Implementation of Integrated Learning Based Integrated Islamic School Network Curriculum in SMA ABBS Surakarta
This research aims to identify the implementation of integrated learning method based on Integrated Islamic School Network curriculum in SMA ABBS of Surakarta. This research is aimed to analyze the integrated phases used in SMA ABBS. Descriptive qualitative research was applied where the data taken from document, events, and informants. The results of the research show that there are three phases of integrated learning: material comprehension, integrated understanding, and practicing the integrated learning. The implementation of integrated learning method in SMA ABBS develops intellectual intelligence (IQ), emotional intelligence (EQ), and spiritual intelligence (SQ). The implementation of integrated learning method based on Integrated Islamic School Network curriculum has ideological foundation sourced from the holy Qur’an and As-Hadits. The successful implementation of this method is due to good cooperation between the committees involved
Factors Affecting Internship Students’ Speaking Anxiety
This study is sought to discover the English speaking anxiety factors in class of internship students and to investigate the students’ efforts to cope the problems. This research applied qualitative method in addition research subjects were 30 English internship students of Universitas Syiah Kuala in 2015. The data were collected through questionnaire and interview. Both of the instruments were adapted from (Tum Kunt, 2013). The study discovered that the major factors of students’ speaking anxiety divided into two interrelated groups; psychological and educational factors. Regarding to the psychological factors, the students were anxious and feeling fear of having misunderstanding teachers’ instruction and supervision. The educational factors were reflecting to the current bad performance of speaking skill aspects namely; inaccurate of fluency, inappropriate of vocabulary, inappropriate application of grammar rule, insufficient materials preparation and poor of pronunciation. Nevertheless, 16 internship students who were indicated high level of speaking anxiety used various efforts to solve the speaking anxiety such as; practicing, listening to native speaker’s utterance, reading English texts, memorizing words, keeping using English in class, learning grammar rule, making note, preparing the material and using audio dictionary. This study concludes that everyone has anxiety and it is common, yet this problem could be reduced by doing some effort
On Using of a Mobile Learning in Teaching History at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang: A Research and Development Model
The study aims to develop a learning model through mobile learning in the Social Sciences Department of Tarbiyah Faculty of UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. This research is a developmental research. This research is aimed at developing a mobile learning model that is expected to be able to produce a product in the future. The product produced is in the learning development model through mobile learning in the Social Sciences Department of Tarbiyah Faculty of UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the development of learning models through mobile learning in the Social Sciences Department of History of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at UIN Imam Bonjol Padang was effective in increasing students' interest in Social Sciences Department History and Development of practical learning models through mobile learning developed in Social Studies Department History of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching UIN Imam Bonjol Padang deserves to be developed in order to improve the quality and interest of students in the learning process
Are We Islamic Young Scholars? Profiling Excellent Students at Madrasah
Madrasah as one of educational institutions under Ministry of Religious Affairs in Indonesia has been rapidly enhanced to construct civilized generations that can contribute to the Muslim transmission. One of which is through the concern on developing student’s academic tenacity in some learning subjects of astronomy, physics, chemistry and biology in madrasah. Regarding to this growth, this article is intended to elaborate the inspiring students’ profiles at secondary madrasah of Insan Cendekia Serpong (ICS) for their grit, independence and perseverance in education that they excel astronomy, physics, chemistry and biology. By interviewing the students, teachers, parents and peers, and documenting the management of institution, this research elucidates that the socio-cultural factors and the students’ beliefs in nature can optimize the students’ intrinsic and extrinsic motivations for the advancement of their academic tenacity in natural science subjects. Accordingly, the exemplary students of madrasah can be the agent of change maintaining tradition of being knowledge pioneer that instill a self-concept of being a scientific and religious scholar. Madrasah is also an appropriate institution to integrate and deepen student’s spirituality and modern knowledge
University Students’ Ability In Discourse Type Recognition
The aim of the study is to identify the discourse type recognition of university students. Descriptive qualitative study was employed to explore the students’ ability in recognizing discourse types. To achieve the objective of the study, a test of discourse type recognition was administered to 25 students of non-English department at a private Islamic university in Yogyakarta. The findings showed that most students found it difficult in recognizing discourse types, the physical form, and the situation in which the discourse types might be found. Other than that, the existence of cultural specificity in discourse types might hinder the students from predicting the proper names for the discourse types. This suggested that the students need to be given more exposures on discourse types and cross cultural understanding to help them identify the discourse types better
