MIKROPLASTIK PADA BULU BABI DARI RATAAN TERUMBU PULAU GILI LABAK SUMENEP
ABSTRACTMikroplastic is a fragment of plastic that have size less than 5 mm. Microplastic mainly came from plactic debris as the result of degradation. The research about mikroplastic on sea urchine, water and sedimen had been done on Gili Labak Island Waters, Sumenep Regency, East Java. The purpose of this research is to know the amount, weight, and the type of microplastic on Gili Labak Island Waters and the correlation between each type of samples. The method that were used are random sampling and then laboratorium analyse. The part that had been tested on sea urchin are the gut which then add with KOH 10% as much as three times the sample weigh. The sample tha net using paper net for 100 sea water. For sedimen taken 50gr and added with NaCl as much as three times the weigh of the sample. The result from the netting than observe on stereo microscope to determine the type and the amount and then weighted on analytical scale. The result that obtained are the amount of microplastic on water are 189 particles with weight of 0,656gr, on sediment obtain 130 particle with weight of 0,0402gr and on sea urchin obtained 155 particle with weight of 0,0757gr. The types of microplastic that had been found are fragment, fiber, microfiber and film. From the anova test it happened to be know the signivicance value of both sample are above 0,05 which showed the difference between microplastic on each sample.Key words: Gili Labak, Bulu Babi, mikroplastikABSTRAKMikroplastik merupakan potongan plastik yang memiliki ukuran kuranag dari 5 mm. Mikroplastik sendiri umumnya berasal dari sampah plastik yang mengalami degradasi.. Penelitian terhadap mikroplastik pada bulu babi, air dan sedimen di dilakukan di Perairan Pulau Gili Labak, Kabupaten Sumenep, Jawa Timur. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jumlah, berat dan jenis mikroplastik yang ada di perarian di Pulau Gili Labak dan hubungan antara mikroplastik pada masing-masing jenis sampel. Metode yang digunakan dalam mengambil sampel adalah random sampling, kemudian dilakukan analisa laboratorium. Pada bulu babi yang dianalisa adalah bagian sistem pencernaan yang kemudian ditambahkan KOH 10% sebanyak 3x berat sampel. Pada sampel air dilakukan penyaringan secara langung dengan kertas saring terhadap 100ml air laut. Untuk sedimen diambil sebanyak 50gr dan ditambahkan NaCl pekat sebanyak 3xberat sampel. Hasil penyaringan kemudian diamati pada mikroskop stereo untuk menentukan jenis dan jumlah kemudian ditimbang di neraca analitik. Hasil yang didapat adalah total mikroplastik pada air berjumlah 189 partikel dengan berat 0,646gr, pada sedimen 130 partikel dengan berat 0,0402gr dan pada bulu babi 155 partikel dengan berat 0,0757gr. Jenis mikroplastik yang ditemukan adalah fragmen, film, fiber dan mikro fiber. Dari hasil uji anova kemudian diketahui nilai significance terhadap masing-masing sampel lebih dari 0,05 yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan antara jumlah mikroplastik pada masing-masing sampel.Kata kunci: Gili Labak, Sea Urchin, Microplastc
INVENTARISASI SPESIES BINTANG MENGULAR (Ophiuroidea) DI PANTAI BILIK, TAMAN NASIONAL BALURAN, JAWA TIMUR
ABSTRACT The Brittle stars is a member of the Phylum Echinodermata that lives in habitats in the intertidal, subtidal, and deep sea zones. Brittle stars can be found in areas of coral reefs, sand, seagrass, macroalgae (seaweed), and dead coral fragments. One of the many intertidal areas of the habitat is in the Baluran National Park Bilik Beach. Ophiuroidea is important to be studied in the conservation area, Baluran National Park, because it is a natural conservation area that has native ecosystems and is managed with a zoning system and utilized for natural tourism, research, science and education purposes. This study aims to determine the type of brittle stars found on the Baluran National Park. The method used in this research is descriptive method with road sampling technique in the Bilik Beach area. The brittle stars species found and described are 8 species, namely Ophiomastix annulosa, Ophiocoma scolopendrina, Ophiocoma brevipes, Ophioplocus imbricatus, Ophiolepis cardioplax, Ophiolepis superba, Ophiarachna parvispina, and Macrophiothrix longipeda. Keywords: Baluran National Park, Brittle stars.ABSTRAKBintang mengular merupakan anggota dari filum Echinodermata yang hidup pada habitat di zona intertidal, subtidal, dan laut dalam. Bintang mengular dapat ditemukan di area terumbu karang, pasir, lamun (seagrass), makroalga (seaweed), dan pecahan karang mati. Salah satu wilayah intertidal yang banyak terdapat habitat tersebut adalah di Pantai Bilik Taman Nasional Baluran. Ophiuroidea menjadi