this research and give The study confirms that The Basic driver become the most influential engagement driver for say, stay and strive engagement outcomes and leadership become the least influencing among others. Besari Wahana Raya specialises itself as a contractor for the military. The company currently serves only one client, which is the Indonesia Air Force. PT. Besari Wahana Raya has been working with the same client for almost 20 years. The head quarter of the company is located in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta. After working with the same client for almost 20 years, the board of directors begin to realize that they can actually acquire another market segment. After 20 years doing business in the industry, PT. Besari Wahana Raya is planning to acquire a new market segment. Using all the capabilities of the company, PT. Besari Wahana Raya needs to offer a new value proposition for the new client. The new value proposition is local empowerment. By offering this new value proposition, PT. Allstar as a new agency stood at the date of January 9, 2015, by the three founder Oei Hong Tzan, Dendy Gunawan, David Gozali At the time of the end of 2015 Allstar agency made a breakthrough in Prudential Indonesia, having just stand can reach the 6th position in Indonesia beat agency that has a long standing and has been great from Allstar agency. Allstar agency after seeing a performance and a great result in the last year saw an opportunity and believe that can reach the position 1 in Indonesia and could be a market leader in Indonesia. To achieve these goals it is necessary to analyze the strategy right, and put on filling the questionnaire of customer Allstar own view peforma agent Allstar, and also filling the questionnaire agent Allstar to see a performance agency Allstar, because this is a service business importance level and performance level is associated, and if the result is nice to be sustainable and can even thrive, because mendaptkan references from satisfied customers. In this business the agent is very important, if the team owned small will greatly affect the turnover that get it for Allstar agency, because the annual turnover Allstar agency is a collection of the turnover that get it from the team Allstar, and revenue Allstar agency around 10% of annual turnover. Therefore, external and internal analysis is very influential.     Analysis of business opportunities of waqf land at yayasan attaqwa using smart and ahp

    Abstract. This research begins with a simple question: how to utilize waqf land in order to benefit the Nazir and the community?. The Indonesian Waqf Board notes that the number of wakaf land in Indonesia reaches 4,359,443,170 m2 managed by wakif, one of the wakif is the Attaqwa Foundation. The Attaqwa Foundation established in 1950 is engaged in education and social affairs, owning land assets of 910,629 m2, and 22% of the total land is waqf land. As a Nazir, the Attaqwa Foundation, through the Waqf Board of Attaqwa Foundation, is obliged to organize, maintain and optimize the waqf land owned for the benefit of the ummah. This research tries to map the business opportunities that can be taken to develop the potential of existing waqf land and choose the best one by the decision maker. This research divides the benefit into two: economic benefit and social benefit, which then divided into six criteria: trust, job creation, sales, social assistance, and sustainability of physical infrastructure. From observations and interviews, there are four business options that can be developed, namely cooperation or mart, sports center, tempeh factories, and cultivation of catfish. By conducting SMART and AHP analysis, this study yields the conclusion that the highest benefits business option is Mart. The advantages of Mart will eventually be returned to the community as the full beneficiaries of the utlization of waqf land carried out by the Waqf Board of Attaqwa Foundation.Keywords: waqf, nazir, Attaqwa, SMART, AH

    Business strategy and product development using lean startup: case study at pegasus company

