    Directive Speech Acts in Indonesian Language Learning in Surakarta Citizens' High Schools

    The directive speech act in learning is speech act concerned on the conversation context. Conversation context aimed includes with whom, to whom, what, and how the speech delivered, therefore it mush be concerned by teacher and student in learning process. This research is conducted to describe directive speech act and between teacher with student and student with student in Indonesian learning at Surakarta Citizens' High Schools. The purpose of this research is to know the directive speech act in Indonesian learning process. The method conducted of this research is qualitative descriptive. The object of this research includes speech between teacher with student and student with student involved in Indonesian learning process. The data collecting technique of this research is conducted by: observation, recording, and note. The data analysis of this research is describing the recording value, data reduction, data interpretation, and summarising. Based on research value at Surakarta Citizens' High Schools, shows that directive speech act conducted by the teacher with student more dominant is done by teacher. It happens because the teacher as good figure of speaking and polite in speech.   Keywords: directive speech act, Indonesian  learning   Abstrak Tindak tutur direktif dalam pembelajaran merupakan tindak berbahasa yang memperhatikan konteks pembicaraan. Konteks pembicaraan yang dimaksud berkaitan dengan siapa, kepada siapa, apa, dan bagaimana tuturan itu disampaikan oleh karena itu, menjadi perhatian untuk guru dan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendeskripsikan tindak tutur direktif antara guru dengan siswa dan siswa dengan siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMA Warga Surakarta. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tindak tutur direktif dalam proses pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dekriptif kualitatif. Objek dalam penelitian ini mencakup tuturan antara guru dengan siswa dan siswa dengan siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa yang terlibat dalam proses pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara: pengamatan, perekaman, pencatatan. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan hasil rekaman, reduksi data, interpretasi data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di SMA Warga Surakarta menunjukan bahwa, penggunaan tindak tutur direktif yang dilakukan oleh guru dan siswa lebih dominan adalah guru. Hal ini terjadi karena guru sebagai contoh yang baik dalam bertutur dan santun dalam berbahasa.   Kata kunci: tindak tutur direktif, pembelajaran bahasa Indonesi

    Application of Character Education Values in Early Childhood Through Online Fables

    The purpose of this study is to describe the types of characters contained in online fables with children's literary approaches and character education. Research methods, namely descriptive qualitative with content analysis techniques. Data analysis was performed using content analysis and descriptive techniques. Data collection is based on literature. The data source, which is 5 fables with the character education theme, is downloaded online via the web https://dongengceritarakyat.com/. The types of characters found are described in detail according to the quotations found in the fable. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, concluding, and verification of research results. The results of the study found seven-character values ​​as follows: (1) fable Crocodile and Singer Bird found polite and friendly characters; (2) Arrogant fable leaves are found to be humble and environmentally conscious characters; (3) the Young Mouse fable is found to be a character of curiosity; (4) fable Herders and Wild Goats found fair characters; and (5) the fable of contention of bees and wasps found wise character.   Abstrak   Iswan Afandi & Juanda; Application of Character Education ... Metode penelitian, yaitu kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik analisis isi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis isi dan teknik deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan berdasarkan kepustakaan. Sumber data, yaitu5fabelbertema pendidikan karakterdi unduh secara online melalui web https://dongengceritarakyat.com/. Jenis karakter yang ditemukan dideskripsikan secara terperinci sesuai dengan kutipan yang ditemukan dalam fabel. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapanreduksi data, penyajian data, pengambilan simpulan, dan verifikasi hasil penelitian.     Sociolingustics Approach: Impoliteness Strategy in Instagram Cyberbullying in @Lambe_Turah’s post of KPAI’s Case

