MULTIKULTURALISME DAN TANTANGANNYA DI INDONESIA: JEJAK KESETARAAN ETNIS DAN KULTUR DI PURA REPUBLIK/ GAMBUR ANGALAYANG KUBUTAMBAHAN BALI
AbstractLocal wisdom to knit harmony among religious believers can be found in North Bali, which is in the Pura Negara Gambur Angalayang. This temple is loaded with messages of multiculturalism within the meaning of good practices pluralism life, both against race, religion, ethnicity, and culture, which proves that multiculturalism had occurred long before the West started. Challenges Indonesia today is their radicalism and terrorism in the name of religion and poverty as the basis. Pura Negara Gambur Angalayang is a monument in a religious context, which became an integrative factor for an assortment of religious, ethnic, and cultural in promoting cross cultural life in North Bali. Learning from history, integrative factor which is local wisdom is very suitable to be used as a model of multicultural education, while useful to pursue future ties Indonesian people to prosperity and well-being (gemah ripah loh jinawi).AbstrakKearifan lokal dalam merajut kerukunan antarumat beragama dapat ditemukan di Bali Utara, yaitu di Pura Negara Gambur Angalayang. Pura ini sarat dengan pesan makna multikulturalisme dalam good practices kehidupan pluralisme, baik terhadap ras, agama, etnik, maupun budaya, yang membuktikan bahwa multikulturalisme sudah terjadi jauh sebelum bangsa Barat memulainya. Tantangan bangsa Indonesia saat ini adalah munculnya gerakan radikalisme dan terorisme yang mengatasnamakan agama dan kemiskinan sebagai dasarnya. Pura Negara Gambur Angalayang merupakan monumen dalam konteks religi, yang menjadi faktor integratif bagi bermacam-macam umat beragama, etnik, dan budaya dalam kehidupan yang bersifat cross cultural di Bali Utara. RESEARCHING MORAL AND CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION IN MALAYSIA: PERSONAL REFLECTIONS ON THE ISSUE OF IMPARTIALITY IN DOING PHILOSOPHICAL RESEARCH ON PLURALISM
AbstractIn the process of conducting a philosophical examination on the conceptualization of pluralism within moral and citizenship education in Malaysia, I was faced with an ethical issue about impartiality. This article considers this issue in the context of my research through my reflections and what I learnt from them about conducting philosophical research on complex and controversial concepts. This article describes issues I faced in my research and the understanding I gained about researching complex and controversial topics in philosophical and other research. It goes on to suggest how addressing this issue in the research process provided an opportunity for myself as a researcher to obtain reflective positioning on the issue of research on such topics. The paper concludes that such positioning provides a reason for researcher to take a more communicative stand when researching topics of a similar nature to obtain a proper understanding of a concept within their research. AbstrakDi dalam proses penelitian filosofis terhadap konseptualisasi pluralisme dalam pendidikan moral dan kewarganegaraan di Malaysia, peneliti dihadapkan pada isu-isu etis tentang imparsialitas. Artikel ini menyoroti isu-isu etis tentang imparsialitas dalam konteks penelitian, melalui refleksi pribadi dan apa yang saya pelajari dari hal-hal itu mengenai pelaksanaan penelitian filosofis dalam konsep yang kompleks dan kontroversial. Artikel ini menjelaskan isu yang saya hadapi di dalam penelitian saya dan pemahaman yang saya dapatkan menyangkut penelitian yang bertopik kompleks dan kontroversial dalam aspek filosofis. Artikel ini menyarankan bagaimana cara menangani masalah-masalah yang berhubungan dengan isu-isu etis tentang imparsialitas melalui proses penelitian sehingga memberi kesempatan untuk mendapatkan posisi reflektif pada isu penelitian tersebut. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa posisi tersebut memberikan alasan bagi peneliti untuk mengambil sikap lebih komunikatif ketika meneliti topik yang serupa guna mendapatkan pemahaman yang tepat.Pengutipan: Abdullah, N. PENGARUH METODE DISCOVERY LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PESERTA DIDIK
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of discovery learning methods on students\u27 critical thinking skills. The study population was all students of class X in SMA Negeri 2 Lembang and the research sample was class X IPS 1 as an experimental class and X IPS 3 as a control class with a total of 38 students each. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental. Data collection techniques used are description tests (pretest and posttest) with data processing techniques validity test, reliability test, difficulty level test, differentiation power test, normality test, homogeneity test, t-test, hypothesis test. Based on the results of this research shows that there is an increase in the critical thinking skills of the experimental class students compared to the control class students in responding to the material presented using the discovery learning method it can be seen from the highest experimental class posttest score of 95 while the highest control class posttest score is 78. Testing Post-test hypothesis (t-test) can be seen that the significant probability value or p-value is 0.019 or smaller than 0.05 or 5%, which means the discovery learning method influences the critical thinking ability of students in SMA N 2 Lembang in class X IPS in economic subjects.