Hydrogen Production Simulation From Empty Palm Oil Bunches Using Aspen Plus
A simulation model of biomass gasification for hydrogen production has been further developed using Aspen Plus. The model developed is based on Gibbs free energy minimization using the finite equilibrium method. The objective was to study the effect of important parameters such as gasification temperature, steam to biomass ratio and shift reaction temperature on hydrogen concentration. Simulations were conducted for palm empty bunch feedstock. The simulation results show that the main gas components in the synthetic gas are H₂, CO, CO₂, CH₄. Hydrogen gas increases with increasing temperature, hydrogen concentration increases from 22 kg/hour to 64 kg/hour but CH₄ concentration decreases from 50 kg/hour to 0 kg/hour with increasing temperature from 500-800˚C under 500 kg/hour steam flow rate operation

Evaluasi Fungsi Pedestrian di Kesawan dalam Mendukung Kawasan Heritage Kota Medan
Historic areas play an important role in the cultural and architectural identity of a region. In a historic area, the local government, in this case BPK2LK, conserves historical relics not only in the old building rows, but also in the surrounding area. This aims to provide an area identity to revive and improve the area's economy. In the Kesawan area which is one of the historical areas, the implementation of revitalization of the area by widening the pedestrian area. This is to provide comfort and activate the pedestrian function as a support for the historic tourism area in Kesawan. But an evaluation study is needed on the effectiveness of the function of the pedestrian path, on the basis of observations there are several congestion problems due to smaller vehicle lanes and the quantity of vehicles that increase every day. Another problem is that there is no bus stop, so public transportation uses the road to lower and raise passengers. Pedestrians who are already larger and more comfortable, have not increased the quantity of pedestrians. The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of the success of the pedestrian function in the Kesawan area after the pedestrian area underwent reconstruction. Research methods carried out with qualitative and quantitative approaches through field surveys, interviews, questionnaires, statistical data processing. The analysis was carried out using SWOT analysis to get a comprehensive picture of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the function of pedestrian paths in historic areas. The research output shows the success of changes to road widening in the pedestrian area in Kesawan which shows 85% stated that pedestrians in the area feel comfortable with the presence of street furniture. This facility allows pedestrian users to enjoy the historic area in the area. However, there are still some shortcomings such as poor facilities such as the lack of trash bins that make this area less clean. Nevertheless, this widening area can be recommended to the community to maximize the use of pedestrians

Payang is one of the fishing gears used by fishermen in Pasie Nan Tigo Village. The utilization of production factors contributes to an increase in the catch of payang fishermen. This study aims to identify the factors influencing the catch of payang fishermen and to determine the scale of their business operations in Pasie Nan Tigo Village. The research employed a survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, supported by classical assumption tests and the Cobb-Douglas production function. The results indicate that the production factors significantly influencing the catch of payang fishermen are the duration of fishing trips (X2), the number of settings (net deployments) (X3), and the number of crew members (X4). Meanwhile, the length of the net bag (X1) and the fishermen's work experience (X5) were found to have no significant effect on the catch. The coefficient of determination shows that 75.4% of the variation in catch is explained by the model, while the remaining 24.6% is influenced by other factors not included in the model. The Return to Scale (RTS) value of 1.072 indicates an increasing return to scale, meaning that an increase in input results in a more than proportional increase in output
