    Abstract: This study aimed to describe the communication skills by using model Problem-Based Learning (PBL). The sample was 32 VII-A grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Jember. The method of data collection is the observation and portfolio-assessment student participant worksheet. The observation checklist includes all indicators that the ability to communicate any questions or comments, work in teams, and clarity of voice during a presentation or presenting the results of the discussion. Data processing conducted through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that oral communication skills of students grade VII A has excellent communication skills. Oral communication skills aspects work together in groups has risen 87.5% in the excellent category, aspects of any questions students also increased to 65.62% in both categories, and in the aspect of voice clarity has increased, although still within the category that is good enough 53.12%.     Keywords: communication skills, problem-based learning, natural scienc

    Abstrack: This study aims to analyze creative thinking skills and studentlearning activities in learning chemical materials in everyday life using theProject Learning model. This research design uses "Control GroupDesign". The sample of this research is 11th grade students of NaturalSciences Tegaldlimo Banyuwangi State High School, 11th grade NaturalSciences as a control and 11th grade Natural Sciences as a group ofexperiments conducted learning using Project Learning on chemicals ineveryday life. Variables examined include students' creative thinking skillsand student learning activities. as indicators of creative thinking abilitiesinclude fluency thinking skills, flexible thinking skills, original thinkingskills (Originality), and elaboration skills (Elaboration). In accordance withthe learning model Project Learning, then as an indicator of studentlearning activities, among others, involvement in designing, involvement ingroup discussions, and involvement in preparing projects. Measurement ofstudents' creative thinking abilities is done by doing a post test, whilemeasuring student learning activities is done through observation using achecklist. The results of this study prove that learning through the projectbased learning model significantly (p <0.05) can improve fluency andflexibility in thinking, also increase student participation in discussion andpracticum activities.       Abstract Student worksheet based on the guided inquiry with the snakes and ladders game is one of innovation teaching materials that is used as an alternative learning in the class .This study aims to knowing the the influence of students worksheet based on the guided inquiry with the snakes and ladders game towards student motivation dan learning outcomes .This study research is an experimental research with a population of all students in a class of xi mipa senior high schools 4 jember , and the sample used is students of class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA 3.The result of this study shows that after implementing learning using LKS based on guided inquiry with the snakes and ladders game the average of student motivation and learning outcomes reaches 80,44% and 91,29, this result shows that a student motivated to learn after and their learning outcomes increase.  Keywords : worksheet guided inquiry, motivation, learning outcomes, snake and ladders gam

    Abstract This research was a development research to produce development products in the form of worksheets based on a scientific approach assisted by a virtual laboratory to train students' critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to test the validity of LKS and students' critical thinking skills. This research development model uses Nieveen (2006) which consists of three stages, namely preliminary research, prototyping stage, and stage assessment. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets and tests of critical thinking skills. Respondents of this study were students of class XI MIPA 3 of SMA 4 Jember with a total of 36 students. Based on the results of expert validation analysis the percentage was 81.67% with a very valid category and user validation obtained a percentage of 95.31% with a very valid category. The results of the data analysis of each indicator the critical thinking ability suggests that the critical thinking ability of grade XI students in MIPA 3 belongs to good category. The conclusion of this study was that the development of worksheets based on a virtual laboratory assisted scientific approach can improve students' critical thinking skills.     To obtain the purpose of physics learning is needed teoritically learning, nevertheless the existence of learning environment that supports studentsÒ€ℒ experience directly. This research was conducted is one of Jember Senior High School. In this research, the research subject were students at XI grade Ambulu Senior High School state. The sample which were taken from two classes, such as experimental class 1 which use real laboratory activity and experimental class 2 which use virtual laboratory, by determining the class using random technic sampling. The method of data collection used worksheet instrument as assessment observation of science process skills, and posttest which is formed multiple choice question as learning assessment of cognitive aspect. Then, data was analyzed to determine science process skill and learning assessment using real laboratory activity and virtual laboratory on the subject matter of the kinetic theory of gases which use SPSS 23. Based on the result of analysis data can be conclude that: (1) There was significant differences, science process skills towards physics learning use real and virtual laboratory activities on the subject of the kinetic theory of gases, such as the average score of studentsÒ€ℒ sciens process skills in grade 1 is higher than it in grade 2. (2) There was significant differences, learning assessment towards physics learning use real and virtual laboratory activities on the subject of the kinetic theory of gases, such as at grade 1 has the criteria for the students learning assessment are high category while at grade 2 has the criteria for the students learning assessment in the medium category.Key word: real laboratory, virtual laboratory, science process skills, learning assessment

    This research aimed to describe and analyzed the validity of Student Worksheet (LKS) based on Collaborative Creativity on the subject of direct current circuits on high school students. The type of this research in educational development research. This study used research and development prosedures according to Nievenn (2006). Validation was done by expert validators and user validators. The technique of collecting data used a validation sheet of the student worksheet developed. Based on the result of the validation of the user validators was 4,32 which was include in the valid category and the result oh the expert validator was 4,05 which fall in to the valid category. Students Worksheets which was developed can increase students learning outcomes by gaining 0,7189 and high category. Thus, Collaborative Creativity based Student Worksheet (LKS) based on direct current circuits was include in the valid category and feasible category used as students worksheet in direct current material learning for class XII science.Keywords : Validity, Students Worksheet, Collaborative Creativit

