MANAJEMEN USAHA PENANGKAPAN IKAN DI PELABUHAN PERIKANAN PANTAI SADENG KABUPATEN GUNUNG KIDUL
This research aims to discover the suitability of the rights and obligations of the owners of the land, the helmsman and the crews; finding out the value of the investment and operating costm the revenue of the owners of the land, the helmsman and the crews profit sharing system and management of fishing attempt; finding out the effect of social capital ( trust, norms, social networks)and non social capital ( education, age, experience) towards the result of fishing. The sample of respondents were the owners of motor vessels using gillnet and handline fishing gears, the helmsman and the crews.Data analysis tool used was the Likert Scale which was then processed using multiple linear regressions. This research result showed that the owners of the land are obliged to provide the means of production and the operating cost during the fishing attempt and has the right to determine their fish catch marketing chain. The helmsman takes full responsibility during the fishing attempt including supervising the crews work, and the crews are obliged to work well during fishing. The systems of revenue sharing is 50%-50%. The ratio of net income towards the cost of the land owners, the helmsman, and the crews is bigger than the interest rate. The phase of the managements of fishing attempt includes planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluation. Social capital in the form of trust and norms as well as non-social capital in the form of education and experience give positive effects to inceas fish catch
ANALISIS KELAYAKAN DAN STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN USAHA BUDIDAYA IKAN AIR TAWAR DI KABUPATEN SLEMAN
The aims of this research are (1) determine the feasibility, (2) estimate the contribution of fisheries to the household income and (3) formulate business development strategies for seeding and enlargement of the tilapia catfish and carp comoditiesy Sleman regency.Purposive sampling was used and the following locatios District Ngemplak, Moyudan, and Minggir. Data collection was perfomed proptionally interviewing 15 farmers in hatchery operations and enlargement of catfish, tilapia, and carp. The feasibility analysis tools used was the analysis of costs and revenues, financial analysis that includes the Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Benefit Cost (Net B/C), Payback Period (PP), and Break Event Point (BEP). Descriptive analysis was used for contributions to household income. The formulation of the strategy was carried out by the SWOT matrix analysis.The feasibility analysis result are NPV hatchery of catfish Rp. 193.091.118, NPV enlargement of catfish Rp 17.943.762, NPV hatchery of tilapia Rp 60.162.636, NPV of enlargement of tilapia Rp 31.850.378, NPV hatchery of carp Rp 44.981.614, and NPV enlargement of carp Rp 39.507.351. IRR hatchery of catfish 66%. IRR enlargement of catfish 29%. IRR hatchery of tilapia 63% IRR enlargement of tilapia 77%, IRR hatchery of carp 33% and IRR enlargement of carp 52%. Net B/C hatchery of catfish 1,57, Net B/C enlargement of catfish 1,08, Net B/C hatchery of tilapia 1,48, Net B/C enlargement of tilapia 1,65, Net B/C hatchery of carp 1,09 and Net B/C enlargement of carp 1,63. The payback period below 3 years. Fish farming contributes to the monthly family income at 48,87% and is above the minimum regional wages in Sleman. Thus the cultivation of freshwater fish in Sleman is feasible because it is profitable and can incease the family income. Aquaculture business development strategies can be applied based on the SWOT matrix and the feasibility result that include innovation, taking advantage of the simplicity of production and infrastructure factors that support freshwater fish farming and increasing the role of entrepeneurs and the stakholders through the development if technology and information
ANALISIS KELAYAKAN USAHA DAN STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN BUDIDAYA RUMPUT LAUT DI KABUPATEN SERAM BAGIAN BARAT
