    Digital Zakat Payment: User Experience of Islamic Bank in Indonesia

    Zakat plays an important role in Islamic social financial institutions. So far, the receipt and payment of zakat has been carried out in many areas, starting from places of worship, social organizations, zakat institutions, to business institutions. In the modern era, the number of media and digital zakat payment centers has mushroomed, so that people have several alternatives. Therefore, this study aims to explore the experience of users of digital zakat services, especially Islamic banks in Indonesia. To achieve research objectives, the authors use descriptive analysis. The research was conducted by distributing online questionnaires using the Google form. The questionnaire survey was conducted for five weeks, from July to August 2022. The sample for this study was 100 digital payment users at Islamic banks. Users are divided into three sections; they are users of m-banking, ATM, and both. Limitations/implications of this study using a relatively small sample size compared to the size of the Indonesian population. Thus, the results must be interpreted with the observed sample. Practical Implications Islamic banks should ensure that their system is easy for people to make zakat payments online. Originality/value This study offers new insights related to quantitative studies on digital zakat and the behavior of zakat payers, especially in Indonesia

    Analysis of the Influence of Investment, Premium Income, and Tabarru' Funds on Sharia Insurance Company Profits

    This study aims to determine investment, premium income, and tabarru funds on profits of sharia life insurance companies in Indonesia. This study tested the hypothesis which stated that there was an effect of investment, premium income, and tabarru funds on profits. This data collection technique uses a purposive sampling technique with certain criteria. The population in this study were 24 sharia life insurance companies registered with the Financial Services Authority and the sample in this study were 6 sharia life insurance companies. Data analysis technique using multiple linear regression analysis. The research results showbased on the results of the regression test and t test investment has a positive and significant effect on insurance company profits. The tcount value is positive, meaning that the higher the investment, the higher the profit earned by the sharia life insurance company.Based on the results of the regression test and the t test, premium income has a positive and significant effect on insurance company profits. The tcount value is positive, meaning that the higher the premium income, the higher the profit earned by the sharia life insurance company.Based on the results of the regression test and t test, tabarru funds have a negative and significant effect on insurance company profits. The tcount value is negative, meaning that the higher the Tabarru fund, the lower the profit earned by the sharia life insurance company

    Application of the CIPPO Evaluation Model in the Islamic Religious Education Study Program

    Universities are required to improve quality, one of which is through accreditation. This study aims to evaluate the quality in the face of accreditation and analyze the constraints and supporting factors. This type of research is evaluation research and uses a qualitative approach. The assessment method is done through document studies, interviews, and observations. The data analysis technique used descriptive qualitative analysis. The study results recommend that the Islamic Religious Education Study Program arrange steps for accreditation preparation using the nine criteria instrument. Context evaluation includes changes to accreditation instruments and curriculum changes. Evaluation of inputs, human resources, infrastructure, and financial accessibility meets quality standards, only lacking in the number of study-based lecturers. The criteria for evaluating the process, learning process, research, and community service have met the quality standard. Criteria for evaluating products scientific works like articles, research journals, books, and publications. Evaluation criteria for outcome components that the quality of study programs is assessed from the competitiveness of graduates and the performance of graduates for the community of stakeholders have met quality standards. The quality evaluation constraint found that the ratio of the number of lecturers was not based on the study program. At the same time, the supporting factor was the increasing number of integrated online services

    Analysis of Implementation of SKKNI Sub Funding and Services for Graduate of Vocation in Banking Sector

    The Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI) are efforts to produce graduates ready for work according to industry needs. This includes the SKKNI for the sub-field of Funding and Services, covering four levels of qualifications for a prospective banker that include Teller, Customer Service, Funding Sales Representative, and Funding Product Development Manager. This study aims to determine the implementation of the SKKNI for Sub Financing and Services for Diploma III graduates at the current SMK level. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using observation and interview methods for data collection. The population in this study were all commercial banks and Islamic banks in Yogyakarta. From the questionnaires distributed to users, fourteen banks consisted of 9 (nine) conventional banks, and 5 (five) Islamic banks filled out the questionnaire. Constraints in the application of the SKKNI are caused by the qualifications of the positions regulated in the SKKNI. The gap between the provisions in the SKKNI and the regulations in force in banking is an obstacle for vocational schools in preparing graduates who meet industry demands

    Student Science Process Skills through the Application of Computer Based Scaffolding assisted by PhET Simulation

    Basic physics practicum learning through virtual laboratories is less than optimal in developing students' science process skills. This study reveals the results of improving students' science process skills based on the application of computer scaffolding assisted by PhET simulation. This study uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 14 students through purposive sampling technique. The research stages consist of introduction, implementation, and evaluation. Collecting data through interviews, tests, and observations. Data analysis using the N-gain test. The results showed an increase in students' science process skills on several indicators with various categories. The indicator is observing 0.49 (medium category), formulating hypotheses 0.34 (medium category), carrying out experiments 0.39 (medium category), data interpretation and analysis 0.42 (medium category), communicating 0.33 (medium category), and concluded 0.29 (low category). Computer-based scaffolding with PhET simulation is an online learning solution that can also be collaborated with offline learning to improve students' science process skills

