    LAMA WAKTU OPERASI RAKKANG TERHADAP TANGKAPAN KEPITING BAKAU

    ABSTRACTMangrove crab is one of typical species that live in mangrove areas. This species is fishery commodity that can be found entire coast of Indonesia. Pancur river, Jebus, West Bangka holds the potential resources of the mangrove crab. Rakkang is a the traditional type of fishing gear. This study aims to analyze effeective resr soaking duration of rakkang and to know effective time to catch the mangrove crab. This study use split plot design, then performed DUNCAN advance test using SAS V6. Data analysis by DUNCAN produce Fcount Ftable (5%), so that the catch result of mangrove crab were not significantly different. The precise time to catch the mangrove crab is in the morning or in the night with submersion duration. Effektive soaking time, of  Rakkang is 30 minutes.Keywords: mangrove crab,effective submersion duration, effective rakkang.ABSTRAKKepiting bakau adalah salah satu spesies khas yang hidup di kawasan bakau. Spesies ini merupakan komoditi perikanan yang dapat dijumpai di seluruh pantai Indonesia. Sungai Pancur, Kecamatan Jebus, Kabupaten Bangka Barat menyimpan potensi sumberdaya kepiting bakau yang besar. Alat tangkap rakkang ini merupakan jenis alat tangkap tradisional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis lama perendaman yang efektif pada alat tangkap rakkang dan untuk mengetahui waktu yang efektif untuk menangkap kepiting bakau. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode  Rancangan Petak Terbagi (MRPT) lalu dilakukan uji lanjut DUNCAN menggunakan SAS v6. Data analisis dengan DUNCAN menghasilkan Fhitung FTabel  (5%), sehingga hasil tangkapan kepiting bakau tidak berbeda nyata. Penangkapan kepiting bakau dapat dilakukan pagi hari atau malam hari dan lama perendaman. Berdasarkan lama perendaman alat tangkap rakkang yang efektif adalah 30 menit.Kata kunci: Kepiting bakau, waktu perendaman efektif, alat tangkap rakkang/pintur

    KOMPARASI POLA SPASIAL KONDISI TERUMBU KARANG TAMAN NASIONAL KARIMUNJAWA

    ABSTRACTComparative studies on the percentage of coral reef substrate cover have been carried out in 3 (three) management zones (protection zone, utilization and Non-MPA) Karimunjawa National Park (KNP). The Manta Tow broadscale coral reef assessment method was applied to the north side of Bengkoang Island and the south side of Cemara Besar Island (protection zone), southern side of Bengkoang Island and northern side of Cemara Besar Island (utilization zone) and Non-MPA (Seruni Island) to observe live coral cover, dead coral, coral rubble and soft coral. Substrate cover variations from 10-12 towing (track length 200m) from each side of the island have formed a spatial pattern of coral reef conditions. Furthermore, the condition of the coral reefs was confirmed using the UPT (Underwater Photo Transect) detailed assessment method with one station on each side of the island. The results showed that there were differences in the spatial pattern of coral reef conditions as indicated by significant differences in the percentage of live coral cover, dead coral, rubble and coral lifeform among management zones of the KNP. The condition of coral reefs of the MPA is better and has a higher diversity of coral species than Non-MPA of the Karimunjawa National Park. The spatial pattern of coral reef conditions can be used as an indicator of disturbances in the coral reef ecosystem and can be used for periodic analysis of coral reef monitoring data in conservation areas.Keywords: spatial pattern, coral reef condition, manta tow, underwater photo transect, Karimunjawa National Park.ABSTRAKStudi perbandingan persentase tutupan substrat terumbu karang telah di lakukan pada 3 (tiga) zona pengelolaan (zona perlindungan, pemanfaatan dan luar kawasan) Taman Nasional Karimunjawa. Metode penilaian terumbu karang skala luas Manta Tow diaplikasikan di sisi utara P. Bengkoang dan sisi selatan P. Cemara Besar (zona perlindungan), sisi selatan P. Bengkoang dan sisi utara P. Cemara Besar (zona pemanfaatan) dan luar kawasan (P. Seruni) untuk mengamati tutupan karang hidup, karang mati, pecahan karang dan karang lunak. Variasi persentase tutupan substrat dari 10-12 tarikan Manta Tow (panjang lintasan 200m) dari masing-masing sisi pulau telah membentuk pola spasial kondisi terumbu karang. Selanjutnya penilaian kondisi terumbu karang dikonfirmasi dengan menggunakan metode penilaian rinci UPT (Underwater Photo Transect) dengan satu stasiun setiap sisi pulau. Hasil menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan pola spasial kondisi terumbu karang yang ditunjukkan oleh perbedaan yang signifikan persentase tutupan karang hidup, karang mati, pecahan karang dan lifeform karang antar zona pengelolaan.  Kondisi terumbu karang di dalam kawasan lebih baik dan memiliki keragaman jenis karang lebih tinggi daripada di luar kawasan Taman Nasional Karimunjawa. Pola spasial kondisi terumbu karang dapat dijadikan indikator terjadinya gangguan pada ekosistem terumbu karang di suatu kawasan dan dapat digunakan untuk analisis data pemantauan terumbu karang secara berkala di kawasan konservasi.Kata Kunci: pola pasial, kondisi terumbu karang, manta tow, underwater photo transect, Taman Nasional Karimunjawa

