    PENGEMBANGAN MODUL FISIKA GELOMBANG BUNYI BERBASIS REACT UNTUK KELAS XI IPA

      Abstract   The objectives of this study are: 1) developing sound wave physics module based on REACT for class XI IPA, 2) testing the validation of sound wave physics module based on REACT for class XI IPA, 3) testing the effectiveness of sound wave physics module based on REACT for class XI IPA. This study uses research and development procedures according to Nieven (2006) which includes 3 stages, namely: (1) Preliminary reseach (2) Prototyping stage, and (3) Assessment stage. The instruments used in this study were validation sheets and formative tests in the form of a description of the pre-test and post-test questions. Based on the results of the expert validation analysis, the category of very valid validity with reliability coefficient of 95.71% and the results of the user validation analysis obtained the category of validity is very valid with reliability coefficient of 92.86%. The results of the field test analysis obtained an average N-Gain score of 0.71 so that the module was declared effective to be used in learning on sound wave material for class XI IPA.     Abstrak Mata pelajaran fisika adalah Salah satu mata pelajaran di sekolah yang seringkali dianggap sulit oleh siswa. Hasil wawancara dengan guru mata pelajaran fisika di SMAN 3 Jember menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran yang digunakan masih menggunakan metode konvensional dimana guru berperan lebih aktif dibandingkan siswa. Melalui    modul berbasis problem    based learning, siswa tidak  hanya cenderung  menghafal  rumus,  tetapi  lebih ditekankan bagaimana memecahkan masalah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui validitas dan efektifitas modul berbasis problem based learning disertai concept mapping pada materi alat optik di SMA. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, validasi ahli diperoleh nilai sebesar 89% dan validasi pengguna diperoleh hasil 86%. Keduanya dalam kategori sangat valid. Efektifitas modul memperoleh skor N-Gain sebesar 0,53 atau berada dalam kategori sedang. Hal ini dapat dikatakan bahwa modul efektif dan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran fisika kelas XI SMA IPA.   Kata kunci : problem based learning, concept mapping, validitas, efektifita

    PENGEMBANGAN MODUL FISIKA BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL PERMAINAN TRADISIONAL KALIMANTAN TENGAH PADA MATERI MOMENTUM DAN IMPULS

    Abstract Based on interviews with one of the SMAN 1 Sampit physics teachers, teaching materials used are still less related to the surrounding environment, while the 2013 curriculum requires contextual learning so that learning is more meaningful. Central Kalimantan has a variety of local wisdom, one of which is traditional games. Basic knowledge of traditional Central Kalimantan traditional games, has never been associated with physics learning. Based on this problem, the development of a local wisdom-based module is needed. This development research using Nieveen's development model consists of three stages, namely preliminary research, prototyping stage, and assessment stage, the purpose of this study is to describe student learning outcomes after using local wisdom-based physics modules. Field trials were conducted in class X MIPA B SMAN 1 Sampit with a total of 33 students. Student learning outcomes consisted of pretest and posttest scores, the average pretest score was 23.64 and the posttest was 72.67, with an average difference of 49.03. Learning outcomes analyzed using N-gain got the medium criteria with a result of 0.65%. Physics Module based on traditional game of Central Kalimantan can improve student learning outcomes and is suitable for use in physics learning material momentum and impulses.     APLIKASI METODE PYTHAGORAS DALAM PENYELESAIAN SOAL-SOAL RELATIVITAS KHUSUS EINSTEIN TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS XII SMA NEGERI AMBULU

    Using the fast method is one of the categories of fast counting ability (Hardiono, 2016). One fast method is the Pythagoras method which can be used to solve special relativity questions (Korkmaz, 2016). This research an experimental research to study the student cognitive learning outcomes in solving Einstein's special relativity problems using the Pythagoras method. This research was conducted in Ambulu State High School with a population of students in class XII MIPA in semester II of the 2018/2019 academic year with samples of class XII MIPA 3 as the experimental class and class XII MIPA 1 as the control class. Each class consists of 36 students. Data obtained from documentation and learning outcomes tests in the form of written tests with 20 questions taken from national exam questions and college entrance exams. The results of the study using the Mann-Whitney test showed that the average value of the experimental class learning outcomes was higher than the control class. So this result reveals that the application of the Pythagoras method in solving Einstein special relativity questions has a significant effect on the student cognitive learning outcomes of class XII students of Ambulu High School.Key word: Einstein's special relativity, Pythagoras method, the student cognitive learning outcome