    Abstract. Pegasus is a company which operates in gaming industry in Indonesia. Pegasus produces high quality gaming chair for gamers and people who spent most of their time in front of the computers. Pegasus gaming chair significantly reduce body parts pain for people who are sitting for a long time in front of the computer, thus enabling those people to play computer games or sit in front of the computer for a long time. Today, the gaming industry is in uptrends. According to Polygon, The International Dota 2 gaming tournament is watched by more than 20 million people from all around the world and people who play online game in the world has reach more than 1,2 billion people (McWhertor,Michael ,2014). Growth of the game player in Indonesia also grow in a high rate parallel with the industry uptrends. In order to compete in this growing industry and grab its market share, Pegasus need to have business strategy and correct product design that reflect the preference of the customer. The analysis used are internal, external and combination analysis. After the internal external analysis is done, the factors that Pegasus are lacking and what can be improved are identified. TOWS matrix is a tool that is used to develop strategic options from a combination of external and internal analysis (Doherty, B, 2009).  Data that are gathered from the internal and external analysis then is used to formulate business strategy using TOWS Matrix in the combination analysis. The strategies resulted from the analysis are to increase product awareness, create new product line up for different type of customers, create gaming tournaments for additional revenue stream and product exposure, additional distribution channel via online and offline store, and additional international supplier that can provide the product materials with lower cost. According to (Ries, E, 2011) the lean start-up methodology provides an approach in which to create & managing start-up and get the product to the customer’s faster. Lean start-up itself is an approach to new product development. The methodology was utilized in order to develop product based on customer feedback. Data of the improvement to be made that are gathered from the Internal & external analysis with the strategy formed by using TOWS Matrix then are used to improve the business model of Pegasus through its business canvas. The improved business model canvas then is used as a guideline for Pegasus in order to correctly deliver value proposition to the customer and how to manage cost structure and revenue streams. This rapid growth of gaming industry in Indonesia are very good opportunity for Pegasus to capture high number of customer, increasing profit, and also become market leader in gaming chair.  Keywords: Game, Gaming Industry, Gaming Tournament, Gaming chair.Â

    Abstract - PT. Freeport Indonesia is a subsidiary of Freeport-McMoRan Inc. (FCX) which has the largest copper and gold reserves in the world located in Mimika Regency, Papua. There is ongoing negotiations between the government and PT Freeport Indonesia regarding the guarantee of the company's operational continuity. This negotiation is very important for both parties to determine whether PTFI can continue to operate and provide benefits to our Nation or have to stop because it is considered not to contribute to our Country. Public opinion is very influential in the process of reaching the agreement, which discusses some items that one of them and most importantly for the company about obtaining contract extension certainty until 2041. The Indonesian public is less aware of PT Freeport Indonesia's gait, especially its positive action. The press in Indonesia generally does not pay attention to the role of PT Freeport Indonesia, especially the positive side. The role of the mainstream mass media in shaping public opinion has begun to be eroded by other forces, namely social media and public opinion in Indonesia tend to follow public opinion, although the general opinion is not in line with reality. In this thesis the authors want that through some communication strategy done will be able to make people can see PT Freeport Indonesia better based on the facts that exist, on the positive things that have been done so that negative opinions that have been formed Can gradually be positive. This thesis is an early scientific effort to determine the right communication strategy to change public perception and strengthen the branding of PT Freeport Indonesia.     Developing maneuver strategy for bowflag in liquid vaporizer industry

    Abstract - Personal vaporizer is a device that used to perform a similar activity as smoking but without the health hazard. One of the main elements in vaporizer is the liquid. Liquid on vaporizer is used to fill the vaporizer device with flavor so it can be consumed by their users. Bowflag liquid is one of the producers of liquid vaporizer who exist in the industry with fierce competition. Vaporizer industry is still new, young and small. The industry growth rate is high especially in the last couple of years. This growth comes with threats from outside the industry such as the possibility of strong cigarette companies entering the market or from inside of the industry itself including its market leaders and its new entrants emerging to the industry. To face the adversity, Bowflag require strategies to win the competition from cigarette industry and liquid industry. Therefore research is needed to determine what strategy maneuver Bowflag should conducted to face this adversity. To formulate the required strategies a serial steps of attack strategy formulation was conducted. These steps are external and internal environment scanning, customers perception study, maneuver strategy to face cigarette formulation and maneuver strategy to win in the liquid industry. The required data and information for this study captured using both qualitative and quantitative with interview and survey. The findings from this research are supportive external-internal environment, bypass strategy maneuver usage to face cigarette competitor and frontal maneuver usage to compete with other liquid companies. Bowflag must create entry barrier while stealing the market from cigarette companies and perform head to head combat to other liquid companies in the industry, with quality as its main weapon.