The objectives of this study are to find out th level of business feasibility for seaweed cultivation and setting the strategy development business of seaweed cultivation in West Seram regency.Purposive sampling method was applied in this study for selecting locations in the district as center of seaweed production. West Seram Kotania, Osi Island, Wael hamlet, Wae Pesy, and Taman Jaya were selected as region fotr this study.From the location of the study, there were 47 respondents were selected by stratified random sampling for the SWOT analysis, composed as fisherman 40 respondents, fisher and nayal official 6, and 1 collectors.Data analysis was carried out to look at the business feasibility and development strategy in seaweed cultivation. Feasibiility analysis, namely Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C), Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C), Break Event Point (BEP) and Internal Rate of Investment (ROI) were applied. Moreover, to formulate the development strategy, the SWOT analysis instrument was used, which begins with the validity and reliability of the statement used in the SWOT analysis.Based on the analysis there were obtained that value of Revenue Cost Ratio (R/C>1) at 2.32, Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C>0) at 1.32, Break Event Point of price Rp 3,232.88, Break Event Point unit production of Rp 989.26 Kg, Rate of Investment (ROI) at 131,99%. From the analysis it can be concluded that the business development efforts of seaweed in the district of West Seram deserves to be developed. Then, SWOT analysis result shown that development strategy of seaweed farming is to reduce the intensity of cultivation, expansion, and increased production and maximizing the potential of local wisdom in the form of marine guard. Meanwhile, local governance should facilitate the development of seaweed production by serving coaches and supervision of seaweed farming
RESPONS PETANI TERHADAP INOVASI BUDIDAYA DAN PEMANFAATAN SORGUM DI KECAMATAN SRANDAKAN KABUPATEN BANTUL
This research was conducted in Poncosari Village, Srandakan Sub District, Bantul Regency. Poncosari Village is an area that farmers cultivate sorghum. This research aims to determine the innovation cultivation and utilization of sorghum, the response of farmers to the innovation and utilization of sorghum and use the products for varrous purposive, and the factors that influence the response of farmers on cultivation innovation and they use of sorghum product in Srandakan Sub District, Bantul Regency. The research results showed that the response rate of cultivate innovation of sorghum farmers and utilization was 57.99%. Where 90% of the farmers are still hesitant to application innovation and utilization of sorghum cultivation. The eason that sorghum is a newdeveloped technology in the surveyed area. Perception and motivation in a positively and significantly influence to the response off armerson cultivation innovation and utilization of sorghum cultivation. Factors that did not significantly influence to the response on farmers cultivating innovation and utilization of sorghum areage, education, land lize, sorghum farming experience, and intensity extension activity
KONSUMSI BERAS ORGANIK PADA TINGKAT RUMAH TANGGA DI KOTA YOGYAKARTA
This research was conducted (1) to determine the organic rice consumption patterns in the region of Yogyakarta City (2) to determine the characteristics of organic rice consumed in the region of Yogyakarta City and (3) to identify the factors influencing the demand for organic rice in Yogyakarta City. The basic method for this research is descriptive analysis. The research located in Yogyakarta City were determined through incidental sampling, there were 35 organic rice consumers as respondents. The data was analyzed by multiple linier regression analysis by Ordinary Least Square (OLS). The result showed that (1) there are 3 categories for the consumption patterns of organic rice at the household level in Yogyakarta City, they are routinely, mixed, and occasionally, with the following results: total food expenditure per month 2,1 million rupiahs - 5 million rupiahs (45,71%), the amount of consumption per month is 21-40 kg by the number of family 5-7 members (51,43%), most consumers choose distributor as a place to purchase organic rice (60%), the main reason of organic rice consumption is the health factor (88,57%), consumers are satisfied to consume organic rice (85,71%), the long of consumption is 1-6 months (42,86%), source of information about the benefits of organic rice from the electronic media (36,36%) and information about the characteristics of organic rice from distributors, (2) consumers of organic rice at the household in Yogyakarta City (40%) consume organic rice from menthik wangi variety that has typical characteristic of white color, rice color level is clear, the rice smells fragrant, rough texture, low broken rice percentage (10-20%), sweet taste, rice fluffiness level is fluffier and more durable resistance, (3) the consumption of organic rice is positively affected by organic rice consumption are the price of non-organic rice, instant noodles price, health factor and negatively affected by price of tempe and tahu price. Non-organic rice and instant noodles are substitutes for organic rice, while tempe and tahu are complements of organic rice.
