    Learning Strategy of Akidah Akhlak Subject During Covid-19 Pandemic in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

    The Covid-19 pandemic causes many problems which forced teachers to innovate and determine the learning strategies used. The strategy was chosen based on the nature or subject material character. Akidah Akhlak was a compulsory subject in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This study aimed to analyze the teacher's strategy in the learning of Akidah Akhlak Subject at MIN Palu during the pandemic. The design of this research was descriptive qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The data were obtained from interviews, observations and documentation. The study results showed that the Akidah Akhlak learning strategy was implemented in two learning models, namely Online and Offline (Home Visit). The first was online learning by using smartphones and laptops with the WhatsApp application, video calls, google classroom, and Ruang Guru Application. The second was student's home visits by gathering some students who lived nearby to each other's house to study together and assignments were given every week based on a schedule. The home visit is prioritized for students who were categorized as slow learners and students without internet connection. In online learning and home visits, creativity and optimizing the roles of teachers and parents are very necessary for the effective and efficient learning.     Project-based Learning an Innovation in Teaching RELT: A Study on Students’ Needs

    The condition of learning in the post-pandemic era varies; although the learning process can be fully offline, some universities do blended learning. A blended learning system also happened in UIN Syahada Padangsidimpuan. This paper aims to inform the needs of students in learning research in ELT subjects; it was one of the subjects distributed to English students at this university. The data were taken using mixed-method methods, and the data was collected using questionnaires and interviews. 61 (sixty-one) students filled out the questionnaires, and 10 (ten) students were asked to get interviews. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. After analyzing the data, it was found that the students liked to study using several methods. Although they have been stated to study with several methods, the highest percentage is Project-based Learning (PjBL). Based on the result, it can be concluded that the students need the PjBL in learning Research in English Language Teaching (RELT) subject matter.     Academic Culture is the habituation that can characterize an institution in college; good quality culture ensures the development of proper academic services. Technology advancement that threatens morality and academic culture must be anticipated with spiritually nuanced programs like the Subuh Mubarokahh program. As with any program, evaluation must be carried out. This research aims to evaluate behavior change and the benefits of academic culture activities. This is descriptive quantitative non-associative research, with a questionnaire as the instrument; participants included 43 lecturers and 504 students from Padang State University's Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality. According to the research results, the benefits of improving personal qualities that encourage the quality of faith and pious deeds as a Muslim are very high, and the development of a quality academic culture of kriya, ruhiyah, and badaniyah from personal lecturers and students. The program evaluation recommends that the Subuh mubarokah always be carried out by developing studies that align with the needs of lecturers and students to ensure the program's benefits in the realization of an academic culture that becomes the self-image of a quality institution

    Exploratory Sequential Study in the Implementation of Moodle-Based Flipped Classroom on Microteaching Class

    The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the process of teaching and learning activities, one of which is social distancing. The flipped classroom learning method is a solution. The research objectives are: Knowing the process of implementing a moodle-based flipped classroom on microteaching class, Testing and describing the effect of implementing a moodle-based flipped classroom on microteaching on student achievement at IAIN Pekalongan, and Knowing student responses to the implementation of flipped classroom-based moodle. This research approach is mixed methods research. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. The results showed: 1) The implementation of the Moodle-based flipped classroom was carried out in several steps including: a) Making video tutorials about microteaching, b) Uploading videos on LMS moodle, c) Giving assignments, and d) When in class, the lecturer focuses on deepening the results of student assignments; 2) The effect of the flipped classroom implementation based on moodle based on the results of the t test that the calculated T value = [-44,338] or 44,338 and the significance value (2-tailed) is 0.000. So, there is an effect of the implementation of the Moodle-based flipped classroom in the microteaching class on student achievement at IAIN Pekalongan; 3) Student responses to: a) Microteaching class is included in the very positive category with an average of 89.17%, b) LMS moodle is included in the positive category with an average student response of 81.14%, and c) flipped classroom included in the positive category with an average student response of 83.70%

    Reorienting Islamic Education in Aceh: Paradigm and Strategies of Dayah Leaders in the Last Two Decades

    This article aims to shed light on Abu's (a Dayah leader in Aceh) paradigm and strategy in reorienting Islamic education inside the dayah educational framework in the last two decades. Even now, the Acehnese people's socio-religious life still accepts and includes the traditional Islamic educational institution known as dayah. However, Dayah must adapt to the dynamics of the changing times to ensure its graduates to participate more fully in society. The Dayah in West-South and East-North coasts of Aceh are the subjects of this qualitative study using a multi-site case study. They are Dayah Asasul Islamiyah in East Aceh, Dayah Madinatuddiniyah Nurul Huda in North Aceh, Dayah Madinatuddiniyah Darul 'Ulumiddin in Southwest Aceh, and Dayah Darussalam Labuhan Haji in South Aceh. The research data was gathered through purposeful-snowballing in-depth interviewing techniques with a variety of informants, including Abu as the dayah's leader. After that, the data is processed using interactive analytic procedures, which include condensing, presenting, and concluding. According to the study's findings, Aceh's dayah leaders' (Abu) paradigm has shifted from being exclusive and orthodox to being inclusive and flexible during the dayah's current period of development. The Mua'dalah programme and the higher education programme Ma'had Aly were both implemented as part of Abu's strategy to reorient Islamic education in dayah, as well as the training of human resources to become educators

