    PENDIDIKAN ISLAM SEBAGAI SALURAN MOBILITAS SOSIAL

    This article is an attempt by the author to observe the phenomenon of social mobility as the effect of Islamic education which is carried out so far. For this purpose the authors conduct a conceptual study on the development of education in the perspective of sociology, with the Qur\u27an as the foundation of the development of Islamic education as intended. Social mobility is essentially a movement of a person or group of people, both vertical and horizontal, to be an important point discussed in this article. In this case, there are at least three important roles that Islamic education carries. First, Islamic education as the foundation for social mobility. Secondly, Islamic education as a foundation for social stratification changes. Third, Islamic education as a channel for the movement of social mobility

    This research discusses students’ perceptions of the function of Karangsong mangrove forest as a geography learning resource. The students’ perception about the presence of Karangsong mangrove forest as a learning resource is necessary because of the better the students\u27 perceptions of the learning resources used, the more likely the students will get good learning outcomes. This research aims to describe how the students’ perception of the presence of Karangsong mangrove forest as a geography learning resource.This research used quantitative method with descriptive analysis. The population in this research is students of XI class of SMAN 2 Indramayu. The technique of data sampling used in this research is cluster sampling. The selected sample is based on a class with the highest score than the other class, the sample is XI IPS class which consists of 33 students. The instruments used in this research are observation, questionnaire, and documentation. To know the students’ perception, the researcher distributed the questionnaires to the students before and after the learning process in Karangsong mangrove forest.The result of the analysis shows that before the students do the learning process in Karangsong mangrove forest, the average score of the questionnaire belongs to adequate score with a percentage of 60.7%. Yet, after the students do the learning process in Karangsong mangrove forest, the average score of the questionnaire belongs in an excellent category with a percentage of 92.4%. Therefore, based on the calculation with N-Gain, it shows the average of N-Gain in the amount of 0.8% and it belongs to the high category of n-gain. In conclusion, after doing the learning process in karangsong mangrove forest, the students’ perception of the function of Karangsong mangrove forest as a geography learning resource is excellent

    PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STRUCTURE NUMBERED HEADS PADA MATA PELAJARAN GEOGRAFI

    Abstract The purpose of this research is to: (1) increase the learning motivation of learners by using Structure Numbered Heads learning method, and (2) to describe the improvement of learning motivation of learners through Structure Numbered Heads learning method. The method used is Classroom Action Research which refers to the model developed by Kemmis and Taggart, this study was conducted in two cycles. One cycle is done as much as two actions. Thus the entire Classroom Action Research was conducted in 4 actions. Data collection techniques are done through observation and documentation. The result of the research shows that learning done with cooperative learning model type Structure Numbered Heads can improve learners motivation. The first action shows the "low" category, the second action shows the "enough" category and the "good" category, while the fourth action shows the "good" category. Increases that occur can not be separated from the use of Structure Numbered Heads method combined with some learning techniques.  Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Structure Numbered Heads, dan (2) mendeskripsikan peningkatan motivasi belajar peserta didik melalui metode pembelajaran Structure Numbered Heads. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang mengacu pada model yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan Taggart, penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Satu siklus dilakukan sebanyak dua tindakan. Dengan demikian keseluruhan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilakukan sebanyak 4 tindakan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran yang dilakukan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Structure Numbered Heads dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Tindakan pertama menunjukkan kategori “rendah”, tindakan kedua menunjukkan kategori “cukup” dan tindakan kategori “baik,” sementara tindakan keempat menunjukkan “kategori “baik”. Peningkatan yang terjadi tidak lepas dari penggunaan metode Structure Numbered Heads yang dipadukan dengan beberapa teknik pembelajaran. Pengutipan: Hidayat, Miftah. (2017).     Abstract The purpose of this study, is to reveal the perception of pilgrims to the tomb of Shekh Syarif Hidayatullah (Sunan Gunung Jati) in Cirebon. Through the perception of the pilgrims are expected to be known the myth of Shekh Syarif Hidayatullah (Sunan Gunung Jati) that developed in the midst of modern society. This paper also aims to reveal the reasons and motivation of the community in a pilgrimage to the Tomb of Shekh Syarif Hidayatullah (Sunan Gunung Jati). This research uses qualitative research method. The results showed that the reason of the pilgrim community to the tomb of Shekh Syarif Hidayatullah (Sunan Gunung Jati) because the big name Syekh Syarif Hidayatullah in spreading Islam in the area of ​​West Java. Motivation of pilgrims in the tomb of Shekh Syarif Hidayatullah is distinguished in several groups. First, pilgrimage with the intention of just pilgrimage. Secondly, pilgrimage for wanting to gain blessings. Third, make a pilgrimage because want to get ease in obtaining rizki. Fourth, pilgrimage for wanting to get easiness in obtaining matchmaking. Fifth, make pilgrimage to get job and position.   Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini, adalah mengungkapkan persepsi peziarah terhadap makam Syekh Syarif Hidayatullah (Sunan Gunung Jati) di Cirebon. Melalui persepsi peziarah tersebut diharapkan dapat diketahui mitos tentang Syekh Syarif Hidayatullah (Sunan Gunung Jati) yang berkembang di tengah masyarakat modern. Tulisan ini juga bertujuan untuk mengungkap alasan dan motivasi masyarakat dalam berziarah ke Makam Syekh Syarif Hidayatullah (Sunan Gunung Jati). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alasan masyarakat berziarah ke makam Syekh Syarif Hidayatullah (Sunan Gunung Jati) karena nama besar Syekh Syarif Hidayatullah dalam menyebarkan Agama Islam di wilayah Jawa Barat. Motivasi peziarah di makam Syekh Syarif Hidayatullah dibedakan dalam beberapa kelompok. Pertama, berziarah dengan niat hanya berziarah. Kedua, berziarah karena ingin memperoleh keberkahan. Ketiga, berziarah karena ingin mendapatkan kemudahan dalam memperoleh rizki. Keempat, berziarah karena ingin memperoleh  kemudahan dalam memperoleh Jodoh.     PENGARUH KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL DAN MODAL SOSIAL TERHADAP KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPS

    The study aims to measure and analyze the influence of emotional intelligence and social capital towards self-regulated learning. This study used a quantitative approach and survey method. The samples are 400 students from 16 Junior High Schools grade 8th in West Bandung regency. The research used stratified random sampling. The results showed that emotional intelligence and social capital positive and significant impact on student’ self regulated learning. The influence of emotional intelligence was 0,447, or 20% toward self regulated learning, while the remaining (80%) was influenced by other factors. The influence of social capital was 0.232 or 5.4%, toward self regulated learning, while the remaining (94.6%) was influenced by other factors. Simultaneously, the emotional intelligence and social capital influenced 33.2% toward self regulated learning and the remaining (66.8%) was influenced by other factors. In this study the variables of emotional intelligence has the most impact on self regulated learning. The implication showed that the student’s self regulated learning could be enhanced by increasing the students’ emotional intelligence and social capital

    IMPLEMENTASI KEBIJAKAN SEKOLAH BERWAWASAN LINGKUNGAN SEBAGAI UPAYA MENGEMBANGKAN LITERASI EKOLOGIS PESERTA DIDIK

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah pengaruh kebijakan sekolah berwawasan lingkungan terhadap literasi ekologis peserta didik. Untuk maksud tersebut, penulis menggunakan metode survey yang dilaksanakan pada sepuluh sekolah yang telah mengikuti Program Adiwiyata di Kota Banda Aceh melalui analisis Korelasi Kendall’s Tau. Hasil uji korelasi antara variabel kebijakan sekolah berwawasan lingkungan dengan variabel literasi ekologis, diperoleh koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,660 (R2 = 0,435) pada taraf signifikan (probabilitas) 0,010. Didasarkan kriteria yang digunakan, maka signifikansi hitung sebesar 0,010 < 0,05; maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Artinya terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan kebijakan sekolah berwawasan lingkungan terhadap literasi ekologis peserta didik. Besarnya pengaruh kebijakan sekolah berwawasan lingkungan terhadap literasi ekologis peserta didik adalah (0,660)2 = 43,5 %. Artinya sebesar 43,5 % literasi ekologis peserta didik dipengaruhi oleh kebijakan sekolah berwawasan lingkungan, sisanya 56,5 % dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Karena itu berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pengujian ini, maka hipotesis yang diajukan dapat diterima. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini maka kebijakan sekolah berupa visi, misi dan tujuan sekolah sangat penting untuk disosialisasikan secara masif agar visi, misi dan tujuan sekolah dapat diketahui dan dipahami oleh seluruh warga sekolah

