    Penguasaan Konsep dan Hasil Belajar Kalkulus Mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Fisika dengan Pembelajaran Kontekstualmelalui Pemecahan Masalah

    AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan hasil belajar, aktivitas belajar, serta persepsi mahasiswa tentang keterkaitan matakuliah Kalkulus dengan program studi Pendidikan Fisika melalui pembelajaran kontekstual dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah. Subjek penelitian adalah 30 orang mahasiswa semester I Jurusan Pendidikan Fisika tahun akademik 2009/2010. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan tes hasil belajar, dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran kontekstual dengan pendekatan pemecahan masalah dalam pembelajaran Kalkulus dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep, hasil belajar, aktivitas belajar, dan persepsi mahasiswa tentang keterkaitan matakuliah Kalkulus pada program studi Fisika.Kata kunci: penguasaan konsep, kalkulus, pembelajaran kontekstual, pemecahan masala

    KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS DAN HABITS OF MIND MAHASISWA PADA MATERI LINTASAN TERPENDEK MENGGUNAKAN ALGORITMA FLOYD WARSHALL

    AbstractThis study aims to determine the mathematical communication skills and habits of mind students and obtains a description of the obstacles faced by the students in using Floyd Warshall algorithm software on shortest path subject. This study is a qualitative research-description. The samples are 4 students of Teacher Education Mathematics Faculty Unsyiah who take courses Graph Theory on academic year 2012/2013. The subjects was choosen based on the observation who are active, less active and not active students in the learning, and also GPA more than three. The data were obtained from observations, interviews and written responses of research subjects. Mathematical communication skills of students who studied as follows, subject I has fair mathematical communication skills, subject II has very good mathematical communication skills, subjects III has good mathematical communication skills, and subjects IV has a fair mathematical communication skills. Habits of Mind research subjects is shown as follows; Habits of mind subject I included into the fair category. Habits of Mind of subjects II included into the excellent category, whereas habits of mind of subject III included into the very good category. Last habits of mind of subjects IV included into the fair categori. The obstacles faced by students in the use of software constraints Floyd Warshall algorithm on shortest path is, 1 ) graph / digraph can not be repaired when it is processed, 2 ) do not work can not be stored, 3 ) vertices that can be used is limited, and 4 ) no distance information between one place to another, so less can be used in real life.     PENERAPAN STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN INDUKTIF UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEPTUAL DAN PROSEDURAL MATEMATIKA SISWA MADRASAH ALIYAH

    Abstract Students' conceptual understanding of mathematics acquired through investment concepts and the association of a concept with other concepts. Procedural understanding is that task completion procedure can be given via a demonstration by the teacher. Assumed inductive learning strategies can improve conceptual understanding and procedural math students.This study was conducted to see the effect of inductive learning strategy to increase conceptual understanding and procedural mathematics student and it is a mixed method study.This study is a population that is all class XI IPA MAN Kuta Baro Aceh Besar, which consists of two classes.Obtain experimental class learning with inductive learning strategy and classroom learning gain control conventional.The research instrument consisted of conceptual understanding and procedural tests and interviews. Processing data by using SPSS, Microsoft Excel, t-test and Mann-Whitney test. Data processing results obtained: 1) there is no difference increased conceptual understanding of mathematics students who learn by inductive learning strategy and the learning with conventional learning, both in terms of overall student well in terms of student ratings of high, medium and low, 2) there is a difference increase in the procedural understanding of mathematical students are learning with inductive learning strategy and the learning with conventional learning, both in terms of overall students and students from low ratings, but there is no difference in terms of improvement when students rank high and medium. Results obtained some mistake interview students, among others: 1) erroneously determine the function of derivative with using the concept of limit because there was erroneous of multiplication algebra process, 2) erroneously write the example of function thas has derivative equals 3, that does not have derivative, and grouping function that has derivative 2 and itsnt 2 because they do not understand the concept of derivative, 3)erroneously indicate a function that has a derivative at a point because they dont understand the mean of question (4) erroneously explain why the f '(0) is undefined for f(x) = because they dont understand what is known on th question and divisibility by zero (5)erroneously conclude when a graph has a derivative around x=a because of they dont understand the reason (6)erroneously determine the derivative quotient and the products of two functions because they dont understand the definition of a derivative, the proces of algebra product, and its simplification (7) erroneously determine the derivative of the root form because there was an erroneous in the process of changing the root form.Keywords: Inductive Learning, Conceptual Understanding, ProceduralUnderstandin
