    In the 2013 curriculum, there is a need for learning resources that fit the demands of the curriculum by considering the needs of students such as LKS. Physics learning sometimes lacks the ability to think or reason so that the learning outcomes of physics are still low. Therefore it is necessary for Student Worksheets (LKS) that can train scientific reasoning (Scientific Reasoning) to improve students' physics learning outcomes in Vocational High Schools. The research objectives were: (1) Assessing the learning outcomes of vocational physics students after using worksheets based on scientific reasoning on Direct Current Circuits, (2) Knowing how much students respond to Student Worksheets (LKS) based on scientific reasoning on Direct Current Circuits. This research used the Pretest Posttest Control Group Design research design, by giving the pretest and posttest questions in the control class and the experimental class. Based on the results of the research showed that after learning using Scientific Reasoning based worksheets on the experimental class experienced a significant increase from the initial average value of 28.8462 increasing to 84.1667Key Word : Learning Achievement , Scientific Reasoning, Student workshee

    Abstract   Local Wisdom-based module "Coffee Bean Processing" is a form of a fully packaged and systematic teaching material that contains the processing of coffee beans that are associated with temperature and heat material.This type of research is R&D (research and development) development research.The purpose of the study was to analyse the validity and effectiveness of the local wisdom-based module "coffee beans Processing".Module validation consists of a duat stage that is expert validation and user validation.The validation result of the local wisdom based module is 3.58 and the user validation result of 3.78 with the category is very valid.The effectiveness of modules is calculated from cognitive learning outcomes and student learning activities.If the review of the N-gain score, the effective value of the local wisdom-based "coffee beans processing" effectiveness rate is 0.70 and belongs to the high category.     PENGEMBANGAN VIDEO PEMBELAJARAN KONTEKSTUAL PADA MATERI ALAT-ALAT OPTIK (MATA, MIKROSKOP, DAN TELESKOP) DI SMA

    Abstract This study was conducted with the aim of describing the validity of contextual learning videos on the material of optical devices (eyes, microscopes, and telescopes) in high school and describing students' responses to the video using the response questionnaire. The method used in this research is research and development (Research and Development) by applying the Nieveen design to develop videos. Based on the results of the three stages of validation obtained an average validity for each aspect of the assessment of the validation of experts and users, namely, Relevance 87.5%, Accuracy of 93.75%, Contextual Learning 87.50%, and Linguistics 95%, so that a final validity of 90% is obtained with the category "It is very valid and can be used without improvement", meaning that the video developed is appropriate for use in learning. The results of the distribution of questionnaire responses of students of XII MIPA 1 and XII MIPA 3 in MAN Lumajang with aspects of the response consisting of Display, Student Learning Instructions, Learning Objectives, and Content with an average percentage of total responses was 89.52% which is included in the category of "Very Positive" and means students are interested in using video in learning.   Keywords: learning videos, contextual, validity, and student response

    Abstract: This research is conducted based the fact that student learning outcomes in science subjects have not yet reached the minimum completeness criteria. The reason of this condition is the learning process carried out by the teacher still uses conventional learning methods. Based on the fact, one of the efforts to improve student learning outcomes in natural science learning about the properties of solid and liquid objects is implementation an interactive demonstration method. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of learning by applying interactive demonstration methods in improving the learning outcomes of natural sciences about the properties of solid and liquid objects in class II B students at Kepatihan 03 Elementary School Kaliwates, Jember, academic year 2017/2018. The subjects of this study were class II B students, amounting to 29 children. Class II B student learning outcomes have increased from pre-cycle to second cycle. Classically in the pre-cycle of 58.62%, while in cycle one increased to 72.41%, and in cycle two increased to 86.21%. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the implementation of interactive demonstration methods in natural science subjects the topic of the properties of solid and liquid objects can improve student learning outcomes in grade II B SDN Kepatihan 03 Jember District Kaliwates Jember 2017/2018 school year