    Sahabat IPA pocketbook is designed carefully to enable students to bring and learn the materials anytime and anywhere due to its practicality. The pocketbook is interesting not only its design but also the contents presented.  Besides, sahabat IPA pocketbook contains selected topics that are related to two fields of study  physics and biology. The theme presented in sahabat IPA pocketbook focuses on a specific theme; the auditory process which is related to the chapter of sense of hearing and sonar system. The theme is integrated with two fields of study including physics and biology covering vibration, wave, sound, and sense of hearing. The  purposes of  this  research  are: to produce a valid pocketbook, to describe the effectiveness of the pocketbook, to describe studentÒ€ℒs response towards the use of sahabat IPA pocketbook. The development design implemented in this research was 4-D development model. The researcher employed several techniques to collect data including interview, observation, test, and questionnaire. The results of the research show that the pocketbook is highly valid with 81% of expert validity and 88% of user validity. The results of the data analysis also show that sahabat IPA pocketbook is highly effective with the score of 82,58% achieved. Regarding the third purpose of the research, the students responded the pocketbook positively for every aspect presented on the questionnaire. In short, sahabat IPA pocketbook is a good and appropriate alternative to be used as a learning material to support fun learning

    KAJIAN KESTABILAN INTI UNSUR-UNSUR PADA PROSES PELURUHAN ZAT RADIOAKTIF DENGAN PENDEKATAN ENERGI IKAT INTI MODEL TETES CAIRAN

    Abstract The purpose of this research is to calculate the binding energy and disintegration energy with the binding energy liquid drop model approach. This research is modeling research. The steps: 1) prepare supporting materials for research on stability and elements in the radioactive process; 2) reviewing materials that have been obtained previously; 3) do calculation simulation; 4) analyze and discuss the results of calculations; 5) conclude the results of the study. The calculation results show that the element  has the largest binding energy of 1805,1 MeV and has the smallest binding energy per nucleon that is equal to 7,584 MeV, while the resulting child nuclide  has the smallest binding energy of 1612,2747 MeV and has the largest binding energy per nucleon of 7,8266 MeV, so that the binding energy has a decreased graph while the binding energy per nucleon has a rising graph. The biggest disintegration energy in the uranium series decay process occurs at decay of alpha  to be  which is equal to 5,1037 MeV while the smallest disintegration energy occurs at beta decay becomes   which is equal to -0,2639 MeV.     Abstract: This study aimed to analyze the learning activities of students inthe chemistry learning process by using the problem base learning (PBL)learning model. This research was an experimental study using ControlGroup Design on 12th grade science students at High School TegaldlimoBanyuwangi, East Java. As a control class was class 12 IPA-1 and as anexperimental class was class 12 IPA-2. Learning chemistry of redox andelectrochemical reaction materials in the experimental class used theproblem base learning model, while learning in the control class did not usethe problem base learning model. Aspects of critical thinking skills reviewedinclude 3 aspects: (1) Elementary clarification (giving basic explanations),which was about what known and what the core problem; (2) The basis forthe decision (determining the basis for decision making), namely the rightreasons as the basis before a step was taken; (3) Inference (drawingconclusions), namely drawing correct conclusions must be based on reasonsthat are reasonable or logical. Student learning activities during the studywere also observed to include: 1) involvement in discussion, 2) involvementin carrying out practicum, 3) discipline in learning, 4) responsibility. Theresults of the analysis using the t-Test statistical analysis with a 95%confidence level proved that the students' ability to provide explanations,decision making, and the ability to draw conclusions in the experimentalclass students were significantly higher than those in the control class.Keywords: Problem Based Learning Model, Critical Thinking Abilit

    LKS KONTEKSTUAL BERBASIS PROCESS ORIENTED GUIDED INQUIRY LEARNING (POGIL) MATERI GERAK MELINGKAR KELAS X

    Abstract   This research is development research. This study aims to examine expert validation, describe student learning outcomes, and describe the effectiveness of Contextual LKS Based Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) Class X Motion Material. The research subjects were 39 students of SMAN 1 Gambiran class X. Data on expert validation was obtained from five the validator is two lecturers of the University of Jember Physics Education Program, and three high school Physics study teachers in the development test. Data on learning outcomes are obtained from the results of post tests conducted after the learning is complete. The results showed that quantitative data validation logic from five validators for Contextual LKS Based on Process Oriented Guided Inquiry (POGIL) of 3.53 with a fairly valid category. This assessment is the average of the assessment of conformity components of 3.5; the effectiveness component is 3.875, and the feasibility component is 3.22. Cognitive domain assessment gets the lowest score among the other domains at 63. Classically the average student learning outcomes are 73.61 and are categorized as being moderate. The conclusions obtained from this study are 1) Validation results from 5 validators consisting of two physics education lecturers and 3 Public High School 1 Gambiran teachers Contextual LKS Based on Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) categorized as quite valid, 2) Student learning outcomes after using Contextual LKS Based on Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) in physics learning as a whole is 73.61 and categorized as moderate, and 3) Effectiveness based on learning outcomes can be seen in high criteria. These results can be used as a reference for validation of good literary audiences so that the Contextual LKS Based on Process Oriented Guided Inquiry (POGIL) can be said to be effective. This study can be used to identify factors that influence the level of mastery of concepts and student learning attitudes so that teachers can determine worksheets that suit the needs of students.   Keywords: conceptual, contextual, POGIL, LK
