Strengthening Civic Knowledge to Increase Traffic Law Awareness in High School Students
Get PDFEducation is one of the spearheads in dealing with problems in the current era of globalization. Problems in the era of globalization that occur in the younger generation include traffic violations. This is influenced by the lack of civic knowledge which causes low legal awareness. High legal awareness makes someone a good citizen by obeying the law. The purpose of this study is to find out how to strengthen civic knowledge to increase awareness of traffic law for high school students and obstacles in Pancasila and Citizenship Education as an effort to increase traffic legal awareness of high school students. The research method used is qualitative while data collection is done through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that civic knowledge through Pancasila and Citizenship Education subjects by providing materials that are prepared in advance by the teacher, using audio-visuals followed by traffic simulations, using Contextual Teaching and Learning Extension learning models and collaboration with the police, but there are obstacles in strengthening civic knowledge in increasing students' legal awareness includes internal and external constraintsKeywords: Civic knowledge, Pancasila and Citizenship Education, Legal Awarenes
Environmental Campaign Through Social Media as Strengthening Civic Engagement

Overcoming these environmental problems requires awareness and involvement of citizens in protecting and preserving the environment. The involvement of citizens in protecting and preserving the environment can be done through campaigns related to the environment. In thedigital era, the development of social media is very fast and has the benefit of making it easierfor someone to share information and communicate. The development of social media in thedigital era certainly affects the involvement of citizens in dealing with environmental problems. This article aims to find out how campaigns to preserve the environment through social media can strengthen civic engagement. This research is a type of qualitative research with literature study methods and descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that in the digital era, social media has an influence on strengthening civic engagement in campaigns to preserve the environment. Campaigns to preserve the environment through social media are mostly carried out by the younger generation and environmental activists through content related to environmental issues posted through their personal and community social media.Keywords: Campaign; Environment; Social media; Civic Engagement
The Actualization of Independent Character Values and Student Integrity in TPACK-Based Learning and Character-Based Learning Media
Get PDFThis article aims to describe the actualization of the values of independent character and integrity learners in TPACK based learning and character-based learning media. Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) is learning that combines the integration of technology, pedagogical approaches and mastery of material in learning, while learning media is integrated with character content. This research was carried out in learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) in high school using an experimental research design with purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, observation and documentation. Data were analyzed by descriptive data analysis techniques. In this learning process the values that are integrated are the values of independent character and integrity, namely through 1) real examples, 2) habituation, upholding discipline, and 4) giving motivation. Based on the results and discussion, it is shown that through TPACK-based learning and character-based learning media, the values of independent character and integrity can be actualized significantly. The implementation is done by habituation, giving motivation, and discipline. Through learning activities the teacher as a role model directly empowers characters which will later become civilizing and habits in students.Keywords: TPACK; media; characters; Pancasila and Citizenship Education
The Role of Teachers as Motivators in Increasing Interest Learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) on Students at Schools
Get PDFThis article aims to find out how the role of teachers as motivators in increasing interest in learning PPKn in students, to find out the obstacles to implementing the role of teachers as motivators in increasing interest in learning PPKn in students, to find out solutions that can be applied by teachers as a motivator in increasing the interest in learning PPKn for grade 7A students of SMP Negeri 03 Karangpandan. The methods in this article use qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques based on interviews and literature studies, then analyzed through descriptive data analysis techniques. The results of the study are as follows: 1.) The role of the teacher as a motivator in increasing the interest in learning PPKn students is carried out through giving numbers, prizes, competitions, praise, punishment, givingreviews or evaluations, using varied methods, notifying learning outcomes; 2.) Obstacles faced by teachers such as learners talking to their friends, learners interfering with other learners, differences in the character of learners; 3.) Solutions in the form of teachers' understanding of the characteristics of students, directions given by teachers to students, teachers attracting the attention of students, teachers processing teaching materials and motivation so that they can be well received by their students. The conclusion from this article is the role of the teacher as a motivator for students to increase the interest in learning Civics in students, so that it is hoped that students can develop knowledge, attitudes and skills they are when learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) takes place, besides that teachers can also developquality in PPKn learning in schools.Keywords: The role of the teacher; motivators; interest in learning; Pancasila and CitizenshipEducation (PPKn)
Tolerance Of Local Wisdom “Nemui Nyimah” Multi Ethnic Community in Community Education Environment
Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to determine the function of the behavior of local wisdom in the life of the community. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. This method is quite relevant to be applied in obtaining an overview of the reality of the behavior of the local wisdom of Nemui Nyimah applied in people's lives, knowing what factors hinder the application of the principle of value of mestii-nyimah in people's lives. The research results show that: a). The functions of the Nemui Nyimah in people's lives are: maintaining openness of service to the community, maintaining a sense of responsibility, maintaining disciplined behavior, fostering a sense of tolerance, facilitating service to the community, increasing a sense of social solidarity; b). The factors that hinder the application of the Nemui Nyimah are: the influence offoreign cultures, changes in people's mindsets, miscommunication of the values of finding-niymah; and c). Utilization of Quizizz Application as a Civics Learning Evaluation Media

