    Model Penilaian Pemasok Bahan Olah Karet (Bokar)

    Crumb rubber industry only depends on one main raw material that is called Bahan Olah Karet (Bokar). Based on the observation of several crumb rubber factories in West Sumatera, the company still uses an unsystematic way of choosing the suppliers of bokar. The weakening of the supplier’s supervision system causes bokar that received by the company, in terms of quality and quantity are not met properly. The way to solve these issues is to develop a fuzzy model for supplier assessment of bokar. The first step is the identification of criteria using FDM. Then developing a mathematical model. This research has been successfully developed a mathematical model where FAHP is used to determine the weight of supplier assessment criteria, combined with signed distance at the defuzzification stage. While FTOPSIS is used to obtain suppliers ranking. Through the survey using FDM, we obtain 6 main criteria and 18 subcriteria which relevant to the conditions of the crumb rubber industry in West Sumatera

    This study aims to design a model by providing several policy alternatives that are useful to assist the government in determining appropriate policies in increasing patchouli oil production from the supply aspect. The supply to be studied is patchouli plantations. The plantation is one of the important aspects affecting patchouli oil production. The choice of alternatives is based on testing alternative policies on a computerized model. Patchouli plantation models are made in line with real systems using system dynamics. From the results of the study, there are several policy alternatives that can be taken by the government, policies related to land expansion and conversion, policies related to increasing agricultural production, policies related to human resource improvement, policies related to agricultural equipment assistance and policies related to the use of superior seeds in plantations

    Penjadwalan Flow Shop untuk Meminimasi Total Tardiness Menggunakan Algoritma Cross Entropy–Algoritma Genetika

    Flow shop scheduling problems much studied by several researchers. One problem with scheduling is the tardiness. Total tardiness is the performance to minimize tardiness jobs. it is the right performance if there is a due date. This study proposes the Cross-Entropy Genetic Algorithm (CEGA) method to minimize the mean tardiness in the flow shop problem. In some literature, the CEGA algorithm is used in the case of minimizing the makespan. However, CEGA not used in the case of minimizing total tardiness. CEGA algorithm is a combination of the Cross-Entropy Algorithm which has a function to provide optimal sampling distribution and Genetic Algorithms that have functions to get new solutions. In some numeric experiments, the proposed algorithm provides better performance than some algorithms. For computing time, it is affected by the number of iterations. The higher the iteration, computing requires high time

    The geographical condition of Sungai Pisang Village located on the coastal fringe and not too far from the famous island tourism which potential in West Sumatera becomes an opportunity for the people of Sungai Pisang, especially the fishermen to increase their standard of living. But in reality, the outsiders in the Bungus area are more likely to take advantage of the opportunity because of their location close to the city center. The tourists can only be seen from afar by biduk fishermen of Sungai Pisang. Most tourists prefer to use Tour and Travel services from Bungus area. Biduk fishermen are only bringing few tourists to the island tour even though the price offered is much cheaper. Based on preliminary study, there are problems such as the lack of knowledge of the fisherman on the effective product marketing strategy. So far, there are no marketing tools to promote the transportation services of biduk fisherman to the island tourism in the Sungai Pisang broadly. Therefore, it is necessary to design a marketing information system for island tourism biduk.  The marketing information system is a mobile web-based designed using PHP programming language and supported by the MySQL database.     Usulan Penerapan Total Productive Maintenance pada Mesin Turbin Gas

    Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is one of the tools to enhance the effectiveness of the utilization rate of machinery and equipment in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). TPM is a principle of management to improve productivity and efficiency of the production company to use the machine effectively. This study measures the value of OEE on gas turbine engine Centaur 50 C3344 which held on operation and maintenance section in PT Perta Samtan Gas Kilang Ekstraksi NGL Prabumulih in the period, followed by analyzing the value of using Pareto analysis of the results obtained by the root causes of the OEE. The conclusion that the value of the analysis results obtained on average exceeded the standard value of OEE 85.63% from 85%, even though in one period the value of OEE less than standard (22.63%). Factors that may experience rapid drop predicted loss is breakdown losses 382 hours (46.53%) and idling minor stoppages  373 hours (45.43), reduce speed 48 hours or 5.85%, rework losses  13 hours or 1.58%, and set up and adjustment losses  5 hours or 0.61%.  As a result of which may not have an impact in a short time, but will immediately attack the machine if there is no treatment of maintenance as continuously and directly

    The use of computers in PT X, especially in the IT department (Information and Technology) has reached 98% of work activities. In the results of the questionnaire using the Nordic Body Map and interviews with employees, it is known that employees experience back pain by 100%, neck 90%, waist 80%, and eye disorders caused by the physical environment. This study used the Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA) method as a measurement tool. ROSA is a quick analysis to measure work risks associated with computer use and determine the level of change in cases of worker discomfort. The measurement results show the final ROSA score is above 7. This means that IT work facilities are not in accordance with the standards of ergonomics, ROSA, and the Ministry of Health No. 48 of 2016 which is a very risky condition and can reduce work productivity. Proposed improvements to minimize workplace risks and increase productivity include improvements to working facilities such as chairs, document holders and tables, location and position of facilities, improvement of the physical work environment such as temperatures to 18 °C, lighting 350 lux, bright color walls of the room and improving employee work postures

