Analysis of Distance Learning Management during the Covid-19 Pandemic
The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in a change in the learning system which was originally carried out face-to-face and replaced with distance learning or online. The purpose of this research is to describe distance learning management (planning, implementing, and controlling), the constraints that arise and the solutions to overcome them. The research method uses qualitative research with a case study design and an ethnographic approach. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 27 Surakarta. Primary data sources were obtained from school principals, vice principals for curriculum, teachers, and students. Data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data was carried out using source triangulation techniques and double checking. Data analysis techniques in this study include data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that: (1) Distance learning planning at SMPN 27 Surakarta includes preparation of learning instruments, preparation of teaching materials, preparation of infrastructure, teacher training, and preparation of implementation schedules; (2) The implementation of distance learning has been running well and smoothly. Implemented using an LMS in the form of Google Classroom and Zoom, and supported by the Whatsapp (WA) application; (3) PJJ control is carried out by carrying out monitoring and evaluation activities; (4) The constraints found were divided into two, namely internal constraints (obstacles in the school) and external constraints (coming from outside the school); (5) The solution to overcoming obstacles is to maximize the teacher's role, increase the diversity of file types and sources of teaching materials, optimize features in Google Classroom, and work with parents to guide children's learning during distance learning implementation. The implication of distance learning management is the need for collaboration between school principals, teachers, students, and parents so that the implementation of distance learning can run well

The test instrument was made by correlating physics material and the local wisdom of the community. The validity test results by the expert stated that the instrument developed was valid. The reliability of the developed instrument is 0.978. The test instrument consisted of 15 moderate and 13 difficult questions; with differentiating power, 12 items were corrected, seven were accepted but had to be corrected, and nine were accepted without improvement. There were 50% misconceptions about the answer, 57.14% about the reason, and 50% about the answer and reason. The highest misconception occurs in the concept of applying the moment of inertia, with a percentage of 67.23%. The lowest misconception is found in the concept of rigid body equilibrium, with a percentage of 38.98%
Exploring Female Pre-Service EFL Teacher’s Experiences with Content-Based Instruction: A Narrative Inquiry
The common problem of primary teachers in class situation is to create an effective learning environment by involving their competence to connect rational understanding, conceptual approaches, and adaptive considerations in delivering content material. In addition, the implementation of CBI in the context of teaching foreign languages requires teachers to have the ability to design content-based lesson planning and emphasize language skills. The study involved narrative research to explore the pre-working EFL female teacher experience with content-based instruction during the teacher preparation program. The study is based on theoretical concepts related to the professional knowledge of teachers about EFL and PCK (Pedagogical Content Knowledge) as the way EFL teachers describe their pedagogical knowledge. Data is obtained from various sources like: interviews, post-observation, learning diary, autobiography, and personal accounts. The data is then analyzed to generate evidence of how the participant actively applies CBI in teaching practice placement, how he creates class situation, and his aspirations about the future career of CBI. Three experience teachers of foreign language students with content-based instruction: exploring the identity/innovation interface” claim that the PCK enables students-teachers to implement CBI successfully
Relevance of Key Performance Indicators and Islamic Higher Educations Reputation
The university ranking is an achievement indicator based on reputation, especially global reputation. The objectives of this study are (1) To determine the relevance of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and PTKINs’ reputation based on SMS and Webometrics ranking; (2) To find out the correlation between KPI and PTKINs’ Reputation. This study uses mixed methods or integration of quantitative and qualitative research. The research objects were 17 PTKINs. For the analysis technique, it uses person correlation and explorative analysis. The results showed that of 51 KPI criteria, only one was relevant to the reputation of PTKINs based on the SMS ranking. In contrast, there are 13 KPI criteria that fit PTKINs' reputation based on Webometrics ranking. KPI does not correlate with PTKINs’ reputation based on SMS ranking, while KPI correlates with PTKINs’ reputation based on Webometrics ranking. For this reason, a policy is needed to synchronize KPI with WCU standards that have been recognized globally. While the implementation of ranking based on SMS needs to be reviewed because it does not reflect PTKINs' reputation
Forecasting the Number of Visitors to the UIN Walisongo Semarang Library with the Decomposition Method
The library is an important part of a university. Especially for UIN Walisongo Semarang which states to be a research Islamic university based on the vision that has been announced. The library is a vital unit contributing to the realization of the vision of the institution because it is a storage place for various research results both from inside and outside UIN Walisongo Semarang. In addition, several problems occur in the library, so it is necessary to forecast the number of visitors to ascertain the number of librarians who serve it. Decomposition becomes a statistical method in predicting the number of visitors because this method breaks the components of a periodic series separately which can improve the accuracy of forecasting. This prediction has resulted in an increase in the number of visitors to the library of UIN Walisongo Semarang in 2020 compared to the previous year. Based on the results of forecasting the number of visitors, the number of librarians that must be provided is 42 librarians
