    Palm Sugar Agribusiness Development Strategy In Tasikmalaya Regency

    Sugar palm (Arenga Pinnata, MERR) is one of the most valuable commodities in the plantation sector; thus, they have enormous potential to be developed. The agribusiness development of sugar palm should start from the upstream to the downstream. Therefore, a study on the strategies to develop agribusiness of palm sugar is necessary to be conducted. This research is conducted to: 1) identify the internal and external factors, 2) formulate palm sugar agribusiness development strategies, and 3) determine the priority of palm sugar agribusiness development strategies.The method employed in this research is descriptive qualitative approach. The research area, Tasikmalaya regency, is chosen using the purposive sampling. The method used to collect the data is non probability sampling (Non-random). The analysis applied here are SWOT and AHP. The result shows that the priority orders of strategies are: (1) Cultivation development with certified parent stocks (0,3); (2) The institutional arrangements of agribusiness system by involving the relations with the stakeholder (0,27); (3) The assistance provisions to the facilities and infrastructures of the processing (0,14); (4) strengthening of product diversification and packaging innovation (0,13); (5) the Technology Development with the value 0,09; and (6) the improvement of marketing mechanism and market information with the value 0,07. The results of the study suggest that the strategic priority is the development of certified parent seed cultivation

    China merupakan negara tujuan ekspor Karet Indonesia. Produsen Karet ke China selain Indonesia adalah Thailand dan Malaysia. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis daya saing dan pangsa pasar ekspor karet Indonesia ke China. Metode yang digunakan adalah Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) dan Market Share untuk menganalisis daya saing dan pangsa pasar Karet Indonesia ke China. Hasil dari analisis RCA menunjukkan bahwa Karet Indonesia di China memiliki daya saing dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 0,528 (nilai RCA1) dan pangsa pasar ekspor Karet Indonesia di China rata-rata sebesar 0,491% selama tahun 2003-2017

    Pertanian organik merupakan jawaban atas revolusi hijau yang digalakkan pada tahun 1960-an yang menyebabkan (a) Berkurangnya kesuburan tanah dan (b) Kerusakan lingkungan akibat pemakaian pupuk dan pestisida kimia yang tidak terkendali. Gagalnya revolusi hijau menyebabkan masyarakat semakin sadar akan pentingnya mengembangkan sistem pertanian yang berwawasan lingkungan dan berkelanjutan. Program “Go Organik 2010” merupakan implementasi dukungan pemerintah terhadap sistem pertanian organik. Sehingga pertanian organik mulai berkembang di Indonesia umumnya dan di Kabupaten Pamekasan, khususnya. Pertanian organik buah naga merupakan pertanian organik yang sedang berkembang di Kabupaten Pamekasan. Sebagai implementasi untuk mewujudkan kelestarian pertanian organik buah naga, maka dibutuhkan analisis tentang kesediaan membayar masyarakat terhadap nilai keberadaan (Existence Value) dan nilai penggunaan alternatif (Option Value) pertanian Organik Buah Naga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode CVM (Contingent Valuation Method) untuk mengestimasi biaya yang akan dikeluarkan masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa besarnya estimasi WTP (Willingness To Pay) masyarakat terhadap nilai keberadaan pertanian organik buah naga adalah sebesar Rp. 42.060.403,89 / hektar per tahun. Sedangkan besarnya estimasi WTP (Willingness To Pay) masyarakat terhadap nilai penggunaan alternatif pertanian organik buah naga sebesar Rp. 41.633.017,67 / hektar per tahun

    Adanya perubahan keseimbangan pasar global menyebabkan kecenderungan kelebihan pasokan kopi dunia. kelebihan penawaran kopi global mengindikasikan  adanya peningkatan persaingan dalam hal memperebutkan pasar kopi global. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis posisi daya saing perdagangan kopi Indonesia di pasar global. Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA) dan Constant Market Share (CMS) digunakan untuk menjawab tujuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Indonesia memiliki pertumbuhan pangsa ekspor kopi terendah dibandingkan dengan negara eksportir utama lainnya. Indeks RCA dan CMS menunjukkan bahwa selama periode penelitian Indonesia relatif memiliki daya saing, meskipun masih relatif lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan negara lainnya.  Upaya yang dapat ditempuh dalam rangka untuk meingkatkan daya saing kopi Indonesia adalah peningkatan produktivitas dan kualitas berbasiskan kekhasan kopi tertentu

    A Study on Affecting Factors of White-Nest Swiftlet (Collocalia fuciphaga) Farming Performance in Haurgeulis District, Indramayu Regency

    Indonesia is a major supplier of the white-nest products. The white-nest products can be originated from Java Island, including Haurgeulis District, Indramayu Regency. White-nest businesses in that area had been developed since 1950s although the productivity subsequently decline in the rate of deforestation of the concession area nowadays. These problems were henceforth set as the focus of the study, based on the inference Malcom Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence (MBCfPE). This study was to recognize the association white-nest business performance. Some internal factors, observed as the predictor factors of business performance, included achievement-motivation factor, strategic planning, technical aspects and technologies, guanxi (personal relationship), and leadership. Surveillance activities were undertaken by using simple random sampling with questionnaire method for collecting the primary data, processed by path analysis method. The test results shown that all of internal factor have significant effect on the performance of the white-nest business by the leadership intervening

    Aquaculture is an alternative of sustainable solution to meet the high demand of fish. One type of fish that is most easily cultivated and preferred by consumers is catfish. West Java Province is the largest producer of catfish, and Bogor is the central area of catfish production in West Java. Parung subdistrict, is one of Minapolitan Area in Bogor which focuses on catfish cultivation. As a Minapolitan Area, it is very important to examine the integration between each institution,examine which institutions involved in the supply chain to gather perfect market information and clear market identification. The objectives of this study are to analyzethe pattern of Sangkuriang catfish trading channel, the function of trading, and the efficiency of the catfish marketing chain. Selection of respondents using purposive sampling, by setting 50 of catfish cultivators as respondents. There are 4 marketing channels in Parung Subdistrict. Institutions involved in the marketing of catfish are cultivators, collecting traders, agents, market traders, Restaurant/Foodstalland end consumers.The second channel (Farmers-Retailers-Restaurant/Food Stall) is the most efficient channel.Shorter marketing chains create higher farmer’s share

Pengolahan hasil untuk memberikan nilai tambah sebagai alternatif meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan belum membudaya. Beberapa kendala teknis, ekonomis, sosial, dan manajerial dihadapi petani. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) melakukan monitoring dan evaluasi terhadap kesejahteraan petani kakao rakyat dan advokasi pengembangan agroindustri mamin kakao, dan (2) Memberikan pendampingan petani dalam pemasaran produk kakao, penataan kelembagaan dan pengendalian mutu. Analisis data menggunakan statistika deskriptif dan analisis Partial Least Square (PLS). Sebagai produsen pemula agroindustri mamin kakao, petani rentan gagal dalam mengembangkan bisnis.