penting untuk dikaji di area konservasi yaitu Taman Nasional Baluran, karena merupakan kawasan pelestarian alam yang mempunyai ekosistem asli dan dikelola dengan sistem zonasi serta dimanfaatkan untuk tujuan pariwisata alam, penelitian, ilmu pengetahuan, dan pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis bintang mengular yang terdapat di Pantai TN Baluran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik road sampling di area Pantai Bilik. Spesies bintang mengular yang ditemukan dan dideskripsikan sebanyak 8 spesies, yaitu Ophiomastix annulosa, Ophiocoma scolopendrina, Ophiocoma brevipes, Ophioplocus imbricatus, Ophiolepis cardioplax, Ophiolepis superba, Ophiarachna parvispina, dan Macrophiothrix longipeda.Kata Kunci: Bintang mengular, Taman Nasional Balura
KANDUNGAN LOGAM BERAT Pb PADA AIR LAUT, SEDIMEN DAN DAGING KERANG LORJUK (Solen sp.) DI PANTAI MADURA
ABSTRACTThe accumulation of the heavy metal lead (Pb) into the shells can be through the food network or contact with the environment. This study aims to determine the content of heavy metal Pb in water, sediment and Bamboo Scallops meat (Solen sp.). This research was conducted in March - May 2019 on the beaches of Kwanyar Bangkalan and Talang Siring Pamekasan, Madura. The content of heavy metal Pb in water, sediment and Bamboo Scallops (Solen sp.) Samples was analyzed using the Atomic Absorption Spectro-photometer (AAS) method. In the aquatic environment, water quality measurements are carried out including salinity, temperature, pH and current. The results showed that the concentration of heavy metal Pb in the water at Kwanyar Beach was not measured, and at Talang Siring Beach was 0.13 ml / l in March, 0.10 mg / l in April and not measured in May. The Pb content in sediment at Kwanyar Beach in March was 51.04 mg / kg, April 6.11 mg / kg and 9.78 mg / kg in May, and at Talang Siring Beach in March was 72.05 mg / kg, April 3.73 mg / kg and May 2.50 mg / kg. Pb content in Bamboo Scallops meat was not measured at both beaches during the observation. The results showed that the heavy metal Pb in Bamboo Scallops meat was still below the quality standard and safe for consumption.Key words: Heavy metal Pb, Lorjuk, Solen sp. Madura BeachABSTRAKAkumulasi logam berat Timbal (Pb) ke dalam tubuh kerang dapat melalui jaringan makanan atau kontak dengan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan logam berat Pb pada air, sedimen dan daging kerang bambu (Solen sp.). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Maret – Mei 2019 di pantai Kwanyar Bangkalan dan Talang Siring Pamekasan, Madura. Kandungan logam berat Pb pada sampel air, sedimen dan kerang bambu (Solen sp.) dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode Atomic Absorption Spectro-photometer (AAS). Pada lingkungan perairan dilakukan pengukuran kualitas air meliputi salinitas, suhu, pH dan arus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi logam berat Pb pada air di Pantai Kwanyar tidak terukur, dan di Pantai Talang Siring sebesar 0,13 ml/l pada bulan Maret, 0,10 mg/l pada bulan April dan tidak terukur pada bulan Mei. Kadar Pb pada sedimen di Pantai Kwanyar bulan Maret sebesar 51,04 mg/kg, April 6,11 mg/kg dan Mei 9,78 mg/kg, dan di Pantai Talang Siring pada bulan Maret sebesar 72,05 mg/kg, April 3,73 mg/kg dan Mei 2,50 mg/kg. Kadar Pb di daging kerang bambu tidak terukur di kedua pantai selama pengamatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan logam berat Pb pada daging kerang bambu masih dibawah batas baku mutu dan aman dikonsumsi.Kata kunci: Logam berat Pb, Lorjuk, Solen sp. Pantai Madur
NUMERICAL MODELING OF LONG SHORE TRANSPORT RATE IN COASTAL STRUCTURE PLANNING
Demak Regency is one of the regencies in the coastal region north of Central Java, which has a abrasion. The coastal area of Surodadi, Sayung Subdistrict, Demak Regency is one of the areas that experienced severe abrasion. The purpose of this study is to analyze the coastal dynamics that occur and design appropriate conservation and rehabilitation systems to reduce the impact of abrasion and coastal protection. This study uses primary data carried out at 2016. The analyzes carried out were wind, wave, tidal analysis, shoreline changes and analysis of recommendation structures. The protection scenorio plan uses two alternative structures namely breakwater and seawall. Analysis using a breakwater indicates that the results of sedimentation due to the structure are unsatisfactory. After 10 years, the breakwater produces ± 100 m sedimentation from the initial coastline. The modeling results show that the seawall can prevent further abrasion in the study site even if it does not cause sedimentation (except on the coastline that juts into the mainland)