    Analysis of Learning Enthusiasm Evaluation Through Group Investigation in Learning Quality

    The Group Investigation model is a cooperative model to develop an enthusiasm for learning. Problems in the field from interviews with students of SMP 1 Indramayu were found to be as follows: lack of group collaboration, less responsiveness, lack of attention, sleepiness so that it can be concluded that there is a lack of enthusiasm for students in learning. The purpose of this research is to analyze the indicators of the most dominant learning enthusiasm if learning is carried out through Group Investigation to solve problems in the places observed. The research method is descriptive qualitative analysis. A questionnaire instrument measured the four indicators. The subject of the research is class VIII Middle School 1 Indramayu. Data collection techniques are data collection, data presentation, conclusions. The results show that from the four indicators of enthusiasm, the indicator that got the highest percentage (83%) was students' enthusiasm in noting important things as teaching materials at home. The conclusion of the enthusiasm indicator in the form of student learning enthusiasm in recording important things is the most dominant when learning is implemented through Group Investigation. Thus, it is necessary to improve learning through group discussions in the future

    Islamic Conception in The Utilization of Cocoa Pulp Waste As Basic Ingredients of Vinegar

    Vinegar is a liquid containing acetic acid from fruits or other agricultural products through a multistage fermentation process. Cocoa pulp liquid waste with high sugar content can be used as raw material for various products such as vinegar through a biotechnology approach. This process is one of the efforts to utilize and at the same time overcome environmental pollution by utilizing the services of microbes that produce acetic acid. In the context of the use of natural resources, including the use of waste, this is relevant to Allah's command so that humans can make practical use of all His blessings as stated in the Qur'an. On the other hand, as a food ingredient, vinegar has a critical halal point that needs to be reviewed based on the process. This review describes the production process of vinegar produced through the processing of cocoa pulp waste and an Islamic review of the product to follow the concept of food safety in Islam, namely halal and thayyib

    Computer Game-Based Learning Media as a Strategy to Increase Students' Motivation Learning

    The success of teaching and learning activities is determined by one of the methods and media of learning. This study aims to determine the needs of learning media, develop learning media based on computer games, and determine the effectiveness of learning media based on computer games on students' motivation and interest in learning. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D), referring to the ADDIE development model. Data collection techniques using observation and questionnaires. The data analysis technique is done by analyzing the questionnaire. The results showed that students needed new learning media with the criteria of using computer technology, game-based, having a colorful display, involving an active role in student participation, easy to operate, equipped with characters, login, and voice access rights. A computer game-based learning media application has been developed called "BEBEB" with a very proper assessment from Media Experts and Material Experts. The effectiveness of the "BEBEB" application as a learning media based on computer games increased learning motivation by 16.5% and interest in learning by 24.33%. The study results indicate that the development of computer-based learning media as a strategy to increase students' motivation and interest in learning at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Andong Boyolali has been able to be implemented properly. This implies that teachers need to provide learning media that can arouse students' motivation and interest in learning, one of which is using computer game-based learning media

    The Influence of Motivation, Discipline, and Leadership on Village Apparatus Performance

    The performance of village officials is one of the main indicators of the quality of village government services. The performance of village officials is influenced by many factors, both internal and external. This study aimed to analyze whether motivation, work discipline, leadership, work motivation, and leadership of the village head influenced performance. The population of this research is all village officials in Karaskepoh, Doropayung, Jeruk, and Tuyuhan Villages, Pancur District, and Rembang Regency. The number of village officials is 30 people. In this study, all samples were used due to the small number of populations. The type of data used in this research is a quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis. This study concludes that work motivation, work discipline, leadership, and work for motivation, discipline, and leadership significantly affect performance in Karaskepoh, Doropayung, Jeruk, and Tuyuhan Villages Pancur District, Rembang Regency. Thus, in the future, to improve the performance of village officials, it is necessary to increase work motivation, increase discipline, and need leadership attitudes.

    Competitive Advantage: Influence of Innovativeness, Marketing Sensing Capabilities and Brand Image on Marketing Performance MSE’s

    Marketing performance is one of the important factors in realizing business goals. Marketing performance is influenced by various factors. This study aims to determine the effect of innovation, marketing sensing ability and brand image on competitive advantage to realize marketing performance. This research is based on a case study of Batik MSEEs in Central Java. This study uses data analysis The Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with the number of samples used as many as 169 respondents. The results of this study indicate that innovation, marketing sensing ability, brand image, have a positive and significant effect on competitive advantage. Innovation, marketing sensing ability, brand image, competitive advantage proved to have a significant positive effect on Marketing Performance. Thus, to improve marketing performance, MSMEs need to improve innovation, marketing sensing capabilities and brand image for competitive advantage
