    STUDI KAPAL KECIL DENGAN TENAGA PENGGERAK LISTRIK UNTUK PENGAWASAN KAWASAN KONSERVASI SUNGAI DAN MUARA

    Penelitian ini berawal dari permintaan penggiat konservasi sungai di Sidoarjo untuk dibuatkan desain kapal kecil yang cukup dua orang. Permintaan khusus yang diinginkan adalah kapal tidak menimbulkan suara bising yang bisa menyebabkan burung-burung dan satwa lainnya terganggu dan kabur ketika kapal yang sedang melakukan pengawasan melewati suangai. Sebagai solusinya, kapal kecil di desain dengan tenaga penggerak listrik yang dihasilkan oleh cell baterai. Permasalahan utama yang akan di kaji adalah seberapa besar baterai dan kapal sehingga kapal dapat melaju dengan kecepatan yang mencukupi dan baterai cukup untuk melakukan operasi pengawasan berangkat sampai pulang ke dermaga. Metode yang digunakan dalam studi ini adalah kapal pembanding dan spiral design, suatu metode desain kapal yang diawali dari penentuan ukuran utama kapal, pembentukan lambung, perhitungan berat, stabilitas, tahanan, sistem permesinan, perhitungan biaya dan seterusnya sampai di dapatkan desain yang optimum, jika salah satu tahap mengalami kegagalan, maka akan diulang dari tahap awal lagi. Desain kapal yang dihasilkan adalah kapal kecil dengan panjang 3 meter, lebar 1 meter, tinggi 50 cm dengan kapasitas penumpang 2 orang. Tenaga penggerak utama adalah baterai 1,2 kW untuk mencapai kecepatan minimal kapal 5 knot. Perhitungan stabilitas menunjukkan hasil yang cukup baik dengan titik hilang stabilitas kapal sekitar 35o .AbstractThis research originated from the request of river activists in Sidoarjo to design a small boat with two people. Special requests suggested by the ship do not cause noise that can cause disturbed birds and wildlife and escape from the ship carrying surveillance over the river. As a solution, small vessels are designed with electric propulsion generated by battery cells. The main problem that will be examined is the large battery and the ship needed by a ship that can drive at sufficient speed and enough battery to carry out surveillance operations until it returns to the dock. The method used in this studio is a comparison vessel and spiral design, a ship design method that starts from the main ship size, hull formation, weight calculation, toughness, resistance, machining system, cost calculation and completion to achieve an optimal design, if wrong one failed to be repaired, it will be repeated from the beginning again. The design of the ship produced is a small boat with a length of 3 meters, a width of 1 meter, a height of 50 cm with a capacity of 2 people.     SEASONAL AND INTRA-SEASONAL VARIABILITY OF SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURE IN PARI ISLAND-JAKARTA, INDONESIA

    Sea Surface Temperatures (SSTs) is one of the most important oceanographic parameter that could affect the marine life, especially coastal ecosystem. SSTs data varies in hourly, daily, seasonal, annual, inter-annual, and even in longer time scales. This condition makes any studies using instantaneous measurement could turn into misleading report due to the lack of time series SSTs data. Thus, the aim of this study is to understand the seasonal and intra-seasonal SSTs dynamics in Pari Island using continuous measurement from temperature logger. This study found that the double peaks of SSTs in May and November are correspond to the period of transitional monsoon. Conversely, the two minimum SSTs in February and August were correspond to the peak of northwest monsoon and southeast monsoon respectively. In addition to seasonal pattern, the slightly dominant intra-seasonal variability of SSTs was found in the period of 57 and 86 days. Those predominant signals suggested represent the Madden-Julian Oscillation phenomena

