Mempertimbangkan Fenomena Populisme Islam di Indonesia dalam Perspektif Pertarungan Diskursif: Kontestasi Wacana Politik Antara Gerakan Nasional Pengawal Fatwa Ulama (GNPF-Ulama) dan Nahdlatul Ulama (NU)
This study argues that National Movement of Fatwa Guards-Ulama (GNPF-Ulama) is not the sole political representation of Indonesian Muslim power at the moment, as the main analysis unit when discussing the phenomena of Islamic populism in Indonesia. Nahdlatul Ulama strives to retrieve discourse of Indonesian Islamic populism from GNPF-Ulama. NU's efforts to reinforce its position as an Islamic political power are triggered by evaluation that the resurgence of earlier populis movement has affected NU’s influence as the dominant organization in Indonesia. In line with this argument, discourse analysis on the importance of Indonesian Muslims mobilization for political purposes can be applied both as a theoretical and ideological framework, in addition to the study of populism and Islamic populism. On the other hand, Islamic identity based populism can be understood as one of the models which in contrast with populism based on nationalism. Conversely, the effort to unite nationalism and Islam has become Nu’s agenda to revoke GNPF-Ulama’s popuslis narrative. In spite of differences in religious ideology, the discussion of Islamic populism is arising out of the narrative contestation occurring within the internal Muslims itself. Finally, this study offers a reading of the phenomena of Islamic populism in the context of discourse
Agama dan Sains: Sebuah Kajian Tentang Relasi dan Metodologi
The article aims to understand two issues related to sciences and religions. Firstly, in what forms are sciences and religions related? Secondly, how are the methods of that relation? For that purpose, the subject matter of this study are issues included in the relation between sciences and religion, especially those related to forms of relation and its methodological aspects, which will be discussed by proposing thoughts by a numbers of scholars with different background, especially from Christian-West and Muslims. In addtion, to respond to the research questions, the auhtor will employ Philosophy of Science as a perspective which simultanously be the formal object of the study. The study reveals that while sciences and religions are two difference entities as source of knowledge and source of value of human, the relationship between the two is very dynamic. The dynamic involves conflicts and contrast, independent, dialogous and inter conversation and complatible, to the point of confirmation, integration and harmony. Scientific method is applied by sceintists with particular ways of gaining knowledge about nature. However, when compared to method of knowledge included in religion, beside unique difference embedded in religion’s method, it can not be denied that there is similarity between the two, namely in relation to experience and intepretation, the role of community, analogue and models

Tipologi Filsafat Islam Post Ibnu Rusyd
This article presents an attempt to uncover evidence of philosophical traditions in the Islamic world that are agreed to "die" as alleged by some. Philosophical traditions in the Islamic world ended the conflict after al-Ghazali and the death of Ibn Rushd. Philosophical traditions in the Islamic world continue to live and develop, even here and there are being renewed. Some philosophers after al-Ghazali's attack and the death of Ibn Rushd even presented directions and corrections that were completely different from the tradition of thought that had previously been carried out. Search through various readings, and references show the typology and tendencies. This philosophical tradition with a completely different style, direction, and tendency reach its peak at the hands of Mulla Sadra. Mulla Sadra then referred to several experts as figures who succeeded in synthesizing the three traditions of thought that had once lived in Islam. In the end, this article presents a search for philosophical typologies that grew and developed after the al-Ghazali attack and the death of Ibn Rusyd

This paper explains why Abdul Karim Soroush wants a new direction in theological and politicaldiscourse of Islam, especially in Iran, while supported by philosophical discourses. It employs the philosophy of science,in understanding human religiosity, thatrequires a new perspective in viewing reality, whether individual, social, or global. To counter the wave of authoritarianism, the article employsthe theory of depreciation and development of religious interpretation (the contraction and expansion of religious interpretation), by introducing three principlesof analysis namely: coherence or integration and correspondence, interpenetration, and evolution

Pathet is one of the most important parts in a puppet performance. Unfortunately, discussions about pathets, especially from a metaphysical perspective are very rarely found so that the wayang metaphysics is not comprehensive. This study examines the metaphysical dimensions in the puppet performance pathet in Anton Bakker's metaphysical perspective, with the aim to complete the existing puppet metaphysics studies. This research uses the methodical method of assessment, namely interpretation; induction and deduction; internal coherence; holistic; historical continuity; idealization; comparison; heuristics; inclusive or analogous language; and description, and reflection. The results of this study indicate that: first, pathet is a representation of the concept of harmony in puppet shows. Pathet is a transcendental ontological norm in puppet shows. Transcendental ontological norms, in the perspective of Anton Bakker's ontology thinking, are called harmony. In other words, it can be said that the pathet is a representation of harmony or ontological norms that apply in a puppet show. All aesthetic elements of the show are returned to the pathet, and must remain in the corridor of the applicable pathet
Paradigma Etika Publik dalam Kearifan Lokal Pela
ABSTRACT This paper is based on the basic preposition that local wisdom contains values of virtue that can contribute to the development of public ethics. By examining the Pela cultural institutions in Maluku, this paper intends to answer two main questions: what is Pela’s value of virtues and how to link these values in the framework of developing public ethics relevant to inclusive humanity. The writing aims to offer a thought about public ethics by digging its source from one of the local wisdom of the people of Maluku, namely Pela. The development of the public ethics perspective refers to the concern about the actual context of society, namely pluralism, ethnicity and religion. In this paper, in addition to literature review, the author also uses participatory observation methods and in-depth interviews as data collection techniques, while data analysis is done in the groove of attending, telling, transcribing, analyzing, reading and rewriting. Through this paper, the author arrives at the finding that not only religions are the source of the values of virtue, but also local wisdom (local genius). Pela also has the values of the virtue, such as brotherhood, equality and goodness. The excavation and discovery of these values contribute to theoretical thinking and public ethical praxis, particularly in a pluralistic Indonesian context. Keywords: Pela, public ethics, pluralism, local wisdom.
