Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Discovery Learning Pada Materi Operasi Hitung Matriks
The learning process occurs naturally in student learning activities and understanding the concepts studied. Generally, the process of delivering mathematical concepts by teachers focuses more on conventional methods, with teachers dominating the learning process leading to a lack of student involvement. Students are passive in learning, making it difficult for them to understand and build mathematical concepts, and students only memorize concepts without understanding them. This causes students not to know how to form, use, and communicate with the material they will learn in everyday life. Therefore, active learning is needed, one of which is applying the discovery learning model. The Discovery learning model is a learning process in which students are not presented with lessons/teaching materials in their final form. However, students must carry out various activities to collect information, categorize, analyze, integrate, organize materials and make conclusions that lead to discovery. The concept of the material being studied. This study aims to determine how students' activities and responses to the discovery learning model on matrix arithmetic operations in Year 12. Data were obtained from observing student activities through assessment rubrics and response questionnaires. The results of this study indicate that the student's activity during the learning process is good, and the student's response to the discovery learning model on matrix arithmetic operations is positive
Pemahaman Siswa pada Materi Bentuk Aljabar melalui Model Discovery Learning dengan Mind Mapping
The learning model is a fundamental model used for designing the learning. The learning model to encourage students' engagement recommended by the 2013 Curriculum is the discovery learning model. At the end of this model, students are guided to make conclusions from the materials studied by making a summary in the form of mind mapping. This study aimed to investigate the level of student understanding and student responses to the topic of algebraic form through discovery learning models with mind mapping. This study used a quantitative approach with the type of Pre-Experimental Design research through the One-Shot Case Study design. To test the hypothesis in this study, the t-test was used. The samples were Year 27 Year 7 students in one of the junior high schools in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. This research showed that: 1) students' understanding using the discovery learning model with mind mapping could reach a high or moderate level for the topic of algebraic form; 2) most students' understanding was at the moderate level (59.26%), and 3) the results of student responses of algebraic form using discovery learning model with mind mapping showed good understanding
PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA VIDEO MENGGUNAKAN APLIKASI ADOBE PREMIERE DAN VIDEOSCRIBE PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA
The integration of science and technology in mathematics learning can be done through learning videos. Various applications can be an option to develop the required learning videos. Adobe Premiere and VideoScribe application is one alternative application that can produce more interesting and diverse videos, but learning videos using these applications are limited. This study describes the process and results of developing valid learning video media using Adobe Premiere and VideoScribe applications on System of Linear Equation with Two Variables (SLETV). This research is Research and Development research. The data sources of this research were validators with expertise in content, construct, and technology. The instrument used to obtain research data was a validation sheet. The results were two videos: The standard form SLETV and the SLETV Solution Method. The development process of the learning videos using Adobe Premiere and VideoScribe applications on SLETV was carried out through the stages of searching for references related to SLETV and applications used to develop videos to design prototypes. The prototypes were then validated and revised until the video media was declared valid. The results showed that the learning videos using Adobe Premiere and VideoScribe applications on SPLDV material were valid for aspects of content, constructs, and technology media. However, the learning videos with Adobe Premiere and VideoScribe applications on SLETV material need to be tested to measure the practicality of the video
MENGGUNAKAN MEDIA WOODEN HOUSE DALAM MEMPELAJARI INTRODUKSI BANGUN RUANG DAPAT MENINGKATKA N ILAI BELAJAR SISWA KELAS X.A-2 SMA NEGERI 8 BANDA ACEH TAHUN PELAJARAN 2017/2018
Learning media is a tool in giving examples directly in the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of wooden house media as a medium in studying the mathematics of introductory building materials. Research subjects Class X. A-2 SMA Negeri 8 Banda Aceh Academic Year 2017/2018 with the number of students 24 students consists of 17 men, and 6 female students. In general, viewed from various aspects, this class is very heterogeneous. The research procedure is to carry out a research cycle that begins with planning, implementing, observing and also reflecting on the research results. The results of the research are Cycle I meeting 1 with the average value of affective aspects C, cognitive aspects 6.54 and psychomotor 6.58% this value cannot be stated classically. The 2nd meeting of the average value in the affective aspect C, cognitive aspects 6.88 and psychomotor aspects 6.79. The mastery learning value is 54.29%. Cycle II encounters the average value on the B affective aspects, cognitive aspects 7.13 and psychomotor 6.92. For the mastery learning value reached 66.7%. The second meeting of the average value on the B affective aspects, 7.38 cognitive aspects and 7.17 psychomotor aspects of learning completeness reached 79.2%
Masalah-Masalah Kritis Siswa SMA dalam Menyelesaikan Soal Pertidaksamaan Aljabar
Abstract: This study aimed to describe the critical problems experienced by students in solving algebraic inequalities. The subjects of the study were nine Year 12 students from one of the senior high school in Banda Aceh and students studying at one of the tuition centres in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. The data was gathered through algebraic inequality test followed by interviews. The results showed that the critical problems experienced by students in solving the question of algebraic inequality were problems in understanding cross-multiplication requirements, in applying cancellation rules, in understanding the definition area and value areas of a function, in determining exponential inequalities, and in understanding the definition of absolute value.Keywords: critical problems, difficulties, algebraic inequalities
Kompetensi Pedagogik Guru Matematika Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri Kecamatan Johan Pahlawan Kabupaten Aceh Barat