The Effect of Zikir Relaxation in Counseling to Reduce Internet Addiction
The high number of internet addiction experienced by students has been increasing for last decades. The addiction can potentially damage the brain's nerve cells, which in turn affect students' cognitive, emotion and behavior. Thus, an effective treatment is urgently needed. One of the alternatives is by employing the zikir relaxation in counseling. This study aims find the effect of zikir relaxation in counseling as the attempt to reduce the anxiety due to the internet addiction of high school students. The research method used experiment method specifically, the pretest and posttest control group design. There were 10 students taken through the random sampling. Data analysis used independent t test. The results of the study found that: (1) there was a difference level of anxiety reduction due to internet addiction for the students who received the treatment compared those who did not get, and (2) there was a significant influence between remembrance relaxations in counseling on student anxiety reduction in internet addiction. The Problematics of Islamic Religious Education Teacher In Using of Instructional Media at SD Negeri 06 Pancung Soal Pesisir Selatan
The purpose of this study is to describe the condition of PAI teachers in teaching related to the use of instructional media. This study uses a qualitative approach. The instrument of this research is the researcher himself. Key informants are PAI teachers, while supporting informants are principals, teachers and students as well as other informants who are obtained by using snow-ball sampling.The findingsof the study obtained an overview of the conditions of theimplementation of the process of religious learning conducted by the teacher. In this case therelationship with variations in using instructional media. It was found in this study that in generalthe teaching teacher was accustomed to traditional ways and could not use the media. Besidesthat, the instructional media available in schools cannot be used for various reasons. And eventeachers have been satisfied with the teaching conditions that have been carried out for years,so they are not interested in using the right instructional media in accordance with the learningmaterial provided

Motivation plays important role in language learning. It has contributed to grow student’s interest in learning Arabic language. This research is aimed to describe real case in State Islamic Senior High School (MAN) Sumenep and Nurul Islam Senior School Sumenep. This study was conducted through qualitative research approach which multi-case study was as research design. The findings are; a. the intrinsic motivation to learn Arabic are that students have an interest in Arabic owing to they need to understand the Quran and intend to continue to pursue higher level, and have positive attitude towards Arabic, b. the extrinsic motivations are their father boost and encourage them to learn the Arabic language, and majority of their teacher are able to use the Arabic language well, and then the Arabic teacher chooses the precise and good method of teaching and learning which enable them to enjoy deepening that language, as well as the heads of both schools have good ability in applying the Arabic language. Furthermore, by various methods of teaching and learning, the Arabic teacher can engage the student motivation to learn that language which formally is used as official language of Islam. In additionally, the use of many kinds teaching medias and instruments and also advice and assistance helps the educator to increase pupil spirit in understanding and using the language
The Utilization of Project Based Learning and Guided Discovery Learning: Effective Methods to Improve Students’ Mathematics Ability
The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is any difference between students’ mathematical representation ability who were taught by using the learning model of Project Based Learning with students who were taught by Guided Discovery Learning; there is any difference in the students' mathematical representation ability based on high, medium, or low learning motivation categories, and there is an interaction between the learning model and the learning motivation toward mathematical representation ability. A quasi experiment was used with 2x3 factorial designs. Instrument used to collect data was mathematics test and learning motivation questionnaire. The hypothesis testing used two way analysis of variance with unequal cell. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the students' mathematics ability that was taught by using Project Based Learning model with students who were taught by sing Guided Discovery Learning model; there is a difference in the students’mathematical representation ability based on high, medium, or low learning motivation; and there is an interaction between the learning model and the learning motivation on the mathematics ability
Developing Worksheet Based on Multiple Intelligences to Optimize the Creative Thinking Students
The research and development of worksheet based on multiple intelligences aims to develop and describe the effectiveness of worksheet based on Multiple Intelligences to optimizing the ability of creative thinking students. The type of research used is research and development that refers to the theory of Borg Gall. The population of this research is the students of 5th grade of Primary School in Metro East. The sample of this research was 33 students of 5th grade in Islamic Primary School of Wahdatul Ummah Metro is determined using purposive sampling technique. Data were collected used questionnaires and test questions. The results showed that worksheet based on Multiple Intelligences effectively optimize the creative thinking students
