Symbolic Capital of Power and Character Education Values in the Novel “Pasung Jiwa” by Okky Madasari
This study examines the symbolic capital of power and the value of character education in the novel Pasung Jiwa by Okky Madasari. The source of data in this study is the novel Pasung Jiwa by Okky Madasari, while the data are in the form of phrases, words, or sentences that contain forms of symbolic capital of power and the value of character education. Data collection techniques used in the form of reading, library, and note-taking techniques, while data analysis techniques in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The findings obtained from this study consist of (1) forms of symbolic capital of power which are symbolized by position, image, social status, and authoritarian parenting to perpetuate their power; and (2) character education values, namely religious character values, honest character values, and hard work character values.
 
Analysis of Expressive Speech Acts on the 2017 IPSE YouTube Channel about Panel Discussion of Language Education Course Papers Indonesia IPSE students 2017
Speech acts are illocutionary acts that function to express an assessment of the circumstances specified in the illocutionary, for example saying thank you, expressing condolences, and so on. The research objectives to be achieved in this study are: (1) to reveal the types of expressive speech acts contained in the YouTube channel IPSE (International Program on Science Education) 2017 regarding Panel Discussion of Language Education Course Papers, (2) to Identify forms of speech acts in learn Language Education Course Paper Panel. This research is a descriptive study that in the end tries to describe the speech spoken by the object, which is in accordance with the actual picture. In this study, the method used is the referential method. The listening method was used in this study because the data or object used is in the form of spoken language. there are 59 expressive speeches in 7 videos on the YouTube channel IPSE (International Program on Science Education) 2017 regarding the Panel Discussion of Language Education Course Papers. Among them are asking for 7 as many utterances, apologizing as much as 38 38, and criticizing as many as 14 utterances. This research is expected to provide benefits to readers or the public in the form of increasing understanding of expressive speech acts
The Effect of Malay Animation Series on Children’s Language Use in Sukamanah Village, Sukabumi Regency
This research aims to describe the effect of Malay animated series on the use of children's language. The data in this study contains the form of children's language use that is influenced by the spectacle of Malay animated series, such as Upin-Ipin, Boboiboy, and other Malay animations. So the effect of watching the Malay animated series caused interference in the use of children's language, namely Malay the Indonesian. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The type of research used is a case study. The data collection technique uses observation techniques, which are to review related children who often watch Malay animated series. Then using the documentation technique related to recording the speech carried out, recording the form of use of Malay into the Indonesian spoken by the child. Data analysis techniques use data reduction techniques, data presentation, and concluding. The source of this research data is children in Sukamanah Village, Sukabumi Regency. The results of this study show the form of language interference in the field of linguistics, namely phonology, morphology, and syntax.
Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efek serial animasi Melayu terhadap penggunaan bahasa anak. Data dalam penelitian ini memuat tentang bentuk penggunaan bahasa anak yang dipengaruhi dari tontonan serial animasi Melayu, seperti Upin-Ipin, Boboiboy, dan animasi Melayu lainnya. Sehingga efek dari menonton serial animasi Melayu tersebut mengakibatkan interferensi pada penggunaan bahasa anak, yakni bahasa Melayu ke dalam bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, yaitu untuk meninjau berkaitan dengan anak-anak yang sering menonton serial animasi Melayu. lalu menggunakan teknik dokumentansi berkaitan dengan merekam tuturan yang dilakukan, mencatat bentuk penggunaan bahasa Melayu ke dalam bahasa Indonesia yang dituturkan anak. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah anak-anak di Desa Sukamanah Kabupaten Sukabumi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bentuk interferensi bahasa pada bidang linguistik, syakni fonologi, morfologi, dan sintaksis
Syllabus Development of Language Editing Courses Indonesia Based on Information and Communication Technology Integrated XXI Century
The background of this research is about a pandemic that has changed learning patterns from face-to-face to face-to-face. This causes the syllabus that existed before the pandemic to adapt to current conditions. In addition, this syllabus applies a project-based learning model and case studies. The purpose of this research is to explain and develop the syllabus of the Indonesian Language Editing course based on integrated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the XXI century. This research uses research and development. The stages in this research, namely: first, explain the process of developing the syllabus for the integrated ICT-based Indonesian language editing course in the XXI century. Second, developing a syllabus for the XXI century integrated ICT-based Indonesian Language Editing course. Data collection techniques were obtained through tests and non-tests in the form of observations, questionnaires, and documentation and then processed using content analysis techniques. Based on this, the development of an integrated ICT-based syllabus in the XXI century was applied to level IV students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program to obtain effective learning outcomes in the Indonesian Language Editing course
Education of the Character of the Main Characters in the Novel Merasa Pintar, Bodoh Saja Tak Punya by Rusdi Mathari (Analysis of Literature Psychology)
This research aims to describe how the character in the main character and also the structure of his personality, especially about character education in the novel by Rusdi Mathari entitled "Feeling Smart, Stupid Only Tak Have" which was analyzed using the literary psychology approach of Sigmund Freud (Id, Ego, Superego), character education itself is the basis for starting a stage of individual learning. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method using a critical discourse analysis approach, which is an approach that leads that knowledge is obtained from social interaction. The data source used is one of the novels by Rusdi Mathari, the data used are the words and sentences used by the author to describe the main character taken in terms of character education. The main character in this novel is an old village resident who is considered by the residents as an insane parent, namely Cak Dlahom, but the assessment of the surrounding residents is different from what the author describes in his writing.
Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan karakter tokoh utama dan struktur kepribadiannya, khususnya dalam hubungan dengan pendidikan karakter dalam novel karya Rusdi Mathari yang berjudul “Merasa Pintar, Bodoh Saja Tak Punya” yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan psikologi sastra Sigmund Freud (Id, Ego, Superego), pendidikan karakter merupakan landasan untuk memulai suatu tahap belajar individu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan pendekatan analisis wacana kritis, yaitu merupakan pendekatan yang mengarah bahwa pengetahuan didapatkan dari interaksi sosial. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah salah satu novel karya Rusdi Mathari, data yang digunakan merupakan kata-kata dan kalimat yang digunakan penulis untuk mendeskripsikan tokoh utama yang diambil dari segi pendidikan karakternya. Tokoh utama dalam novel ini merupakan seorang penduduk kampung tua yang dianggap warga sebagai orangtua kurang waras yaitu Cak Dlahom, akan tetapi penilaian warga sekitarnya berbeda dengan apa yang penulis gambarkan dalam tulisannya
Interogational Sentences in the Novel “33 Senja di Halmahera” by Andaru Intan
This study examines interrogative sentences in the novel 33 Senja di Halmahera. The aims of this research are (1) to describe the types of interrogative sentences and (2) to describe the function of interrogative sentences in 33 Senja di Halmahera novel. Data collection methods and techniques in this study used the listening method with tapping techniques, follow-up techniques Listen, Free, Involved, Cakap (SBLC) and advanced note-taking techniques. The methods and techniques of data analysis in this study used the agih method with the basic technique for Direct Elements (BUL) and with advanced techniques of transformation techniques. The results of this study are (1) There are 5 types of interrogative sentences, namely: (a) Interrogative sentences that ask for a yes or no answer, are formed in three ways, namely giving question into the sentence symbolized by a question mark (?) as many as 64 data, giving a question word whether in front of a sentence as much as 1 data, and giving a question particle in the part of the sentence being asked as much as 23 data. b. Interrogative sentences that ask for answers regarding one element of the sentence are formed with the help of question words (what, who, where, how many, and when) as many as 32 data. c. Interrogative sentences that ask for answers in the form of reasons are 13 data. d. Interrogative sentences that ask for answers in the form of opinions are 24 data. e. Interrogative sentences that contain 8 data, (2) Functions of interrogative sentences are found as many as 8 functions. These functions consist of: a. What question words are 17 data, b. The question word who has 4 data, c. Question words why as many as 7 data, d. Question words why as many as 6 data, e. question words how as many as 23 data, f. which question words are 5 data, g. question words when, when, and when. as much as 5 data, h. the question word how much is 3 data
The Hierarchy of Character Needs in The Novel "Kenduri Arwah" by A.R. Rizal (A Study of Humanistic Psychology)
This study aims to describe the hierarchy of character needs in the novel Kenduri Arwah by A.R Rizal. The research method used in this study is the method of content analysis (analysis). The research data are words, sentences and dialogues contained in the novel Kenduri Arwah by A.R Rizal in descriptive form. The data source is the novel Kenduri Arwah by A.R Rizal. The data collection techniques used in this research are (a) reading the novel Kenduri Arwah (b) marking and taking notes, because the data is in the form of text or quotations (c) taking inventory of the data (d) classifying using the data inventory format. This research uses Abraham Maslow's theory of human psychology. The results showed that there was a hierarchy of needs from the main character. Starting from the physiological needs, the need for security, the need for belonging and love, the need for esteem, the need for self-actualization
Critical Discourse Analysis of Teun A. Van Dijk Model on Marshel's Widianto's Roasting in The Show of Mata Najwa Muda Berkuasa: Apa Jadinya Jika Anak Muda Berkuasa Episode
