    Islamic Religious Education Teacher's Strategy in Forming Students' Religious Character

    Character education values such as discipline, honesty and responsibility need strengthening in their implementation at this time. We can see this in how the youth behave. For example, many students violate school rules, do not do their assignments, cheat, or even skip classes for no reason. These things can apparently arise due to the loss of religious character in students. The aim of this study is to describe the strategies used by Islamic Religious Education teachers in shaping the religious character of students and their supporting and inhibiting factors. This method of research is qualitative research. This research uses a field research approach, namely from the process, if the activities at SMPN 3 pages in the Islamic Religious Education strategy program in Shaping Students' Religious Character. Researchers used purposive sampling techniques to select informants, and to collect data, researchers used observation, interviews, and documentation. For the data validity, researchers use triangulation and data analysis, which is then processed and arranged systematically so that it can be interpreted and produce something in the form of thoughts, theories, opinions, or even new ideas. The results showed that this strategy has not been fully successful because there are many obstacles. Almost everything is limited and not all programs can run efficiently

    Interactive E-Book Model Based on Local Wisdom as a Media for Learning Exposition Text Reading Skills

    This study aims describes the process of designing an interactive e-book model based on the local wisdom of Minangkabau culture. This type of research is mixed methods or commonly known as mixed research methods. The mixed model used is a 4-D model consisting of four stages, namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. This research was conducted on students of class X of State High School 2 Padang. Innovative learning media are indispensable by students to be used independently in the learning process Indonesian. Therefore, research in interactive e-book models is used as one of the alternatives to overcome the limitations of learning media in exposition text reading skills. The results of this study describe the making of an interactive e-book model based on local wisdom of exposition text reading skills with a validity value of 94.44% with a very valid category. Based on the feasibility aspect of content obtained validity value of 97.50% with a very valid category. Based on the aspect of eligibility of validity, obtained a validity value of 89.28% with a very valid category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the interactive e-book for reading skills reading the exposition text of students of class X is valid and can be continued to the next stage

    Digital Learning Quality: Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and 4C Skills at Higher Education

    The digital era has an impact on education and the quality of learning. Digital devices are a necessity in classroom learning. Bringing equipment to class for learning is still considered 'unnatural' for educators and educational institutions. On the other hand, the device can be used as a medium to find materials in classroom learning. The purpose of this study is to examine the quality management of learning in higher education by bringing their own tools (BYOD) to classroom learning to improve 21st century skills in the Islamic Education Management study program at UIN KHAS Jember. This research is qualitative research, using observations, interviews and documentation as data collection and interactive data analysis. This research used 45 students as informants. The results showed that the personal devices used by students in classroom learning brought benefits to critical, creative, collaborative, and communicative thinking skills. The benefits of using BYOD in the classroom are motivating and improving student participation in class discussions

    The development of halal tourism in West Sumatra is not proportional, due to a lack of service to tourists and the prevalence of negative social behaviors such as fraud, coercion, deception, and violence within the Minang society, often known as the 4P (Pakuak, Palak, Pakang, and Preman) behavior. This research aims to identify and educate on social behaviors of fraud, coercion, deception, and violence (Pakuak, Palak, Pakang, and Preman) that hinder the development of halal tourism in West Sumatra. The research findings indicate that first, the potential of halal tourism in West Sumatra, seen from religious, socio-cultural, natural potential, and stakeholder perspectives, strongly supports the development of halal tourism. Second, behaviors inhibiting the development of tourism communities, the 4P (Pakuak, Palak, Pakang, and Preman), are still prevalent amidst tourism activities in West Sumatra. Third, the Islamic Behavior Improvement (IBI) Tourism Model for tourism communities, tourists, and halal tourism stakeholders in West Sumatra, based on development results, has been tested for product validity.     The Implementation of Bilingual Class Program in Islamic Elementary School

    For several decades, the expanding usage of English as an international language has resulted in a growth in its users all over the world, including in Indonesia. As a result, the bilingual education program becomes a medium for promoting English in society. This case study investigated the implementation of a bilingual class program at an Islamic elementary school in Indonesia, namely in Banten province. The participants of the study included a bilingual teacher, the school principal, the vice-principal for student affairs, and the vice-principal for curriculum division. Interviews, classroom observations, and documentation were utilized to collect the data. Meanwhile, the Miles and Huberman data analysis technique was employed to analyze the data, which consisted of data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results elaborated on some aspects related to the practice of bilingual class programs in this school namely: the aspect of school administration, the aspect of human resources, the aspect of teaching and learning activities, and the aspect of program evaluation. The findings also revealed that the school adopted partial immersion as the bilingual program model

    Students Questioning Skills in the Learning Process with Content Mastery Techniques at Islamic Boarding School