    Santri MBKM (Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka) Program in Development Self-Student

    MBKM Santri is a Merdeka belajar – Kampus Merdeka program by Santri to carry out community service at target Islamic boarding schools and partner Islamic boarding schools directly. Student independent campus activities are expected to be able to hone the soft skills of partnership, work together in cross-disciplinary teams, and lead students at the destination Islamic Boarding School and other Partner Islamic Boarding Schools. This study used a qualitative approach, carried out at the Nurul Jadid Paiton Islamic Boarding School with 10 MBKM participating students as subjects. This type of research uses case studies. The results of this study indicate that MBKM Santri is implemented through; developing student potential, establishing student interpersonal relationships, developing student skills, and fostering new motivation for students. Students can further develop their abilities by participating in activities held by partner campuses and Islamic boarding schools. The existence of the student MBKM is intended so that students can further develop their abilities by participating in activities held by the destination campus and pesantren/partners. MBKM Santri students plan to implement several activities carried out on the destination campus to their partner campus / campus itself

    The Loss of Teacher’s Authority in Online Learning During Covid-19 Pandemic

    The Covid-19 epidemic has altered social and physical segregation policies in the field of schooling. Due to this restriction, learning is now done online instead of in person. Teachers also lost their true authority in the classroom as a result of this evolving learning practice. This study employed a qualitative research methodology. Interviews and observation are used to acquire data. The method of data analysis makes use of the theory. Interviews and observation are used to acquire data. The method of data analysis relies on Miles and Huberman's theory, which calls for gathering, reducing, and presenting data. This study demonstrates that throughout the pandemic, teachers have lost their influence over online learning. Following up on this research will need to assess how prepared teachers are to deal with shifts from traditional offline to online learning environment

    Escaping Materials from Lower Order Thinking Skills in Geschool

    The objective of this study was to determine the distribution of Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of EFL materials posted in Geschool. The analysis was made in accordance with the revised Bloom's taxonomy including cognitive and knowledge dimension. Data of this study were collected by using document analysis method which were taken from EFL online materials and tasks in Geschool for grade IX at Junior High School Adabiah Padang. The Geschool online materials were analyzed by using cognitive and knowledge dimension analysis guide. The findings showed that all topics in knowledge dimensions belonged to Lower Order Thinking Skill.  Meanwhile, in cognitive domain. there were only 14.14% tasks belonged to higher-lorder thinking skill. In the knowledge dimension aspect, most HOTS materials belonged to factual knowledge. While in cognitive aspect, most HOTS questions belonged to remembering level.  It can be concluded that the majority of EFL materials in Geschool belonged to lower-level thinking skills, particularly remembering (cognitive dimension) of factual knowledge.  Therefore, big efforts should be addressed to escape from such low level of knowledge

    Creativity is the potential of every individual that can be studied, processed, explored and developed for the better, not an innate talent and trait born in a person. In the implementation of learning, Creativity has an essential role in creating more active, fun, exciting learning and facilitates learning. Teacher creativity is the ability to find thoughts about ideas and ideas in solving a problem related to educational science. Creative teachers will continue to develop exciting learning to improve quality, improve materials, use methods, use media and manage classrooms. Especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic, a teacher is required to create exciting and fun learning. The Covid-19 pandemic that has occurred throughout the world, including Indonesia, involves implementing distance learning as instructed by the Ministry of Education and Culture to continue learning during this COVID-19 outbreak. Therefore, teachers at all levels of education must make new learning plans related to distance learning. Likewise, the teaching carried out at SMP Negeri 4 Subah, an area in the red zone of the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak, requires learning to be carried out online. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Subah with a qualitative approach or descriptive field research. The results show that teachers at SMP Negeri 4 Subah are ready to carry out online learning by utilizing media or applications that can support online learning to keep it exciting and fun, including using WhatsApp, Google Classroom, Google Form, Zoom Meeting, Email and other applications on when delivering subject matter, giving assignments and carrying out tests

    Prospective Biology Teachers Perceptions of CT, ICT and TPACK Skills

    The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the learning process to change from face-to-face to online learning, without exception it has also occurred at Islamic Universities in Indonesia. Therefore, an online learning design with WhatsApp and Google Classroom was conduct to improved critical thinking (CT), information communication and technology (ICT), and technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) of Prospective Biology Teachers in Islamic Universities (PBTs-IU). The aims of this study was to investigate prospective biology teacher’s perceptions of critical thinking, ICT and TPACK skills of during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used quantitative descriptive method. Data were collected from 195 PBTs-IU, with of 19 males and 176 females. The quality of the instrument was achieved use confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and alpha Cronbach tests. Then, paired sample correlations test was used to confirmed the hypothesis. The result of the study showed that there is different with CT, ICT and TPACK skill pre-course with post-course PBTs-IU. This finding also showed that score CT, ICT and TPACK of PBTs-IU for post-course is higher than pre-course. In concluded, there was a significant difference score for pre-course and post course about prospective biology teacher’s perceptions of CT, ICT and TPACK skills of during the Covid-19 pandemic