    Permasalahan lingkungan hidup menjadi salah satu permasalahan yang urgen untuk diatasi mengingat permasalahan lingkungan ini memunculkan ketimpangan keruangan. Salah satu upaya preventif untuk mengatasi ketimpangan keruangan adalah melalui pembelajaran yang menumbuhkan kesadaran akan pentingnya lingkungan hidup. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan tentang ecoliteracy dalam konteks pendidikan IPS. Ecoliteracy menggambarkan kesadaran tentang pentingnya lingkungan hidup. Taraf ecoliteracy merupakan sebuah capaian di mana seseorang yang sudah sangat menyadari betapa pentingnya lingkungan hidup, pentingnya menjaga dan merawat bumi, ekosistem, alam sebagai tempat tinggal dan berkembangnya kehidupan. Kajian IPS melibatkan berbagai disiplin ilmu, baik di dalam maupun di luar disiplin ilmu-ilmu sosial, untuk membentuk kemampuan sosial. Salah satu kemampuan sosial berkaitan dengan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Guru IPS memegang peran penting untuk literasi peserta didiknya. Guru IPS yang memiliki literasi baik diharapkan mampu menanamkan literasi ekologis kepada peserta didiknya

    PEMETAAN KERAWANAN TSUNAMI DI KECAMATAN PELABUHANRATU KABUPATEN SUKABUMI

    Pelabuhanratu sub-district located in the southern part of West Java has the tsunami disaster vulnerability is high, because the South region of West Java directly adjacent to the zone plate’s movement and in the Indian Ocean. So that this region is very vulnerable to an earthquake that occurred under the sea, earthquake phenomenon is largely a high potential for the occurrence of the tsunami disaster. This article will explain the vulnerability of the tsunami in the District Pelabuhanratu, through the application of GIS and field survey which will be known the factors causing the high value of the vulnerability, the potential damage, and tsunami evacuation locations in District Pelabuhanratu. Subdistrict Pelabuhanratu indicate that value or category of vulnerability tsunami in the District Pelabuhanratu dominated by the 46% category Rawan, Rawan Enough 19% and 17% Highly Prone.     ARAHAN DAN MANAJEMEN PENGANGKUTAN SAMPAH DI KECAMATAN PONDOK GEDE KOTA BEKASI

    Garbage in Indonesia is still a difficult problem to solve, this occurs due to the amount of litter were increasingly grow in line with population growth. Sub Pondok Gede Bekasi City is located on the border with East Jakarta, has a large population growth is 3.48% / year this led to increasingly dense population density, which affects the volume of waste produced by the population every day. Based on the analysis, it is known that the volume of waste generated in the district population Pondok Gede in 2010 with a population of 235 579 inhabitants is 188 464 M3. After the projected population in 2025 will amount to be 358 551 inhabitants and the volume of waste would be increased to 322 696 M3. Direction and management of solid waste transportation is done by determining the number of polling stations and the number of trucks needed for all the rubbish served and can be transported. Based on the results of the analysis of the number of trucks required range of 2010 to 2005 ranged from 7 trucks to 11 trucks, TPS (temporary location) needed in 2010 was 524 units and in 2025 increased to 897unit. Permalink/DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.15408/sd.v2i1.1410

    Climate change is happening today is a necessity that we should not ignore. No other indicator is the increasing temperature of the Earth from 1860 until today, and rising sea levels. The main trigger is the increasing concentration of green house effect (GHE) emissions, particularly carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere. This is caused by the increasing human activity as well, such as industrial activities, the use of motor vehicles, and rampant illegal logging. If left unchecked it will have an impact in the form of threats to human life in all areas. Therefore we need a comprehensive knowledge in studying the phenomenon of climate change systematically. Such knowledge is nothing else can be obtained through a given geography learning in educational institutions.
