    The Indonesian Education Units Use of Digital Archives for Records Management

    Background The use of digital archives offers a great opportunity for educational institutions to improve efficiency, transparency and security of important data. Purpose This research aims to examine the role and benefits of digital archives implementation in Indonesian educational institutions, as well as the challenges faced in the digitisation process. Design/method/approach This research is a literature review, which discusses the importance of digital archives through various reference sources, namely Sciencedirect, Emerlad Insight and google schoolar. Results This research provides results on how archive digitisation can improve the management of academic and administrative data, accelerate access to information, and support better decision-making in educational environments. However, challenges such as lack of training, uneven technology infrastructure, and data security issues remain key barriers to the implementation of digital archives. The Indonesian government has initiated various programmes to accelerate this transition, including an integrated digital archive platform and training for educators and administrative staff. Contribution/value This research provides insights into the importance of digital archives in improving the efficiency of education administration and overcoming the challenges of the digital era

    The Concept Map of Independent Learning to Prepare the Golden Generation 2045

    BackgroundThe concept of independent learning is an effort to create a learning environment that is free of expression and free from various pressures, but a fun learning activity. PurposeThe purpose of this research is to describe the concept map of independent learning to prepare the golden generation 2045. Design/method/approachThe method of research is qualitative with literature study techniques. The technique of collecting data is by conducting study studies of books, journals, and articles that are related to the research topic. ResultsThis concept has four aspects that can be used as a basis for preparing this generation. First, the use of technology will make students more critical, active, capable, collaborative, and innovative. Second, the competence of students is needed at the moment. With that competence they have experience, knowledge, they can work faster, problem solving, and they can also adapt very well. Third, the creativity of students will make them more productive, think smart, good work in team, and they can fast adapt to changes. And fourth, with character education, the students become more respectful, learn to be curious, communicative, responsible, and care for the environment.Contribution/valueThe concept enhances students' critical thinking, active participation, collaboration, and innovation through technology, enabling them to solve problems efficiently and adapt quickly to changes

    Developing the Nationalist and Religious Spirit Through the Synergy of the Four Pillars of Education

    Background Education is the foundation in building a complete human civilization, through education a person can gain knowledge, skills and values that are the basis for personal and social life. Nationalism is a form of awareness of love for the land and water that aims to maintain the heritage of Indonesian customs and culture and foster an attitude of integrity in the nation and state. Purpose Cultivate the spirit of nationalism and religiosity through the synergy of the 4 pillars of education (formal education, Islamic education, religious figures, society). Design/method/approach Qualitative and quantitative research models. Results Through the synergy of the four pillars of education, nationalistic and religious nuances of education can be realized . Findings This show that each variable as a whole is declared significant or valid. And the results of the reliability test obtained a Cronbach's Alpha result of 0.836, which means that the instrument used in the reliability test meets the strong category. Contribution/value Education with nationalist and religious nuances can foster students' faith and science and technology

    Background The role of school principals' transformational leadership becomes crucial. Principals who inspire and empower their staff can drive significant changes in school culture and practices. Purpose This study aims to examine the role of transformational leadership model of school principals in implementing Total Quality Management (TQM) to achieve sustainable quality in vocational schools. Design/method/approach The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study at one of the vocational schools in Indonesia. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and literature studies. Results The results of the study indicate that the transformational leadership of the school principal serves as a cornerstone in the implementation of TQM. Principals who adopt a transformational leadership style are able to create a clear vision, empower staff, promote a culture of continuous improvement, and manage change effectively. Effective implementation of TQM results in improved quality of learning, student satisfaction, and enhanced operational performance of the school. Contribution/value This study concludes that transformational leadership is a key factor in the successful implementation of TQM to achieve sustainable quality in vocational schools.dalam mengimplementasikan Total Quality Management (TQM) guna mewujudkan mutu berkelanjutan di sekolah vokasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus pada salah satu sekolah vokasi di Indonesia. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah berkontribusi menjadi tonggak awal dalam penerapan TQM. Kepala sekolah yang mengadopsi gaya kepemimpinan transformasional mampu menciptakan visi yang jelas, memberdayakan staf, mempromosikan budaya perbaikan berkelanjutan, dan mengelola perubahan dengan efektif. Implementasi TQM yang efektif menghasilkan peningkatan mutu pembelajaran, kepuasan siswa, serta peningkatan kinerja operasional sekolah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional merupakan faktor kunci dalam keberhasilan implementasi TQM untuk mencapai mutu berkelanjutan di sekolah vokasi

    Problems of Education Based on 21st Century Education in Indonesia

    Background In this modern era, society has entered a period of technological advancement, where almost everyone can access the internet and utilize artificial intelligence (AI). Purpose This study aims to examine various problems faced by the education system in Indonesia, including infrastructure, teaching staff, efficiency, and misuse of AI technology. Design/method/approach his study uses a literature review or library study type of research. This approach is carried out by collecting data through searching and analyzing articles, books, or literature sources that are relevant to the topic of study. Results Based on the results of the literature review, it was found that the inequality of education infrastructure between urban and rural areas hampers the quality of education, especially in remote areas. In addition, teaching staff who are less trained in the use of technology and uneven distribution also affect the quality of teaching. The issue of educational efficiency is also in the spotlight, where the increasing budget has not been managed optimally. On the other hand, misuse of AI technology can have a negative impact on students' dependence on machines and reduced human interaction in the learning process. Contribution/value Therefore, there needs to be a concrete solution through improving infrastructure, teacher training, and wise management of technology to improve the quality of education in Indonesia

    Navigating Change in Global Education Systems with Innovative Leadership Approaches

