    The aim of this study is to understand business strategic to increase sales of a freight forwarding company. Freight forwarding engaged in both export and import. Facing to competition every freight forwarding company must have a business strategy in order to increase sales of cargo delivery services. The strategy is designed through SWOT analysis by knowing internal (IFE) and external (EFE) factors of the company using 30 samples of Federal Express’ employees. In the SWOT analysis in increasing the company's cargo shipping service the company is positioned among Strenghts-Opportunity by harnessing the power to seize and exploit the greatest opportunities. Through the IE matrix, the company is in a position to grow and build alternative strategies that can be applied are forward integration, backward integration, horizontal integration, product development, market development, market penetration, and related diversification

    Taking into consideration the geographical location of West Sumatra is prone to natural disasters, the Indonesian government and communities should prepare well for dealing with natural disasters that may be happen anytime. One of preparedness needs to be done is to determine the entry point of logistical assistance as well as delivery route during the emergency response phase. Therefore, this research was conducted to plan for the logistics distribution during emergency response, designed by the World Food Program (WFP) as NGOs and leader of the international humanitarian community's logistics coordination and response. This research used a qualitative descriptive analysis technique to describe the airports and ports to be used, as well as the transportation. As the result, Medan nominated as the main entry point for international actors while Jakarta as the main entry point of national actors.     PT. DHL Global Forwarding is a freight forwarder company which is engaged in freight forwarding, logistics and freight both exports and imports. The issue discussed in this research is the influence of the data repair (redress) to the on-time clearance at PT. DHL Global Forwarding Indonesia in 2015. The purpose of the study was to determine the influence of the data repair (redress) to the on-time clearance. To gain the result, the writers use qualitative methods of Logical Framework Approach (LFA). Writers collected data through observation and interview given to 5 employees as samples. By using the LFA analysis, it is shown that the improvement of data (redress) greatly affects on-time clearance, due to the improvement of data (redress) indicates that the data are subject to rejection so it takes 1-5 days to process correction which means exceeds the Key Performance Indicator (KPI)

    The objective of this study is to find out and analyze the company’s internal and external strategic factors in optimizing warehouse usage at PT. Birotika Semesta.  The method used in this study was the SWOT analysis method.  The result of the study shows that by internal and external matrix (IE), PT Birotika Semesta is at the cell / quadrant IV with total internal strategic factors of 3.21 and the total result of external strategic factors of 2.65 that the company is in developing state.  Therefore, the strategy applied in the company is Grow and Build.  Based on the research analysis result from 4-quadrant SWOT matrix, the position of the company is at quadrant I, formed from the intersection of the positive horizontal axis, which is the company’s strength factor at 0.62 and positive vertical axis which is business opportunities at 0.58.  The most suitable strategy is used by the company; S-O (Strength – Opportunities) strategies which is relying on the company’s strengths to maximize all the available business opportunities

    The objective of this research is to find out the effect of bus fleet maintenance towards the operational stability in PT. Primajasa. Data collection methods applied in this research were field research and library study. Data were analyzed by using simple regression analysis techniques, coefficient correlation analysis, coefficient determinant, and hypothesis testing. The result of the research shows that the linier regression equation Y = 5.603 + 0.880 X. In every increase of bus fleet maintenance, it is followed by an increase in operation stability in 0.880 in constants of 5.603. The correlation coefficient of bus fleet maintenance towards the operation stability is positive and strong in 0.710. The correlation of bus fleet maintenance towards the operation stability is strong and positive since it is affected by operational stability of 50.4% while the 49.6% are affected by other factors

    The aim of the research is to be able to assess the activities undertaken by terminal operators because of the expected operational performance standard.. The problem of the research is that the operators or employees do not meet the expected standards of performance that have been set at Mustika Alam Lestari Terminal (MAL). This research used Developmental descriptive method. From the result of the study, there are four  indicators that have not  reached the standard of performance. First, waiting time (idle time) with standard 1 hour waiting time in 2016 which reached about 1.35 hours in which the results exceeds the standard set and declared by MALwhich  is not good. Second, it is about ET: BT (Effective Time: Birthing Time) with a standard of 75% though  in 2016 Mustika Alam Lestari  reached about 73%. Third, the standard of 24 boxes Box/Crane/Hour of Mustika Alam Lestari in 2016 only reached an average of 19.63 boxes.  The last is for delivery of containers with the standard set about 45 minutes but Mustika Alam Lestari terminal in 2016 reached  56.17 minutes for delivering the container. The sanctions or solutions made by the port authority as a regulator is to identify the performance of employees or operators that have not reached the expected standard and PT. Mustika Alam Lestari must provide an assessment or evaluation for improving employees performance

    This research is done to find out the direct and indirect influences of corporate image, user image, and aviation product image towards consumers’ loyalty.  The samples used were gathered from 100 respondents coming from Facebook accounts that are linked to official aviations services accounts.  The result shows that the corporate image, user image and aviation product image influences towards consumers’ loyalty scale is 61.3% and has a significant effect. The scale is the result of the Trimming mode path analysis by eliminating one exogenous variable which has no significant effect; that is the corporate image. From the two variables which have significant effect to consumers’ loyalty, the product’s image has the biggest effect with 39.1% percentage

    DAMPAK PROGRAM GARUDA MILES TERHADAP LOYALITAS PELANGGAN PT GARUDA INDONESIA

    This study aims to find out the effect of Garuda Miles Program to the customers’ loyalty. The research was using hypothesis testing. The method used was a simple linear regression analysis with a total sample of 30 people. The result of the research shows that the effect of Garuda Miles Program to the customers’ loyalty with regression equation y is 6.86 + 0.8x. The Garuda Miles Program has a very strong and positive influence on customers’ loyalty shown by r = 0.81. Customers’ loyalty has been affected by Garuda Miles program of 65.61% (coefficient determination), while the remaining 35.39% is determined by other factors. The result of the hypothesis test is t –count > t-table (12.59> 2,048). Therefore, there is a significant influence of Garuda Miles Program to the customers’ loyalty

    The objective of this research is to find out the influence of training variables of Occupational Health and Employee Performance. Data collection method used in this research was field research methods with a population of 30 respondents. Both methods of data analysis were also applied by using multiple linear regression analysis, validity test, reliability test, t-test, f-test, and coefficient determination. The issue discussed in this research is the lack of employee training in understanding the Occupational Safety Health in the warehouse. The results of analysis and discussion shows a proportional relationship between training of Occupational Safety and employee performance that the level of relationship variables belong to the strong category and Occupational Safety Health gives significant influence to employee performance variable

    The purpose of this study was to determine the cause of delay cargo and its effect on employee performance. Some business owners in Indonesia, conduct export and import that aims to expand its business branch or to obtain raw materials that are not available in the country to obtain higher quality products. Transportation is the transfer of people or goods from one place to another by using a vehicle driven by man or machine. Sea transport has been chosen by the business owners to send raw materials and finished goods belong to them. Nowadays, demand of export cargo by sea is increase, because shipping cargo using sea transport gives an affordable cost and has a greater capacity than other transport. The writer analyzes the influence of punctuality delivery of export cargo to the level of employee performance in PT Schenker Petrolog Utama, Surabaya branch. The writer used a simple linear regression method with quantitative approach to see the influence and between variables. The result of this research is by 43,4% delay cargo affected the performance of employees, and by 56,7% affected by other factors