    STRUKTUR KOMUNITAS BULU BABI (Echinoidea) DI ZONA INTERTIDAL PERAIRAN MANOKWARI

    ABSTRACTSea urchins (Echinoidea) are spread from shallow intertidal areas to the deep sea. This study aims to determine species diversity and abundance of sea urchins in the intertidal zone of Manokwari Waters. The study took place in three locations in the intertidal zone of Manokwari waters. The method used was purposive sampling with a line transect sampling technique measuring 1x1 meter in size. We found 10 species namely H. mammilatus, E. mathaei, E. oblonga, E. viridis, E. lucunter, D. setosum, E. calamaris, D. savignyi, Echinotrix sp., and E. diadema. Sea urchin (H ') index value ranges from H’= 0.2173–0.448430; Index (E) ranges between 0.3108–0.7477 and the Index Value (C) ranges between 0.3769-0.7911 in each of the intertidal zones. L1 (Di = 0.5 ind / 6m2 - 21.8 ind / 6m2); KR = (2.0270%–88.5135%); L2 (Di = 0.5 ind / 6m2–9.5 ind / 6m2; KR = 0.8474% -48.3050%) and L3 (Di = 0.8 ind / 6m2–7.1 ind / 6m2; KR = 7.6923% -66.1538%).Keywords: Abundance, Intertidal, Manokwari, Sea Urchin, Species Diversity,ABSTRAKBulu babi (Echinoidea) tersebar di daerah pasang surut yang dangkal hingga laut dalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis dan kelimpahan bulu babi di zona intertidal. Penelitian dilakukan pada tiga lokasi di Perairan Manokwari. Metode yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan teknik line transect sampling berukuran 1 × 1 meter. Kami menemukan 10 spesies yaitu H. mammilatus, E. mathaei, E. oblonga, E. viridis, E. lucunter, D. setosum, E. calamaris, D. savignyi, Echinotrix sp., dan E. diadema. Nilai indeks bulu babi (H') berkisar dari H' = 0,2173–0,448430; Indeks (E) berkisar antara 0,3108–0,7477 dan Nilai Indeks (C) berkisar antara 0,3769–0,7911.     Morphological Mapping of Seabed for Monitoring Sedimentation at Ulee Lheu Fishing Jetty Using Single Beam Dual Frequency

