This paper discusses the refutation of al-Būṭī to four arguments of some Sunnah’s refuter groups by examining the perspective of al-Būṭī’s thoughts in text and context in criticizing the Sunnah’s refuter. The method of critical analysis is the main part of this research to uncover al-Būṭī’s point of view in criticizing the Sunnah’s refuter in his work titled Yughāliṭūnaka idh Yaqūlūna as a primary source. The findings of this study are that al-Būṭī uses a text approach to argue the argument of the Sunnah’s refutation on the issue of Sunah authority compared to the Qur’an and the humanitarian aspects of a Prophet. al-Būṭī also use the historical approaches and scientific context in criticizing the Sunnah’s refuter argumentation on the problem of hadith forgery phenomena and the contradiction of ḥadīth with the findings of modern science. This shows that al-Būṭī’s criticism of the Sunnah’s refutation argument is present in a form that is in line with the thoughts of the Sunnah’s refutation itself. Al-Būṭī has tried to follow the Sunnah’s refuter’s way of thinking in contesting the authority of the Sunnah to find weaknesses in the Sunnah’s refuter’s way of thinking itself

One of them is the use of hijab which is said to be symbol of Islam. This article will discuss the hijab, including the views of middle-classical interpretations of scholars such as Ibn Taymiyah and contemporary interpretations of scholars such as M. Quraish Shihab. Here some views on the headscarves according to previous scholars seem too strict, with contemporary scholars being better known for their concessions in responding to contemporary problems. No full text
This paper explore two topics namely qirā’at and tarannum and how they can be used as Islamic dakwah methods in modern era. Among the methods that are quite interesting is through reading the verses of the holy al-Qur’an with tarannum or intone reading the Qur’an. Intoning the reading of the Qur’an will be able to compensate the modern society that is infatuated in music and contemporary art. In line with the influence of globalization, reading the Qur’an experienced a paradigm shift. While in the past, Muslims were accustomed to one type of reading, namely the reading of Imam ‘Āṣim transmitted by Ḥafṣ, then at this time, especially after globalization, the moslims community recognized other readings beside the transmission of Ḥafṣ, namely the reading contained in Qirā’at sevent’s Imams and Qirā’at Ten Imams. Both of these types of reading eventually become quite interesting trends to be learned

Hadith scholars are individuals who play an important role in the spread of the Prophetic traditions. in the midst of his people, as an authoritative source after the Qur\u27an for the complete Islamic legal construct, which was previously discovered and compiled by the Imam of Hadith (mukharrijūn) in their canonical books, like Imam Muḥammad ibn Ismā’īl al-Bukhārī (d. 256 H) in “Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī” and Muslim Imam ibn al-Ḥajjāj al-Naysābūrī (d. 261 H) in “Muslim Ṣaḥīḥ”, through long tracing from one country to another in order to obtain directly one history from the source. The position of the Hadith scholars in this regard, who are at the spearhead of the spread of the Hadiths after their collection by the Imam of the Hadith, as well as their existence and consistency in guarding the Hadith from various forms of deviation of understanding of the people, become an integral part of an integral circle named Hadith, as a saying of the Prophet, the Rabbis and the Imams

Penafsiran Modern Ayat-Ayat Waris: Perbandingan Muḥammad Shaḥrūr dan Munawir Sjadzali

This paper discusses inheritance discourse based on verses of the Qur’an according to modern interpreters, Muḥammad Shaḥrūr with Munawir Sjadzali. Both interpreters are appointed because they can be considered to have tried in their respective contexts to answer the emergence of ambiguous attitudes in implementing inheritance law from Muslim societies. Muḥammad Shaḥrūr understands and applies it in a way that is different from the opinions and concepts, as seen in the \u27four classical patterns of calculation\u27 (al-amalīyāt al-arba \u27fī al-ḥisāb) as well as in social aspects, such as the concept of patrilinialism in society and the spirit of kinship and family spirit and ethnicity which became the benchmark for the distribution of inheritance in the past century or in political aspects, such as overlapping concepts of inheritance law which confuse ownership, law and prophetic authority. From this there is a clear relevance between the boundary theory proposed by Shaḥrūr and the efforts to reform Islamic law which are expected to grow with justice and be able to answer the needs of the community. Whereas Sjadzali developed the concept of inheritance contained in the Qur\u27an, to look for the relevance of Islamic teachings to the times, especially in the context of Modern Indonesia. Since al-Qur\u27an is multidimensional, as hudan li al-nās, the concept of Sjadzali\u27s inheritance law has its own value, namely by teaching the principle of equality as the division of men is twice as large as women is no longer relevant. He also did not explain the division of inheritors who have an upward line adequately. This is because Sjadzali only sees from the side of the historicity of the region as the birth of his 1: 1 inheritance concept, without regard to other aspects such as heirs and heirs

Since prehistoric times ethnic and Javanese communities have been a religious and godly society. The divine value, monotheism, which is embedded in the spirit of Javanese people can be seen from cultural values, for example Wayang. Wayang as a medium for the cultivation of the divine spirit and social-society values cannot be separated from Wali Songo’s ingenuity, especially Sunan Kalijaga. Cultural values will be more easily accepted by the public if their delivery is subtle, persuasive and in accordance with the psychology of ethnic (Javanese) who prioritize subtlety of mind and taste. Some wayang figures who are quite familiar, favorite and have sacred value are Semar. Semar became the main character in everything, both as an ordinary figure and a role as a servant, state adviser and spiritual figure. In the wayang narrated that Semar always soothes and water the hearts of every human heart that is barren, restless, and far from God
