    Efikasi diri dan kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa: Regulasi diri dan motivasi akademik sebagai mediator: Students' self-efficacy and critical thinking skills: Self-regulation and academic motivation as mediators

    The low critical thinking skills of students in Indonesia are a serious problem, characterized by minimal active participation in discussions, lack of analytical skills, and low learning motivation. This study aimed to analyze self-efficacy's role in shaping students' critical thinking skills through self-regulation and academic motivation as mediators. This study involved 384 randomly recruited from 63,556 students at one of the universities in Madura. The research instruments used were the critical thinking scale (α = 0.85), self-regulation scale (α = 0.82), academic motivation scale (α = 0.86), and self-efficacy scale (α = 0.88). All scales have met psychometric requirements and have been validated using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that self-regulation and academic motivation positively affect self-efficacy, which then becomes a mediator in improving students' critical thinking skills. This study emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach in Higher Education to develop critical thinking skills by strengthening students' internal factors. Implications for further research will be discussed

    Model kompetensi sosial mahasiswa calon guru: Studi dengan penerapan Structural Equation Modelling: Social competence model of prospective teacher students: A study using Structural Equation Modeling

    Social competence is a life skill that prospective teacher students must possess. Unfortunately, many prospective teacher students have low social competence. This study aims to test the social competence model of prospective teacher students in terms of authoritative parenting patterns and internal locus of control mediated by emotional regulation. The research participants were students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education recruited using purposive sampling techniques (n = 350). The research instruments consisted of the Social Competence in High Education Questionnaire (α=0.906), Parenting Style Dimension Questionnaire (α=0.884), Internal Locus of Control scale (α=0.933), and Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (α=0.874). All research instruments have been validated using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). The research data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The study results showed that empirical data supported the proposed research model. The implications of this study require Universities to provide students with certain strategies to develop social competence, especially in the Faculty of Education

    The current research aims to determine the effect of (1) the solve its strategy on the ability to solve math story problems moderated by working memory; (2) the solve its strategy on the ability to solve math story problems moderated by inhibitory control; (3) the solve its strategy on the ability to solve math story problems moderated by shifting. This experimental research used an untreated control group design model with a dependent pretest and posttest. Participants in the research were students being 4th-grade elementary school students in the city of Yogyakarta. The ability to solve story problems was measured using the test of mathematical ability (TOMA), the backward digit span task to measure working memory capacity, and the matching familiar figure test to measure inhibitory control and shifting capacity using the Wisconsin card sorting test. Data analysis uses partial least squares (PLS). The research results showed that only the moderating effect of inhibitory control was proven to support the influence of the solve-it strategy on the ability to solve math story problems. Implications for further research are discussed

    Self-stigma dan kualitas hidup orang dengan psoriasis: Menilik peranan self-compassion sebagai moderator: Self-stigma and quality of life for people with psoriasis: Examining the role of self-compassion as a moderator