    The positive impact of questioning skills is quite large on the learning process and student learning outcomes. Low questioning skills can cause students to hesitate when asking questions, thus forgetting the main idea of the question to be conveyed it affects effective learning in the classroom. The purpose of this study was to compare the difference in pretest scores before and post-test after participating in content mastery services. The research method used is quantitative using a Pre-Experiment design with One Group Pretest-Post-test Design. The subjects of this study were 36 students at Ponpes Perkampungan Minangkabau Padang. Determination of the subject of this study using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used in this study was a self-assessing skill scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used is the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of the data analysis stated that there was a significant difference in scores on the pretest and post-tests of students' questioning skills after participating in the content mastery service. Thus, content mastery services are effective in improving students' questioning skills

    Improving Students’ Dyscalculia Numeracy Ability Using Learning Media Colored Bead Montessori

    This study aims to investigate the effects of colored bead Montessori learning media to students’ numeral thinking skills none of the elementary schools (SD) in Padang, Indonesia. This study used a quantitative method with a single-subject research approach, the research data was taken from a student with dyscalculia through fifteen direct lessons using colored bead Montessori learning media. Data were analyzed by using visual graphical analysis tool descriptively were analyzed descriptively using visual graphical analysis tools. The results of this study showed that the use of colored bead Montessori learning media based on the analysis can actually improve the numeracy skills of students with dyscalculia in learning. This improvement is proved by, at first the students' scores were 2, 4, 4, 4, this was the value before the researcher used the media. Furthermore, after the researcher did seven times direct treatment, it was found that the students' scores increased to 10, 13, 15, 18, 20, 20, 20, even students were able to obtain self-evaluation scores with numbers 20, 20, 20, 20. The results of this study proved that the use of colored bead Montessori media has been able to improve the numeracy skills of students in learning. Referring to the results of this research, colored bead Montessori can be used as an alternative media in learning numeracy skills of students with dyscalculia none of the elementary schools

    Improving Learning Outcomes of Islamic Religious Education for Elementary School Students with the Application of the Talking Stick Learning Model

    This study aims to analyse the improvement of Islamic religious education learning outcomes for elementary school students by applying the Talking Stick learning model. A Achieving the target of learning is the main goal of an educator to his students. In fact, there are not a few educators who have not fully implemented how to learn effective and fun and still stick only with classical methods. There are quite a few choices of learning models, one of which is the Talking Stick. This research was conducted using the Systematic Literature Review method which was carried out by reviewing, analysing, and drawing conclusions based on relevant articles that were screened and selected systematically. In this study, we will discuss efforts to improve elementary school student learning outcomes by applying the Talking Stick learning model. Learning outcomes by applying the Talking Stick learning model, namely, the experimental class with the Talking Stick model immediately showed significant differences in learning outcomes in the first cycle compared to before the implementation of Talking Stick. Several other studies on the implementation of the Talking Stick model were carried out for 2 to 3 cycles and then there was a significant difference in results from before the implementation of the Talking Stick learning model

    The purpose of this article is to describe the role of teacher leadership as a model for early childhood character development, as well as the difficulties in developing children's character. The study uses a qualitative approach in describing situations from social reality. Data was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, verification, and conclusion. This study concludes that the teacher's leadership role can shape the childhood independent character. Firstly, the role of teacher leadership in learning as a model of childhood independence for habituation. Secondly, there are childhood independent characters in daily activities. Thirdly, there are difficulties faced by teachers in realizing independent characters for children. This study recommends that teachers need to be given leadership reinforcement in early childhood character development so that they can develop optimally

    Beyond Conventional Boundaries: A Literature Study on Madrasah Management and the Construction of Online Learning Innovations

    In the current era of the new normal, substantial transformations are unfolding within the education sector. E-learning has emerged as a prevalent alternative for augmenting individual proficiencies and abilities. Madrasahs have transcended the confines of scientific dichotomy, instead embracing innovation and change. The online learning process, when effectively implemented, significantly impacts student quality improvement. This research aims to comprehensively analyze the dynamics of online learning, thereby discovering an online learning model in madrasas. The study is qualitative, using library analysis techniques. Data sources are derived from the results of scientific journal research or primary books. The study results identify various online learning modalities, namely (1) the contribution and significance of leadership roles in policy and building a culture that supports the learning process; (2) the enhancement of teacher and manager professionalism, specifically emphasizing technical skills (cognitive-practical); (3) the implementation of continuous monitoring and evaluation of the program's success, as well as a means of feedback on the direction of online learning. The research results also reveal that resource availability, teacher readiness, self-confidence, student accessibility, and motivation play essential roles in learning integrated with information technology
