BENTUK PEMATUHAN PRINSIP KESANTUNAN BERBAHASA DALAM TEKS NEGOSIASI KARANGAN PESERTA DIDIK KELAS X SMA
The negotiating text is a text that addresses the problem resolution by negotiation. In a negotiation, it is necessary to use polite language in its application to avoid misunderstandings which result in a person being depressed, proficient, and offended. Therefore, this study aims to describe the form of compliance with the politeness principle of language in negotiating texts written by students of class X at Ta'allumul Huda Bumiayu Islamic High School. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with data in the form of descriptions of words or sentences. This research was conducted at Ta'allumul Huda Bumiayu Islamic High School in class X students. The data in this study were in the form of words or sentences in the negotiating texts written by students. The source of data in this research is the negotiation text written by students. Data collection techniques using reading techniques. Data analysis techniques using content analysis techniques. The validity of the data in this study uses the theory triangulation technique. The results of this study found negotiating texts written by students containing politeness in language because researchers found more utterances or sentences that obeyed the politeness principle of language rather than speeches or sentences that violated the principle of politeness in language. KARAKTERISASI TOKOH DALAM NOVEL NEBULA KARYA TERE LIYE DAN IMPLIKASINYA TERHADAP PEMBELAJARAN SASTRA DI SMA
The problem in this research is how to characterize the characters in the novel Nebula by Tere Liye and its implications for learning literature in high school. The purpose of this study is to describe the characterization of the characters in Tere Liye's novel Nebula and its implications for learning literature in high school. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. Qualitative descriptive method is a problem solving procedure that is investigated by describing or describing the state of the subject or object of research (novels, plays, short stories, poems) at the present time based on visible facts.The results of this study show how the characterization of the characters in Tere Liye's novel Nebula and its implications for literary learning in high school can be used as a reference in learning Indonesian at school. The characterization contained in the novel Nebula is viewed from the direct method (telling) and indirect method (showing). It was found that there were 33 characters who had been identified and played a role in the novel. MENGUNGKAP ADANYA MARGINALISASI TERHADAP PERAN WANITA (ANALISIS WACANA KRITIS SARA MILLS DALAM MEDIA BERITA)
This research discusses the issue of sexual violence experienced by women in online media coverage. A responsible media is capable of presenting information in a balanced manner. Various news articles regarding sexual harassment that often affects women represent them as subjects within a discourse. Currently, the exploitation of women is carried out through more intellectual and visually appealing methods, including rich discourses in mass media. Women in the media context are often placed in visually prominent positions but frequently marginalized in terms of meaning. If this trend continues, it will further reinforce gender disparities between women and men, potentially leading to increased oppression against women. The problem addressed in this research is the discourse analysis using Sara Mills' theory. Sara Mills' discourse theory focuses on feminist discourse, including how women are represented in the news. The research method employed in this study is a literature review. The findings of the research conclude that there is a bias in the representation of women in news texts across different media outlets. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai isu kekerasan seksual yang dialami perempuan dalam pemberitaan media online. Media yang bertanggung jawab adalah media yang mampu menyajikan informasi secara berimbang. Berbagai artikel berita mengenai pelecehan seksual yang sering menimpa perempuan merepresentasikan mereka sebagai subjek dalam sebuah wacana. Saat ini, eksploitasi terhadap perempuan dilakukan melalui cara-cara yang lebih intelektual dan menarik secara visual, termasuk melalui wacana yang kaya di media massa. Perempuan dalam konteks media sering kali ditempatkan pada posisi yang menonjol secara visual, namun seringkali terpinggirkan dari segi makna. Jika tren ini terus berlanjut, hal ini akan semakin memperkuat kesenjangan gender antara perempuan dan laki-laki, yang berpotensi meningkatkan penindasan terhadap perempuan. Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis wacana dengan menggunakan teori Sara Mills. Teori wacana Sara Mills berfokus pada wacana feminis, termasuk bagaimana perempuan direpresentasikan dalam berita. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka. PENGARUH BAHASA IBU TERHADAP PENGUASAAN BAHASA INDONESIA PADA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR DI DOBO, KABUPATEN KEPULAUAN ARU