    Physics learning at this time, show that the students only memorize the formulas without understanded the actual physical meaning, besides that the learning so far seems monotonous and does not attract students' interest and desire to learn. Science learning that is expected now is creative and innovative science learning is science learning that provides experiences related to students' daily lives. The concept of dynamic fluid is a concept that exists in the real world of students, but the object in dynamic fluid material is difficult to present directly in the class, an example of the application of dynamic fluid in everyday life namely the river. Irrigation in the Jenggawah area of Jember Regency is a place to be identified. This research aimed to identify the physical quantities of fluid in the gutter irrigation river in the Jenggawah area of Jember as strengthening the understanding of students' physics concepts. This research included descriptive research. There were two different measurement points, besides the observation of the type of water flow in the irrigation, as well as the average discharge in the river flow of Jenggawah irrigation gutter for one year from the UPT of Jenggawah Regional Water Resources. The results of identification of fluid physical quantities include irrigation width, sterophome path length, sterophome travel time through trajectory, cross-sectional area, flow velocity, discharge, and flow type. Based on research conducted at the UPT of Jenggawah Regional Water Resources in Jember, the water flowed to the irrigation has a different average discharge rate.     Abstract: The knowledge has always starts with asking. For teachers, asking questions is seen as an activity to encourage, guide, and assess students' thinking abilities. For students, asking questions is an important part of exploring information, informing what is known, and directing what is not yet known. The aim of this research is to determine the quantity and quality of students' asking ability based on revised Bloom's taxonomy by applying the problem based learning model to the material temperature and heat. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative method. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Jember with research respondents being all students of class VII F of the odd semester of the 2019/2020 school year. Data collection using observation sheets to ask students. Based on the data obtained, it shown that the quantity of students who ask questions is 37.63%. The quality of questions in this research is 100% in the low level but there are no questions classified as high level. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the asking ability of students of class VII F in SMP Negeri 2 Jember are relatively low and need to be improved.     Keywords: question skills, problem-based learning, natural science

    ANALISIS PENGUASAAN KONSEP MAHASISWA PENDIDIKAN FISIKA FKIP UNIVERSITAS JEMBER TENTANG PEMANASAN GLOBAL

    Abstract   This research is a descriptive research. This study aims to identify the mastery of the concepts and attitudes of physics education students at Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Jember University on global warming. The research subjects were 63 students in semester VI physics education in Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Jember University 2018-2019 academic year. Data on mastery of concepts were collected through the provision of written tests of 10 multiple choice questions and 2 description questions, while data on attitudes were collected through questionnaires. The results showed that 1.7% of students mastered the concept of global warming very well, 22.2% of students mastered the concept of global warming well, 63.5% of students mastered the concept of global warming quite well, 3.2% of students mastered the concept of warming global is not good, and 9.5% of students master the concept of global warming is not very good. From the results of the study, it is also known that 36.5% of students have a very good attitude towards the phenomenon of global warming, 50.8% of students have a good attitude towards the phenomenon of global warming, 12.7% of students have sufficient attitudes towards the phenomenon of global warming, and there are no students who have a lack of attitude and are very unfavorable towards the phenomenon of global warming. The conclusions obtained from this study are 1) in general the mastery of the concept of physics education students at Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Jember University about global warming is quite good at percentage 69,05%, and 2) the attitude of students of physics education at Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Jember University to the phenomenon of global warming is good at percentage 83,62%. This reasearch can be used to identify the factors that influence the level of mastery of the concepts and attitudes of physics education students at Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Jember University.     Abstract Teaching materials are systematically arranged materials or materials that teachers and students use in teaching and learning activities.  The teaching material that will be developed by the researcher is comic, this is because students are more interested in teaching materials such as comics. The use of Smarthphone on learning is still not applied to students of MA Al-Misri Rambipuji, this allows researchers to develop physics-based comics teaching materials Android. The Android-based comics have the advantage of attracting students learning, easy to operate, efficient because they do not need paper to print, and are easily carried everywhere. The development of this Android-based physics comic is done on the temperature and heat material because this material is quite difficult to learn because it is abstract that can create different thoughts for the students. The aim of the study was to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the material of Android-based comic physics on learning. This type of research is development research using NIEVEEN development model which includes, 1), preliminary research, 2) prototyping stage, 3) assessment stage. User validation is done by physics teacher in MA Al-Misri Rambipuji with an average score of 3.64 with a very valid category. The implementation was done by observation by two observer who showed during two meetings had an average score of 3.62 < score ≤ 4.00 meaning that learning can be carried out very well. The average pretests and postest field test in class XI IPA 2 is 24.74 and 64.74 with N-Gain value of 0.54. The analysis of the pretests and Postest values shows moderate criteria which means that Android-based physics comic-teaching materials are included in effective products to improve student learning outcomes.     PENGARUH PAPARAN EXTREMELY LOW FREQUENCY MAGNETIC FIELD TERHADAP pH EDAMAME

    Extremely low frequency magnetic field (ELF) is a part of the electromagnetic spectrum with range of 0-300 Hz of frequency and non ionizing characteristics of radiation. Nowadays, ELF magnetic fields are widely used in various fields, for example in the fields of medicine, agriculture, and food. In the field of food, ELF magnetic fields can be used as a preservation of materials that are easily damaged (decayed), one of which is agricultural product. Edamame is a top commodity in Jember that tends to be unresistant to damage during storage, especially to decomposing if stored at room temperature. This study aims to determine the effect of ELF magnetic field exposure on the value of edamame pH on day 4, day 7, and day 10 after harvest. This study used 9 samples each for the control and experimental groups. The experimental group was given exposure to ELF magnetic fields with an intensity of 1000 µT for 60 minutes. The results showed that exposure to ELF magnetic fields affected the pH of edamame. The pH value in the control group was lower than the experimental group, as indicated by the  pH value of the control group during the measurement decreased to 5,93, while the edamame pH in the experimental group was still above 6 Key word: Edamame, ELF magnetic field, p
