Pengembangan Pendidikan Informal
The informal education has not yet been developed as much as the formal and non formal education. This education plays an important role in developing children’s and youths personalities. Most of the time spent in their life is in informal education, especially through television program, daily life relationship and communication in the community and their family life. Cooperation between the Educational Department and other institutions related to television programs, communities and families is urgently needed. In the autonomy system, these three kinds of educations should be handled by Dinas Pendidikan, Dewan Pendidikan, and the board of mass education in kabupaten/kota. So, these kinds of education can equally be developed. On the lowest level, the informal education must be managed by Komite Sekolah which collaborates with other community organizations

The Effect of Learning Strategies on Students' Groundstrokes Skills at Playing Tennis. The study aimed to investigate the effect of learning strategies on students' groundstrokes skills at playing tennis. Randomized group design was employed to select the 32 students among 100 students of Physical Education Department, Faculty of Education IKIP Malang. Hypotheses were tested using Anova. The findings suggest that the effect of varied learning strategies on students' groundstrokes skills was significantly different from that of conventional ones
Pelaksanaan Pengajaran Bahasa Inggris di Sekolah Dasar
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pengajaran Bahasa Inggris di SD. Populasi adalah guru Bahasa Inggris dan siswa kelas IV, V dan VI di delapan SD di Kotamadya Blitar. Sampel total guru berjumlah 10 orang, dan siswa berjumlah 350 orang yang diambil secara rambang sederhana. Data dikumpulkan dengan observasi, wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan statistik persentase dan rerata. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pendekatan, pemilihan dan pengembangan bahan, kemampuan guru dalam merencanakan dan melaksanakan pengajaran, serta media dan sumber belajar pada umumnya sangat kurang. Kualifikasi guru cukup memadai, minat dan motivasi berprestasi sangat baik, dan prestasi belajar Bahasa Inggris siswa tergolong cukup

The movement on building excellent schools has developed recently. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (Islamic Elementary Schools, MI), which used to be managed traditionally, has also been developed to that direction. The criteria of excellent education are based on the academic quality and the goals of MI. The excellent MI is indicated by the effectiveness of managing the invisible conceptual principles such as values, philosophy, and ideology. Such an effectiveness can trigger the support of the internal and external community of MI. This becomes the key of the success in managing the visible symbols and expressions like conceptual, material, and behavior manifestation. In addition, excellent MI is also indicated by its vision about the future through the strategic planning refering to self-management
Analisis Model Faktor-faktor Penentu Kecenderungan Perilaku Kekerasan Siswa SMA
This research was designed to explore the effects of extrinsic and intrinsic factors on violence. A structural equation model (SEM) was applied for analyzing more comprehensive and integrative determinant factors of violence, which involved 589 subjects (280 male and 309 female) of public school students in South Sulawesi. Extrinsic factors included violence experience, parenting, and parent education, while intrinsic factors included students’ temperament and self-concept. The research found that there was a positive correlation between violence’ experience with violence, and between authoritarian and permissive parenting with violence. There was a significant negative correlation between authoritative parenting with violence, between temperament with violence, and between self-concept and violence. There was significant difference of violence behavior between male and female student. The male student is higher than female student
Pola dan Problematika Penyelenggaraan Achievement Grouping Class di SMU
This study was focused on the implementation of Achievement Grouping Class in Senior High Schools (SMUs). Data were collected from pupils, teachers and principals of six SMUs in Malang Municipality. Using qualitative analysis, the study found out that the Achievement Grouping Class seemed to be able to accelerate the pupils' learning achievement. The system was applied by placing the high-achievers in one or two class(es) separated from the others. The interpersonal relationship within the regular classes was better than within the achievement classes dominated by interpersonal competition
Faktor-faktor yang Berpengaruh terhadap Semangat Kerja Guru dalam Melaksanakan Tugas Jabatan di Sekolah Dasar
Factors Affecting Teachers' Morale in Doing Their Professional Tasks at the Elementary Schools. The study attempted to describe teachers' morale and factors affecting the teachers' morale to do their professional tasks. The sample consisted of 300 teachers of the public elementary schools in Yogyakarta taken by cluster proporsional random sampling. The data were gathered by questionnaires, interview and documentary, and then analyzed statistically by mean and standard deviation. The results showed that the mean of teachers' morale was 147.33 with standard deviation 9.62. It means that the teachers had a high morale to do their professional tasks. There were positive influences of school condition, principal leadership, education and salary of teachers, but there were no influences of work period and profession level to the teachers'morale to do their professional tasks
Pengelolaan Kelas dan Hubungannya dengan Prestasi Belajar Siswa Kelas III Sekolah Dasar
Classroom Management and Its Relations to the Learning Achievement of the Third Graders of Elementary School. This classroom action research was aimed to find out information whether the learning achievement on social studies was different before and after treatment. The study was carried out in SDN 3 Mattoangin Makassar, South Sulawesi, and involved pupils and teacher of the 3rd grade. The result of the statistical analysis using t-tes showed that the t-value (2.96) was greater than the t-critical value at the level of significance 0.05 with degree of freedom 25 (2.06). It was concluded that there was a significant difference of learning achievement before and after the classroom action research

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of muscular endurance traning on the arms of male students. Employing a pre and post test control group design, this study involved 16 junior high school students, assigned to pull the pulley as many times as possible. It was found that two models of muscular endurance training implemented in this study did not differ significantly although one model improved the muscular endurance more than the other
Pengembangan Paket Permainan Simulasi Bimbingan Belajar untuk Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan paket permainan simulasi bimbingan belajar (PPSBB) dan menguji secara empirik keefektifan PPSBB sebagai teknik bimbingan belajar untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan observasi dan tes sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif, kuantitatif (persentase), dan analisis kecenderungan dengan uji rerata. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa PPSBB yang dikembangkan menurut model Heinich dengan isi lima indikator motivasi belajar Anderson dan kawan-kawan, dan strategi pelaksanaan berdasarkan teori behavioristik-motivasi dan operant conditioning dapat digunakan sebagai teknik bimbingan belajar untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa SLTP