    ABSTRACTUlee Lheu Fishing Port Jetty is an important port in Banda Aceh City which functions as a crossing, loading and unloading port. The issue of sedimentation is the main problem. This study aims to determine the morphology of the seabed as the basis for monitoring sedimentation at the Ulee Lheu Fishing Port Jetty. Bathymetric surveys were carried out in the dock pool using a single beam echotrack odometer. Tides were obtained using the IOC Sea Level Monitoring for 29 days and analyzed using the admiralty method. The results of the processing showed that there was sedimentation in the area of the Ulee Lheu Fishing Port Jetty. The depth of the wharf pool ranges from 0-7,7 meters with a sediment volume of 250.117,15 m3. Meanwhile, the tidal water type is included in the double daily tidal type with a value of F = 0,15 and the tidal distance is 2,38 meters and is included in the micro tidal range category and there is sedimentation in the Ulee Lheu Fishing Port Jetty.Keywords: Bathymetry, sedimentation, morphology, Ulee Lheu Port, tidal rangeABSTRAKDermaga Perikanan Ulee Lheu merupakan pelabuhan penting di Kota Banda Aceh yang difungsikan sebagai pelabuhan penyeberangan maupun sebagai pelabuhan bongkar muat. Isu sedimentasi menjadi masalah utama di dermaga ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui morfologi dasar laut sebagai dasar pemantauan sedimentasi di Dermaga Perikanan Ulee Lheu. Survei batimetri dilakukan di kolam dermaga menggunakan echotrack odometer single beam. Pasang surut diperoleh menggunakan dari IOC Sea Level Monitoring selama 29 hari serta dianalisa menggunakan metode admiralty. Hasil pengolahan menunjukan terjadi sedimentasi di areal Dermaga Perikanan. Kedalaman kolam dermaga berkisar antara 0-7,7 meter dengan volume sedimen berkisar 250.117,15 m3. Sementara tipe pasang surut perairan termasuk dalam tipe pasang surut harian ganda dengan nilai F=0,15 serta jarak tunggang pasut sebesar 2,38 meter  dan termasuk dalam kategori mikro tidal range dan terdapat sedimentasi di bagian Dermaga Perikanan Ulee Lheu.Kata Kunci : Batimetri, Sedimentasi, Morfologi, Dermaga Perikanan Ulee Lheu, tunggang pasang surutThe port as the main entrance for ships is the mainstay of the coastal area to open economic activities and services in the coastal area. Ulee Lheu Fishery Jetty located in the Banda Aceh area and functions as a ferry port as well as a loading and unloading port. Port activities will have adverse impacts such as silting the seabed by sediment. This study aims to determine the morphology of the seabed which is used as sediment integration in the Ulee Lheu Fishery Pier. The method used for sediment monitoring was a bathymetric survey using a single beam echotrack odometer. From the results of the bathymetric survey data, it was found that the depth ranged from 0-7,7 meters with a sediment volume ranging from 250.117,15 m3.     PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PAKAN KOMERSIAL DENGAN CAMPURAN RECOMBINANT GROWTH HORMONE (rGH) PADA BUDIDAYA

    ABSTRACTThis reasearch aims to analyze the effect of the addition and to obtain the concentration of rGH hormone which can have the best effect on seabass (L.calcarifer). This research was conducted for 28 days using seabass with 7-8 cm size, with a container that have 20 L volume and the density of 10 fish. The method used in this research was an experimental method using completely randomized design with 4 treatment and 3 replication, P1: control, P2:  rGH hormone 0.5 mg/ml, P3: rGH hormone 0.6 mg/ml, P4: rGH hormone 0.7 mg/ml. The parameters observed were absolute weight and lenght growth, specific growth rate, feed conversion ratio (FCR), feed utilization efficiency (EPP), and survival rate (SR). Data were analyzed with ANOVA and Duncan’s test. The result showed that differences in the concentration of the addition of rGH hormone in commercial feed could effect all the research parameters except feed conversion ratio and survival rate. Addition of the rGH hormone with a concentration of 0.6 mg/ml (P3) is the best concentration because it provides an absolute weight growth rate of 4.03 g, an absolute length growth rate of 1.90 cm, a specific growth rate of 1.32% and feed utilization efficiency of 29.56%.Keywords: commercial feed recombinant growth hormone (rGH), seabass (Lates calcarifer.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengaruh penambahan hormon rGH serta mendapatkan konsentrasi hormon rGH yang dapat memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada benih ikan kakap putih (L. calcarifer). Penelitian dilakukan selama 28 hari menggunakan benih ikan kakap putih berukuran 7-8 cm, dengan ukuran wadah 20 L dan padat tebar 10 ikan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan yaitu, P1: tanpa hormon rGH (kontrol), P2: konsentrasi hormon rGH 0,5 mg/ml, P3: konsentrasi hormon rGH 0,6 mg/ml, P4: konsentrasi hormon 0,7  mg/ml. Parameter penelitian yang diamati adalah pertumbuhan berat mutlak, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, laju pertumbuhan spesifik, rasio konversi pakan (FCR), efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan (EPP) dan survival rate (SR). Data yang diperoleh dianalisa sidik ragam (ANOVA) dan uji lanjut Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan konsentrasi penambahan hormon rGH pada pakan komersil dapat mempengaruhi semua parameter penelitian kecuali rasio konversi pakan (FCR), dan survival rate (SR). Pemberian hormon rGH dengan konsentrasi 0,6 mg/ml (P3) merupakan konsentrasi terbaik karena memberikan pertumbuhan berat mutlak sebesar 4,03 g, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak sebesar 1,90 cm, laju pertumbuhan spesifik sebesar 1,32 %, dan efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan sebesar 29,56%.Kata kunci: pakan komersial, recombinant growth hormon (rGH), kakap putih (Lates calcarifer)