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh metode pembelajaran discovery learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X di SMA Negeri 2 Lembang dan sampelnya penelitian yaitu kelas X IPS 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X IPS 3 sebagai kelas control dengan masing-masing jumlah sebanyak 38 siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes uraian (Pretes dan postes) dengan teknik pengolahan data uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji tingkat kesukaran, uji daya pembeda, uji normalitas, uji homogenitan, uji-t, uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitin ini menujukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen dibanding siswa kelas kontrol dalam menanggapi materi yang disampaikan dengan menggunakan metode discovery learning hal ini dapat dilihat dari nilai postest kelas eksperimen tertinggi yaitu 95 sedangkan nilai postest kelas kontrol tertinggi yaitu 78. Pengujian Hipotesis (Uji-t) postest dapat dilihat bahwa nilai probabilitas signifikan atau p-valuenya adalah 0,019 atau lebih kecil dari 0,05 atau 5% yang artinya metode discovery learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didikdi SMA N 2 Lembang pada kelas X IPS pada mata pelajaran ekonomi
PENGARUH METODE PROBLEM POSING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN EKONOMI MATERI PAJAK
This article aims differ to solve student problems in tax material economic subjects using the problem posing method. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Ciwidey, Bandung Regency. The subjects of this study were students of class XI majoring in Social Science. The method to be used is quasi-experimental to find out the treatment effect. The results of the data show the influence of the ability to solve issues by using problem solving methods on tax material. Based on these results, it is recommended that using the method of problem posing to improve students\u27 problem solving abilities.Keywords: problem posing, problem solving ability, economic subjects
ETHNO IPS: INOVASI MATERI PEMBELAJARAN IPS BERBANTUAN UNSUR BUDAYA
The purpose of this study is to review an innovation of social science (IPS) learning material that uses cultural elements. Innovation in learning is useful as a tool used for learning. Therefore, in the field of learning, teachers creativity, especially in the IPS was very important. In this case, the author offers learning IPS used cultural elements of Ethno IPS. Ethno IPS is a merger of social sciences such as sociology, geography, economics and history with cultural elements. REVIEW OF IMPACT OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP EDUCATION ON THE PERFORMANCE OF SMALL, MEDIUM AND MICRO ENTERPRISES (SMMES) IN RURAL SOUTH AFRICA
The future of the economies of various nations across the globe lies in the entrepreneurial trends and activities. Entrepreneurship in this regard is viewed from the activities of Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs). Entrepreneurial activities are also viewed as development driving tool for rural societies. However, necessary skills are needed for such desired goal to be achieved and the education provided by institutions of learning is one by which entrepreneurial expertise can be attained. Conversely, entrepreneurship education is not considered as a major subject receiving due attention in South African institutions of learning. Hence, this study explores the impact of entrepreneurship education on the performance of Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs). Review method was adopted for this study. Thus, relevant literatures were reviewed. The findings of the study amongst others show that relevant skills are needed for entrepreneurial activities to thrive in rural societies and aid the needed development. Also, entrepreneurship education tends to impact entrepreneurial activities. The study therefore recommends amongst others that entrepreneurship education should be promoted in rural based institutions of learning in South Africa taking into cognizance the needs and demands of the communities and its surroundings where the institutions are situated
COGNITIVE APPRENTICESHIP BERBANTUAN VIDEO PADA MATA KULIAH MATEMATIKA EKONOMI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PENALARAN ADAPTIF MAHASISWA
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji apakah terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran adaptif antara mahasiswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan pendekatan cognitive apprenticeship baik yang berbantuan video maupun tidak dan pembelajaran konvensional. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut digunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan the static-group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian yaitu mahasiswa semester empat di Universitas Serang Raya yang mengambil mata kuliah Matematika Ekonomi. Tiga kelas penelitian digunakan sebagai sampel penelitian yang diambil menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Ketiga kelas tersebut yakni kelas eksperimen 1 yang mengimplementasikan pendekatan pembelajaran cognitive apprenticeship berbantuan video, kelas eksperimen 2 yang menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran cognitive apprenticeship dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Hasil uji statistik menunjukkan terjadinya penolakan H0 yang mengindikasikan adanya perbedaan rata-rata capaian dan perbedaan N-Gain kemampuan penalaran adaptif di ketiga kelas. Perbedaan tersebut mengartikan bahwa kemampuan penalaran adaptif di kelas eksperimen cenderung meningkat
