Get PDFThe Research aims to know: (a) How about Mehdi Golshani’s thoughts on relationship between science and religion?, and, (b) How about relevancy Mehdi Golshani’s thoughts for developing of science and religion scientifically. So, the material object of the research is Golshani’s thoughts on relationship between science and religion that is studied with using epistimology as it’s the formal object. Results of the research that: firtsly, Golshani used terms of “the sacred sciences” and “the secular sciences” for understanding to relationship between the science and the religion. Then, his idea on “the sacred sciences” developed by him becomes “Islamic Science”. He defines that the “Islamic Science” is a kind of science that has a weltanschauung which it based on the Quran values. Here, Golshani stresses on an importance to develop the Quran epistemology in Moslems society in modern era now. Secondly, to create ideal expectations in the relationship between science and religion and its benefits for humankind and harmony in the universe, Mehdi Golshani’s thoughts and implementable offers, especially for developing natural sciences in the Moslems society, are an urgent thing and properly considerable.Keywords: “the sacred sciences”, the “Islamic Science”, the Quran epistemolog

The ethics of Levinas's responsibilities must be understood in a metaphysical aspect. The research method used is literature research using hermeneutics method. The essence of Levinas’s responsibility: responsibility as an existential fact, nonnormative, for the others, substitutional, the essential structure of subjectivity, a basis for existence, the responsibility of humanizing himself, and responsibilities make me unique from others. Get PDFThe 21st century is the age of information. Information spreads through newspapers, magazines, television; and also scattered very massively over the internet. This paper was written for two reasons. First, people sometimes perceive information identical with truth. Second, the metaphysics of information is important to be discussed when it is associated with the phenomenon of media and politics in Indonesia. This paper analyses the metaphysics of information by 'disclosing' information structures that refer to Jean Baudrillard's thought. For Baudrillard, behind the phenomenon of information there are actually three elements at once, namely representation, manipulation, and simulation. The three elements above, influence each other. Real information is the result of the process of representation, ie the process of re-preserving reality and then transmitting that representation of reality to others. Manipulation also becomes an important element in information. According to Baudrillard, the element of simulation in this information is still closely related to the first element, namely representation. Mosque as a symbol, this monument to political power contains some of the most basic contradictions thats characterize Muslim societies in the modern world. A similar distinction applies to the to the morning officialy attributed to the mosque, it maybe “open”, “toleran”, “cosmopolitan”, and “modern” Muslim reformers, embattled governments against increasingly militant oppositional groups which have adopted Islam as an overarching instrument of discourse and struggle. Muslim reformers, activists, and militants nearly always say that theirs is a “movement”, a ‘current” which is still in the process of gestation and evolution. Emancipatory politics is concerned, above all, with themes of justice, equality, and participation, the very same themes that most Muslim reformers are in fact concerned with. Islamic experience involves a redefination of identity in a world which has become homogenized by the globalizing process of modernism The Islamic experience is therefore a call for an emancipatory politics which means justice where there is none, a more egalitarian distribution of wealth and a more democratic system of decision making.

As a human behavior, the crime of terrorism is one thing that can be analized from various perspectives, as well as from the existentialism philosophy framework of Gabriel H. Marcel as described in this article. In relation to the analysis of terrorist behavior in Indonesia, it can be concluded that acts of terrorism, espe- cially those committed by suicide bombings, are ontologically behavioral parts of human chosen efforts to achieve "Being", which also involves meeting between "I" and "You". Regardless of any deed done (in terms of material deeds), in Marcel's perspective, such deeds are formally examples of "human" acts be- cause of the "procedure" passed by the terrorist according to the phases pro- posed by Marcel. Although it may be a barbaric act, but judging from the formal side of the decision he chooses, the perpetrator of terror is the actor who attains "Being" because he finds the presence of "Thou" in the decisions he takes

PROBLEM EKSISTENSI TRANSGENDER DI INDONESIA DARI PERSPEKTIF POLITIK KOMUNITARIAN
Get PDFIssue of transgender is rising in the life of Indonesian society. To analyze the issue, I use a philosophical approach of communitarianism politics. This study is a library research with content analysis method and hermeneutics. Result of this study shows that the existence of transgender in Indonesia is closely related to orientation of constructed values in Indonesian society. Indonesia is one country that put heterosexualism as a normative value of society or a form of normativity (hetero-normativity). Therefore, identity of gender should be parallel with sexual identity, there is no third choice. This condition is embedded in Indonesian society as well as an assumption of communitarianism which says that orientation of individual values is based on values of his/her society.Then, it will determine the individual existence in his/her society

Get PDFSexual minority workers often choose to hide their true sexual identity to avoid discriminative action towards them. This leads to their invisible position in the workers presentation. Hiding true sexual identity of sexual minority workers creates exclusive relationship between heteronormative majority workers and non-heteronormative minority workers because of unavailability of intensive and personal interactions between them. Thus it makes sexual minority workers are excluded from the workers presentation and preserving discrimination based on sexuality. Using mathematical theory formulated by Alain Badiou, this writing tries to propose a strategy for sexual minority workers to be visible in the workers presentation through coming out action as an event. Coming out in the end is a strategy to fight for equality and an action for discrimination based on sexuality to end