    Abstract Psoriasis is a skin-based autoimmune disease. Individuals creating self-stigma often internalize stigma about skin disease. Self-stigma was found to reduce the quality of life of psoriatic individuals. Self-compassion is thought to weaken the impact of self-stigma on quality of life. However, this has yet to be studied within the psoriatic. This study aims to determine and understand the role of self-compassion as a moderator of the effect of self-stigma on the quality of life of psoriatic individuals. An explanatory mixed-method study was conducted. Quantitatively, through purposive sampling, 167 individuals aged 18-65 years diagnosed with psoriasis for at least two years were involved. Instruments used were Psoriasis Internalized Stigma Scale, Self-Compassion Scale, and Dermatology Life Quality Index, processed through Hayes Macro PROCESS moderating analysis technique. Qualitatively, data were obtained through interviews with two participants and analyzed thematically. Results showed that self-compassion could not be a significant moderator, and several factors were considered more influential. Future study needs to consider personality factors. Although self-compassion could not significantly moderate, its effect on self-stigma could still be considered for intervention.  Keywords: Psoriasis; self-compassion; self-stigma; quality of life   Abstrak Psoriasis adalah penyakit autoimun yang menyerang kulit. Stigma yang beredar terkait penyakit kulit kerap diinternalisasi menjadi self-stigma dan ditemukan mengurangi tingkat kualitas hidup individu psoriasis. Self-compassion diduga dapat melemahkan dampak dari self-stigma terhadap kualitas hidup. Namun hal ini belum pernah diteliti pada kelompok psoriasis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan memahami peran self-compassion sebagai moderator antara pengaruh self-stigma terhadap kualitas hidup individu psoriasis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah mixed-method eksplanatori. Secara kuantitatif, melalui purposive sampling, penelitian melibatkan 167 individu berusia 18-65 tahun yang telah didiagnosis psoriasis selama setidaknya dua tahun. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Psoriasis Internalized Stigma Scale(a=0,92), Self-Compassion Scale(a=0,87), dan Dermatology Life Quality Index(a=0,99), diolah menggunakan teknik analisis moderasi Macro PROCESS Hayes. Data kualitatif didapatkan melalui wawancara terhadap dua partisipan dan diolah dengan teknik analisis tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self-compassion tidak dapat berperan sebagai moderator yang signifikan. Hasil wawancara menemukan beberapa faktor yang diduga lebih berpengaruh dalam melemahkan pengaruh self-stigma terhadap kualitas hidup. Penelitian selanjutnya perlu mempertimbangkan faktor kepribadian individu.     Work-family culture dan organizational commitment karyawan wanita: Work-life balance sebagai mediator: Work-family culture and organizational commitment of female employees: Work-life balance as a mediator

    Abstract The economy and education levels in Indonesia which continue to grow are not directly proportional to the increase in women employees. One of the factors that make Indonesian women underrepresented in the workforce is the family factor, women decided to leave work when they are married. This study aims to examine the effect of work-life balance in mediating the relationship between work-family culture and organizational commitment of women employees in the hope women employees are more committed to the organization because of the availability of supportive organizational culture. The instruments used are the work-family culture scale (∝ = 0.84), work-life balance (∝ = 0.88), and organizational commitment (∝ = 0.72). The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and the participants are 120 women employees in the banking industry. Data analysis used PROCESS Hayes model 4 (simple mediation). The results showed that work-life balance fully mediates the relationship between work-family culture and organizational commitment. This study provides an understanding of the importance of implementing a work-family culture to balance work and life demand in order to make employees more committed to the organization. Keywords: Female employees; organizational commitment; Work-family culture; Work-life balance   Abstrak Tingkat ekonomi dan pendidikan di Indonesia yang terus tumbuh ternyata tidak berbanding lurus dengan bertambahnya tenaga kerja perempuan. Salah satu faktor kurangnya partisipasi pekerja perempuan di Indonesia adalah faktor keluarga yaitu perempuan memutuskan untuk keluar dari pekerjaan karena sudah berkeluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh work-life balance dalam memediasi hubungan work-family culture dan organizational commitment karyawan wanita sehingga diharapkan karyawan wanita lebih berkomitmen terhadap organisasi karena budaya organisasi yang mendukung. Instrumen yang  digunakan  adalah  skala  work family culture  (∝= 0.84), work-life balance (∝ = 0.88), dan organizational commitment (∝= 0.72).Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan  kriteria  karyawan  wanita di industri perbankan dan didapatkan 120 responden. Teknik analisis data menggunakan PROCESS Hayes model 4 (mediasi sederhana). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  bahwa work-life balance memediasi secara sempurna hubungan antara work-family culture dan organizational commitment. Studi ini memberikan pemahaman akan pentingnya menerapkan work-family culture untuk menyeimbangkan tuntutan kehidupan pekerjaan dan pribadi sehingga membuat karyawan lebih berkomitmen pada organisasi.     Kepemimpinan inklusif dan voice behavior pada karyawan: Menguji peran budaya inovatif: Inclusive leadership and voice behavior among employees: Examining the role of an innovative culture