This study aimed to determine the effect of mother tongue use on the mastery of the Indonesian language in primary school children. The method used in this study was interviews and surveys with 10 primary school teachers and 20 parents, and observations on 50 randomly selected primary school students in Dobo. Data was collected through a survey questionnaire given to parents of students and direct observation of students as they interacted with their parents at home. The data was then analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and simple linear regression. The results showed that the use of the mother tongue has a significant effect on the mastery of the Indonesian language in primary school children. Children who frequently speak in their mother tongue tend to have lower mastery of the Indonesian language compared to children who rarely or never speak in their mother tongue. This study has implications for the development of language education curriculum in primary schools and also for parents in choosing the language used when interacting with their children at home. SASTRA ANAK DAN PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN DALAM BUKU CERITA BERGAMBAR KAMU ADALAH PAHLAWANKU
The existence of literary works is needed in the growth and development of children. Not only offers pleasure and presents life values, children’s literature also can be used as a medium for children’s character education, including for teaching health education. This study aims to describe the role of children’s literature in teaching health education and describe the value of health education in story book called Kamu Adalah Pahlawanku. The children’s book is published by Inter Agency Standing Committee as children’s guide for Covid-19 prevention. The result of the study shows that health education’s values are shown through the elements contained in story books such as characters, plot, settings, and theme of the book.Keberadaan karya sastra sangat diperlukan dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Tidak hanya menawarkan kesenangan dan menyajikan nilai-nilai kehidupan, sastra anak juga dapat dijadikan sebagai media pendidikan karakter anak, termasuk untuk pengajaran pendidikan kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peran sastra anak dalam pengajaran pendidikan kesehatan dan mendeskripsikan nilai pendidikan kesehatan dalam buku cerita Kamu Adalah Pahlawanku. Buku anak-anak ini diterbitkan oleh Komite Tetap Antar Badan sebagai panduan anak-anak dalam pencegahan Covid-19. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai pendidikan kesehatan ditunjukkan melalui unsur-unsur yang terdapat dalam buku cerita seperti tokoh, alur, latar, dan tema buku.Keywords: children’s literature, health education, story boo
ANALISIS FAKTOR KESULITAN MEMBACA PESERTA DIDIK DI KELAS RENDAH
The issue in this research is that students cannot read, which makes it difficult for teachers to facilitate learning. This study thus intends to investigate and describe the reading-difficulty factors affecting SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur students in lower grades. This research employed a qualitative approach. While students, teachers, and parents of students provided the study's data sources, the study's participants were SD Negeri 8 Metro Timur students in lower grades. In this study, observation, interviews, and documentation were used to collect data. The results of this study indicate that there was difficulty remembering letters, did not know consonant letters, did not know diffron letters, and did not know digraph letters. The factors of reading difficulty were internal, external, environmental, and psychological. The solution given by educators in class is that they took the time to guide students in class by calling students with difficulty reading. Educators used media such as reading books to train students. STUDENTS’ PERCEPTION OF COMMUNICATIVE LANGUAGE TEACHING (CLT) APPROACH
Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa tentang pendekatan komunikatif. Angket penelitian persepsi siswa terhadap pendekatan komunikatif dibagikan kepada 65 siswa kelas XI SMA Unklab Airmadidi. Data kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode persentase dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap pendekatan komunikatif adalah tinggi, suasana kelas yang ramah dan siswa memiliki hubungan yang baik dengan guru mereka. Penelitian ini menyajikan rekomendasi sesuai dengan temuan penelitian bagi para guru dan siswa. Pertama-tama, guru harus mahir dalam teori belajar-mengajar, meningkatkan pengetahuan pribadinya, dan menguasai cara dan sarana dalam mengajar. Guru perlu mengetahui keterampilan siswa untuk mendorong minat siswa dalam belajar. Rekomendasi penelitian ini dapat membantu siswa untuk mengenal minat mereka guna meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara mereka. Kemudian, peneliti menyarankan bagi peneliti selanjutnya untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut bagaimana keterampilan berbicara dapat dikembangkan dengan menggunakan pendekatan komunikatif. REPRESENTATION AND RESISTANCE AGAINST THE PATRIARCHAL SYSTEM IN THE DIGITAL LITERATURE ERA: THE FILM BIG EYES