    Analysis of Inventory Control by Using Economic Order Quantity Model – A Case Study in PT Semen Padang

    Inventory control is a very important issue. It is because the amount of inventory will determine or affect the smoothness of the production process as well as the effectiveness and efficiency of the company. PT Semen Padang is a manufacturing company that produces 10,400,000 tons of cement per year. The achievement of the cement production target at this company depends on the availability of raw materials needed in the cement production process itself. Gypsum is an additional material of the cement production process which is very important because it is a raw material that must exist in the process of making cement. So, if the inventory of gypsum cannot meet the needs of production, then the production process of cement making will be disrupted. PT Semen Padang is using the Min-Max method for inventory control. But the costs are quite high. The cost of inventory can be minimized by using another method such as EOQ (Economic Order Quantity). The conclusions of this research are in 2016 by using EOQ method, the optimal order quantity is 32,073 ton per order, and the frequency is 9 times in a year with total cost Rp. 4,757,673,813.48, and in 2017, the optimal order quantity is 34,856 tons per order and the frequency is 9 times in a year with total cost Rp. 9,694,805,608.36

    Pemodelan Struktural Niat Implementasi Standar Halal Pengusaha UKM Pangan Berdasarkan Faktor Teknologi, Organisasi, dan Lingkungan

    The objective of this study is to model the technological, organizational, and environmental factors influencing the intention of food manufacturing Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to fulfill halal standard requirements. The research was conducted in Surakarta city in which halal-certified SMEs became the research object. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Model-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Technological factors were measured by the perceived benefit and complexity of the halal procedure. An organizational factor was measured by SMEs awareness towards the halal standards. While the environmental factor was measured using external pressure. The result shows that the estimated model found support only for the role of perceived benefit of halal standard implementation in influencing the intention of food manufacturing SMEs to fulfill halal standard requirements. Other hypotheses were in the predicted direction but not statistically significant. A little less than half (R2 = 0.413) of the variability in the intention to fulfill halal standard requirements is explained by the four variables. The structural model in this study has a predictive relevance at a moderate level with a Q2 value of 0.208. Based on the findings of this study, it is expected that the government always explains the benefits of adopting a halal standard to the food manufacturing SMEs. Theoretically, this study makes a contribution to enriching the research literature regarding halal certification adoption factors among food manufacturing SMEs

    Aplikasi Terapi Wicara bagi Remaja Penyandang Disabilitas Intelektual Ringan

    There are more than three million people in Indonesia who have speech disorders. Speech disorders are also experienced by people with intellectual disabilities, who need speech therapy to practice their expressive speech skills. However, the current types of speech therapy, in general, are not easily accessible and require considerable cost. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to provide a speech therapy tool that can be accessed easily and requires low cost. This research designs a mobile application as a speech therapy tool for teenagers with mild intellectual disability. The design process began with the identification of user needs, followed by the design of application concepts using a design workshop. The best concept was developed into a prototype, which was then evaluated through a usability testing, using effectiveness, efficiency, learnability, memorability, and accessibility as the evaluation criteria. Based on the evaluation, the effectiveness of the application is 82.2% and its efficiency is 78.9%. Meanwhile, the learnability and memorability of the application consecutively score 80% and 94.4%. These results show that the application has a good level of accessibility. Evaluation was also conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire, which resulted in a total score of 74 (acceptable). In addition, interviews were conducted to identify remaining flaws that were subsequently used as a basis for design improvement of the application

    Model Optimasi Perancangan Jaringan Rantai Pasok Biomassa dari Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit di Sumatera Barat

    West Sumatra has great potential in developing biomass based on palm oil waste. This is because the largest plantation production in West Sumatra comes from the oil palm commodity of 1,082,820 tons in 2014. Therefore, it is necessary to design a model of supply chain biomass network for the distribution of Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB) from CPO factory suppliers located in West Sumatra and distributed to Depot Pertamina Teluk Kabung. Stages performed in the implementation of this study began with a preliminary study to determine the potential of biomass in West Sumatra. Furthermore, the design of chain supply chain optimization model by identifying supply chain activity, knowing the characteristics of supply chain system and make the formulation of mathematical model. The design of supply chain biomass from Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB) in West Sumatera, starting from raw material Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS) sourced from Crude Palm Oil (CPO) factory in West Pasaman Regency and surrounding. This is because Pasaman Barat Regency is the central agroindustry of oil palm plantation which has 17 most palm oil factories in West Sumatra. The potential of bioethanol derived from CPO waste can be done by establishing bioethanol plant located with the same CPO factory so that it is adjacent to the source of the raw material. The result of the mathematical model mixed integer linear programming is placement of bioethanol plant location at PT Pasaman Marama Sejahtera with medium scale and total cost of IDR 251,563,700,000.00