Implementasi Penilaian Autentik Pada Pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial Di Madrasah Tsanawiyah
Authentic assessment as a form of assessment in the 2013 curriculum. The object of study is through the implementation of an authentic assessment, the constraints and solutions proposed for each problem. One of the reasons for this gap is the multi-character, multi-understanding factor and the students. Basically, the method of interviewing and observing social studies teachers is called descriptive qualitative research. This study aims to reveal authentic assessments and understand the situation in the field how authentic assessments are carried out. In addition, the potential difficulties encountered during the assessment by the teacher and the solutions determined. The results show that social studies teachers at MTs NU Miftahul Falah Kudus have a perception of authentic assessment that has 3 components, namely knowledge, skills, and attitudes. However, it still has several obstacles, namely the limited skills of teachers in learning variations, lack of enthusiasm of students, material that is difficult to understand, problems in learning media, application of evaluation systems, and limited facilities. Meningkatkan Kualitas Sumber Daya Insani di Lembaga Kuangan Syariah dalam Menghadapi Persaingan Global
Abstract: Today, Islam economic in Indonesia has experienced significant growth. Unfortunately, that growth is not matched with the qualified of human resources. Human resources is one of the problems faced by Islamic financial institutions, especially if linked to the current era of globalization. This article attempt to find a formulation of how to improve human resources in Islamic financial institutions. This research used a qualitative approach with descriptive data collection techniques. The data used in this study were obtained from the literature (book survey) and also from collection of documentation related to this research. This paper shows that there are two methods that can be used to improve the quality of human resources: (1) building a professional human resource management; and (2) establishing a center for education and training, as well as professional certification for prospective employees and workers in Islamic financial institutions. Abstrak: Saat ini, ekonomi syariah di Indonesia telah mengalami perkembangan yang cukup signifikan. Namun sayangnya, perkembangan tersebut tidak diimbangi dengan sumber daya insani yang terkualifikasi. Sumber daya insani merupakan salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh lembaga keuangan syariah, apalagi jika dikaitkan dengan era globalisasi yang sedangan dihadapi. Tulisan ini berusaha untuk mencari suatu formulasi bagaimana meningkatkan sumber daya insani pada lembaga keuangan syariah. Metodelogi yang digunakan pada penulisan makalah ini ialah dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data bersifat deskriptif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil penelusuran secara literatur (book survey), serta pengumpulan dokumentasi yang terkait dengan penelian ini. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa setidaknya ada dua metode yang dapat digunakan dalam meningkatkan kulitas sumber daya insani yaitu: (1) membangun manajeman sumber daya insani yang profesional; dan (2) mendirikan pusat pendidikan dan penelitian, serta sertifikasi profesi bagi calon pekerja dan pekerja lembaga keuangan syariah.Pengutipan: Al Hasan, A. Peranan Moral Quontient Suku Dayak dalam Upaya Pemenuhan Kebutuhan Pokok
Abstract :This article was written to provide an illustration of how the role of moral quotient in Dayak society in order to fulfill basic needs in Bukit Segaloh Village, Kayan Hilir Subdistrict, Sintang Regency, West Kalimantan. Data collection in this research, researcher did the data collection with descriptive qualitative method by interview, observation, documentation and library research. Dayak Society kept the tradition/ ancestral beliefs in life. In an effort to meet the basic needs of the Dayak society embodied the values of the so-called moral intelligence (moral quotient). Moral quotient on the Dayak Society in the Bukit Segaloh village can be seen in order to fulfill basic needs of families through livelihood , the marketing system of agricultural / plantation , and forest products as well as activities in other social communities. Dayak Society’s economic system is essentially still in traditional, that is relies in natures.Abstrak : Artikel ini ditulis untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai bagaimana peranan moral quontientSuku Dayak dalam upaya pemenuhan kebutuhan pokok di Desa Bukit Segaloh Kecamatan Kayan Hilir Kabupaten Sintang Kalimantan Barat. Untuk memperoleh data pada penelitian ini, peneliti melakukan pengumpulan data dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui teknik wawancara, observasi, studi dokumentasi dan studi kepustakaan. Masyarakat Suku Dayak memegang teguh adat istiadat/kepercayaan leluhur dalam kehidupannya. Dalam upaya memenuhi kebutuhan pokok pada masyarakat Suku Dayak terkandung nilai-nilai yang disebut kecerdasan moral (moral quontient). Moral quontient Suku Dayak di Desa Bukit Segaloh tampak pada upaya pemenuhan kebutuhan pokok keluarga melalui mata pencaharian, sistem pemasaran hasil pertanian / perkekebunan, dan hasil hutan serta aktivitas dalam komunitas sosial masyarakat lainnya.
