Public Communication Management for Strengthening The Marketing of MSME Products in Makassar City
This study investigates public communication governance and its role in supporting the marketing of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Makassar City, focusing on multi-actor collaboration, participation dynamics, and communication effectiveness. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with government officials, MSME actors, supporting communities, and associations. Findings show a shift toward a more collaborative and participatory communication model, where MSMEs, communities, and government actors co-create strategies from planning to evaluation. The use of diverse communication channels—from social media and websites to informal networks—has improved MSMEs’ access to promotional programs, training, and policy information. Responsive feedback mechanisms and active stakeholder participation strengthen program relevance and effectiveness. However, persistent challenges remain, including digital literacy gaps, infrastructure limitations, and preferences for conventional communication. These findings underscore the need for adaptive, inclusive, and multi-layered communication strategies tailored to the diverse characteristics of urban MSMEs. The study recommends strengthening digital literacy, institutionalizing cross-sector collaboration, and conducting regular evaluations to sustain public communication innovations. By highlighting the strategic role of local communication governance, this research contributes to Indonesia’s broader agenda of enhancing MSME competitiveness and advancing an inclusive digital economy
The Influence of Firm Size and Macroeconomic Factors on Financial Distress in IDX Public Listed Companies
Post-pandemic global economic uncertainty has heightened the risk of financial distress, particularly in the manufacturing sector, which is vulnerable to macroeconomic pressures. This study aims to analyze the influence of firm size, inflation, and exchange rate on financial distress in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2021–2023 period. The research applies bankruptcy theory and signaling theory to explain the relationships between variables. A quantitative approach was employed using multiple linear regression on 510 observations from 170 companies. The findings reveal that firm size and exchange rate significantly affect financial resilience, while inflation has no significant impact. Large firms are more resistant to financial pressure, and rupiah depreciation benefits export-oriented companies. The novelty of this study lies in its focus on the post-pandemic period an underexplored timeframe and its integration of both internal and external factors in analyzing financial distress. These findings offer practical implications for corporate management in developing growth strategies and adaptive exchange rate risk management to enhance resilience against global economic shocks
Assessing the Implemention Success of Official Travel Management System at Directorat General of Budget, Ministry of Finance, Republic of Indonesia
An effective information system is essential for promoting public service delivery and bureaucratic efficiency. In particular, a strong information system can improve the quality of budget execution in the context of official travel procedures. Using the Information Systems Success Model put forward by DeLone and McLean (2003), this study aims to evaluate the efficacy of the Directorate General of Budget's official travel management system installation. This model states that a number of causally related dimensions, including system quality, information quality, service quality, user satisfaction, and net benefits, can be used to gauge an information system's success. The primary variables in this study are these five dimensions. The Directorate General of Budget has been using the official travel management system since April 2024, but no thorough quantitative study using this model has been conducted as of yet. This study also examines whether user satisfaction mediates system quality, information quality and service quality with regard to net benefits. Data were collected by online survey with Google Forms among 110 staffs who had previously used the system in Directorate General of Budget. The Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method was employed to analyze the data and SmartPLS software was used for investigations. Results suggest that if the technical capability of the system is enhanced to satisfy users’ requirements, then users would be more satisfied and increase overall system performanc

Analysis of Public Sentiment towards the Implementation of Pancasila Legal Philosophy in Indonesian International Diplomacy on Social Media
This study evaluates Indonesian public perceptions of the application of Pancasila Legal Philosophy in international diplomacy through sentiment analysis on Twitter. Using text mining and machine learning algorithms—Naïve Bayes, Support Vector Machine (SVM), and Random Forest—1,000 tweets containing keywords such as “Pancasila diplomacy,” “Indonesia at the UN,” and “Indonesian foreign policy” were collected and classified into positive, negative, and neutral categories. The distribution of sentiment indicates that 60% of tweets express positive perceptions, highlighting pride in Indonesia’s promotion of Pancasila values in global forums, 25% remain neutral, and 15% are negative, reflecting criticism of perceived inconsistencies between Pancasila and diplomatic practice. Model evaluation employed a confusion matrix and metrics of accuracy, precision, and recall across sentiment classes. Results demonstrate that Random Forest outperformed other models with 91% accuracy, stable precision, and recall across all classes. By comparison, SVM achieved 89% accuracy with consistent performance in high-dimensional text data, while Naïve Bayes recorded 85% accuracy but was less effective in handling class imbalance, particularly in neutral–negative distinctions. The Random Forest model explained the greatest variance in sentiment classification, confirming its strength in processing short and contextually complex texts such as tweets. Practically, these findings provide a foundation for developing a real-time sentiment monitoring system to support adaptive and participatory diplomacy. Integrating sentiment analysis into policy design enables the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to anticipate public responses, strengthen diplomacy narratives rooted in Pancasila values, and build a data-driven ecosystem for public diplomacy. This contributes to inclusive, ethical, and responsive foreign policy aligned with Indonesia’s state philosophy.