    Abstract Organizational culture is one of the predictors that can influence employees' voice behavior. However, research on organizational innovation culture with employee voice behavior still needs to be more extensive and needed. This study aims to determine the role of innovative organizational culture in mediating the relationship between inclusive leadership and employee voice behavior. The study conveniently sampled 174 employees from various innovative companies. The measuring instruments used are the Inclusive Leadership Scale (α = 0.85), Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (α = 0.84), and the Voice Behavior Scale (α = 0.93) which have been adapted into Indonesian—data analysis with the PROCESS 4 model from Hayes. The result highlights that inclusive leadership was positively correlated with employee voice behavior, and innovative culture partially mediated the relationship between inclusive leadership and employee voice behavior. The implication for organizations is to set up leaders with inclusive characteristics through self-development and training, facilitating safe environments to express employee voices and opinions by implementing values that support flexibility and autonomy. Namun, penelitian terkait budaya inovatif organisasi bersama dengan outcome perilaku bersuara karyawan ini masih minim diteliti dan memerlukan eksplorasi lebih lanjut. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui peranan budaya inovatif organisasi dalam memediasi hubungan antara kepemimpinan inklusif dan perilaku bersuara karyawan. Sampel penelitian adalah karyawan yang bekerja dari beberapa perusahaan yang diprediksi memiliki budaya organisasi yang inovatif dengan jumlah populasi yang tidak diketahui secara pasti dan dipilih menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Alat ukur yang dipakai adalah Inclusive Leadership Scale (α = 0.85), Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument (α = 0.84), Voice Behavior Scale (α = 0.93) yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Analisis data dengan PROCESS model 4 Hayes.  Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan inklusif secara positif berkorelasi dengan voice behavior, budaya inovatif memiliki efek mediasi parsial pada hubungan kepemimpinan inklusif dan voice behavior karyawan. Implikasi penelitian ini bagi organisasi supaya mampu memfasilitasi lingkungan yang aman bagi karyawan dalam menyampaikan suara dan pendapatnya dengan menyiapkan pemimpin-pemimpin yang memiliki karakteristik inklusif melalui pengembangan diri dan training serta menerapkan nilai-nilai yang mendukung fleksibilitas dan otonomi bagi karyawan.     Peranan kesepian sebagai moderator antara distres psikologis dengan kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa selama pandemi COVID-19: The role of loneliness as a moderator between psychological distress and the psychological well-being of students during the COVID-19 pandemic

    The COVID-19 pandemic threatens students' psychological well-being. Distress and loneliness are prevalent psychological problems related to mobility restriction and "stay-at-home" instruction. University students are vulnerable to dealing with mental health problems and experience a decrease in psychological well-being during the pandemic. This study was to examine whether loneliness plays a moderating role in relationships between distress and psychological well-being. This research was conducted in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and evaluated how loneliness and distress affect students' well-being since then. A total of 747 students (female = 566, Mage = 20,2 years) participated through the purposive technique. We used three instruments: the Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (α=0,926), the UCLA Loneliness Scale (α=0,722), and the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale (α=0,932). Our moderation analysis showed that psychological distress significantly decreased psychological well-being (F = 306, p < 0,01). The role of loneliness as a moderator in the relationship between distress and psychological well-being also showed a significant moderation model (F = 161, p < 0,01). Loneliness contributes to a decrease in students' psychological well-being who experience psychological distress. Distres psikologis dan kesepian merupakan masalah psikologis yang berkaitan dengan pembatasan mobilitas dan instruksi stay at home. Selama masa pandemi, mahasiswa rentan terhadap masalah psikologis dan mengalami penurunan kesejahteraan psikologis. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menguji apakah kesepian berperan sebagai moderasi dalam hubungan antara distres dan kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada konteks pandemi COVID-19 dan berupaya melihat bagaimana pengaruh kesepian dan distres pada kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa. Sebanyak 747 mahasiswa (perempuan = 566, Musia = 20.2 tahun) berpartisipasi secara purposive sampling. Tiga instrumen digunakan: Kessler Psychological Distress Scale (α=0,926), UCLA Loneliness Scale (α=0,722), dan Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-Being Scale (α=0,932).  Analisis moderasi menunjukkan bahwa distres psikologis memiliki peran signifikan dalam menurunkan kesejahteraan psikologis (F = 306, p < 0,01). Peran kesepian sebagai moderator dalam hubungan antara distres terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis juga menunjukkan model yang signifikan (F = 161, p < 0,01).