The research method uses qualitative research methods with interviews and literature studies. The results showed that the use of the quizizz application made it easier for teachers at the learning evaluation stage and as a fun learning solution for students. Based on the results of this study, the use of the Quizizz application as a learning evaluation medium to measure the level of understanding of students is fun and the use of the Quizizz application is easily accessible and the process of the assessment results is faster than the use of the platform for sending text messages via WhatsApp.Keywords: Utilization; Quizizz; Evaluation Media
Character Building of Student Responsibilities Through Civics Learning at SD Negeri 1 Pomah

This study uses qualitative research methods with data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The data obtained in the form of primary data derived from interviews and secondary data obtained from observations and documentation. The results obtained from interviews, observations and documentation include: the character of the responsibility of students at SDN 1 Pomah is still quite lacking evidenced by the lack of a sense of responsibility of students to go to school on time, lack of responsibility of students when carrying out morning apples , do not sing the Indonesia Raya anthem properly and correctly, do not do assignments on time and litter. The formation of the responsibility character of students through Civics learning at SDN 1 Pomah is done by making an agreement on the rules when carrying out Civics learning, the rules for shaping the character of the responsibility of students.Keywords: PPKn, Character, Responsibilitie
PENGELOLAAN TAMAN NASIONAL GUNUNG MERBABU DALAM DIALEKTIKA NORMA DAN REALITA
Get PDFABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dialektika normativikasi dan kontekstualisasi pengelolaan sumber daya alam di kawasan konservasi di Taman Nasional Gunung Merbabu. Desain penelitian adalah kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi, wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: Pengelolaan Taman Nasional Gunung Merbabu dalam praktiknya belum optimal dalam mengatasi gangguan keamanan kawasan yang meliputi: kebakaran hutan, pencurian sumber daya alam, perburuan satwa liar dan perambahan. Faktor penyebab inefektivitas pengelolaan Taman Nasional Gunung Merbabu : a) praktek pengelolaan taman nasional yang dilaksanakan selama ini berpijak pada “sistem nilai” konservasi alam yang terpatri pada “pengawetan dan perlindungan” melalui upaya menekan interaksi hutan dengan aktivitas masyarakat disekitar hutan b), belum terciptanya keterpaduan atau titik temu karena masyarakat terkendala oleh hak akses terhadap sumber daya alam sedangkan pengelola Taman Nasional Gunung Merbabu terkendala oleh regulasi yang berlaku. Fulfillment of Student Rights Regarding Citizenship Education in the Online Learning Process Through Zoom Meeting
Get PDFThis study aims to examine how the rights of students in the policies of the ministry of education and culture are related to the online learning process through zoom meeting. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive analysis approach. This research is limited to students. This study wants to know and analyze the rights of students in the law number 20 of 2003 concerning the national education system. This study seeks to find challenges and problems in fulfilling the rights of students regarding Citizenship Education in the online learning process through zoom meeting. The policy of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) is stated through a joint decree (SKB) of the Four Ministers which was issued on August 7, 2020. The results of the study indicate that the rights of students contained in law number 20 of 2003 concerning the national education system have not been fully fulfilled because there are still facilities in the online learning process through zoom meeting used by students not facilitated by the ministry of education and culture. (Kemendikbud) such as laptops and android phones. Meanwhile, the facilities provided by theMinistry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) such as internet quotas for students are useful for the online learning process through zoom meeting.Keywords: Student rights, students, zoom meeting
Implementation of Political Parties in Increasing Public Participation through Political Education
Get PDFhis study aims to determine the implementation of political parties in increasing public participation through political education, whether it is running in accordance with the political functions that have been determined by law and to find out the obstacles in carrying out these functions in the community which result in the implementation of these functions not going well. This article uses literature study research methods sourced from books, journals and articles. From the literature study conducted, it is obtained data that the implementation of the function of political parties to provide political education to the public has not been implemented in accordance with the established regulations and there are obstacles due to the lack of enthusiasm of the young generation and the role of the government in carrying out these functions.Keywords: political parties; society participation; political education