    Sia-sia memiliki bentuk menyerupai cacing, merupakan organisme yang hidup meliang di daerah pesisir terutama di sekitar area padang lamun, mangrove dan terumbu karang serta cenderung mendiami dasar perairan terlebih khusus di dalam substrat sehingga dikategorikan sebagai organisme bentik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk 1) menganalisis teknik dan pola penangkapan sia-sia, 2) mengkaji cara pemanfaatan sia-sia, dan 3) menganalisis kandungan nutrisi sia-sia. Metode penelitian terbagi dua yaitu: pengambilan sampel lapangan berupa : penyebaran kuisioner, wawancara dan pengamatan sedangkan kegiatan non lapangan yaitu pengujian laboratorium berupa analisa : kadar air, protein, lemak, abu, karbohidrat, mineral Calsium (Ca), Phosfor (P) dan Iodium (I2).Hasil penelitian menunjukan teknik penangkapan sia-sia tergolong unik dan memerlukan ketrampilan tersendiri. Penangkapan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat setempat terhadap sia-sia masih sangat terkendali sehingga jumlah sia-sia cukup melimpah dan habitatnya juga terlihat dalam keadaan baik. Namun disisi lain, masyarakat belum mampu memanfaatkannya untuk diproduksi untuk bernilai ekonomis. Kandungan nutrisi Sipuncula di Pulau Nusalaut, berbeda menurut lokasi, tetapi  memiliki komposisi yang lengkap dengan kisaran kadar air berkisar antara 74,96-79,12%, protein 16,88-17,23%, lemak 0,22-0,28%, karbohidrat 1,03-3,86%, abu 2,41-3,06%, Calsium 6,16-12,42%, Fosfor 0,98-1,09%, Iodium 5,93-6,65%.     Penelitian dengan judul “Analisis Kelembagaan Dan Pengelolaan Tempat Pelelangan Ikan (TPI) Untuk Peningkatan Kesejahteraan Nelayan di Wilayah TPI Tegalsari, Kota Tegal, Jawa Tengah” bertujuan untuk mengetahui sistem kelembagaan Tempat Pelelangan Ikan (TPI) dan strategi pengelolaan Tempat Pelelangan Ikan (TPI) Tegalsari Kota Tegal berdasarkan fungsi kelembagaannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey yang dilakukan dengan observasi dan wawancara. Data yang digunakan merupakan data primer dan data sekunder yang selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem kelembagaan dan pengelolaan di TPI Tegalsari sudah berjalan dengan baik, dilihat dari kinerja pengelola TPI serta sistem pelelangan yang berjalan dengan lancar sesuai dengan peraturan yang berlaku. Strategi pengelolaan TPI Tegalsari yang optimal adalah dengan memperbaiki sistem operasional yang ada di TPI tersebut salah satunya adalah fasilitas air bersih serta akses permodalan bagi nelayan setempat.Kata kunci: Tempat Pelelangan Ikan, Sistem Kelembagaan, Strategi Pengelolaan, Analisis SWOTINSTITUTIONAL AND MANAGEMENT ANALYSIS OF THE AUCTION FISH PLACE (AFP) FOR IMPROVING FISHERMEN’S WELFARE IN TEGALSARI AFP, TEGAL CITY, CENTRAL JAVAABSTRACT“Institutional and Management Analysis of The Auction Fish Place (AFP) for Improving Fishermen’s Welfare in Tegalsari AFP, Tegal City, Central Java” research aimed to find out the institutional system of Auction Fish Place (AFP) and Evaluation Strategy of Auction Fish Place (AFP) Tegalsari based on its institutional function. This research uses survey method which done by observation and interview. The data used are primary data and secondary data which then analyzed descriptively by using SWOT analysis. The result showed that the institutional and management system in Tegalsari AFP has been running well, from the performance of AFP managers and the tender system that runs smoothly in accordance with applicable regulations.     Penemuan sumber bahan bakar terbarukan sangat penting untuk menjawab permasalahan keterbatasan energi bahan bakar berbasis fosil dalam memenuhi kebutuhan energi yang terus meningkat. Selain itu, penggunaan bahan bakar terbarukan diharapkan dapat mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan yang selama ini bersumber dari emisi gas CO2 hasil pembakaran bahan bakar fosil. Salah satu sumber bahan bakar alternatif terbarukan masa depan adalah mikroalga. Pengembangan mikroalga sebagai sumber energi terbarukan terus dilakukan karena memiliki keuntungan dibandingkan sumber energi lainnya, seperti laju produksi biomassa yang tinggi, tidak berkompetisi dengan bahan pangan, serta tidak membutuhkan lahan yang luas untuk pertumbuhannya. Technical review ini diarahkan untuk memberikan informasi tentang pengembangan dan pemanfaatan mikroalga sebagai sumber energi akternatif terbarukan, termasuk teknologi panen dan korvesi mikroalga menjadi bahan bakar.MICROALGAE: FUTURE RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES ABSTRACTThe discovery of renewable fuel sources is critical to address the problem of limited fossil fuel energy in meeting the increasing energy demand.     