The Effect of Online Citizenship Education Learning on Improving the Civic Disposition of Class XI Students at SMA Negeri 3 Manado
This study aims to determine the effect of online Citizenship Education learning on the improvement of the civic disposition of class XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Manado. Research on the Effect of Online Citizenship Education Learning uses a research method with a quantitative approach. This type of associative research. The data collection tool uses a questionnaire questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses normality test, homogeneity test and analysis using parametric statistics with the help of the SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution) program. The sample of this research is class XI IPA 2 consisting of 32 students for the academic year 2020-2021. The results showed that the data were normally distributed, it can be seen from the results of the t test calculation at a significant level that tcount> ttable was 2.431>2,309, then H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted which stated that there was an effect of online Civic Education learning on civic disposition. The results of simple linear regression analysis obtained the equation y=13.377+0.429X. From this equation, it is known that the online learning regression coefficient has a positive sign, so it has a positive relationship between online learning and civic disposition.Keywords:online; education; citizenship; civic disposition
The Role of Youth through Youth Organizations in Gotong Royong Activities as the Application of the Third Precepts of Pancasila
Young citizens are the nation's next generation, having an important role to play in bringing their nation to a better direction. Forming young citizens good and educated(smart and good citizens) in accordance with the identity of the Indonesian nation requires efforts to strengthen the values of Pancasila. The existence of the Youth Organization through gotong royong activities as an effort to implement the third principle of Pancasila, namely the Unity of Indonesia. Gotong royong is a cultural feature of the Indonesian people that has been passed down from generation to generation. Gotong royong means doing voluntarily and not expecting rewards to be done together with the aim of making the work run smoothly, easily and lightly. This study aims to determine the role of youth in gotong royong activities to form unity in the community as the application of the third principle of Pancasila, the forms of gotong royong activities carried out, the obstacles and efforts made to overcome them. The results of this study indicate that gotong royong activities have been running as a form of social interaction in the community such as gotong royong in terms of calamities or disasters, gotong royong in parties and celebrations, gotong royong in doing work that is in the public interest and cleaning the hamlet. It was found that there were obstacles related to the implementation of the gotong royong activities that were carried out. This research is expected to provide information and a foundation in the application of the three principles of Pancasila through gotong royong.Keywords: youth organization; gotong royong; Indonesian unity; pancasila
Bullying at School: What are the Motives and Causes?
This study aims to determine the root problems of bullying that often occur in schools, namely what causes students to carry out these bullying actions. In this article uses a qualitative method with library research data collection techniques sourced both from journals, articles, and books. The results show: 1) Understand the types of bullying that students do 2) Knowing the factors that cause motives for bullying in schools by students 3) Solutions made to overcome bullying in schools. It can be concluded that bullying activities in schools are a major problem that must be addressed because schools should protect their students from acts of violence in any form, and become a forum for the formation of reason, morals and character needed to build healthy, cultured and high-tech Indonesian society.Keywords: bullying; motive; moral
The Role of Bina Satria Youth Organization in Building Civic Engagement in Young Generation
The young generation is the nation's successor, so that the values of the nation's personality must be instilled in the younger generation so that they do not lose their identity. Indonesia is a country that is synonymous with mutual cooperation and thick with eastern culture. Strengthening Civic engagement in youth is needed in order to grow awareness to participate in all areas of activities that bring better change in accordance with the national identity. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of youth organizations in building civic engagement among the younger generation. This study used qualitative approach descriptive, data collection techniques were carried out using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. From the research results obtained in this study, Karang Taruna Bina Satria has a work program that can strengthen the cultivation of civic engagement in the younger generation, especially among its members, such as monthly routine events, community service, sinoman or laden, and August events.Keywords: youth organization; civic engagement; young generation
Keharmonisan Pedagang Pasar Gede Tahun 1998 Sebagai Materi Pengayaan Pembelajaran Sejarah SMA
The objectives of this study are: (1) to describe the form of a harmonious relationship between traders in Pasar Gede during the 1998 riots, (2) to describe the efforts of related parties in order to maintain harmonious relations between traders in Pasar Gede in the 1998 riots, (3) analyze harmony between traders in Pasar Gede that occurred in 1998 can be an enrichment material for historical learning in high school.This study uses historical methods. The sources used are primary and secondary sources in the form of photo archives, newspapers, books and information from sources. Data collection was carried out by putaka study techniques and interviews. Data analysis in this study uses historical analysis with sociological and economic theory approaches. The procedure of the study was carried out including the stages of heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography.The results of the study indicate that: (1) Traders of Pasar Gede have a form of harmony of mutual respect and have a family nature that is interwoven amid inter-ethnic unrest. Multi-ethnic Pasar Gede traders, especially ethnic Chinese, were not affected by the May 1998 riots, where the masses attacked ethnic Chinese. (2) the efforts of the Pasar Gede Traders Association are seen by maintaining harmonious relations between traders during the 1998 riots. Market officers and the Pasar Gede Circle of Friends provide direction for traders not to panic and secure in the Pasar Gede area. (3) Harmony Value in Pasar Gede Traders which emphasizes discussion on inter-ethnic harmony and tolerance that is still maintained during the May 1998 riots and does not damage economic life can be an enrichment material for class XII Compulsory High School History learning, especially on Political and Economic Life Development During the New Order
Cerita Relief Lalitavistra Sebagai Sumber Belajar Pembelajaran Sejarah Indonesia Kuno
