Politik Islam Indonesia dan Demokrasi Pancasila di Era Reformasi

    No full text
Concerns about the decline of civic culture and the threat of national disintegration have arisen due to the emergence of local and religious sentiments among certain groups with ideologies based on religion in the post-reform era. The author assumes that historically, Pancasila is the result of ijtihad (independent reasoning) by some Muslims together with other groups in society, and the implementation of Islamic Sharia in some regional regulations does not contradict Pancasila democracy. The main issue in this writing is the relationship between Islam and the Pancasila ideology, as well as the implementation of Islamic law

    No full text
Similar to Eastern philosophers, Gandhi also perceived differences between men and women. According to Gandhi, women are often marginalized while men play significant and dominant roles over women. In a patrilineal society, men are always prioritized, not only within the family but also in religious rituals. The same is found in Hinduism, where men hold more prominent roles in religious ceremonies. However, Gandhi’s thoughts are not detached from the Hindu teachings they use as guidance in daily life

    No full text
The issue of tolerance is actually related to the articulation of discourse and the realization of practices in real life. Both are interrelated and support each other for the creation of good relations among religious communities. Unfortunately, what becomes the daily reality is not supported by a good discourse articulation. As a result, there is tension in discourse among the people of Pandeglang when discussing tolerance. This study focuses on the views of the Pandeglang community regarding tolerance among religious communities. The initial interest in conducting this study is due to the fact that in Pandeglang, there is not a single non-Muslim place of worship built there. Looking at the composition of its population, there are several non-Muslim communities living amidst the predominantly Muslim community

In 1967, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia formed the Quran Translation Committee, and this activity was completed in 1975 with the production of the Quran and Its Translation. Then, in 1972, the Council for the Organization of Quranic Exegesis was established and completed its Quran and Exegesis in 1984, consisting of 1 (one) volume of the Introduction to the Quran and its Exegesis and 10 (ten) volumes of the Quran and its Exegesis. This is one of the exegesis books collectively written in the modern era of the Islamic world. Considering the reasons for the emergence of this exegesis, both internal and external factors of Islamic thought surrounding the reference exegeses, raises the question of how the Department of Religion’s Quran and its exegesis interpret verses about human freedom. This paper will focus on human freedom related to Free Will and Predestination, and its connection to the concept of faith

In the treasury of Hadith literature from the time of the Companions until today, there are only a few Hadith collections explicitly and clearly stating that they are compilations of authentic Hadiths. Some of them include Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī and Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Ṣaḥīḥ ibn Khuzaymah, Ṣaḥīḥ ibn Ḥibbān, Ṣaḥīḥ ibn Sakan, and Ṣaḥīḥ ibn al-Syarqī. This article will provide information about Ṣaḥīḥ ibn Ḥibbān. This book is considered to have a different model of writing compared to other authentic books. Besides the systematic arrangement, the compiler also sets different criteria for the authenticity of Hadiths, unlike most Hadith scholars

Management is an activity, its implementer is called a manager, and the implementation process is called management. This includes knowledge of what they should do, determining how to do it, understanding how they should do it, understanding how to organize and manage the effectiveness of their efforts. Examining the Quran with a management approach, especially in the context of da’wah management and its practice during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), is a top priority in this discussion

At least three approaches deserve significant attention. First, by tracing the teachings of Islam from its founder, Prophet Muhammad. Second, paying attention to historical Islam, towards the civilizations built by Muslim communities in various parts of the world, in the context of history after the Prophet. And third, by claiming that “Prophetic Islam” and “historical Islam” are not appealing, focusing on whatever actions Muslims are currently taking here. Contemporaneity, therefore, is more dominant and considered more attractive in this latter approach. However, this article seeks to leave behind the complexities brought about by these paradigmatic debates. This article emerges with the intention of addressing the ongoing issues faced by the Indonesian Muslim community, to then be discussed and solutions sought within the broader framework of “religious freedom.” Thus, this article avoids being faithful to any one of the three paradigms mentioned, but rather uses all three as references and foundations for our research

    Islam dan Tata Masyarakat Dunia

    No full text
The structure of world life is colored by various ideologies. Each ideology offers a perfect future. Socialism glorifies collectivism and disregards individuality, aiming ultimately to fulfill material needs collectively. Conversely, capitalism (liberalism) places humans as free individuals with the right to determine their own lives and do whatever is deemed good and right to achieve profit for themselves. From these two major ideologies in the world, Islam does not deny or position itself on either pole. Islam places itself in synthesis and becomes an alternative among the various extremist tendencies of ideologies in a balanced and fair manner. Therefore, the relationship Islam seeks to build is one of partnership and cooperation that mutually benefits the well-being of all human beings. This paper discusses the universal aspect of Islam as a perfect foundation for constructing a global societal order
