Kekerasan dalam Rumah Tangga dan Pendidikan untuk Pembinaan Moral Anak
Domestic violence gives influence on students' morality. This study aims to describe students' knowledge of and attitudes toward domestic violence. The data collected from 250 students of primary schools, 150 of junior high school, and 100 of senior high schools indicate that domestic violence make children feel inferior, scared, lazy, and doubtful. Interferensi Bahasa Indonesia terhadap Penguasaan Belajar Bahasa Inggris Siswa Sekolah Dasar
Penguasaan lebih dari satu bahasa mengakibatkan terjadinya interferensi di antara bahasa tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya interferensi bahasa Indonesia terhadap penguasaan belajar Bahasa Inggris siswa SD. Data dikumpulkan dari 33 orang siswa kelas 4 SD Bendogerit VI Blitar melalui lembar kerja tes bahasa Inggris yang diolah secara naratif-deskriptif kualitatif. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa interferensi morfologis bahasa Inggris hanya ditemukan pada proses morfologis reduplikasi, sedangkan interferensi sintaksis dapat diidentifikasi dengan ketidakhadiran to be (is, are), ketidakhadiran artikel, dan keterbalikan pada susunan kata keterangan dalam tata kalimat bahasa Inggris
Model Adopsi Inovasi Berdasar Perhatian dan Penyikapan Guru terhadap Perubahan Kurikulum
Kurikulum baru di Indonesia telah dilaksanakan secara bertahap. Bagaimana kesiapan para guru untuk mengadopsi perubahan kurikulum itu? Sudahkah mereka memiliki sikap yang tepat terhadap perubahan yang terjadi? Salah satu model implementasi adopsi inovasi kurikulum yang mungkin dapat diterapkan di Indonesia adalah model adopsi berdasar perhatian (Concern-Based Adoption Model, CBAM) yang merupakan hasil riset tentang implementasi inovasi oleh Pusat Penelitian dan Pengembangan Universitas Texas. Dalam model ini yang dipentingkan adalah perhatian guru terhadap inovasi, termasuk perubahan kurikulum.
Relevansi Bidang Tugas Pengelola Program Ke-PLS-an di Beberapa Lembaga Pemerintah dan Swasta dengan Kemampuan Profesional yang Dihasilkan oleh Program Studi S-1 PLS FIP
Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui relevansi bidang tugas pengelola program ke-PLS-an di instansi pemerintah dan swasta dengan kemampuan lulusan program S-1 PLS FIP. Penelitian ini bersifat evaluatif. Populasinya adalah instansi/lembaga yang mengembangkan program ke-PLS-an di Jawa Timur. Sampel diambil secara purposif. Data dikumpulkan melalui dokumentasi dan focus group discussion. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif non-statistik. Hasilnya adalah bahwa kurikulum S-1 PLS relevan dengan bidang tugas pengelola program ke-PLS-an di instansi pemerintah dan swasta, dan bahwa kebutuhan instansi sampai tahun 2000 terhadap lulusan S-1 PLS di Jawa Timur baru tercukupi sesudah tahun 2010

The focus of this research is to test wether there is a significant correlation between art knowledge and interest in teaching arts. Two hundred students of primary school teacher education at State University of Makassar were involved. The descriptive analysis of the data obtained from documentation and questionnaire indicates that there was a positive correlation between the students’ knowledge and their interest in teaching arts in primary schools

The purpose of the study is to describe the application of collaborative learning to the teaching of undergraduate introduction to organic chemistry for the first semester of medical students at the Faculty of Medicine, Atma Jaya Catholic University. It would be presented an overview of jigsaw and fish bowling methods, as collaborative approach, those can be done in a large class (more than 50 students). The Internship Program of Educational Management Attended by Students of Educational Administration Department: Study of the Process and the Product. The purpose of the study was to investigate the effectiveness of the internship program attended by the students of Educational Administration Department. The data were collected through observation and documentation and were then analyzed in order to get the mean value and the standard deviation. The findings, which concerned the internship process and its products, indicated that the quality of this internship program was categorized good with a relatively homogeneous variation
Meningkatkan Kemampuan Siswa SLTP dalam Mengemukakan Pendapat dalam Mata Pelajaran PPKn
This classroom action research (CAR) aimed to improve students' ability in expressing their opinion in the PPKn class. It involved 96 students of the SLTP I Malang. The cycle model was implemented in this CAR. This study was able to improve students' ability in expressing their opinion. It enriched learning materials by utilizing school environment, textbooks, current events or issues, and strategies maximizing multimethods and multimedia use. The CAR improved the students' ability qualitatively and quantitatively
Helping Children Develop Knowledge of Audience and Purpose of Their Writing
When writing, children should understand how knowledge of audience and purpose influences writing: the range of types of writing will vary according to the audience and the particular purpose. Unfortunately, many children seem to think that the teacher is the sole audience for classroom writing with the purpose of transmitting information or conveying ideas to the teacher for appraisal. This article highlights the importance of knowing audience and purpose when writing and the teachers’ role in a classroom context in helping children develop knowledge of audience and purpose by applying some possible writing activities in the classroom
Upaya Meningkatkan Pemahaman Siswa Kelas V Sekolah Dasar terhadap Operasi Perkalian Pecahan Desimal
This classroom action research aimed at helping students increase their understanding toward multiplication operation of decimal fractions. The subjects of this study were 3 five graders of Madyopuro and Sawojajar Malang Elementary School whose mathematics achivement was low. This study found the students mistakes and the causes which were done by students in understanding fraction of the same value, changing fraction, and multiplication operation of decimal fractions. Learning to compute multiplication operation of decimal fraction was done by introducing them to 3 ways or steps. First, changing decimal fractions to simple fractions, across, and down, could increase the students’ understanding about multiplication operation of decimal fraction