    ABSTRACTIncreasing the amount of feeding in shrimp culture feeding will trigger the accumulation of organic matter and toxic compounds in the form of waste in the pond. One of the effort that can be done is bioremediation or the return system of environmental conditions that are polluted through the addition of certain bacteria. This research aims to identify bioremediation degradation bacteria in shrimp pond waste. This study was held in November 2019 - March 2020. Twelve isolates of bacteria wich isolated from the shrimp pond sediment at Pasir Sakti, East Lampung and cultured on sewage media. Subsequent samples were screened to select total ammonia nitrogen (TAN) degradation bacteria candidates. Bacterial isolates with the best activity are subsequently identified morphologically including cell form, Gram test, motility, and molecular identification with 16S rRNA sequential analysis. The results showed that the best isolate were able to reducing TAN was T4.10 isolate with activity able to reduce TAN by 0,404 mg/L. Morphological, biochemical, and molecular identification confirm that the isolate was 100% Bacillus megaterium bacteria. These bacteria can be used as bioremediation candidates. Shrimp pond waste will be degraded into compounds that can be reused for shrimp metabolic processes, so the sustainability aquaculture can happened.Keywords: Bacillus megaterium, Bioremediation, Screening, Shrimp Pond, Total Ammonia Nitrogen.ABSTRAKPeningkatan jumlah pemberian pakan budidaya udang akan memicu terjadinya akumulasi bahan organik dan senyawa toksik berupa limbah dalam tambak. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah bioremediasi atau sistem pengembalian kondisi lingkungan yang tercemar melalui penambahan bakteri tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bakteri bioremediasi pendegradasi limbah tambak udang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2019 – Maret 2020. Dua belas isolat bakteri diisolasi dari sedimen tambak udang vaname Pasir Sakti, Lampung Timur pada media Sewage. Sampel selanjutnya dilakukan penapisan (skrining) untuk memilih kandidat bakteri pendegradasi Total Ammonia Nitrogen (TAN). Isolat bakteri dengan aktivitas terbaik selanjutnya diidentifikasi secara morfologi meliputi bentuk sel, uji Gram, motilitas, dan identifikasi secara molekuler dengan analisis sekuen 16S rRNA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa isolat terbaik yang mampu menurunkan TAN yaitu isolat T4.10 dengan aktivitas mampu menurunkan TAN sebesar 0,404 mg/L. Identifikasi morfologi, biokimia, dan molekuler mengkonfirmasi bahwa isolat tersebut 100 % merupakan bakteri Bacillus megaterium. Bakteri tersebut dapat dijadikan sebagai kandidat bioremediasi. Limbah tambak udang akan di degradasi menjadi senyawa yang dapat dimanfaatkan kembali untuk proses metabolisme udang sehingga terjadi akuakultur berkelanjutan (Sustainable aquaculture).Kata kunci: Bacillus megaterium, Bioremediasi, Tambak udang, Total Ammonia Nitrogen

