Training on the Design of an Automatic Faucet Water System Using Arduino for Youth in Giri Mekar Village
Nowadays, water faucets play an important role in controlling water flow. Besides that, faucets are generally moved manually by every human activity by turning or moving the faucet up or down. This manual faucet system has weaknesses, namely water wastage and easily damaged faucets. The use of automatic faucets in public facilities can minimize waste their use because generally people often forget to close the faucet again. Besides, using Arduino-based automatic water faucets can reduce the transmission of Covid 19 for the community, especially during the current pandemic. This activity aims to design Arduino-based automatic water faucets at public facilities to reduce the spread and transmission of COVID-19, especially in the Girimekar Village area, Bandung Regency. The target of this activity is youth and cadets in the area. The implementation of the Arduino-Based Automatic Water Faucet design in training resulted in a prototype unit of Arduino-based automatic water faucet using the ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04 as detection and use of an electric solenoid valve as a form of direct water control
Developing Web-based Practical Procedure Guidance for Social Rehabilitation in The Society 5.0 Era
This research was based on issues related to Society 5.0 era for the requisite learning process to be linked to technology. The technology can provide students with flexible time to access learning materials. In addition, the specification of the material in this research is a practical social rehabilitation procedure for handling sexual assault for adolescents. This research aims to develop web-based practice guidance for the practical procedure of social rehabilitation in the society 5.0 era. The research was carried out to produce guidance for the practical procedure products that can be used for practical application in lectures to facilitate students' ability to practice social rehabilitation after graduating. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Planning, Production, and Evaluation (PPE) model. The research process involves documentation studies and validity tests by two media experts. The study results prove that the web-based guidance for the practical procedure is valid to be used as a resource for learning practical procedures in the Social Rehabilitation course. These results are based on the experts' assessment, with an average rating from the two media experts being 86.59% in the "Valid (Not Revised)" category. This research produces web-based practice guidance for the practical procedure of social rehabilitation, which has been assessed through expert judgment and proven valid to be applied by the lecturer of Social Rehabilitation courses at the Family Welfare Education Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (FWE UPI) Study Program
Energy Literacy Profile of Vocational High School Teacher Candidates for Renewable Energy Engineering Expertise Program
This study examines the energy literacy profile of engineering students as vocational high school teacher candidates for renewable energy engineering expertise programs in terms of 3 energy literacy domains: knowledge, attitudes, and behavior. This research uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive-comparative design, conducted on 135 engineering students from 3 study programs at the Indonesian University of Education. The results obtained are that the energy literacy knowledge of engineering students as vocational high school teacher candidates for renewable energy engineering expertise programs is low. Still, their energy literacy attitudes and behaviors are quite good. There was no statistically significant difference in energy literacy between the female and male student groups. In this study, it was known that students from 3 study programs received energy content from different courses. Their energy literacy results were influenced by differences in the range and depth of energy content provided by each study program. The results of this study can be a consideration for universities to develop energy literacy education and learning models and pay attention to the needs, content, and depth of energy content in each study program, especially study programs that are qualified as teachers candidates of vocational high school Renewable Energy Engineering Expertise Program.
Menguji Kesiapan Belajar Siswa Berbasis High Order Thinking Skill di Indonesia
Even though HOTS-based learning has been implemented since 2018, students' readiness has not been tested. This study aims to test the willingness of students to learn based on HOTS in Indonesia. Readiness is reviewed based on the 4C criteria: critical thinking, creative, communicative, and collaborative. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The sample was selected by random cluster sampling of 2.645 Indonesian students. The test method uses a questionnaire and observation. Data were taken by using observation, interview, and questionnaire techniques. The results show that students look active during discussions but still find it challenging to develop their creativity to solve problems. In quizzes, students should start to get used to the thinking process at levels C4 to C6, but students still choose C1 to C3. This study concludes that students are ready for criteria C1 to C3 and unprepared for learning at levels C4 to C6. Students need intense coaching and mentoring to support the successful implementation of HOTS-based learning
The Development of Connected Learning Modules in Computer Systems and Microprocessor Electronics Subjects at 10th Grade in Vocational High School
Learning modules are one of the important things in the continuity of learning. The learning modules are arranged systematically and cover all the content of the learning material that will be delivered by including an evaluation at the end of the module section to determine students' ability to understand learning. This study aimsto determine the effective development of connected learning modules in 10th grade at VHS (Vocational High School). The data collected is in the form of the feasibility of developing learning modules. This research is field research with the descriptive qualitative method. MAXQDA is used to explain the mapping of the research results obtained. The research subject involved the teacher as MGMP Team (Subject Teacher Conference) in this VHS, which provides an assessment through a validation sheet regarding the feasibility of the module to be used in the learning process. The results of this study indicate that the module that will be used already has a good and proper category as a support for the Connected Learning model to be applied learning process in the classroom. The conclusion based on the study results shows that the Connected Learning model can be used as an alternative learning model that only focuses on conventional learning models. This study’s results imply that the Connected Learning model can make it easier for teachers to be effective in the learning process

