THE ROLE OF CIVIC EDUCATION SUBJECTS AS AN EFFORT TO BUILD STUDENTS' SENSE OF NATIONALISM
The purpose of writing this article is to find out the role of Civics subjects in shaping students' nationalism at SMP N 2 Kebakramat and to find out the obstacles faced by Civics teachers in fostering a sense of nationalism in students. In this study, researchers used a qualitative description approach. This research was conducted at SMP N 2 Kebakramat. The subjects in this study were junior high school teachers. Data collection techniques used interview techniques with Civics teachers. In the process of implementing Civic Education learning, it experiences several obstacles such as being boring, unattractive, and seemingly trivial so that students are unable to receive knowledge and the character education that has been taught is not conveyed properly. Civics teachers have a big role in instilling character education in students. Teachers must be able to set an example and carry out learning innovations so that students are able to filter information and are able to form character according to what was proclaimed by the Ministry of Education and Culture.Keyword : Nationalism, Civic Education
THE USE OF THE VCT MODEL IN PKN LESSONS TO DEVELOP DIGITAL LITERACY IN STUDENTS
The purpose of writing this article is to see the use of the values clarification technique (VCT)model by Civics teachers to develop digital literacy as an effort to foster and develop a culture of digital literacy to students, so that digital ethics are formed in the use of digital media and the internet. The writing of this scientific work is presented using the method of literaturestudy. Through scientific journals and the conclusion, PPKn teachers have a strategic role inshaping and developing digital literacy in students as young citizens. Through the VCT (valueclarification tehnique) learning model. Strategy for Strengthening Digital Skill With Infographic Learning Media
The younger generation currently has social media, statistical data stated that 87% of Indonesian children aged 13 years have used social media. This triggers the young generation to become vulnerable to the spread of hoax news. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen digital skills, one of which can be done in learning activities at school using infographic learning media. Making infographics requires basic knowledge of information search engines, and how to use and choose words that are indicators of digital skills. Data collection in qualitative research is by observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The results of this study indicate that infographic learning media as a strategy for strengthening digital skills is very effective, which is indicated by students' skills in using digital media in finding information, and how to use and select data in making infographic media. However, what needs to be emphasized is that this strategy is effective if the availability of school facilities and infrastructure supports digital learning activities.Keywords: digital skill; infographic; learning media
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE TRUE OR FALSE COLLABORATION SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION STRATEGY TO INCREASE LEARNING MOTIVATION IN THE PANCASILA EDUCATION LEARNING PROCESS AND CITIZENSHIP IN CLASS VII SMP MUHAMMADIYAH GONDANGREJO ACADEMIC YEAR 2022/2023
This study aims to increase students' learning motivation by implementing the Small Group Discussion strategy of True or False collaboration in the learning process of Pancasila and Citizenship Education in class VII Muhammadiyah Gondangrejo Middle School in the 2022/2023 academic year. Students' learning motivation in the learning process of Pancasila and Citizenship Education before being given action is still relatively low. The solution offered in this research is through the implementation of the True or False collaboration Small Group Discussion strategy. The subject of the implementation of the action was class VII students of SMP Muhammadiyah Gondangrejo, totaling 25 students. The action is carried out in two cycles, each of which has four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection byapplying flow model data analysis. Data collection techniques using observation and interviews. The performance indicator of this Classroom Action Research is the implementation of Small Group Discussion True or False collaboration which is expected to increase learning motivation in the learning process of Pancasila and Citizenship Education in class VII Muhammadiyah Gondangrejo Middle School at least 80% of 25 students. The achievement of this indicator is strengthened by the acquisition of indicators of student learning motivation. These indicators, namely the desire and desire to succeed, the encouragement and need in learning, the hopes or aspirations of the future, the appreciation in learning, the existence of interesting activities in learning, the existence of a conducive learning environment, thus enabling a student to learn. well.Keywords: Learning Motivation, Small Group Discussion, True or False and Collaboratio
Implementasi Paradigma Pedagogi Ignatian (PPI/PPR) dalam Kurikulum Merdeka pada Topik Pencemaran Lingkungan di SMA Seminari Mertoyudan
Abstract: SMA Seminari Mertoyudan is a Catholic priest formation school that has the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm (IPP) as the hallmark of a Jesuit school. In the 2022/2023 academic year, SMA Seminari Mertoyudan implemented Kurikulum Merdeka for Phase E. During Covid-19, students faced many challenges, including being isolated with the outside world, and individualism that led to a lack of sensitivity. One of the Capaian Pembelajaran for Physics is that students are able to describe natural phenomena in the scope of process skills in the environment. In this study, the author will review the implementation of the IPP which goes hand in hand with the Kurikulum Merdeka, with the signature steps of the IPP namely context, experience, discernment, action, reflection, and evaluation. The importance of using IPP in the Kurikulum Merdeka is to support the development of students' literacy and numeracy, and to have human character for and with