    Abstact: The research aimed to study the influence of guided inquiry learning with pictorial riddle for ability of verbal representation straigt motion matter for student in senior high school (SMA). The populated of this research was all student of class X in one of private senior high school in Pakusari. The eksperimental class taught using guided inquiry learning while the control class is taught employing a conventional learming model. Sampling is conducted adopting a cluster random sampling. The student pre-test and post-post test data ability of verbal representation was analyzed by independent sample t test on SPSS 23. The results of this research showed that guided inquiry learning with pictorial riddle for ability of verbal straigt motion matter for student in senior high school (SMA) is better than those learning with a conventional learning model.Keywords: guided inquiry, pictorial riddle, verbal representatio

    AbstractThis research aimed to produce scientific approach-based physics learning material in magnetic field topic, describe it’s validity, practicality, and effectiveness to improve students’ critical thinking skill. The development procedures of the research employed Nieveen’s research design which consisted of three stages, namely preliminary research, prototyping stage, and assessement stage. The instruments used in this research were validation sheet, observation sheet, and critical thinking test. Based on the results of the data analysis concluded: (1) the validity of scientific approach-based physics learning material was at very valid category with an average score of expert validation was 3.47 and average score of user validation was 3.67, (2) the practicality of scientific approach-based physics learning material was in very high category, (3) the effectiveness of scientific approach-based physics learning material to improve students’ critical thinking skill showed that the average of N-Gain score was 0.53 which was in the medium category, so the scientific approach-based physics learning material was effective in improving critical thinking skill.Key word: physics learning materials; scientific approach; magnetic field, critical thinking skil

    AbstractThe guided inquiry learning model accompanied by scaffolding prompting questioning is learning that directs the learning process in problem solving and makes students active in solving problems through instructions from scaffolding. The purpose of this research was to examine the effect of guided inquiry learning models accompanied by scaffolding prompting questioning of students' science process skills for straight-motion material in high school. This type of research an experimental research conducted at Senior High School Pakusari in the X grade students in the even semester 2018/2019 academic year. Data collection techniques used in the research were documentation and tests. Data analysis using the independent sample t-test test with the help of SPSS 23. The results of the research showed that there was significant differences between the science process skills of students in the experimental class and the control class. The conclusion of this research was guided inquiry learning model accompanied by scaffolding prompting questioning has a significant effect on students' science process skills in physics learning for straight-motion material in high school.Key word: guided inquiry, scaffolding prompting questioning, science process skills

    The problem solving laboratory model was a learning model that can train students in solving problems of physics concepts which is one component in training students' critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of Model Problem Solving Laboratory on students' critical thinking skills in Islamic Senior High School 2 Banyuwangi. This type of research was experimental research. Determination of the place of research using the purposive sampling area technique. The sample of this study was class X MIPA 1 and X MIPA 5. The design of this study used the Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Data collection techniques in this study were post-tests conducted at the end of the study. The Independent Sample T-Test test with the help of SPSS-23 was used as a method of analyzing critical thinking skills. The post-test average value of the critical thinking of the control class was 49.02, while the experimental class value was 65.25. Based on the results of data analysis of students' critical thinking skills using the independent sample t-test, concluded that there was an influence of the Learning Model Problem Solving Laboratory on Students' Critical Thinking Ability on physics at Islamic Senior High School 2 Banyuwangi..Key word: critical thinking skills, physics learning, problem solving laboratory

    Abstract   This development research aims to produce physics interactive learning materials in heat and thermo topic, insightful HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill) that can enhance the literacy science ability of students. The background of this research is the low literacy science ability of senior high school students/MA.  The research design used was Nieveen’s research design which consisted of three stages, namely preliminary research, prototyping stage, and assessement stage. The instruments used in this research were validation sheet and literacy science test. The results of expert validation retrieved that physics interactive learning materials insightful HOTS valid constructs and valid content. Based on development test results of the data analysis concluded: (1) the validity of physics interactive learning materials, insightful HOTS was at valid category with an average score of valid constructs was 4.17 and average score of valid content was 4, (2) the effectiveness of physics interactive learning materials in heat and thermo topic, insightful HOTS to improve students’ literacy science skill showed that the average of N-Gain score was 0.59 which was in the medium category, so the physics interactive learning materials in heat and thermo topic, insightful HOTS was effective in improving literacy science skill.   Key Words: development, interactive learning materials, HOTS (High Order Thinking Skill), literacy scienc
