    This article is the first-phased report of a research through a testing of cognitive behavioral therapy module. The subjects involved in this research were 27 students who were experiencing mild to moderate depression. The research design was experiment with a pretest and posttest group. Instruments used in this study were Back Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), Automatic Thought Questionnaire (ATQ), Dysfunctional Attitude Scale (DAS). The data was analized using paired t-test. Based on qualitative analysis, the results showed that in general it was easy for the students to understand and do the module independently. This module was very helpful for them in managing thoughts and feelings and specifically in the automatic negative thoughts, dysfunctional thinking, and rules. Nevertheless, this module did not cover the core belief. The results of the t test (t (25)=9.2;

    The present study examined the effect of reciting Holy Qur’an toward short-term memory ability appearance from the change of the brain wave. Subjects of this study were four female students (n=4) from Gadjah Mada University with homogeneity of genders, age, thefrequencies of reciting Holy Qur’an, menstruation’s phase, timbre and ethnic groups. Subjects were divided randomly into two groups, i.e. experiment and control group. Each group wasrecorded with electroencephalograph (EEG) on their brain wave. The process of recording used monopolar method with placement of electrode 10-20 and the researcher give a free recall test.Either recording or free recall test is carried out twice, before and after execution and placebo. T-test result in experiment group from free recall test found significant are differences (t=-15,00; p0,05) between before and afterplacebo effect. Hypotheses accepted i.e. there is significantly increasing in experiment group, before and after the execution. After the execution brain wave increased significantly in pointFp1, point Fp2 and point P4. In point Fp1, , , and significantly increased. In point Fp2, all of the wave significantly increased. In point P4, the wave increased were , , and δ. Itmeans that when reciting Holy Qur’an, showed there is increased activity like thinking, emotionally and religion-related-activity or God

    The new paradigm of learning has placed the students to participate actively in the learning process. One of the consequence is that the learning process must use the variative methods, not only about the transfer of knowledge from teacher to students. This research isaimed to test the impact of Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) to the achievement of Psychology Faculty students in learning Statistics. It is assumesed that the numerical abilityhas a positive correlation to the achievement in studying statistics. So, the respondents numerical ability variabel is controlled using statistics. This research used experiment with Alternative Treatment Posttest Only With Nonequivalent Group Design. Cluster sampling was used to get two of four parallel classes ofStatistics. One class was used randomly as the class taught using TAI and the other class as the control group using conventional teaching method. The numerical ability of the twogroups was tested before getting a different treatment. The teaching with different method was conducted in five sessions.The numerical ability of respondents was tested after the treatment given to the two groups. The mid semester test score of the two groups were compared to the one way covariance analysis with the numerical ability as the covariable. The results indicates that Fscore of the the two groups 10.459, p<0.01. Residual Mean of study achievement for experiment group = 6.997 and control group = 5.464. The result indicates the significant correlation between the numericalal ability and study achievement in statistics (F regression = 43.483, p<0.01 and partial eta squared = 0.316).It can be concluded that there is a significant difference of achievement in studying statistics between the group of students who was taught with Team Assisted Individualizationand with conventional teaching method. The group of students who was taught with Team Assisted Individualization has higher mean score compared to the group taught using the conventional method

    The purpose of this research was to investigate the influence of social support and transformational leadership toward the three component model of organizational commitment (affective, continuance, and normative) with work motivation as a mediator. Subjects were 94 employees of a sugar factory in Indonesia with minimum 2 years as tenure. Four questionnaire used to obtain the data were organizational commitment questionnaire, social support questionnaire, transformational leadership questionnaire, and work motivation questionnaire. Data were analyzed using regression analysis and partial correlation. Results were: (1) affective and continuance commitments were significantly influenced by social support and transformational leadership with work motivation as mediator and (2) normative commitment was not significantly influenced by social support and transformational leadership. Keywords: organizational commitment, social support, transformational leadership, work motivation

    Strategi Self Regulated Learning dan Prestasi Belajar: Kajian Meta Analisis

    This article presents a meta‐analysis of the experimental and survey literature that has examined the effect of self regulated learning strategies on academic achievement. The result of meta analysis on 14 effects sizes from 3899 subjects show that self regulated learning strategies is positively correlated to academic achievement (r = 0.26). The difference in variance of correlation can, among others, be caused by sampling error (4.63%) and error in measurement of independent as well as dependent variables (4.44%). This small percentage shows that error deviation probably caused by sampling error and error in measurement of independent and dependent variables was very small. Result indicated that self regulated learning strategies positively influence students’ academic achievement

    This qualitative study aims to know how the psychological dynamic of Subjective Well‐Being (SWB) of children is from divorced parents. This research involved three children from divorced parents as subject. The subjects’ ages were between 18‐21 years old. Data was collected through in‐depth interview, participative observation, and self report method. Findings indicated that there were three conditions of subjective well‐being of children from divorced parents. The first condition is the condition before the parent`s divorced, whereas the second and the third are the condition after the parent`s divorced. The first condition shows that children from divorced parents have low level of subjective well‐being before their parents divorced. It is mainly because of the parental conflict and the low level of family to spend time together which araised motional attachment. In the second condition, children from divorced parents still have low level of subjective well‐being that mainly because of the parental divorced, parental attitude that never told to their child about the divorced, and the decrease of parental attachment following the divorced. The third condition, children from divorced parents show the higher level of subjective well‐being that mainly because of the acceptance of children for the parents divorced. This acceptance leads children from divorced parents feeling positive affect and life satisfaction

    A mother’s success of lactation depends on her self-management. This study aimed to reveal the contribution of self-awareness (introspection and observation) and self-determination (competency and autonomy) as self-management factors to a lactating mother’s well-being (self-actualization and positive mood). The subjects of this study were 100 mothers who had been breastfeeding for at least six weeks. A structured model was designed with self-awareness as an independent variable to dependent variable of well-being, and as an antecedent variable to self-determination affecting the dependent variable of well-being. Likert scale instruments were used. The data obtained from the questionnaires were analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling program. The models fitting the requirements showed that self-awareness had direct and indirect effects through self-determination on well-being, with a total effect of 0.924. It could be concluded that the success of lactation achieved through the self-management has a strong influence on well-being

    This study was conducted to examine the effect of safety climate and personal experience on safety compliance, particularly in the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), of construction workers. Safety climate and compliance questionnaire was used to measure the level of safety climate and compliance. Personal experience variable consist of work experience and educational experience that was analyzed independently as two variables. The subject of this study (N=70) are construction workers in the rehabilitation project of Amongrogo, in Yogyakarta. Multiple regressions is used for data analyzing. The result indicate the significant effect of both safety climate and personal experience toward safety compliance, particularly in the use of PPE (R 2= .253; p<.05). The coefficient of determination is .253 indicating that both safety climate and personal experience result together 25.3% effective contribution for safety compliance. Safety climate itself results 7.8%, while personal experience results 17.5% effective contribution for safety compliance. There are only three dimensions of safety climate, from sixth dimensions being examined, that have significant effect to safety compliance, which are supervisor safety practices, safety attitude, and safety training dimension. Supervisor safety practices have dominant effect, and result 39.8% effective contribution on safety compliance