others. The research method used is the ADDIE, Research and Development model. The result of this research is that students are able to collect data and see concerns in the context and experience of community life and together make projects to overcome these concerns, which in turn helps the community in overcoming environmental pollution.Abstrak: SMA Seminari Mertoyudan adalah sekolah formasi Imam Katolik yang memiliki aradigma Pedagogi Ignatian (PPI/PPR) sebagai ciri khas sekolah Jesuit. Pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023 SMA Seminari Mertoyudan mengimplementasikan kurikulum merdeka (IKM) untuk peserta didik kelas X atau Fase E. Selama pandemi Covid-19 banyak tantangan yang dialami oleh peserta didik, antara lain terisolasi dengan dunia luar, dan individualisme yang menyebabkan sikap kurang peka. Salah satu capaian pembelajaran pemahaman Fisika adalah peserta didik mampu mendeskripsikan gejala alam dalam cakupan keterampilan proses dalam pencemaran lingkungan. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis akan mengulas implementasi PPI/PPR yang beriringan dengan Kurikulum Merdeka, dengan langkah khas PPI/PPR yakni konteks, pengalaman, diskresi, aksi, refleksi, dan evaluasi dalam materi pencemaran lingkungan. Pentingnya penggunaan PPI/PPR dalam Kurikulum Merdeka ialah mendukung berkembangnya literasi dan numerasi peserta didik, serta memiliki karakter manusia untuk dan dengan orang lain (men and women for and with others). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development model ADDIE. Hasil dari penelitian ini peserta didik mampu mengumpulkan data serta melihat keprihatinan dalam konteks dan pengalaman hidup berkomunitas dan bersama membuat proyek mengatasi keprihatinan tersebut, yang pada akhirnya membantu komunitas dalam mengatasi pencemaran lingkungan
Pengembangan Modul IPA Interaktif Berbasis Guided Discovery Learning Materi Sistem Ekskresi pada Manusia Kelas VIII SMP Darul Fikr Andong
Abstract: This study aims to determine the characteristics, feasibility, practicality and results of trials using interactive science modules based on guided discovery learning excretion system material in class VIII humans at SMP Darul Fikr Andong. This research is a research and development (R&D) type of research adapted from Borg & Gall. The research instrument used was a four-point Likert scale questionnaire, pre-test and post-test questions, as well as documentation. The results showed that the characteristics of the module, namely in the preparation of the module were adjusted to the steps of the guided discovery learning model, besides that the discussion activities also included a teacher's comment column which could be used to write down the teacher's suggestions and comments on the results of the discussions that had been carried out. The feasibility of the module is known based on expert judgment and a percentage of 88% is obtained, including the "Very Eligible" category. The practicality of the module is known based on the assessment given by the science teacher and limited trial class students. The practicality percentage of the module based on the science teacher's assessment was 91.41%, including the "Very Practical" category, and the percentage of student assessments was 90.4%, including the "Very Practical" category. The results of the trial use of the module were reviewed based on student learning outcomes and obtained an average N-gain score of students who used the module of 0.72 in the "High" category, while the average N-gain score of students who did not use the module was 0.51 in the "Moderate" category.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik, kelayakan, kepraktisan dan hasil uji coba penggunaan modul IPA interaktif berbasis guided discovery learning materi sistem ekskresi pada manusia kelas VIII SMP Darul Fikr Andong. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian research and development (R&D) mengadaptasi dari Borg & Gall. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket skala Likert empat poin, soal pre-test dan post-test, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik modul, yaitu dalam penyusunan modul disesuaikan dengan langkah-langkah model guided discovery learning, selain itu pada kegiatan diskusi juga dimuat kolom komentar guru yang dapat digunakan untuk menuliskan saran dan komentar guru terhadap hasil diskusi yang telah dilakukan. Kelayakan modul diketahui berdasarkan penilaian ahli dan diperoleh persentase sebesar 88%, termasuk kategori “Sangat Layak”. Kepraktisan modul diketahui berdasarkan penilaian yang diberikan oleh guru IPA dan siswa kelas uji coba terbatas. Persentase kepraktisan modul berdasarkan penilaian guru IPA sebesar 91,41%, termasuk kategori “Sangat Praktis”, dan persentase penilaian siswa sebesar 90,4%, termasuk kategori “Sangat Praktis”. Hasil uji coba penggunaan modul ditinjau berdasarkan hasil belajar siswa dan diperoleh rata-rata N-gain score siswa yang menggunakan modul sebesar 0,72 dengan kategori “Tinggi”, sedangkan rata-rata N-gain score siswa yang tidak menggunakan modul sebesar 0,51 dengan kategori “Sedang”
Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada Mata Pelajaran IPA Siswa Kelas VIII Di MTsN 6 Ngawi
Abstract: Problem Based Learning learning model is one of the learning models that need to be applied to the learning process. This learning model focuses on student learning in collaboration or in groups with existing problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of problem-based learning models and student learning experiences in science subjects. The instrument developed was in the form of a questionnaire which was divided into indicators and statements related to the use of the learning model. The research method used is observation sheets, interview sheets, and student questionnaires. The research respondents were students of MTsN 6 Ngawi in the Kedunggalar dan sub-district. The total sample of the study was 33 students. The results showed that the indicator that was most often applied in the learning process in class VIII A of MTsN 6 Ngawi was the orientation with a percentage of 88%, and the highest presentation that was rarely applied was organizing with a percentage of 95%. With obstacles in learning, namely limited media and teachers still have difficulty in implementing the PBL learning model in the classroom. The results showed that the questionnaire instrument was valid for as many as 33 items out of a total of 5 statement items.Abstrak: Model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning adalah salah satu model pembelajaran yang perlu diterapkan pada proses pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran ini berfokus kepada belajar siswa secara kolaborasi atau kelompok dengan permasalahan yang ada. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran problem based learning dan pengalaman belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA. Instrumen yang dikembangkan berupa angket yang terbagi menjadi indikator dan pernyataan terkait penggunaan model pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi, lembar wawancara, dan angket siswa. Responden penelitian adalah siswa/siswi MTsN 6 Ngawi yang berada di kecamatan Kedunggalar dan. Total sampel penelitian sebanyak 33 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa indikator yang paling sering diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas VIII A MTsN 6 Ngawi yaitu orientasi dengan presentase 88%, dan presentasi tertinggi yang jarang diterapkan yaitu mengorganisasikan dengan presentase 95%. Dengan kendala dalam pembelajaran yaitu media yang terbatas dan guru masih kesulitan dalam keterlaksanaan penerapan model pembelajaran PBL di kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan instrument angket yang valid sebanyak 33 butir dari total 5 butir pernyataan
Systematic Literature Review: Minat Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Fisika Berbantuan Elektronik Modul di Masa Pandemi
Abstract: Learning in the pandemic era showed its challenges for teachers, not least for learning physics. Various efforts were made to decrease student boredom and increase interest in learning. These difficulties can be caused by external and internal factors, one of the internal factors is student interest. Students' interest in learning is very important to make it easier for students to understand the material. Many students find it difficult to learn physics. Implementation of electronic modules is one of the efforts used to increase it. This study aims to determine the level of student interest in learning physics subjects through electronic modules (e-modules) during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) or literature review research method. References in this research are from various national and international. The results obtained from various literature sources, namely the use of e-modules in learning physics get a positive response from students in the form of increased interest in learning physics.Abstrak: Pembelajaran di masa pandemi memberikan tantangan tersendiri bagi guru, tak terkecuali untuk pembelajaran fisika. Berbagai upaya dilakukan untuk mengurangi rasa bosan siswa serta menumbuhkan minat belajar. Kesulitan tersebut dapat disebabkan faktor eksternal dan internal, dimana faktor internal salah satunya adalah minat. Minat belajar siswa terhadap suatu mata pelajaran sangat penting untuk mempermudah siswa dalam menangkap materi yang dibelajarkan. Tidak sedikit siswa yang merasa kesulitan dalam belajar fisika. Salah satu upaya yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa adalah dengan menggunakan modul elektronik (e-modul). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran fisika berbantuan modul elektronik (e-modul) di masa pandemi Covid-19. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) atau metode penelitian tinjauan pustaka. Literatur yang digunakan dari berbagai sumber nasional maupun internasional. Hasil yang didapatkan dari berbagai sumber literatur yaitu penggunaan e-modul dalam pembelajaran fisika mendapatkan respon positif dari siswa berupa minat belajar fisika yang meningka
The Readiness of PKn Teachers in Facing the Project Program to Strengthen the Profile of Pancasila Students in Independent Curriculum 2022
The purpose of this study was to determine the readiness of Civics teachers in facing the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project program in the Independent Curriculum. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of interviews and literature studies. Based on the interviews and literature studies, it can be seen that the Civics teacher at SMPN 2 Boyolali has realized his need as a teacher so that he encourages him to follow information about the Independent Curriculum. Based on the condition of knowledge, Civics teachers at SMPN 2 Boyolali are in the know stage about the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project, this is because the Independent Curriculum policy feels uncertain and has changed regulations several times. Then when viewed from the skills or competencies of teachers, Civics teachers need to master the material in depth (professionally) and establish effective communication with students and other subject teachers (social) to carry out the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project.Keywords: Teacher Readiness, Independent Curriculum, Pancasila Student Profile Projec
The Role of Teacher in Realizing Multicultural Education Practice in Citizenship Lessons in Elementary School
The purposes of this research is to find and explain: 1) The multicultural values possessed bystudents in elementary schools; and 2) The role of teachers in the practice of multiculturaleducation in Citizenship Lessons in Elementary Schools. The research method used is descrisptive qualitative methode, which is based on a case study at SD Negeri Luwang 01, Sukoharjo Regency as the main object of the research. The results are: 1) Students at SD Negeri Luwang 01 lack multicultural values, especially the valus of respecting differences; and 2) Teachers at SD Negeri Luwang 01 should be able to contribute to practical multicultural education in Citizenship Lessons, by providing examples of behaviors and habituation. The conclusion is that teachers must have a strong role in realizing practical-multicultural education in the elementary schools evironment, so that students can practice multicultural values well in various environments where students interact.
