The Eye of the Philosopher versus Optical Unknown

    No full text
This paper discusses the (in)visibility of capitalism from the viewpoint of a phenomenology of economics. The metaphor of blindness serves as a key to the meaning of Marxian phenomenology. This metaphor also allows us to shed a new light on the critique of ideology. The author analyzes the tension between appearance and essence, the difference between theory and practice, the possibility of resistance, the phenomenality of the commodity and the typology of blindness.Zbornik je dostupan na adresi: [http://rifdt.instifdt.bg.ac.rs/123456789/1463

Copper Grounds: Melting Point of the City of Bor, Serbia

    No full text
Abstract: This paper will question the condition of transforming and deforming of the city, both in spatial terms and in relation to duration, arguing that such transformations are layered, synthetical and, above all, not linear but elastic (reversible). It addresses two relating issues: the space of a city and the space of a motion picture. The cityscape of Bor will be discussed through recent films - Tilva Roš (The Red Hill; 2010), Beli, beli svet (White, White World; 2010) and a documentary Beli, beli Bor (White, White Pine; 2011) - depicting a particular social and physical reality within different forms of urban life. The movies are taken as case studies for establishing theoretical ground for architectural position. They offer a defined visual and philosophical interpretation of the openness of the ground: the perception of protagonists with a shifted relation towards space and time anticipating the possibilities in the social, economic and physical constraints of declining industrial and urban landscape of the settlement of Bor. The paper will be structured through three parallel topics: Scenography of shrinking, Filters of the ground and Elasticity of urban life

Estetsko rođenje samooslobođene subjektivnosti : Hegelova trostruka teorija klasične komedije

    No full text

The „Pussy Riot“ Case and the Post-Secular Hybrids

    No full text
The article is devoted to the analysis of the “Pussy riot” case and the peculiarities of Russian postsecularism. Special emphasis is placed on the phenomenon of post-secular hybrids, i.e. the overcoming of the situation of social differentiation between religion and other social subsystems (one of the main distinctive features of secularization). It is claimed that the materials of the trial against “Pussy riot” make evident the appearance in Russia of at least three post-secular hybrids: 1) the blending of religion and politics; 2) installation of religious norms into the public order of the secular state; 3) significance of confessional legal experts as part of the new “ideological state apparatus”

The Institution of group and genocidal acts

    No full text
This critique is focused on a small theory regarding the constituting of a group through the simultaneous exclusion of some other group. Is it possible, then, to produce social and nonsocial acts (negative social acts) at the same time? Or is it possible to construct a group which acts ‘genocidally’, meaning that it destroys another group or “the groupness” of a group, and at the same time affirm its own unity and its ontological stability? (I have used the word ‘institution’ in the title, since we are dealing with a group that is lasting, and not temporary.) Finally, does this thematization of the group through intergroup antagonism have anything to do with Lemkin’s word genocide’