This study discusses Marshel Widianto's roasting video broadcast on Najwa Shihab's Youtube media with the title "Young Power: What Happens If Young People Have Power". The purpose of this study is to analyze the elements of discourse using the Teun A. Van Dijk model on Marshel Widianto's roasting show that aired on Najwa Shihab's Youtube media with the title "Young Power: What Happens If Young People Have Power". The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data analysis technique used by the researcher is using content analysis. The technique used in data collection is the note-taking technique. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there are four different elements. Among them are semantic elements (background, details, intent) which discuss in detail the meaning to be conveyed in a discourse. Furthermore, the syntactic elements (sentence forms, pronouns, stylistics, and rhetorical) these four elements are used to analyze the form or sentence structure used by Marshel Widianto and the researchers found an emphasis made by using the inclusion of pictures, word order in the title, letter thickening. , the use of capital letters, colons and so on on the cover (clickbait) of videos that air on Najwa Shihab's youtube channel. The results of the analysis that have been carried out by researchers are of course different from other videos that appear on YouTube, this is due to ideological differences, the message to be conveyed in the discourse, packaging in a video and so on
Analysis of Negotiation Text Writing Ability in Class X Students of SMA Nurul Iman Tanjung Morawa in the 2020/2021 Academic Year
This study aims to describe the ability to write negotiating texts for tenth grade students of SMA Nurul Iman Tanjung Morawa. The population of this study was all students of class X SMA Nurul Iman Tanjung Morawa in the 2020/2021 academic year. The population of this study was all students of class X SMA Nurul Iman Tanjung Morawa in the 2020/2021 academic year which consisted of 10 classes with a total of 132 students. For this study, the sample taken was class X MIA-1, totaling 29 students through random sampling technique. This research uses descriptive analysis method. The data collection technique in this research is documentation. The research instrument used was a negotiating text writing test. The results showed that the ability of class X students of SMA Nurul Iman Tanjung Morawa in writing negotiating texts based on the structural aspect got an average score (93) in the very good category and the linguistic feature aspect got an average score (78.15) in the good category. . Based on the distribution table of the percentage value of the ability to write negotiating texts for class X students of SMA Nurul Iman Tanjung Morawa in; (1) the structural aspect shows the very good category (79.31%), good category (20.69%), quite good category (0%), and poor category (0%). (2) the aspect of linguistic characteristics shows in the very good category (31.04%), good category (51.72%), quite good category (17.24%), and poor category (0%). (3) the aspect of structure and linguistic characteristics shows in the very good category (34.48%), good category (58.62%), quite good category (6.89%), and poor category (0%). Indonesian language teachers can determine students' writing abilities, especially in writing negotiating texts based on structural aspects and aspects of linguistic characteristics. After knowing the students' abilities, the teacher can further improve the effectiveness of learning to write negotiating texts
Application of The 2T 2T Method Based on Hots Literature in Learning to Write Imagination Story Text for Class VII SMPN 43 Jakarta
This study aims to describe the process and learning outcomes of the application of the two-stay- two-guest method based on HOTS literacy in the learning of imaginative story writing skills for seventh grade students of SMPN 43 Jakarta. This research was conducted in class VII SMPN 43 Jakarta with a sample of 61 people. The research method used is descriptive analysis adapted to the problem to be revealed. Based on the results of data analysis regarding the application of the 2T 2T method based on HOTS literacy in learning the ability to write imaginative story texts for class VII SMPN 43 Jakarta, it was declared successful. This can be seen from the comparison of student learning outcomes before and after being treated. The average value of the ability to write imagination text at the pretest was 55.94 and 79.76 at the posttest. From these data, it can be seen that the ability to write imaginary texts on the pretest is still lacking because it does not reach the KKM, while the ability to write imaginary texts on the posttest is categorized as good because it has reached the KKM. The success of learning the ability to write imaginative texts is strongly influenced by the 2T 2T method based on HOTS literacy