Certification is the process of granting certificates to the teacher to determine the feasibility of a teacher in carrying out her/his duties as agents of school learning.A certificate is provided to educators who have met the requirements of teacher competency test. The results for the West Aceh district showed that it had not reached the standards set by the government. These results did not demonstrate the competence of teachers for each competency. The purpose of this study was to determine the pedagogic competence and professional competence of teachers of mathematics in junior high school Johan Pahlawan sub-district of West Aceh district. Subjects in this study were 11 middle school mathematics teacher at the First State District of Johan Pahalwan West Aceh district. Data were collected through observation and tests. Data were analyzed qualitatively based on indicators of teachers' pedagogical competence and professional competence. The survey results revealed that the pedagogical competence of teachers in preparing lesson plans, implementation of learning and testing were good. Two out of 11 teachers studied had excellent pedagogical competence. In contrast, ten other teachers are still in the category of good, but the test many teachers did not answer the true with an average of fifteen questions that the answer is correct. Professional competence of teachers is still many teachers who are not able to provide answers to the questions given. However, 11 teachers were able to answer very satisfying to items (2), (3), (5), (10) and (11). As for the other as a matter of no one only four teachers who were able to answer correctly, then to question number 10 only three teachers who answered correctly but for a matter that only eight teachers who answered correctly
PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MATEMATIS MELALUI MODEL PROJECT BASED LEARNING PADA SISWA SMP/MTs
Penelitian inibertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1)peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa setelah diterapkan modelproject based learning(PjBL) pada siswa SMP/MTs; 2) membandingkan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan Modelproject based learningdan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitianquasi eksperimendengancontrol group pretest-posttest design. Teknik pengumpulan data melaluipree testdanpost testtentang kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis, sedangkan teknik analisis datanya menggunakan ujiN-Gaindan uji-t independen. Sebagai populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa SMPN 6 Banda Aceh, sedangkan sampelnya adalah siswa kelas VIII-5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII-6 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) rata-rata nilai siswa kelas eksperimen diperolehN-Gain0.52 pada kategori sedang dan berdasarkan ujipaired sample t testdiperolehthitung ttabelatau 13.44 1.67, berarti terjadi peningkatan yang signifikankemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa setelah diterapkan modelproject based learning(PjBL) terhadap siswa SMP/MTs; (2) Hasil daripengujian dengan ujit independen, diperolehdan,atau, dapat disimpulkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yangdibelajarkandengan menggunakan model pembelajaranproject based learninglebih baik dari pada peningkatankemampuan berpikir kritis matematissiswa yangdibelajarkandenganpembelajarankonvensional
Kemandirian Belajar Siswa SMP melalui Model Problem Based Learning (PBL)
Abstract. Learning autonomy of Indonesian students is relatively low because, during the learning, the teacher directly explained the materials and solved the example problem without involving the students. This situation led to students being less engaged and independent. Therefore, we need an effort to improve student learning autonomy; one of them is using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. This study was aiming at determining the learning autonomy of students who were taught using the PBL learning model and those learned in conventional learning. This study was an experimental study with a pre-test post-test control group design. The population were all Year 7 students of one of the junior high schools in Banda Aceh, and two classes were selected as the samples randomly. The instrument was a student learning autonomy questionnaire. Data were analysed using t-test and two-way ANOVA to examine the differences in the improvement of students between levels. The results revealed that the students learning autonomy in mathematics during the learning with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model was better than their counterparts. There was also no interaction between the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model and student level (high, medium, low) on student learning autonomy.Keywords: Students Learning Autonomy, Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model
Pemahaman Relasional Siswa pada Turunan Fungsi dengan Bantuan Software Geometers Sketchpad
Relational understanding in mathematics is important for the student's it causes understanding the mathematical concepts will be memorable if he knows the process of getting the concept by linking it with the knowledge to be learned. This study aimed to examine the relational understanding of students in discovering the concept of f '(x) using Geometer's Sketchpad, and the relational understanding of students in discovering the concept of f (x) = x2 + c let f' (x) = 2xusing Geometer's Sketchpad.It also investigated the students' responses when they use Geometer's Sketchpad in understanding the derivative function. The study used a qualitative approach. Subjects in this study were three Year 11 students of one the junior high school in Meuredu, Aceh, Indonesia. The instruments were observation sheet, interview guides, student worksheets and test questions. The data analysis included the classification of information obtained from observations when the subjects used software Sketchpad Geometers in their learning. Information about students' relational understanding obtained from the student worksheets reinforced with test questions and interviews so that the results can be accounted for. This study concluded that (1) students' relational understanding (Subjects RV, subject MR, subject AA) in discovering the concept of f '(x) using Geometer's Sketchpad was good; (2) students' relational understanding (Subjects RV, subject MR, subject AA) in discovering the concept of f (x) = x2 + c let f '(x) = 2x using Geometer's Sketchpad was a good; and (3) the responses of Subjects RV, subject MR, subject AA in using Geometer's Sketchpad were positive, each research subject was very pleased and liked to use Geometer's Sketchpad in understanding the derivative function
PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MATEMATIS SISWA SMK MELALUI PENDEKATAN MATEMATIKA REALISTIK
Mathematically critical thinking skills are two very important capabilities owned by a student.It allows the students to reason and solve problems in everyday life.The ability to cultivate, then one relevant learning is realistic mathematics learning.This study aims to analyze the increasa in critical thinking skills students acquire mathematical learning of mathematics using realistic mathematics approach whit student who received conventional mathematics, as well as see the interaction by the level of prior knowledge of students. This study is a quasi experimental study research designPretest Posttest ControlDesign.The population of this research is all class X students at SMK Negeri 1 Meulaboh by taking two classes of samples taken at random from the 7 classes available.Data analysis was performed using t-test and ANOVA two lanes with a significance level of 0.05, both based on the whole student or based on prior knowledge of students.Based on the results of the study concluded that: 1) peningkatancritical thinkingskillsmathematical studentstaught throughrealistic mathematics approachis better thanthecritical thinking skillsof studentstaughtbyconventional,2) terdapat interactionbetweenrealistic mathematics approach to the level of students' critical thinking skillsmathematically
