Improving the Accuracy of Coffee Leaf Disease Detection Using Squeezenet and Simam
Early detection of coffee leaf diseases such as leaf rust and Phoma is essential due to its direct impact on crop productivity and quality. Recent studies have shown that lightweight CNN architectures like SqueezeNet are effective for deployment on resource-constrained devices, though they still face limitations in classification accuracy for complex disease types. This study aims to improve the accuracy of coffee leaf disease classification by integrating the SqueezeNet architecture with the SimAM attention module, which enhances feature representation without significantly increasing model complexity. A quantitative experimental approach was used, employing an open-source dataset of coffee leaf images that was augmented and categorized into three classes: healthy leaves, leaf rust, and Phoma. The models were evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. Results show that integrating SimAM into SqueezeNet increased the model’s accuracy from 81% to 84%. The most significant improvements were observed in the leaf rust and Phoma classes, with F1-scores rising from 0.70 to 0.79 and from 0.73 to 0.76, respectively. Additionally, the AUC score improved to 0.91. These results demonstrate that SimAM integration effectively enhances classification performance, though challenges remain in distinguishing classes with visually similar features. Further research is recommended to implement more aggressive data augmentation and regularization techniques to improve model generalization

Modification of Nyamplung Seed Peeling Machine Transmission
Design of a nyamplung seed peeling machine with a 0.5 HP electric motor drive source with 1400 rpm rotation using a Ø76 mm pulley transmission system with a 1:1 ratio with a v-belt type A-24. After testing, it was found that from 100% of the nyamplung seeds there were seeds that were crushed and their contents were not processed, as many as 55% of the nyamplung seeds were found, apart from that when the machine was run there were seeds that were thrown out of the hopper so that the results of the machine design were deemed not to be as expected. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to modify the previous research machine so that the peeling process between the seeds and the nyamplung shell can improve the quality. The results of the modification of the nyamplung seed peeler tool were obtained with a duration of 13 seconds, the number of nyamplung seeds was 25 pcs, of which 17 were peeled. There were 5 pcs of whatever were not peeled, and 3 pcs were crushed. The second trial had a duration of 14 seconds, the number of seeds sampled was 25, 18 were peeled, the remaining 4 were not peeled and 3 were crushed. The third trial lasted 15 seconds out of a total of 25 pieces peeled, the result was 19 pieces peeled and the remaining 2 pieces failed, 4 pieces were destroye

Penerapan Arsitektur Tropis pada Bangunan Shopping Center di Kota Lubuk Pakam, Kabupaten Deli Serdang
Shopping centers are centers of exchange and distribution of goods and services that play an important role in the economic development of a region. This author highlights the role and impact of modern shopping center development on urban development, with a focus on the city of Lubuk Pakam, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. Currently, the city has only one shopping center, Delimas Plaza, which is inadequate to meet the needs of the local community. By considering these conditions, this author proposes the construction of a Shopping Center in Lubuk Pakam by applying a tropical architecture theme. This theme was chosen because it can accommodate the tropical climate and weather in Indonesia. The design of the Shopping Center building is designed with attention to natural lighting and optimal air output. The development of Shopping Center in Lubuk Pakam is expected to have a positive impact on the development of the local economy, such as employment and increased tax revenue. In addition, with a more modern and complete shopping center, it is expected that the local community will no longer need to go to downtown Medan to shop, thus enabling better local economic development and growth

Optimalisasi Desain Atrium dan Façade Melalui Analisis Evakuasi Kebakaran dan Konsumsi Energi
Consideration of the use of the atrium and efforts to reduce room cooling energy were taken into consideration in the design process for the building for the faculty of technology and the department of civil engineering – UAJY. The performance study was carried out using a literature study and simulation approach to be taken into consideration in making design decisions. The atrium design study was carried out on two options, namely designs without and using an atrium. The study was conducted to see the role of the use of the atrium in optimizing natural lighting and fire smoke removal. Façade studies were carried out on four design options to see the performance of each option. Maximum use of the atrium has a positive impact on room lighting and room heat dissipation. The use of a sloping roof on the side where the wind comes from has a positive impact on the efforts to dissipate heat and smoke in the room. The use of a rectangular atrium also functions better in exhausting smoke compared to a box-shaped atrium. Four shading design models have been tested on building façade designs. These four models have a positive impact on reducing space cooling loads. However, a model with minimum performance was chosen, namely a combination of conventional shading with external horizontal blinds, but it is more efficient in terms of the use of materials, costs and building structure, and looks lighter visually