The purpose of this study is to describe (1) an overview of the Borobudur temple and its reliefs (2) the story of the reliefs of Lalitavistara at the Borobudur temple (3) the story of Lalitavistara as a source of learning about ancient Indonesian history.This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Sources of research data obtained from observations, informants and documents. Purposive sampling technique was used in this study. Data collection techniques with three techniques, namely observation, interviews, and document analysis. The data validity technique is source triangulation, technical triangulation, and time triangulation. The data analysis technique was carried out with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification.Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded: (1) Overview of the Borobudur Temple and its reliefs, namely the temple which is estimated to have been built around the VIII-IX centuries during the golden age of the Saylendra dynasty. Borobudur Temple is symbolically divided into three parts consisting of Kamadhatu, Rupadhatu, Arupadhatu. In parts of the reliefs have the meaning of symbols and ornaments that have deep meaning for Buddhist teachings, (2) Lalitavistara reliefs at Borobudur Temple are traditional stories derived from one of the Buddhist scriptures of the Mahayana tradition. Telling the history of Buddha's journey when Buddha was invited to his last life (reincarnation) starting from the Tusita paradise to the first teaching teaching at the Deer Park in Rsipatana near the Varanasi area, (3) The Lalitavistara story as a source of learning Ancient Indonesian history can develop an attitude of tolerance can be taken from KI 2 and applied to class X high school students and integrated into the material of the birth of Buddhism, the entry of the influence of Buddhism in Indonesia and into history learning materials, especially at KD 3.5, KD 3.6, KD 4.5, and KD 4.6
Integration of Social Character Value in Elementary School through the Local Culture of Cepetan Dance
Education in Indonesia currently still uses the 2013 curriculum as a character-based learning framework for students. These characters are used as the foundation of the country in the development of increasingly sophisticated technology. providing the logistics, character education is an absolute provision for future generations of the nation. On the other hand, local culture is a national heritage that is rich in noble values. Therefore, this study aims to describe the integration of local culture of Cepetan dance as character education for students, especially social characters. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with research subjects namely artists, school principals and extracurricular teachers of SD Negeri 3 Pandansari, Kebumen, Central Java. Data collection techniques using documents and interviews. Source triangulation is used as data validity. The results showed that students' daily activities had reflected the integrated social character through the local culture of Cepetan dance. Thus, the artists and the school have succeeded in making Cepetan dance not only because the culture also instills its values in students. The results of this study will be useful for academics and practice in determining the right approach to achieve the success of character education for students. Critical Thinking as Citizen's Intellectual Skills in Facing Hoax on Social Media
This research aims to convey the urgency and application of critical thinking as a citizen's intellectual skill in an effort to deal with circulating of the hoax during elections on social media. The method used in this research is literature study method. Collecting data including primary and secondary data comes from relevant literature, such as books, journals, and other related research data. The results showed that the ability to think critically as an intellectual skill is needed by citizens to underlie their actions and attitudes in dealing with political issues on social media. The era of society 5.0 where technological sophistication is increasingly integrated in the lives of citizens who then demanded each individual to be more selective in utilizing developing technological products.. Social media as a product of technological development has become a popular channel to encourage the enthusiasm of citizens to follow the development of existing political information. Social media actually makes it easy for the public to get information related to general elections, but media oftenly misused as a tool of provocation and spreading the hoax by irresponsible parties to bring down the opposing camp. So as good and smart citizenship in the 5.0 society era, Indonesian citizens need to apply critical thinking steps to criticize all information. This study concludes that with good critical thinking skills, citizens will be able to filter the truth of an issue and can take appropriate action so as not to trigger divisions in society.Keywords: critical thinking; hoax; social media
Criminality of Children: Human Trafficking of Children as a Violation of Human Rights
Human Rights is an essential right of a person born as a creature of God. Protection of the implementation of rights for every element of society must be applied comprehensively, whether old, young, adult, or children. This study aims to describe the motives for the emergence of human trafficking, the fulfillment of the rights of victims of human trafficking, and ways to minimize human trafficking to children. Researchers investigated three things about human trafficking in children associated with one of the areas of study of citizenship, namely Human Rights (HAM). This research is a qualitative research by analyzing existing problems based on existing theories in previous relevant studies. The application of this method is expected to provide a forum for a deeper analysis of the problem gap between the implementation of child rights protection and the practice of child human trafficking in Indonesia. The findings of this study shows there are 3 focuses highlighted in this study regarding human trafficking in children, including (1) The cause of human trafficking occurs due to several reasons, namely the motive for adoption. work motives, as well as sexual exploitation motives, (2) The fulfillment of the rights of victims of human trafficking which can be done in 4 ways, namely damage, compensation, rehabilitation of victims, establishing an integrated service center, (3) Efforts to overcome human trafficking to children, as has been done by the government of Indonesia and the government of Batam since 2009 have proactively carried out various efforts to prevent and deal with human trafficking.Keywords: human trafficking; child; human rights
The Role of Surakarta Children Development Foundation (YPAC) in Developing Independence of Children with Special Needs
Humans also have a variety of natural needs, as well as children with special needs. Fulfillment of education and training for ABK is needed so that they are able to meet their needs. This article uses the type of qualitative research that aims to uncover the lack of institutions in developing the independence of Children with Special Needs (ABK) as well as presenting in detail the role of institutions in developing the independence of Children with Special Needs (ABK) in Surakarta. YPAC helps ABK who experience physical neglect and can also provide services to ABK who experience other disorders. In fulfilling the rights of Children with Special Needs (ABK) done through various services. This service is tailored to the needs of ABK to achieve its independence. . Rehabilitation is one of the methods applied by YPAC in handling ABK. Although in the implementation of fulfillment for children with special needs find obstacles, it is indeed unavoidable. Every effort must find its point of difficulty. But how to keep these efforts going is to find a way out of existing problems.Keywords: role; ABK; YPAC; independence
