    The purpose of this research is to find out the strategies in enhancing the quality of services of PT. SchenkerPetrologUtama which is focused on cargo handling. This research is using SWOT analysis to find out the internal and external factors of PT. Schenker. They are the company’s good image, good relations with the customers, owned-vast capacity warehouse, insurance-sent goods, and the company’s well-documented shipment. On the other hand, it is also found that the company has some weaknesses such as lack of transport owned by the vendor, lack of supervised-material system, undetailed-packing process, less communication and coordination between branches and the minimum number of vendors. The external factors start with the opportunity owns by PT. Schenker which are the vast developing of delivery services, the varieties of exhibition and other events, the fast growing business of technology and information, joining other companies’ tender, and the increasing number of local mover companies. However, PT. Schenker also has some threats due to the fast growing of other cargo handling companies, the movement of employees to other division, the disloyal vendors, the time constraints in sending goods, and the consequences (delay) met in Customs and Immigrations. Based on the quadrant, the proposed strategies should be used by the company are aggressive and intensive. They are market expansions, market and product development

    The purpose of the research is to analyze the customers’ satisfaction of Garuda Indonesia. It is hoped that by giving Service Quality, the passengers of Garuda Indonesia will perform loyalty and always fly with the airlines. This research is using primary data from 100 respondents of Garuda Indonesia’s passengers. The data is collected by distributing questionnaires to the respondents. The research variables are taken from service quality (SERVQUAL) and Customer Satisfaction. Then the data is analysed with quantitative analysis by scoring and calculating the percentage of both variables. Based on the result, each score of attribution of the service quality has given outstanding value. The passengers are satisfied with the service given by Garuda Indonesia. The service quality which consists of five different variables: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy has shown the significance attribution of the customer satisfaction with the highest score achieved is Responsiveness (17, 13%)

    PENGARUH VOLUME KARGO IMPOR TERHADAP TINGKAT IRREGULARITY BARANG IMPOR

    This study is aimed to find out how much influence the import cargo of PT Indonesia Air Asia to the import goods irregularity. The researchers used 2 data collective methods which are field research and library research. Then, the data is analyzed using linearity regression, coefficient correlation, determinant coefficient and hypothesis test. The result showed that there is a low relation between import cargo volume and irregularity based on linearity regression; Y = 5.220 + 0.001 X. Coefficient correlation analysis r = 0.01 means that there is no correlation between X and Y. The determinant coefficient in 1 % showed that the contribution of cargo volume to the irregularity is 1 % while 99 % is the other factors. The last result is hypothesis test which showed t count < t table (0.031 < 1.812). It means that Ho is accepted and of course Ha is rejected. The conclusion of the results is that there is a low and negative relation between import cargo volume and the irregularity goods of PT Indonesia Air Asia

    In recent years, the world has witnessed a growing concern over the issue of safety culture within aviation and other complex, high-risk industries. The purpose of this study is to find out the roles of safety culture from safety behavior with the system of safety to reach zero accident. The method used in this study is case research or field study, with descriptive explanation, quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data had been gathered from the calculation of safety percentage level (Cooper) while qualitative data was taken from observation and field interviews.The highest percentage for safety at GSE is 95% and the lowest is 52.5%. The whole result shows that safety above 50% means that there’s still awareness of safety behavior by using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and this still needs to be maximized more. Organization safety system is already executed and well documented even though deviations are still found in the operation execution.It is hoped that this study will enable researchers and safety professionals to have a better understanding and assess safety culture which will facilitate the sharing of information and strategies for improving safety culture across organizations and industries

    Delay is supposedly not to be a usual thing. The researchers, using the field research and literature method and fishbone analysis, found five factors: first, the obstacles in processing wheelchair for passenger arrivals with percentage at 86.8%; second, no wheelchair for passenger from the employees with a percentage of 81.6%; third, insufficient time to process the services with a percentage of 78.9%; fourth, the inadequate number of wheelchair with a percentage of 60.5%; the last, wheelchair passengers had to wait to use the lift with a percentage of 63.16%. To overcome these, the management should add the employees number and the overtime hours, re-set the absent matches with airline flight schedule, provide employees training, increase the number of wheelchair, repair the broken wheelchair, and convey complaints from passengers using wheelchair to Angkasa Pura II to increase the number of existing lifts

    This research is conducted to find out how big is the role of foreign direct investment and domestic  for economic growth in Indonesia during the period 2004 – 2013 by using static model analysis with Ordinary Least Square regression. The result of the sectoral analysis  that  foreign direct investment and domestic transportation sector does not influence  the Indonesian economic growth .  It’s because of risk in country factor, that is small domestic  markets  that cause lower rate of return and lack of supporting facilities such as infrastructure and transportation, skilled employees, and technology.  Factor inhibiting the influx of investment also is a problem of economic  instability, political, security and legal certainty.The result of the multi sector analysis that  foreign direct  investment  and  domestic  for overall sectors  of the economy does influence the Indonesian  economic  growth with using a significance level of 10%.  Besides domestic  savingshas very strong influence to economic growth both for sectoral and multi sector analysis

    TransJakarta BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) is expected by the government of DKI Jakarta to be the fast, safe, comfortable, reliable and reachable public transportation. This regulation is highly expected to impact on decreasing the traffic jam in Jakarta. The purpose of the study is to find out the efficiency and effectiveness of TransJakarta route 10, PGC Cililitan – Tanjung Priok Terminal (19, 4 km), in giving solutions to traffic jam especially in the rush hours. Based on the result, there is no significance differences in the cost of the trip before and after the TransJakarta route 10 opened. The only difference happens to the time used. Before the Transjakarta, the time used for reaching Tanjung Priok Terminal was 50, 74 minutes. But, after the government provides TransJakarta, Jakartans can get there in 40, 18 minutes. The speed of TransJakarta is 27 to 48 km/hour which is more efficient than the other public transportations (28.98 km/hour). 71, 43 respondents stated that the comfort of TransJakarta is good and 78, 57 respondents said that the safety is also good

    Road Transportation Terminal Unit businessis the operational hub terminals in Jakarta. Unit Road Transportation Terminal Unit businesshas a direct responsibility to the Head of Jakarta Transportation Department which is under and directly responsible to the Governor of DKI Jakarta through the secretary. This study was conducted to determine the performance level of employees of Road Transportation Terminal Unit businessin 2013. The study is using the method of fishbone analysis. Analysis and discussion of the results obtained the conclusion that the percentage of main categories for human resources was 55.56%. It stated that the task sequence has not been implemented properly. The percentage of main categories for engine was 58.33%. It stated that the use of an official car to carry out the task of day-today has not been effective yet. Ultimately, the percentage of main categories for motivation was 83.33%. It stated that it is needed to apply a reward and punishmentsystem