PENGARUH PERILAKU KOMUNIKASI TERHADAP SIKAP DAN ADOPSI TEKNOLOGI BUDIDAYA BAWANG MERAH DI LAHAN PASIR PANTAI KECAMATAN SANDEN KABUPATEN BANTUL
This research was conducted in Sanden subdistrict Bantul district with the purpose of finding out: 1) the communication behavior of onion farmers, 2) factors affecting communication behaviour, 3) factors affecting farmer’s attitude, and 4) the influence of communication behavior, attitude, and other factors, toward technology adoption of onion cultivation.The method used in this research was descriptive approach by survey technique. The sampling of village and farming groups were done purposively, while the sampling of respondent farmers was done randomly. The number of total sample was 60 farmers consisted of 30 farmers from Manunggal Farming Group, Srigading Village, and 30 farmers from Karang Rejo Farming Group, Gadingharjo Village. The analysis methods used were proportion test and multiple linier regression analysis.The result of this research showed that farmer’s communication behavior belonged to low category. The credibility of communication media positively affected toward farmer’s communication behavior, while education, land size, and motivation didn’t have significant affect. Communication behavior, motivation, dan education positively affected toward farmer’s attitude, while land size didn’t have significant affect. Farmer’s attitude positively affected toward technology adoption of onion cultivation, communication behavior, motivation, education, dan land size didn’t have significant affect. Communication behavior affected toward attitude and furthermore attitude affected toward technology adoption of onion at sandy coastal land
RESPONS MAHASISWA TERHADAP WEBSITE PURNAMA JAYA FARM SLEMAN
This study aims to identify creation of Purnama Jaya Farm :s website, knowing the response of students toward the website, and the influencingfactors of it. The method used in this research was descriptive approach by survey technique. The sampling of department were done purposively, while the sampling of students was done randomly. The number of total sample was 64 students from Department of Agricultural Socio-Economics from class of 2010 to class of20 13. From each class taken 8 Agribusiness students and 8 Agricultural Extension and Communication students. The analysis methods used proportion test and multiple linier regression analysis. PERILAKU BISNIS PETANI DALAM USAHATANI BERAS SEMI ORGANIK DI KECAMATAN PANDAK KABUPATEN BANTUL
This research aimed to know farmer s business behavior in semiorganic rice farming and also to know factorswhich influence it. This research was using descriptive analytic method by survey technique. Subdistrict, villages,andfarmer group/association offarmer group samples were chosen by purposive method. 60 group member samples were taken from every farmer group/association offarmer group sample by proportional random sampling. Data was analized by Proportion Test and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis.The result of research shows that most of farmers have good business behavior in semiorganic rice farming. Business knowledge, role of farmer group leader, and farmer activity in extension give positive influence to farmer business behavior, while motivation, income alocation, working experience, type of business information resources, and outside capital do not influence its business behavior in semiorganic rice farming
ADOPSI TEKNOLOGI BUDIDAYA SORGUM DI DESA PONCOSARI KECAMATAN SRANDAKAN KABUPATEN BANTUL
Technology adoption is a process by someone of knowing until starting to apply the technology. Development is the process of improving the quantity and quality. The purpose of this research was to: (1) identify the developmentof sorghum cultivation, (2) determine the adoption level of sorghum cultivation technology, (3) determine the factors that influence to adoption level of sorghum cultivation technology, and (4) determine the effect of adoption level and the other factors in development of sorghum cultivation. The research was conducted in Poncosari Village, Srandakan Sub-district, Bantul District. The samples were farmers who directly involved in the sorghum cultivation in productive land (irrigated land). The basic method used descriptive analytic by using census sampling method that consist of 30 sorghum farmers who were members of Bismo Farmer Groups. Data were analyzed by a qualitative and quantitative approaches. Quantitative data at thefirst hypothesis was analyzed with proportion test, the second and third hypothesis used multiple linear regression. The research results showed that most of the sorghumfarmers (70%) had a high adoption level of sorghum cultivation technology. Based on the results ofmultiple linear regression analysis, factors that positivelyinfluenced to adoption level of sorghum cultivation technology were land size and role offarmer group. Development ofsorghum cultivation was included in low category with factors that positively influenced was motivation of farmers
PERANAN WANITA TANI DALAM PENERAPAN TEKNOLOGI BUDIDAYA SAYURAN DI LABAN PASIR PANT AI KECAMATAN SANDEN KABUPATEN BANTUL
This research aimed to know the role of women farmers in the application of vegetables cultivation technology and the factors that affect the role of women farmers in the application of vegetables cultivation technology, andalso determine the influence of the role of women farmers and other factors that influence the adoption ofvegetables cultivation technology. Descriptive method with survey techniques is used in this research. Sampling villages andfarmer groups conducted purposively, while sampling of women farmers were chosen by simple random sampling. Total sample amounted to 60 women farmers consist of 30 women farmers from the Manunggal farmer groups and30 women farmers from the Pasir Makmur farmer groups. The proportion test and multiple linear regression test is the method analysis which is used. The results showed that the role of women farmers in the application ofvegetablescultivation technology in the middle category, while the rate of adoption of vegetables cultivation technology is high. The age and knowledge gave positive influence on the role of women farmers, while education, womenfarmers activityin extension, attitude, motivation, family members, total of productive family members, family income, and the cultural value orientation did not significantly affect on the role of women farmers.
