Efisiensi Tugas Dosen dalam Struktur Organisasi FMIPA Universitas Negeri Malang
The problem studied is the working efficiency of lecturers within the organizational structure of the Faculty of Mathematics and Science (FMIPA), State University of Malang (UM). The design used is a survey involving the lecturers of the faculty. Data were collected using questionnaires, interviews, and inventory, and then analyzed statistically by t-test. The results show that among all the departments, student-lecturer ratio in the Department of Physics is efficient, while the ratio in the Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology is inefficient. Viewed overall, student-lecturer ratio in FMIPA UM is inefficient. Among all the departments, lecturers' load in the Departments of Physics and Biology is efficient. From the point of view of lecturers' load, the work of lecturers in FMIPA UM is inefficient

Improving Students' Ability in English through Non-English Courses. The needs for English felt by the university students are more realistic than those felt by the students at the lower levels of education. Their immediate need for English can be realistic when they have to read English textbooks and other references required in their courses. The lecturers of non-English courses have an important role in making the students' need for English realistic. They can make it realistic by assigning the students to do one or all of the following: read textbooks and references written in English, make a 'clipping' of articles written in English relevant to the topics covered in their courses, write papers in Indonesian based on the references and articles they read, and use English as a medium of instruction partially or fully

The aim of this study is to find out the influence of principals power on teachers performance. One hundred and forty teachers from ten public senior high school were involved in this study. Data from questionnaires were descriptively analyzed. The results of the study indicate that principals expert power positively correlates with teachers performance. However, the correlation is of low degree due to the fact that principals are perceived to offer teachers with little help
Implementasi Problem-Based Learning di Perguruan Tinggi
The focus of the study is to examine the effectiveness of Problem Based Learning (PBL) in the teaching learning process as compared to the conventional learning. Two classes of students taking Office Management course were involved, one being taught using PBL and the other using the conventional method. Two essay tests were given to the two classes, one given at the beginning of the semester and the other after four-week PBL program. The result of t-test indicates that PBL class performed significantly better, implying that PBL could better improve students' achievement in Office Management Course

The aims of this study were to develop students’ antonomous learning and to equip lecturers with the knowledge of Project-Based Learning (PBL). Using a qualitative, participatory design, this study involved student taking final projects and lecturers supervising the students. PBL was found to be effective in helping students determine topics for projects, examine the practical and theoretical significance of the project, develop project timeline, select relevant methodology, and utilize relevant literature
Peningkatan Keterampilan Gerak Dasar Lokomotor Anak Kelas Tiga Sekolah Dasar melalui Belajar Bermain Gedrik
Eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh pola pembelajaran bermain gedrik terhadap peningkatan keterampilan gerak dasar lokomotor. Eksperimen menggunakan rancangan faktorial 2 x 2. Subjek berjumlah 40 anak, 20 perempuan dan 20 laki-laki. Setiap kelompok terdiri dari 10 anak, 5 perempuan dan 5 laki-laki. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes lari cepat 30 meter, jingkat cepat 15 meter, jingkat tanpa awalan, jingkat dengan awalan, lompat dengan dua kaki tumpu, dan lompat dengan awalan. Analisis dilakukan dengan analisis varian dua jalur dan uji lanjut Newman Keuls. Hasilnya menunjukkan antara lain bahwa terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara bermain gedrik saruk dan gedrik gebruk. Gedrik saruk memberikan pengaruh lebih baik daripada gedrik gebruk
Pengembangan Kemampuan Profesional Petugas Bimbingan dan Konseling di SMU
This research was intended to analyze the characteristics and the conceptual framework of the professional development for secondary-school teachers of guidance and counseling. The data were collected from 62 teachers by using questionnaires, attitude scales, and ability test. The results of frequency percentages show that teachers’ professionalism varied, particularly in terms of their subject mastery, profession, and practical experience. Additionally, they had positive attitudes toward guindance and counseling. Unfortunately, the facilities to carry out guidance and counseling services were not adequate. It was then suggested that teachers of guidance and counseling be provided with continuous training

This study was focused on the organization effectiveness of private universities. Data were collected using a questionnaire administered to 263 lecturers of private universities in Malang Municipality drawn randomly. The data were then analyzed statistically by percentages, mean measures, dan path analysis. The results indicated that there were 7 components of organizational effectiveness: communication system, goal setting, leadership process, decision-making process, motivation intensity/strength, controlling process, and interaction process. In general, there was a correlation between subordinates' characteristics, situation control, leadership style, organization culture, organization climate, and the organization effectiveness of the private universities
Persepsi Pimpinan tentang Tingkat Keefektifan Organisasi Unit-unit Kerja di IKIP Malang
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat keefektifan organisasi unit-unit kerja di IKIP Malang. Data dikumpulkan dengan angket dalam bentuk skala penilaian. Populasi penelitian adalah semua pimpinan unit kerja mulai dari Kepala Biro sampai dengan Kepala Bagian yang berjumlah 61 orang dan semuanya dijadikan responden penelitian. Analisis data menggunakan statistik persentase untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang tingkat keefektifan organisasinya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat keefektifan organisasi unit-unit kerja BAU, BAAK, LPM, Puslit, UPPL, Perpustakaan, dan fakultas-fakultas di lingkungan IKIP Malang berkualifikasi efektif