This study aims to improve the attitude of discipline and student performance learning outcomes in Lathe Machining Techniques by using Project Based Learning (PjBL) in class XII TPM-D students Machining Engineering Skills Competencies State Vocational School 2 Surakarta even semester 2019/2020 school year. The research procedure used is Classroom Action Research procedures. Project-based learning (PjBL) can improve student discipline in Lathe Machining Techniques for students of class XII TPM-D State Vocational School 2 Surakarta even semester 2019/2020 school year from the initial conditions by 34.29% increase in cycle 2 to 100% increasing by 65.71%. Through the learning method, Project Based Learning (PjBL) can improve student performance learning outcomes n Lathe Machining Techniques for students of class XII TPM-D State Vocational School 2 Surakarta even semester 2019/2020 school year from the initial condition of a 20% increase in cycle 2 to 100% increasing by 80%
Purwarupa Penghapus Papan Tulis Otomatis guna Meningkatkan Efektifitas Proses Belajar Mengajar di Sekolah Dasar
In general, primary and secondary schools still erase the blackboard manually. These activities will take up study time in the classroom and can even cause clothes to become dirty. From these problems, an innovation based on microcontroller technology is proposed to clean the blackboard by pressing the push switch. This automatic whiteboard uses a servo that will function as a drive that will move the eraser to clean the board. The micro servo can move because it is connected to the Arduino Uno that has been programmed. The workings of this blackboard eraser prototype are when the switch is pressed, and the micro servo will move the eraser with a large angle of rotation direction that is 90 ° from the bottom up repeatedly until the whiteboard is clean. The research process began with the Double Diamond approach introduced by the British Design Council. It was a design process using a social approach by conducting activities with prospective users of innovation, which are integrated with an approach with design thinking to produce technology-based innovations that are beneficial to candidates that users. After getting the primary solution, it will proceed with making a simple prototype that will be used to test the functions and benefits with potential users. From the results of testing with prospective users, obtained satisfactory results in terms of ease of use of technology, the benefits of innovation, and function in prototypes
Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Siswa Menggunakan Model Problem-based Learning Berbantuan Android-based Packet Tracer
Student learning outcomes are closely related to the learning strategies applied by the teacher. Many teachers still teach in improvised ways so that student achievement becomes low. This study aims to determine the improvement of learning outcomes in the subject of Network Infrastructure Administration for class XI TKJ 2 SMKN 1 Boyolali using a problem-based learning (PBL) model with the help of an Android-based packet tracer. This study uses a classroom action research method with two cycles where each cycle uses two meetings and begins with the planning stage, implementation stage, observation, and reflection stage. Researchers took the subject of students XI. Data was obtained through documentation and theoretical testing. Data analysis with descriptive analysis. The results showed that in the initial state or pre-cycle using the discovery learning model, student learning completeness only reached a percentage of 41%. Cycles 1 and 2 were carried out using an Android-based PBL model assisted by a packet tracer. In cycle 1, learning completeness increased by 51%, and in cycle two by 81%. These results can be concluded that the PBL model assisted by an Android-based packet tracer which is a modification of the PBL model, is very feasible to be applied to learning in Network Infrastructure Administration.
Analysis of Enterpreneurial Intent in Vocational High School Students Based on a Review on Contextual, Background, and Personal Characteristics
The high unemployment rate in Indonesia was dominated by vocational high school graduates approximately 8.63% of the 6.82 million. Therefore, to counter the circumstance, more entrepreneurs are required to explore job creation opportunities. This research was aimed at identifying the effects of entrepreneurial activity, gender, parents, self-confidence, and motivation on the entrepreneurial intent of vocational high school students. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The sample in this study was 85 final-year students of a high school in Central Java. A set of questionnaires was administered to explore the relationship between entrepreneurial intent and other contextual factors. The data derived from the survey were analyzed by correlation analysis and multiple regression. The results showed a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial activity, self-confidence, and motivation, with regression coefficients of 0.056, 0.098, and 0.083, respectively. These three variables separately exhibited zero significance. Meanwhile, gender indicated a negative and major influence, with a regression coefficient of -0.171 and a significance level of 0.006. However, parents were not able to demonstrate any effect but recorded a regression coefficient of 0.176. Thus, entrepreneurial activity, self-confidence and student motivation may affect the intention to be an entrepreneur. It is expected that this study could be a reference in developing students' entrepreneurship intent.
The Teachers' Selection of The Use of Learning Management Systems in Teaching and Learning
The selection of a website as a reference for learning directly affects the quality of information for the person who accesses it. The objectives and expected results of the learning management system depend on the quality of the teaching process and its effectiveness in online access. This research is expected to support teachers who carry out the teaching and learning process virtually during the pandemic. The research method used is quantitative, with a descriptive approach for evaluating, ranking, and choosing the learning management system. Based on the research survey, the criteria for analysis of the LMS platforms in this paper are summarized in three categories: learning skills tools, communication within LMS tools, and ease of use tools. The main goal is to present a comparative analysis of 5 electronic learning management systems. From the teachers' view in this research, only one LMS supports all three categories. The critical criteria of LMS are supported by video conference, chat room for personal discussion, and simple to use