    Background Changes in education in the digital era demand leadership that not only adapts to technology but also provides creative solutions responsive to both local and global needs. Purpose This study aims to explore how innovative leadership approaches can help navigate changes in global education systems, with a focus on West Kalimantan. Design/method/approach This research employs a qualitative approach, with data collection through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis in various schools in West Kalimantan. Results The findings indicate that educational leaders who apply innovative approaches, such as integrating technology and enhancing collaboration between teachers and students, are better equipped to overcome the challenges of rapid educational system changes. Moreover, approaches that emphasize collaborative problem-solving contribute to improving teaching and learning quality in schools. In conclusion, innovative leadership plays a crucial role in supporting the transformation of educational systems amidst global change, particularly in regions facing geographical and technological challenges like West Kalimantan. Contribution/value These findings underscore the importance of educational policies that promote innovation and leadership adaptation to meet future challenges

    Implementation of Information Technology in Supporting Kurikulum Merdeka

    Background The information technologies used include the Platform Merdeka Mengajar (PMM), info GTK, Learning Management System (LMS) for Guru Penggerak, and various digital initiatives under the Sekolah Penggerak program. Purpose This study aims to analyze the implementation of information technology in supporting the execution of the Kurikulum Merdeka in schools across Indonesia. Design/method/approach The research employed a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data were obtained from relevant stakeholders, such as teachers, principals, and education staff from several schools that have adopted the Kurikulum Merdeka. Results The results showed that the use of information technology has enhanced the effectiveness of teaching, facilitated collaboration among teachers, and improved access to more diverse and structured learning resources. However, the main challenges include limited infrastructure in some schools and the need to improve digital literacy among teachers and education staff. Contribution/value In conclusion, information technology plays a significant role in supporting the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka, but its success requires adequate infrastructure and enhanced digital skills

    STRATEGI PENGELOLAAN PROGRAM UNGGULAN SEKOLAH DI MA NEGERI

    Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan terkait strategi pengelolaan program unggulan sekolah di MA Negeri 1 Kabupaten Ngawi. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dengan analisis deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasilnya bahwa program unggulan sekolah terdiri dari 2 jenis, yaitu akademik dan non akademik; (2) Landasan penetapan penyelenggaraan program unggulan sekolah dilatarbelakangi oleh aspek pencapaian tujuan lembaga, sosial ekonomi, persaingan antar lembaga, kondisi budaya, serta kebutuhan pembelajaran dan pengembangan siswa; (3) Pada tahap perencanaan program unggulan dilakukan analisis situasi meliputi sosial ekonomi siswa, sarana dan prasarana, kompetensi guru, peluang, tantangan, serta target; (4) Strategi pengorganisasian program unggulan yaitu membentuk struktur organisasi dan tim akademik, membagi tugas dan tanggung jawab tiap anggota; (5) Strategi pelaksanaan program unggulan sekolah yaitu memotivasi, melakukan kerja sama tim, komunikasi yang efektif, serta membangun sinergi antar anggota dengan menerapkan penilaian integritas untuk menjaga kualitas kinerja para anggota; (6) Strategi pengawasan program unggulan sekolah yaitu melaksanakan supervisi internal, mengawasi dan melakukan penilaian kegiatan, mengadakan rapat evaluasi, menetapkan target dan capaian, serta menetapkan indikator keberhasilan program; Dan (7) faktor penghambat dan solusi dalam pengelolaan program unggulan sekolah yaitu kurangnya sumber dana dan sarana prasarana, pandemi COVID-19, serta banyaknya kegiatan dan beban tugas guru. Solusi yang dilakukan yaitu mengajukan permohonan dana, mengatur jadwal penggunaan sarana dan prasarana, memanfaatkan sumber belajar digital, mengatur jadwal pertemuan pembelajaran tatap muka terbatas, serta pemberian memotivasi kepada guru terkait manajemen waktu

    Dalam melaksanakan tugas sebagai pemimpin pendidikan tentu harus memiliki keterampilan maupun kemampuan yang kompeten untuk menjalankan organisasi secara dinamis. Hal tersebut utamanya ketika ada perubahan dalam suatu lingkungan organisasi yang secara langsung atau tidak langsung dapat mempengaruhi organisasi itu sendiri. Pemimpin pendidikan tentunya perlu mencapai prestasi sekolah yang berfungsi untuk meningkatkan kualitas sekolah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari lebih lanjut tentang peran pemimpin dan penerapan manajemen perubahan di bidang organisasi pendidikan. Selain itu, untuk mengkaji pelaksanaan prestasi sekolah yang dapat dicapai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literatur. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa peran pemimpin dalam manajemen perubahan, yaitu membangun hubungan kerja yang efektif, migrasi fungsi manajer (pergeseran), pemimpin dengan memberi contoh, mengembangkan kerja tim, libatkan bawahan dalam pengambilan keputusan, jadikan pemberdayaan karyawan sebagai cara hidup, membangun keterlibatan.     Peran kepala sekolah merupakan hal yang paling penting dalam mewujudkan visi dan misi lembaga pendidikan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian berdasarkan studi pustaka (kepustakaan) data-data yang diperoleh beserta referensi yang didapatkan dari perpustakaan, buku, ensiklopedia, jurnal, dokumen, media sosial, blog, artikel dan majalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru di MTs Darunnajah 02 Cipining Bogor. Strategi kepala sekolah sangat diperlukan dalam meningkatkan kompetensi guru, dengan adanya strategi kepala sekolah maka akan memudahkan kepala sekolah dalam mencapai tujuan yang telah direncanakan. Sehingga dengan adanya strategi serta kompetensi guru yang berkualitas akan memicu peserta didik berkompetensi, berkualitas, dan memiliki daya saing tinggi
