The Analysis of Factors Related to Anemia Levels in Adolescent Girls
The impact on teenagers, if they experience anemia, is that it disrupts their ability to learn, reduces their physical exercise ability and body fitness, reduces individual work capacity, reduces the body's immune function, and reduces the ability to regulate body temperature. This research aimed to analyze factors related to anemia in adolescent girls. The research method used quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The population in the study were all 50 Adolescents who were checked for Hb in March and had moderate anemia. The sample was 44 respondents taken by purposive sampling technique. The instrument used a questionnaire to determine the length of the menstrual period, nutritional status, knowledge, and iron intake. The research used an ordinal distribution used an ordinal regression test. The research results showed that the variable length of menstruation was 0.879 with p=0.348 (> 0.05), the nutritional status variable was 0.231 with p=0.631 (>0.05), the knowledge level variable was 4.407 with p=0.021 (>0.05) and the nutritional intake variable was 11.575 with p=0.001 (<0.05). This meant that the level of knowledge and nutritional intake was related to the level of anemia. Meanwhile, the length of menstruation and nutritional status were not related to the level of anemia. For future researchers, it is expected to provide interventions related to knowledge including individual or group counseling as well as providing a healthy lunch menu program to increase iron intake in adolescents
Decreased Insulin and Interleukin-6 Levels in Rattus Norvegicus Model of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome-Insulin Resistance Treated with a High Protein Diet
Hypercaloric in women of childbearing age is one of the causes of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) with insulin resistance. Increased inflammation (tumor factor necrosis-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-6 (IL-6)) is the impact of endocrine and metabolic disorders involved due to metabolic syndrome, obesity, and diabetes mellitus. This study aims to evaluate whether a high-protein diet can reduce insulin and interleukin-6 levels, which are key indicators of polycystic ovary syndrome, and whether these changes can help in the treatment of the syndrome. This study used a prepost test only control design, true experimental, with a total sample of 6 female Rattus norvegicus rats aged 2–3 years (150–200 g). It consists of 4 groups, namely the negative control group (K-), the positive control group (K+), the treatment group (P), and the group without treatment (P-). The study examined the rat blood serum ELISA measurement of insulin and IL-6 levels. Anova test results of IL-6 levels (p = 0.002). Post-hoc test results of group K- and group P (p = 0.002), group K + and group P (p = 0.037), group K- and group K + (p = 0.437). The Anova test results of insulin levels between groups found a significant difference (p = 0.001). Post-hoc test of insulin levels of group K- and group P (p = 0.002), group K- and group K+ (p = 0.000), and group K+ with group P (p = 0.356). In group K and group P, the results of the ANOVA and post hoc tests on IL-6 levels and insulin levels with the provision of a high-protein diet show significant differences. This study suggests that a high-protein diet may be an effective therapeutic alternative in reducing the symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome, especially in controlling high insulin and interleukin-6 levels

Tripod Position and Pursed Lip Breathing on Respiration Rate in COPD Patients
Many people with COPD develop emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Both conditions cause obstruction of airflow in the respiratory system and cause an increase in the frequency of external respiration. One of the non-pharmacological management is tripod position and pursed lip breathing. This study aimed to determine the effect of giving a tripod position and pursed lip breathing on respiration rate in COPD patients. The design of this study used a one group pretest-post test design. The population in this study were all COPD patients at Bangil Hospital, Pasuruan in June 2021. The sampling technique of this study was consecutive sampling, the sample was obtained by 25 respondents. The instrument used observation and SOP. The results showed that the average respiration rate before giving the combination of tripod position and pursed lip breathing was 28.8x/minute, and the average value of respiration rate after giving the tripod position and pursed lip breathing was 23.2x/minute. Wilcoxon test results value = 0.000 on respiration rate before and after the combination of tripod position and pursed lip breathing, which means that tripod position and pursed lip breathing are proven to be effective on respiration rate in COPD patients. Tripod position and pursed lip breathing will loosen the chest cavity, provide positive pressure on the lungs so that air can go in and out more smoothly and reduce shortness of breat
Midwives’ Views Regarding Tuberculosis Screening amongst HIV/AIDS Positive Pregnant Women South Africa
Tuberculosis (TB) infections is classified as one of the non-pregnancy related infections (NPRI) which cause maternal mortality. Therefore, it was important for the researcher to explore the challenges faced by midwives regarding TB screening as it is the most leading complication in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infected pregnant women. To that effect, several strategies for TB screening during pregnancy have been introduced and implemented thus far. Screening of TB during antenatal care helps to enhance early detection, exclusion and treatment of the infection in pregnant women who are HIV positive. The study used qualitative descriptive research design. The population included all midwives aged 30 to 48 years, who were working at primary health (PHC) clinics in Kganya local area, Capricorn District, Limpopo Province in South Africa. Nonprobability purposive sampling technique was employed to select ten midwives. Data were collected through in-depth individual semi -structured interviews with ten midwives. Data analysis was accomplished, using the manual thematic analysis according to Tesch’s method of data analysis. Finally the main themes were extracted. Two themes emerged from the study, namely: Challenges regarding TB screening; Measures that can enhance TB screening. It is important that the department of health should pay attention to challenges faced by midwives to ensure adequate TB screening amongst HIV positive pregnant women. Capacitating both midwives and the community with knowledge regarding TB screening during pregnancy can be beneficial to the health of the pregnant women and their unborn babies
The Correlation of Length of Using IUD and Hemoglobin Levels in IUD Acceptors
IUD is a device inserted into the uterus that is very effective and long term. Behind the success of IUD, there is a side effect that often occurs, called menorrhagia. Prolonged menorrhagia will cause a decrease in hemoglobin levels which can lead to anemia. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between the length of using intrauterine devices and hemoglobin levels in IUD acceptors at Keniten Village, Mojo District, Kediri Regency. This type of research was a quantitative research by using observational design with Cross-Sectional approach. The population in this study were 53 IUD acceptors by using Probability Sampling called Simple Random Sampling, which obtained 35 respondents. This research used questionnaires as the instrument to obtain general data, birth control participant card, and hemoglobin measurement tool with Easy Touch brand. There was a significant correlation between the length of using IUD and hemoglobin levels in IUD acceptors. So it can be concluded that the use of IUD for more than 5 years can potentially lead to a greater reduction of hemoglobin levels in IUD acceptors. This can be used as a source of reference for prospective IUD acceptors about side effects, prevention, and treatment if they experience side effects from IUDs