    KARAKTERISTIK PASANG SURUT DI PERAIRAN PULAU BINTAN BAGIAN TIMUR MENGGUNAKAN METODE ADMIRALTY

    ABSTRACTThis study aims to analyze of tidal in the Eastern Bintan Island waters, including the harmonic constant value, water level elevation and type of tidal. This study used tidal observation data obtained from the Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG) during 2015-2019. The tidal harmonic constant value is calculated using the Admiralty method, which is one of the harmonic methods that calculates the mean sea level and the sinuoidal function. Admiralty calculations used schemes and tables which are operationalized by Excel software. The water level field observation was carried out in August 2020 with the Tide master instrument. The analysis results obtained 9 harmonic constants which are then used to determine the Formzahl number and water level elevation. Furthermore, the calculation results of harmonic constants and water level elevations are used in tidal forecasting for the next 8 months using Worldtides software. The results showed that the Eastern Bintan Island waters had a tye of Mixed Tide Prevailing Semi Diurnal. Meanwhile, the water level elevation has a Mean High Water Spring (MHWS) of 403.2 cm (SE±3.2), Mean High Water Level (MHWL) of 381.6 cm (SE ± 3.47), Mean Sea Level (MSL) value was 268.2 cm (SE±3.1), Mean Low Water Level (MLWL) was 154.6 cm (SE±2.77) and Mean Low Water Spring (MLWS) was 133 cm (SE±3.1). Tide prediction accuracy test results obtained RMSE value generated at 0.098. These results indicate a small error rate, it can be used as a reference for development planning in the Eastern Bintan Island waters.Keywords: Admiralty, Eastren Bintan Island, Tidal, Water level elevationABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis karakteristik pasang surut di Perairan Pulau Bintan Bagian Timur mencakup nilai konstanta harmonik, elevasi muka air dan tipe pasang surut. Penelitian menggunakan data observasi pasang surut yang diperoleh dari Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG) selama tahun 2015-2019. Nilai konstanta harmonik pasang surut dihitung menggunakan metode Admiralty, yakni merupakan salah satu dari metode harmonic yang perhitungannya melibatkan kedudukan permukaan air laut rata-rata dan fungsi sinuoidal. Perhitungan Admiralty menggunakan bantuan skema dan Tabel yang dioperasionalkan dengan perangkat lunak Excel. Pengamatan lapang tinggi air dilakukan pada Bulan Agustus 2020 dengan instumen Tide master. Hasil analisis diperoleh 9 konstanta harmonik yang selanjutnya digunakan untuk menentukan bilangan Formzahl dan elevasi muka air. Selanjutnya hasil perhitungan konstanta harmonik dan elevasi muka air digunakan dalam peramalan pasang surut untuk 8 bulan kedepan menggunakan perangkat lunak Worldtides. Hasil penelitian menunjukan wilayah peraian Pulau Bintan Bagian Timur memiliki tipe pasang surut campuran condong harian ganda. Sedangkan elevasi tinggi muka air memiliki rerata tinggi muka air pada saat pasang purnama (MHWS) sebesar 403,2 (SE±3,2) cm, rata-rata MHWL sebesar 381,6 (SE±3,47) cm, rata-rata nilai MSL 268,2 (SE±3,1) cm, rata-rata MLWL 154,6 (SE±2,77) cm dan rata-rata MLWS sebesar 133 (SE±3,1) cm.  Hasil uji akurasi prediksi pasang surut diperoleh nilai RMSE yang dihasilkan sebesar 0,098. Hasil ini menunjukan tingkat kesalahan yang kecil, dapat digunaan sebagai bahan referensi untuk perencanaan pembangunan di perairan Pulau Bintan Bagian Timur.Kata kunci: Admiralty, Elevasi muka air, Pasang surut, Pulau Bintan Bagian Timu
