THE IMPLEMENTATION OF LITERATURE IN EXTRACURRICULAR “STUDENT CONVERSATION CLUB”
Literature is divided into two parts, namely fiction and non-fiction. Literature is not only studied within the scope of school, but there are those who study it outside the school class. One of them is extracurricular activities. The literature referred to in this extracurricular activity is fictional literature such as choirs, songs and plays. The results of previous studies state that literature such as music and poetry can improve the quality of a person's language, and not only improve language, literature can also provide space for us to express. The purpose and reason for the researcher to raise and examine this title is to provide an overview of how literature is applied in the extracurricular student conversation club and to find out what problems hinder the application of literature in the extracurricular. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The objects of this research are coaches and extracurricular members of the 2022-2023 student conversation club with details of 1 coach and 3 members. The results of the study stated that the students' conversation club extracurricular activities had a good impact on improving students' language skills, especially in English
TEACHING METHOD INVESTIGATION OF LI YANG’S CRAZY ENGLISH
Calls for more holistic research, especially ones that deal with English teaching and learning have increased in recent years. Through critical literature review, this study examines Li Yang’s crazy English, as a trend of English teaching in China. More specifically, it aims to discuss whether Li Yang’s crazy English is one of the “designer” methods and will produce proficient English speakers by proposing two research questions: (1) what is the nature of the “designer” methods? and (2) what specific strategies and what approach to foreign language teaching have the potential to improve learners’ communicative competence in Li Yang’s teaching method? The data have been analyzed and it is found that Li Yang’s crazy English can be categorized as one of the “designers” methods, which is, Total Physical Response (TPR) and failed to build learners’ communicative competence as the ultimate goal of foreign language teaching. The study recommends, therefore, the use of communicative approach in English teaching and learning processes to produce proficient English speaker
IMPLIKATUR PADA PERCAKAPAN PENJUAL DAN PEMBELI DI PASAR SELASA DESA CINTAMANIS BARU, KECAMATAN AIR KUMBANG, BANYUASIN (KAJIAN PRAGMATIK)
The problem in this research is how are the general conversational implicatures and the specific conversational implicatures found in the conversations between sellers and buyers at the Tuesday Market, Cintamanis Baru Village, Air Kumbang sub-district, Banyuasin. This study aims to describe, analyze and conclude the conversations between sellers and buyers at Tuesday Market, Cintamanis Baru Village, Air Kumbang District, Banyuasin (pragmatic study). This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. Sources of data in this study are conversations between sellers and buyers at vegetable traders, fish traders, food traders, kitchen equipment traders and fruit traders, while the buyers are housewives in the Pasar Selasa area, Cintamanis Baru Village, Air Kumbang District, Banyuasin. The technique of collecting data in this study used observation techniques, recording techniques, listening techniques, and recording techniques. The results of this study are expected to be useful for other research. STRUKTUR PUISI KERENDAHAN HATI DAN BE THE BEST OF WHATEVER YOU ARE: KAJIAN SASTRA BANDING
This research is entitled Structure of Humility Poetry and Be The Best Of Whatever You Are: A Study of Comparative Literature. The purpose of this study is to describe the comparison of the physical structure and inner structure of the poem Humility and Be The Best Of Whatever You Are. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques documentation on the two poems. The results of the study indicate that there are similarities and differences in the physical structure and inner structure of the two poems. Similarities in physical structure are found in typography, enjabement, rhyme and rhythm, language style, concrete words, and imagery. The similarity of the inner structure is found in the theme, tone, and atmosphere. Meanwhile, the differences in the physical structure are found in the stanzas and lines, punctuation, and diction used. Furthermore, the difference in the inner structure is in the mandat
PENGGUNAAN MODEL DISCOVERY LEARNING GUNA MENCIPTAKAN KEMANDIRIAN DAN KREATIVITAS PESERTA DIDIK
In teaching and learning activities, the learning model is an important part of the learning tools that must be prepared by the teacher before teaching. The available learning models also vary, according to their respective functions. One of the learning models that is widely used is the Discovery Learning model. This learning model makes student more active, can think more critically, develop creativity, and also make student more independent. The Discovery Learning model makes student more involved in learning activities and teachers only as facilitators ini learning. That way, student can be more comfortable and stimulated ini learning by using this Discovery Learning model
TINDAK TUTUR EKSPRESIF PADA NASKAH DRAMA AYAHKU PULANG KARYA USMAR ISMAIL
Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dari tindak tutur ekspresif yang ada pada setiap tokoh dalam pementasan drama. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah tuturan yang ada pada tokoh dalam pementasan drama yang berjudul Ayahku Pulang yang dituliskan oleh Usmar Ismail yang dipentaskan oleh Teater Tuang. Data yang digunakan adalah tuturan dari tokoh yang sesuai dengan teori tindak tutur ekspresif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan adalah dengan melakukan transkripsi pada video pementasan drama yang kemudian dilakukan pengelompokkan sesusai dengan indikator yang telah disiapkan, yang kemudian data tersebut dianalisis dengan bentuk deksriptif. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa tindak tutur ekspresif dalam pementasan drama ditemukan 10 jenis yaitu: (1) tindak tutur permintaan maaf, (2) tindak tutur mengancam, (3) tindak tutur menyalahkan, (4) tindak tutur kesedihan (5) tindak tutur menyetujui, (6) tindak tutur marah, (7) tindak tutur kesenangan, (8) tindak tutur malu, (9) tindak tutur terkejut, dan (10) tindak tutur heran. Dan Strategi tindak tutur ekspresif ditemukan 1) Strategi bertutur terus terang tanpa basa-basi, 2) Strategi berterus terang dengan basa-basi kesantunan negatif, 3) Strategi berterus terang dengan basa-basi kesantunan positif
MEMBACA TEMA, MAKNA, SUASANA, DALAM ANTOLOGI AYAT-AYAT API SAPARDI DJOKO DAMONO
This study aims to describe the inner structure, especially the theme, meaning, and atmosphere contained in the poetry anthology Ayat-Ayat Api by Sapardi Djoko Damono. The poetry anthology of Ayat-Ayat Api is a collection of selected poems in which there are poems set in the events of the New Order era. The method used by the author in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection technique used was literature, reading, taking notes, and document analysis in the form of the poetry book itself entitled Ayat-Ayat Api by Sapardi Djoko Damono which was published in 2017 by PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama Jakarta. The book has a thickness of 88 pages which is divided into three parts, namely Verse Zero, Verse Watches, and Ayat Api. Data taken from the poetry anthology Ayat-Ayat Api in the form of words, sentences, and poetry quotes that are the keywords of the poem. The results showed that the ten poems analyzed had various themes, meanings, and different atmospheres, including: 1) humanity, 2) social criticism, 3) hope, 4) anxiety, 5) death, 6) divinity, and 7) populist and democracy. 
ANALISIS GILIR BICARA DALAM TUTURAN LISAN PADA PEMBELAJARAN TEKS EDITORIAL DI SMK MUHAMMADIYAH 2 GENTENG
This study has four objectives, namely 1) describing the forms and characteristics of spoken language variations, 2) explaining linguistic and non-linguistic elements in spoken language variations, 3) explaining the stages of spoken language variations, and 4) describing the form of conversational structures related to functional models. take turns talking in learning at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Genteng. To answer the problems formulated by the researchers, it was carried out using the theory of variations in spoken language with the functional method of speech rotation. This research belongs to the type of descriptive research with qualitative analysis data processing techniques. Data and Sources of data in this study in the form of transcripts of learning activities carried out by teachers and students who are in progress. The results of the research obtained are that Indonesian Language Learning in the Editorial Text of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Genteng shows that there is a shift in speech and the use of language variations in the learning process. In the interaction or communication carried out in learning activities, the five structures or organizations of the conversation will be linked, namely speaking shifts, pauses, overlaps, back channels, and agency pairs. 
PENGUATAN STANDAR KOMPETENSI LULUSAN MEMBACA SASTRA MELALUI STRATEGI META-ANALISIS BAGI MAHASISWA JURUSAN BAHASA DAN SASTRA INDONESIA
At first, students' low literary reading experience became a thought to find effective strategies so that students were interested in reading and got the concept of learning experience by thinking critically. To achieve this kind of condition, students' familiarity with literary works accompanied by an understanding of critical reviews is absolutely necessary. Meta-analysis provides a strategy that can be used by lecturers to strengthen the Literature Reading Competency Standards (SKL). This study aims to reveal the use of meta-analysis strategies in strengthening SKL Reading Literature for students majoring in Language. This research uses descriptive analysis method. The data collection stage was carried out through literature study (critical review), interviews, and observations. The results showed that there was a correlation that could be correlated between the achievement of SKL Reading Literature through meta-analysis strategies. THE INTEGRATION OF HOTS IN THE LESSON OBJECTIVES OF ENGLISH TEXTBOOK FOR SECOND GRADERS
High Order Thinking Skills have a major influence on the pupils because they must be able to analyze, evaluate, and create their knowledge appropriately. Furthermore, Bloom’s taxonomy verbs usually are attached in the lesson objectives of the English textbook. They appear to indicate and to determine what pupils have to achieve by the end of the lesson. This research purposes to explore the integration of HOTS in the lesson objectives of the English textbook which is being used by second graders of elementary school at SDN Pegangsaan Dua 07 Pagi. This research employed content analysis which refers to document analysis and the data came from the English textbook entitled “I Love Jakarta’ by Tiga Serangkai for second graders. It was analyzed by employing Anderson and Krathwohl’s taxonomy descriptors. The result revealed that the integration of high order thinking skill in English textbook “I Love Jakarta” for second graders is limited.