    Social media is used by most Indonesian people, it brings good and bad influence. One of the bad influences is cyberbullying. Cyberbullying that is found in Instagram is different from other social media. Instagram has become the source of hate campaign by the occurrence of gossip account. @Lambe_turah is one of the biggest gossip accounts in Indonesia. The posts in @Lambe_turah have triggered its followers to perform cyberbullying to the person in their post, in this research is about KPAI. The aim of this study is to investigate the comments which contain cyberbullying by using impoliteness strategy proposed by Culpeper (2005). This study uses qualitative approach. It is shown by the data collection method which is done by examining documents. The analysis of this study is done by interpreting the collected data. The result shows that negative impoliteness is the most common impoliteness strategy to be used in cyberbullying. The second impoliteness strategy that is used in cyberbullying is bald on record. From both of these strategies, it can be concluded that cyberbullying tend to attack the addressee directly by using various types of statements.   Abstrak Media sosial digunakan oleh hampir seluruh masyarakat Indonesia, ini bisa membawa pengaruh baik dan buruk bagi penggunanya. Salah satu pengaruh buruknya adalah cyberbullying perundungan secara online). Cyberbullying yang ditemukan di Instagram berbeda dengan media sosial yang lain. Instagram menjadi sumber dari kampanye kebencian yang berasal dari akun gosip. @Lambe_turah adalah salah satu akun gosip terbesar di Indonesia. Unggahan di akun @Lambe_turah telah memicu para pengikutnya atau yang disebut followers untuk melakukan cyberbullying kepada orang yang ada pada unggahan terkait, dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan KPAI. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ada untuk menginvestigasi komen-komen yang mengandung cyberbullying dengan menggunakan strategi ketidaksopana yang digagas oleh Culpeper (2005). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, ini terlihat dari metode pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan meneliti dokumen. Analisis dari penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menginterpretasi data-data yang sudah didapat. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tipe ketidaksopanan negatif adalah strategi ketidaksopanan yang paling sering digunakan pada cyberbullying, dan yang kedua adalah secara langsung. Dari teratas kedua yang digunakan dalam cyberbullying, bisa disimpulkan bahwa pelaku penindasan di media sosial lebih banyak melakukan penyerangan langsung dengan menggunakan berbagai macam tipe umpatan.   Kata kunci: cyberbullying, sosiolinguistik, strategi ketidaksopana

    Ecocritism in Sepotong Senja untuk Pacarku by Seno Gumira Ajidarma

    Nature was created with a specific purpose by God, as the best creatures created by God it is fitting to preserve nature to run according to the purpose it was created. Never damage an existing order. This in literature can be studied in ecology. In an ecological literature, it is used as a message that the writer wishes to convey to his readers to maintain his environment. The research with literary ecology was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method with a pragmatic approach. The source of the data used is the collection of short stories Sepotong Senja untuk Pacarku by Seno Gumiro Ajidarma with data containing ecocritical meaning. The technique he uses himself is literature study by reading hermeneutics or learning about interpretations of meaning. The research instrument used is the data kit. The results of this study are found data or messages of the author to invite to protect the environment found from several short stories. Abstrak   Alam diciptakan deng maksud tertentu oleh Tuhan, sebagai makhluk terbaik yang diciptakan oleh Tuhan sudah sepatutnya menjaga alam agar berjalan sesuai tujuan diciptakannya. Jangan pernah merusak tatanan yang sudah ada. Hal tersebut dalam sastra dapat dipelajari dalam ekologi. Dalam sebuah karya sastra ekologi dijadikan sebagai suatu pesan yang ingin disampaikan penulis kepada pembacanya untuk tetap menjaga lingkunngannya. Penelitian dengan ekologi sastra tersebut dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan pragmatik. Sumber data yang digunakan yaitu kumpulan cerpen Sepotong Senja untuk Pacarku karya Seno Gumiro Ajidarma dengan data yang mengandung makna ekokritisme. Teknik yang digunakannya sendiri yaitu studi pustaka dengan cara membaca secara hermeneutika atau mempelajari tentang interpretasi makna. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu katu data.     Academic Writing Using Critical Thinking Approach of Student PBSI FBS Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta

    The main problem in this article is the low awareness of students' critical thinking when writing various academic activities. One of the reasons for this condition is that learning to write academic forms has not used the right approach or model. The purpose of writing this article is to describe the application of Critical Thinking in student academic writing. This research was written using literature study and direct observation of the academic writing lecture process, namely writing scientific papers. The results of the observation show that in a class that does not use the Critical Thinking approach, it shows that during the academic writing lecture process, students have not developed the concept of critical thinking properly so that their written work has not produced critical and innovative products. However, in classes that apply the Critical Thinking Approach, lectures have been running effectively and the students' written work is in accordance with the assessment criteria. This increase and effectiveness is because students carry out the stages of analysis, evaluation, reconstruction, and creativity during writing lectures

    The Influence of Carrie TV Channel Shows on Language Acquisition in Early Childhood

    The role of technology media as a stimulant in the industrial era 4.0 has developed rapidly and varied to affect various aspects of life in all circles, including early childhood. One affected aspect of life is language. The influence on the linguistic aspect is felt by children, especially at an early age. This study aims to determine how the influence of digital media broadcasts on Carrie TV’s YouTube channel on language development and acquisition in early childhood. This research utilized the observation method by observing language attitudes in early childhood and recording speech in communication activities. The observation technique was carried out by recording the distribution of words uttered by early childhood. Moreover, a comparison of the spoken vocabulary was made between the children who watched the Carrie TV channel and those who did not watch it. The word distribution recorded was adjusted to the children’s vocabulary skills in general based on their language development stage. The results revealed that childhood who watched the Carrie TV channel possessed more vocabulary than those who did not watch it. The children’s vocabulary could be categorized into basic words, conjunctions, affix words, and word combinations

