    Laboratory’s management is the important thing for a laboratory. Good management of laboratory will influence the users’ performance. Good management need good performance of laboratory’s manager. Purposes of this study were to describe how well the basic physics laboratory’s management was done and how its influence to users’ performance dan satisfaction that was caused by laboratory manager’s performance when she was serving users.  The analysis was conducted by using descriptive qualitative methods. The results showed that basic physics laboratory of FKIP in Jember University was in good category but for maintenance and safety need to be better, students’ performance as users in very good category although lecturers’ performance as users were in good category, and students and lecturers’ satisfaction when they’re served by laboratory’s manager in some performance’s indicators such as  reability, responsiveness, emphaty, assurance and tangible were in a good enough category

    This experimental research related on the implementation of REACT (Relating,Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, Transferring) learning model with realphenomenon photo media in learning physic at SMA Negeri 1 Pakusari in2016/2017 academic year. The objectives of this research were to describe thestudent’s learning activities and to study the effect of the model to the physiclearning achievment. The design of this research was post test only control groupdesign. The technique of data collection on this research were test, observation,documentation and interview. The student’s learning activity data was collected byobservation sheet and analyzed descriptively. The learning achievment data wascollected by using post test and analyzed by using Independent Sample t test onSPSS 22. Finding of the research were (1)the average of student’s learning activityuusing REACT learning model with real phenomenon photo media was 89,4% whichmeans active; (2) the difference between experiment class and control class is doneby obtained significant value (2-tailed) of 0.000 ≤ 0.05. It means the result of thisresearch proved that the use of REACT learning model with real phenomenon photomedia significantly affected the cognitive learning outcomes at tenth grade SMANegeri 1 Pakusari.Keywords: REACT learning model, real phenomenon photo media, learningachievement , learning activitie

    Problem Based Instruction is one of learning models the predicted able toimprove critical thinking skills of students. Critical thinking skills is thinkingskills in reasoned and reflective by pressing the making decisions about whatshould be trusted and do. The goals of this research were to describes thecritical thinking skills of students in the learning physics during ProblemBased Instruction Model, to examine the differences of physic achievementbetween using Problem Based Instruction Model and Direct InstructionModel and to describe respons of student about learning physics duringProblem Based Instruction Model. The kind of this study was trueexperiment by using randomized subject post-test only control group design.The sample of this research was the students of class X at Panji 1 SeniorHigh School. The data were collected by observation, documentation,student worksheet, test, and interview. The analysis result that the student’sability of critical thinking skills of students in the learning physics duringProblem Besed Instruction Model include in very good category is equal to86,9%, the student’s achievement by use Problem Besed Instruction Model isbetter than Direct Instruction Model, and the respon of student in thelearning physics during Problem Besed Instruction Model is equal 96,25%positif respons

    Guided discovery is a learning model that can expect students to identify knowledge and organize to final concept that is helped  by LKS. This type of research is experimental research held in MA Negeri 1 Jember. The purpose of this study are to assess the influence of guided discovery learning for student’s cognitive learning outcomeon in straight motion learning,to assess the influence of guided discovery learning for student’s affective ability in straight motion learning, and to assess the influence of guided discovery learning to student’s science skill process in straight motion learning. Data collection technique use tests, observations, portofolios, interviews and documentation. Reseach testing by using analyse of Independent Sample t-test with SPSS IBM 23. The result show that guided discovery learning model significantly influence  to student’s cognitive learning outcomeon in straight motion learning, that guided discovery learning model significantly influence student’s affective ability in straight motion learning, guided discovery learning model significantly influence  to student’s science skill process in straight motion learning.   Keyword: Guided Discovery, Cognitive Learning Outcomes, Affective Ability, Science Skill Proces

    This research is about applying of cooperative learning model, type Number Head Together (NHT), which is combined with experimental method. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of NHT model and the combination toward the student’s habit, knowledge, and creativity. It is included experimental research that was done in SMA Negeri Arjasa. The data accumulation technique used documentation, observation, and test. The analyzing data used T test with SPSS 20. The result of the students habit achieved signification number is about 0,000. Furthermore, the student’s knowledge achieved signification number about 0,012. And the result of student’s creativity was achieved signification number about 0,000. Because the signification number of student’s habit, knowledge, and creativity is less than 0,05; it can be concluded that Number Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model combined with experimental method influenced to the student’s habit, knowledge and also the student’s creativity of 10th grade students in SMA Negeri Arjasa