One of the regions in Surabaya which has accumulated the largest pollution levels was the region of Wonorejo. Wonorejo is an area that is used as a mangrove conservation. But, Pb and Cu are heavy metals that have been detected in high concentration in this region. Avicennia alba has been known to have the ability to absorb heavy metals so that mangrove can be used us phytoremediation agent. The purposes of this research were to analyze the concentration of heavy metals (Pb and Cu) in sediments, roots and leaves of Avicennia alba;  to understand the potential of Avicennia alba as an agent of phytoremediation. The result showed that Cu concentration was higher than Pb concentration in sediment, roots and leaves. The concentrations  of Cu were 4.13 ppm - 36.95 ppm and Pb between 3.28 ppm - 23.79 ppm. Based on bioconcentration factor (BCF) Avicennia alba was categorize as excluder (BCF1)  of both heavy metals, but concentration of translocation factor (TF) of Pb was categorized phytoexstraction (TF1) and Cu was categorized phytostabilization (TF1).     Mata pencaharian wilayah pesisir masyarakat Indonesia sebagai besar nelayan, memerlukan kapal dan peralatan penangkap ikan yang cukup memadai. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan pengembangan teknologi metode pelaksanaan pembangunan pada kapal penangkap ikan yang murah, terukur dan modern. Sehingga dikembangkan kapal penangkap ikan dengan kapasitas 30 GT dengan bahan fiberglass yang dapat dikembangkan dalam proses fabrikasi dengan teknik fabrikasi yang terencana. Dalam proses pembangunan bahan fiberglass memiliki kemudahan dalam proses pembentukan lambung dan proses penyambungan bagian-bagian kapal penangkap ikan yang akan dikembangkan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pembangunan kapal akan mengacu kepada system dan prosedur tata laksana pembangunan fisik kapal fiberglass, sesuai dengan struktur konstruksi maupun laminate schedule fibreglass yang dikerjakan secara seksama sehingga glass content mencapai kisaran 30-35%, sesuai dengan standard marine.ABSTRACTThe livelihoods of the coastal areas of the Indonesian people as large fishermen need adequate fishing vessels and fishing equipment. For this reason, it is necessary to develop technology for the implementation of development methods on cheap, measurable and modern fishing vessels. So that a fishing vessel with a capacity of 30 GT was developed with fiberglass material that could be developed in the fabrication process with planned fabrication techniques. In the process of building fiberglass material has the ease of the process of forming the hull and the process of connecting parts of the fishing vessel to be developed.     Terumbu karang memiliki fungsi yang sangat penting didalam menunjang aktivitas di wilayah pesisir. Keberadan terumbu karang di alam saat ini mulai mengalami kerusakan, karusakan yang terjadi bersumber dari beberapa faktor diantaranya faktor antropogenik dan faktor alam. Kerusakan yang di timbulkan dari faktor alam diantaranya oleh pemangsaan beberapa spesies, proses bioerosi dan proses kompetitor. Kompetitor merupakan suatu organisme yang dapat mengangu keseimbangan hidup organisme lainya. Penelitin mengenai kompetitor terumbu karang dilakukan dengan metode transek kuadran dan reef check megabenthos yang dilakukan di dua stasiun penelitian yang telah ditentukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa organisme kompetitor terumbu karang di perairan Pantai Putri Menjangan diantaranya adalah makro alaga, crown of thorns fish dan drupella.IDENTIFICATION OF CORAL REEF COMPETITORS ORGANISM IN PUTRI MENJANGAN WATERS, BULELENG, BALIABSTRACTCoral reef have very important function for supporting activity in coastal areas. Recently the existence of coral has been degraded and faced threat from bath of antropogenics and natural factor. Predation, bioerosion and competitor among sessil organism has been to be the most lichtiest problem that really direct impact on coral reef. Data has been take by using of quadrant transect and reef check megabenthos metod in two research stations.
