    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan wujud penerapan pendekatan komunikatif dalam pengajaran bahasa Indonesia. Data dikumpulkan dengan lembar penilaian satuan pelajaran dan wawancara. Sampel adalah guru bahasa Indonesia di kelas V SD Kecamatan Klojen Malang yang diambil secara rambang purposif. Analisis dilakukan dengan kriteria yang merupakan cermin wujud penerapan pendekatan komunikatif dalam lima komponen rencana sajian pelajaran. Diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan pendekatan komunikatif dalam pengajaran bahasa Indonesia di kelas V SD Negeri Kecamatan Klojen Malang secara keseluruhan berkualitas kurang

    This study is an effort to understand the implementation of the PLS program and factors influencing the advantages and disadvantages in applying the program. The sample consisted of officials of the Department of Education and formal and informal leaders in South Kalimantan related to the compulsory education. Data were gathered by using questionnaire and interview, and documentary analysis. The results revealed that the implementation the out-of-school program faced some problems concerning with social and cultural background. The learners joined the program to get knowledge and expand their skills, while others were not interested in it and assumed that the program was non relevant to their daily needs

Natsir's thought in education is inevitably related to his social, political, and religious background, although his religious comprehension is dominant. According to Natsir, education is an effort to build the human beings physically and spiritually to be a perfect one. The physical and spiritual perfection is indicated by the worldly-material need fulfillment and the hereafter-spiritual need fulfillment combined.     Penelitian tindakan ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan kreativitas, mengembangkan kepribadian warga belajar dan mengaktifkan kegiatan Pramuka kecamatan sesuai dengan ketentuan yang terdapat dalam buku petunjuk Pramuka. Kegiatan berlangsung tiga tahun yang berlangsung sejak 1996. Dalam kegiatan ini penelitian dilaksanakan pertahun sesuai dengan tenaga dan dana yang ada. Pada 1996-1997 Pramuka cukup efektif dalam menumbuhkan kreativitas dan mengembangkan kepribadian jika programnya bersifat rekreatif dan produktif, seperti APE dan menyablon, tetapi dalam satu tahun belum berhasil mengaktifkan kegiatan Pramuka kecamatan sesuai dengan buku petunjuk. Program pemahaman internasional, perdamaian dan kerjasama lebih mudah dilaksanakan apabila kegiatan Pramuka dapat diaktifkan

    The implementation of the credit-point regulation on research activities influences the morale of lecturers of state universities in East Java. This is a correlational and ex-post facto study. The data were collected by means of questionnaire and interview to 361 out of 5616 lecturers of state universities in East Java. The results show that the lecturers relate their teaching, research, and community-service activities to research with sufficiently high morale. Though complicated, the implementation procedures are suited with the condition of the university. There is no fixed schedule as to carrying out the research activities. The administrative management is found to be efficient and effective. There is no significant correlation between the implementation of credit-point regulation on research activities and the morale of state university lecturers in East Java