    The purposes of this study are assessing the effect of guided discovery learning model with LKS based on multirepresentation to the Senior High School student’s ability of physics verbal, images (VG) representations, and describing student learning activities. The type of this research is an experimental research. Population of the research was all student’s at SMA Negeri 1 Tapen Bondowoso. Physics VG representation is collected through test, and student learning activities is collected through observations and portofolio. The test results of experimental class and control class are analysed by independent sample t-test using SPSS version 22. The results of the analysis of independent sample t-test for the ability of verbal representations show the Sig. (One-tailed) was 0.000. The results of the analysis of independent sample t-test for the ability of pictorial representations show the Sig. (One-tailed) was 0.000. It can be concluded that guided discovery learning model based LKS based on multirepresentation significantly affect the SMA Negeri 1 Tapen Bondowoso student’s ability of physics VG. The score of student learning activities during learning process are using guided discovery learning model with LKS based on multirepresentation is 88%, it is included very active category

    PENERAPAN MODEL POE (PREDICT-OBSERVE-EXPLAIN) DENGAN METODE EKSPERIMEN TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR IPA DAN RETENSI SISWA DI SMP

    In the process of learning science students are given the opportunity to think aboutand define the concept of its own. This had resulted in the concept of learned students tendnot to last long. So the researchers chose a learning model POE (predict-observe-explain)with the experimental method, which aimed to assess the influence of learning model POE(Predict-Observe-Explain) against the results of the experiment method accompanied bystudent learning and retention results of student learning in junior high school. The type ofthis research was experiments research with post test only control group design. Thetechnique of data collection in this research was the study results and data retention ofstudents. The data analysis techniques was using SPSS 17, student learning outcomes dataobtained value of 0.005<0,05 which show that there was a significant difference betweenthe results of science learning students in class experiments and control classroom. Whilethe value of retention in experimentsclass had increased 2.78% and the control class haddecreased 16.6%.     This research was an experimental research. The purposes of this research were assessing the effect of Problem Based Instruction model to the problem solving skills and describing student learning activities which were using Problem Based Instruction model. Experimental design in this research was the posttest only control group with two classes of samples, that are experiment class and control class. Problem solving skill score was obtained through the problem solving skill test, and student learning activities score was collected through observation and worksheet documentation during learning process. The test results of an experimental class and a control class were statistically compared by independent sample t-test. The significance (1-tailed) value that obtained was 0.000. It meant that problem solving skill score of experiment class student was better than control class student. It can be concluded that Problem Based Instruction model gave significant effect to the problem solving skill. The average score of student learning activities during the learning process was 56,61. The student learning activities criteria was active enough

    A study of cooperative learning model type STAD has been implemented.This study aims to examine the impact of cooperative learning model type STADwith SETS approach on learning achievement, activities and skills as learningoutcomes of SMAN 4 Jember. The study was conducted to students class X who'slearn Temperature and Heat. This research was an experimental study. Datacollection techniques in this research include tests, observation, documentation andinterview. To test the hypothesis of research used analytical techniques IndependentSample T-Test with α level of 0.05 with SPSS version 20.0. Based on the result of theanalysis for learning achievement, activities and skills obtained sig. 0.000 orsmaller than 0.05. Because hypothesis testing used one-tailed, the sig. (P-value)divided by 2. So we have sig. < 0.05 which means H0 rejected Ha is received. Itconcluded that learning achievement, activities and skills in experimental classbetter than the control class or we can say that the cooperative learning model typeSTAD with SETS approach was significantly influence on learning achievement,activities and skills students of SMAN 4 Jember

    ANALISIS PERUBAHAN SUHU RUANGAN TERHADAP KENYAMANAN TERMAL DI GEDUNG 3 FKIP UNIVERSITAS JEMBER

    Most people are often doing indoor activities that they demand indoor comfort to carry out better, calmer, and comfortable activities. This study aims to assess the change of room temperature towards time in Building 3 FKIP Jember University. The research was conducted in lecture room number 35C 201, 35B 203, 35B 101, and 35E 105Building 3 FKIP Jember University. The method used was adescriptive method. Data was analyzed using One-Way Anova using SPSS 22. The results of this study indicate that the ambient temperature in the room changes by time, in general it appears that the room temperatureat 06.00 until 17.00 had a p-value (significance) <0.05, which means there is a significant temperature difference. However, there are several variables that had a p-value (significance) ≥ 0.05 that means no significant temperature difference. The average temperature measurement shows that the highest average is in room 35C 201 (28,445oC), while the lowest is in 35E 105 (27,8oC). The average temperature of the four rooms scored above optimal comfort scale, which is 28.1oC, or higher. The lowest average temperature is obtained at 06.00 WIB with 26oC and the highest average is at 13.00 that reached 29,525oC                                      Keywords: Thermal Comfort, Effective Temperature, Lecture Roo