    This study examines the process of making an acronym in the Waspada daily newspaper Medan published on 1, 4 and 6 April 2019. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of forming an acronym in the Waspada Medan daily newspaper published on 1, 4 and 6 April 2019. This research method is a descriptive qualitative method. The research data is sourced from the Waspada Medan daily newspaper on 1, 4, and 6 April 2019. Techniques for collecting data with techniques refer to and are accepted. The results of this study describe the five patterns of the formation of acronyms, namely: (1) Tribal sequencing with tribes, (2) sequencing of tribes with tribes and letters, (3) sequencing of words with tribes and letter, (4) impingement of words with terms and letters, and (5) initial letter. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data penelitian ini bersumber dari surat kabar harian Waspada Medan tanggal 1, 4, dan 6 April 2019. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan teknik membaca dan mencatat.     The Use of the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model as an Effort to Improve the Writing Skills of Knowledge Book Review for Class IX A Students of SMP Negeri 1 Padamara Odd Semester Academic Year 2018/2019

    This study aims to describe the skills of writing a book review of knowledge based on the completeness and accuracy of the review element, the language used, the use of spelling, and punctuation. for IXA grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Padamara odd semester 2018/2019 using the jigsaw type cooperative learning model .. The approach used in this study is a qualitative research approach with a class action research design. This research was designed through classroom action research conducted in the form of an action cycle. This research was conducted in September 2018 until December 2018 in Class IXA of SMP Negeri 1 Padamara. Research data obtained from interactions between teacher and student, student and student and student teacher during the learning process. Data collection activities carried out by the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was performed with flow analysis which included (1) data reduction (2) data presentation, (3) drawing conclusions / verification, (4) data reflection, and (5) reflection of research findings. Research results both in terms of process and results. Writing learning can be concluded that the type of jigsaw cooperative learning model can improve the writing skills of knowledge book review in learning writing in class IXA SMP Negeri 1 Padamara odd semester of the 2018/2019 academic year.   Keyword: Review writing skills, jigsaw type     Abstrak   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan menulis resensi buku pengetahuan berdasarkan kelengkapan dan ketepatan unsur resensi, bahasa yang digunakan, penggunaan ejaan, dan tanda baca. bagi siswa kelas IXA SMP Negeri 1 Padamara semester gasal tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini dirancang melalui penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam bentuk siklus tindakan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada September 2018 sampai dengan Desember 2018 di Kelas IXA SMP Negeri 1 Padamara. Data penelitian diperoleh dari interaksi antara guru dan siswa, siswa dengan siswa dan siswa guru selama pembelajaran berlangsung. Kegiatan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode pengamatan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis mengalir yang mencakup (1) reduksi data (2) sajian data, (3) penarikan simpulan/ verifikasi, (4) refleksi data, dan (5) refleksi temuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian baik dari segi proses maupun hasil. Pembelajaran menulis tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis resensi buku pengetahuan dalam pembelajaran menulis di kelas IXA SMP Negeri 1 Padamara semester gasal tahun pelajaran 2018/2019.   Kata Kunci: Keterampilan menulis resensi, tipe jigsa

    Choose Your Clue Cards Learning Model in Writing Creative Cerpen Students of Indonesian Education and Literature Education STKIP Singkawang

    This research is motivated by the low ability of student in creative writing short story. The thing that base the problem is the difficulty of students in exploring and developing idea. The problem in this research is how the learning model choose your clue cards (CYCC) in creative writing short story of student majoring in Indonesian language and literature education at STKIP Singkawang. This research focuses on studying the factual conditions of CYCC in creative writing short story writing in the Indonesian language and literature education department at the time the research was conducted. This research uses research and development methods and design or Research and Development (R&D). The development of this learning device refers to the 4-D device development model by Thiagarajan, et al. However, in this study, researchers only took 3-D, namely the stages of defining, designing, and developing. Hal yang mendasari masalah tersebut adalah sulitnya mahasiswa dalam menggali dan mengembangkan ide. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah model pembelajaran choose your clue cards (CYCC) dalam menulis kreatif cerpen mahasiswa jurusan pendidikan bahasa dan sastra Indonesia di STKIP Singkawang.
