This research evaluates the implementation of Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic's entry impacted the originally scheduled general elections, which were initially planned for September 23, 2020, but were postponed to December 9, 2020. In response to the pandemic, the General Election Commission (KPU) issued Regulation 13 of 2020 as an adaptation measure. The study employed a qualitative approach with direct observation as the data source. This research aims to evaluate the implementation of the Pilkada by KPU Regulation No. 13 of 2020 and identify potential risks of virus transmission. The study also examines the challenges in KPU's socialization process to the public and candidates during the Pilkada 2020. Activities such as voter education, public participation, and socialization were carried out through various methods, primarily using online media due to limitations in face-to-face socialization to comply with health protocols. The research findings indicate that Pilkada campaigns faced violations of health protocols, which require serious attention to prevent the further spread of the COVID-19 virus. Therefore, innovations are needed in the Pilkada process during the pandemic to ensure the safety and well-being of the community.

Generation Z is the dominant demographic group in Indonesia and is widely known as digital natives, having grown up in the era of digital communication. Their communication patterns tend to prioritize efficiency and are largely visual based; however, this can negatively impact the quality of direct, face-to-face family interactions. A lack of in-person communication increases the risk of excessive internet use and contributes to mental health issues. Effective family communication plays a crucial role in supporting adolescents’ psychological well-being, and one of the key contributing factors is family resilience. Family resilience encompasses belief systems, organizational processes, and communication processes within the family. This study aims to examine the influence of family resilience on family communication among Generation Z in Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed using convenience sampling, involving 210 participants. The instruments used were the Family Communication Scale (FCS) and the Walsh Family Resilience Questionnaire (WFRQ). The analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between family resilience and family communication (R² = 0.84). These findings suggest that stronger family resilience contributes to better family communication quality and may help reduce family conflicts and the negative impacts of excessive technology use

    Get PDF
Entrepreneurship education plays a role in supporting the green economy by developing students who are innovative, independent, and socially responsible. These traits are essential for fostering sustainable business practices, innovation drives the creation of environmentally friendly solutions, independence drives proactive action in addressing environmental challenges, and social responsibility ensures appropriate decision-making with long term ecological impacts. This study examines the effect of a project-based learning model that integrates entrepreneurship and environmental desires on students' entrepreneurial character. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 400 high school students in East Java and analysed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using AMOS. The findings indicate that education significantly increases awareness of green economy principles and supports students' entrepreneurship. However, although entrepreneurial character is positively associated with students' entrepreneurship, the relationship is not statistically significant. Similarly, the green economy contributes to character development, although its direct impact on entrepreneurship is also insignificant. These results highlight the importance of instilling green economy principles in entrepreneurship education as a foundation for building a generation of entrepreneurs committed to innovation, independence, and environmental responsibility