The patriarchal system is one of the problems in gender studies that is still described in the era of digital literature. Digital literature has a dynamic characteristic, which makes film categorized as a literary work by focusing on the story narrative. One of the films that contains the issue of patriarchy is Tim Burton's Big Eyes. This study aims to describe the patriarchal structure in digital literature using a qualitative descriptive method and Silvia Walby's feminist approach. The results of the research show that the six structures of the patriarchal system are related to each other but are centered on one main structure, Culture. As a digital literary work, the film Big Eyes also represents the resistance of the main female character, which can illustrate how the feminist movement is and how women should be able to fight against all forms of oppression caused by the patriarchal system. Sistem patriarki menjadi salah satu permasalahan dalam kajian gender yang masih tergambar di era sastra digital. Sastra digital mempunyai sifat dinamis yang menjadikan film dikategorikan sebagai karya sastra dengan menitik beratkan pada narasi cerita. Salah satu film yang memuat isu patriarki adalah Big Eyes karya Tim Burton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan struktur patriarki dalam sastra digital dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan pendekatan feminis Silvia Walby. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keenam struktur sistem patriarki saling berkaitan satu sama lain namun berpusat pada satu struktur utama yaitu Kebudayaan (Culture). Sebagai sebuah karya sastra digital, film Big Eyes juga merepresentasikan perlawanan dari tokoh utama perempuan, yang dapat menggambarkan bagaimana gerakan feminisme dan bagaimana perempuan harus mampu melawan segala bentuk penindasan yang diakibatkan oleh sistem patriarki.
RESEPSI MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI BAHASA DAN SASTRA INDONESIA TERHADAP EKRANISASI NOVEL DANUR KE FILM DANUR
This research is a mixed method which aims to describe (1) the reception of students of Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program on the ecranizationshrinking process of Danur novel to Danur film, (2) the reception of students of Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program to the ecranizationadditional process of Danur novel to Danur film, and (3) the reception of students of Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program on the ecranization variation changing process of Danur novel to Danur film. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire technique. The results of the study reveal that (1) the reception of students of Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program of the ecranizationshrinking process of Danur novel to Danur film became more interesting because the conflict raised was more focused on the main character, (2) the reception of students of Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program on the ecranizationadditional process of Danur novel to Danur film, the impression of horror in the film was more pronounced than in the novel, and some of the characters added in the Danur film were able to play their roles well, and (3) the reception of students of Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program on the ecranization variation changing process of Danur novel to Danur film changes which done quite well and still relevant to the contents of the novel. Meanwhile, some students stated that Danur film would be more interesting if the original appearance of the ghosts in the novel was visualized in a film, the changes made were fairly good and still relevant to the contents of the novel.Keywords: Ecranization, Reception, FilmDOI Artikel: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/Kata/v11i1.2023.0
NILAI BUDAYA DALAM KUMPULAN CERITA RAKYAT SUMATERA SELATAN DAN IMPLIKASINYA DALAMPEMBELAJARAN SASTRA DI SMA
The purpose of this study is to describe the cultural values contained in a collection of folklore from South Sumatra and their implications for learning literature in high school. This study uses a qualitative approach.data of this research are in the form of quotations or conversations obtained from the book Collection of South Sumatra Folklore. The results of the study indicate that there are cultural values contained in the folklore of South Sumatra including: (1) the cultural values of human relations with God, (2) the cultural value of human relations with nature, (3) the cultural values of human relations with humans, and (4) the cultural values of human relations with oneself. The research is implicated in learning Indonesian literature in high school in the form of a Learning Implementation Plan in the 2013 Curriculum. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan nilai budaya yang terdapat dalam kumpulan cerita rakyat Sumatera Selatan dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran sastra di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data penelitian ini berupa kutipan atau percakapan yang diperoleh dari buku Kumpulan Cerita Rakyat Sumatera Selatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya nilai budaya yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Sumatera Selatan meliputi: (1) nilai budaya hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan, (2) nilai budaya hubungan manusia dengan alam, (3) nilai budaya hubungan manusia dengan manusia, dan (4) nilai budaya hubungan manusia dengan diri sendiri. Penelitian diimplikasikan ke dalam pembelajaran sastra Indonesia di SMA dalam bentuk Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran pada Kurikulum 2013.
