MODEL KERUKUNAN SOSIAL PADA MASYARAKAT MULTIKULTURAL CINA BENTENG (KAJIAN HISTORIS DAN SOSIOLOGIS)
This study was conducted to gain an overview of the historical and sociological perspective of the model of social harmony in a multicultural society of Cina Benteng, Tangerang. It used descriptive qualitative research method using an inductive approach in conducting the analysis. Data collection techniques mainly emphasize on library research techniques, interview, observation, and documentation. There are two important c onclusions generated in this study. The fi rst, models of social cohesion in a multicultural society of Cina Ben teng has historically formed since their arrival in the watershed Cisedane. Historical process has made Cina Ben teng society has a unique blend, namely their persistence in holding the customs of their ancestors already hundreds of years old, as well as their fl exibility to enable them to carry out the process of amalgamation, assimilation, and acculturation with the local community and culture as well. Second, in a sociological perspective, the model of social harmony in Cina Benteng society is not just happening in the fi eld of art, but also occurs in settle ment patterns, language of communication, traditional wedding procession, traditional clothes, gambang kromong musi c, and cokek dance
PERANAN KEARIFAN LOKAL DALAM PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER
This article aims to examine on a wealth of local wisdom in Indonesia that plays a role in shaping the character education. Local wisdom will only be lasting if local knowledge implemented in concrete everyday life so that they can respond and answer the current times have changed. Local wisdom should also be implemented in state policy, for example by applying economic policy based on mutual cooperation and kinship as one manifestation of our local wisdom. To achieve that, state ideology (Pancasila) should be implemented in a variety of state policy. Thus, local knowledge will effectively function as a weapon-not just heritage-that equip people to respond and answer the current era. Preserving various elements of local wisdom, traditions and local institutions, including the norms and customs that are beneficial, can function effectively in character education, while doing study and enrichment with new wisdoms

In order to obtain data on the concept of multicultural authors conducted a study of literatures. As we know that Indonesia is a country with ethnic diversity but it aspires to the same goal, that is to the wealthy and prosperous society. Therefore, it becomes important to develop multicultural education, which is an educational process that gives equal opportunities to all children including minorities regardless of their differences in ethnicity, culture and religion, to strengthen the unity and integrity, national identity and the nation’s standing in the international world. In this case, the school must design the learning process, preparing curriculum and evaluation design, as well as prepare teachers who have the multicultural perception, attitude and behavior, so that they becomes part of those make a signifi cant contribution to the development of multicultural attitude of the students
NILAI-NILAI KEARIFAN BUDAYA LOKAL ORANG RIMBA (Studi pada Suku Minoritas Rimba di Kecamatan Air Hitam Provinsi Jambi)
This article was written to provide an overview of the values of local wisdom in the culture of Orang Rimba (Jungle People) in Black Water District Sarolangun Jambi Province. To obtain the data in question, the author conducted research by coducting interview, observation and study of literature. Orang Rimba have lifestyles and beliefs that are unique and different from the life of modern society. They looked at the forest as their residence. One belief of Orang Rimba is if there are people who died at their residence, then it is considered as an area harmful and they have to find a new place. This habit is called ”Melangun”. This belief is the main factor that affect the Orang Rimba not settled. Orang Rimba tribe regarded as backward, primitive and easily manipulated. However, if studied carrefully, Orang Rimba have so much values for us to learn, especially in their behavior with regards to natural preservation
URGENSI KURIKULUM PENDIDIKAN KEBENCANAAN BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL DI INDONESIA
This article was written to give an idea of the urgency of disaster education curriculum based on local wisdom in Indonesia. For that purpose, the author uses the method of literature. As a country which has enormous potential for disaster, Indonesia needs to implement a disaster curriculum in educational institutions so that students have the knowledge and insight about the disaster. This disaster education have a common goal to provide an overview and reference in the learning process of disaster preparedness. Through education students are expected to be able to think and act fast, precise, and accurate in the face of disaster. Empathy toward victims can also be constructed so that learners can help others appropriately and carefully. Pattern and diversity of natural disasters faced also vary because each region has different characteristics as well. Then, disaster curriculum should accommodate local wisdom, as an effort to provide appropriate education to deal simultaneously with a disaster. Curriculum based on local wisdom will explain the relationship between humans and the natural environment and cultural environment around them
VIDEO GAME SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN SEJARAH (Suatu Alternatif dalam Menyelenggarakan Pembelajaran Sejarah)
This article describes an alternative teaching history, namely through the application of learning media in the history of video games. Education history is a lesson that can be used as a vehicle for the formation of character among the younger generation, among others by promoting the values of patriotism, nationalism civic, virtues, and human values. However, today the teaching of history has not gone well as expected. Learning history is often monotonous and boring for students. In this case, the video game is an alternative to get out of problems in learning the history. Video games are popular entertainment media in the lives of children that can be used as a medium of teaching history in a creative, fun, and effective way
