Analisis Pengendalian Kualitas Cacat dengan Metode Six Sigma pada Perusahaan Percetakan (Studi Kasus: PT. Delta Mandiri)
The globalization era is forcing companies to improve the quality of their products. Quality is an important thing to be a good and competitive company. This research is using Six Sigma and using Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control (DMAIC) as a concept. Some of the statistical tools are used in this study such as the Check Sheet, Histogram, Pareto, and Fishbone. Based on the Check Sheet and the calculation showed the types of defects such as not suitable spot, bubble, not evenly, and there is absorption that has shown the sigma level is 4.45 and Process Capability (Cp) is 99.30%. Each type of defect has analyzed by using Pareto with a ratio of 80:20, and acquired defects: not suitable spot 46.4%, bubble 35.2%, not evenly 16.8% and other defects 1.7%. Furthermore, the defects will be analyzed using Fishbone based on man, machine, method, and material as the analyzing factors. Fishbone shows that there are several factors which creating defects. The improvement does by the suggestions for improvements and by using the Solution Tree.Keywords: Six Sigma, DMAIC, Statistical Process, Capability Process
Perancangan Telescopstick Menggunakan Quality Function Deployment (QFD)
As the development of science is always accompanied by high-technology applications, innovation is needed to support the implementation of a technology. Almost all human activities are currently assisted by tools. Most of the families in Indonesia has a TV antenna. However, There are difficulties in the installation of antenna stick. Therefore, designing a tool in the form of a stick that can be elongated/shortened automatically is necessary for ease of use. The tool is called "Telescopstick". In addition, to be a tool for TV antenna pole, it is designed for multifunctional purpose because there is a joint at the end of this tool that can be connected with other tools, so it can serve as a substitution of a lamp, duster and etc. This tool is designed to be robust and lightweight, made of polyethylene pipe in a consideration of the functions and needs of this tool. The mechanism of this tool is basically a pulley system that enables the change of its length dimension through the pull of wire. The wire pulling mechanism itself utilizes 12 Volt DC electric motor with energy provided by a battery. Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method is employed to design this tool because it focuses on a consumer-needs-based design process. The results show that the tool can replace conventional sticks which are easily destroyed and difficult to install and the availability of spare parts are easily obtained as well. Pengembangan Strategi Perbaikan Kualitas Layanan Taman Hiburan Dunia Fantasi Ancol
As a recreational place, the amusement park provides entertainment to both domestic and foreign visitors. One of well-known amusement parks in Indonesia is Dunia Fantasi Ancol (Dufan) Jakarta. The objective of this study is to analyze the amusement park visitors’ perception in order to assist the development of improvement strategic plans. The refined Kano 's model and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method were applied. Based on data obtained from 272 visitors, there are 18 service attributes that affect the performance of Dufan: 8 attributes have excellent performance levels, 5 attributes have surplus performance levels, and 5 attributes should be improved. Finally, based on Blue Ocean Strategy model, nine improvement strategies and also proposed canvas strategy were provided.Keywords: Amusement park, service attributes, refined Kano’s model, IPA, Blue Ocean Strategy
Peningkatan dan Pengembangan Mutu Pelayanan Perpustakaan dengan Metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD)
Increased competition in the educational institutions in attracting prospective students demanding the education providers to evaluate and improve. Various advantages offered by such excellence of lecturer and guarantee jobs for graduates and facilities, supporting infrastructure owned. In this study, researchers took the object of a university in Jakarta to translate the desire of consumers to one of the supporting facilities of the library as a medium of information through the availability of textbooks, student and faculty research and reading reference materials. With the method of Quality Function Development (QFD) obtained the final results of this study of 10 major things that are important to consumers and has the best service performance as well as 10 high priorities to library development in accordance with the wishes of consumers.Keywords: Quality Function Deployment, House of Quality, Service Qualit
Usulan Peramalan Produksi Mobil BMW dengan Jadwal Produksi Induk dan Perencanaan Material terhadap Divisi Logistic Produk Planning (Studi Kasus: PT. Tjahja Sakti Motor, Jakarta Utara)
The delay of productivity process can make losses that are not small, even that losses can make the organization bankrupt. PT. Tjahja Sakti Motor do not yet have forecasting method, forecasting is only based on order BMW Indonesia. It can make the demand from the other consumer can't be fulfilled. To avoid that, they need a right forecasting method for fulfilling the demand. Researcher tries to make forecasting method that fit with demand in PT. Tjahja Sakti Motor. Researcher uses actual data demand from 2012 until 2014. After that, the researcher concluded that demand data is random demand. Therefore researcher must choose one from three forecasting method that fit with the random demand data (Simple Moving Average, Weighted Moving Average, and Exponential Smoothing). Weighted Moving Average is chosen, because have Tacking Signal with the smallest interval (-2.03 - 3.09). After decided the method of forecasting, researcher makes Master Production Planning (MPS) which breakdown to be Material Requirement Planning (MRP) with Bill Of Material (BOM) until level two.Keywords: Peramalan, Tracking Signal, MPS, MRP, BO
Usulan Perencanaan Tata Letak Gudang Produk Jadi dengan Menggunakan Metode Muther's Systematic Layout Planning dan Dedicated Storage
The purpose of this study is to obtain a warehouse layout design along with the laying of each finished product shelves, making it easier and speed up the process and handle the product. The method used to design the warehouse layout is Muther's Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) by creating a diagram ARC and diagrams ARD. While the method used for the laying of each item to the shelves using the Dedicated Storage by calculating the needs of the area required, the distance of movement of goods and the amount of throughput (activities) that occur in the warehouse. The result from this study is the re-design layout that able to perform the process faster and orderly. While at the laying of goods also gained total slots required is 48 slots, categorized into 24 slots for items finished products by the brand SUPREME and 24 slots for items with the brands Eterna finished product. The number of pallets needed as many as 48 pallets. Total activity is 28 events for all goods.Keywords: Muther's Systematic Layout Planning, Warehouse Design, Palle
Perencanaan Kebijakan dan Strategi Pengelolaan Energi Indragiri Hilir Menggunakan Model Long Range Energy Alternative Planning System (LEAP) dalam Skenario Business as Usual (BAU)
The energy was a key component for a local development and also was a sustainable strategy that impacts the community prosperity. The availability of energy was an important matter even it was a parameter for supporting local development success. Therefore, energy managing and planning must be taken seriously by the government in common things, this research aims to reform energy strategy and planning policy by using the Long Range Energy Alternative Planning System (LEAP) model on BAU scenario. Determination Types and Number of Trains Kampung Melayu-Roxy Monorail With Level Number Of Passengers Distribution Scenario Using Promodel Simulation Based On The Optimal Cost. Monorail is one of the solution to solve the traffic problem in the city of Jakarta. This project developed to be an alternative of mass public transportation service for the citizens in Jakarta. In order to be able to serve the passengers during peak time, the project need to have a research in term of the optimal total number of trains and type to be used. In this research, had chose the types and the total number of trains Kampung Melayu-Roxy with the level number of passengers distribution scenario based on the optimal cost using simulation. Scenario for the number of passengers per hour based on peak hour. Data gathered from variety sources such as consultant, suppliers, and media. Data required to developed a model, based on the observation of the Busway corridor Blok M-Kota. After developed the model, the next step is to simulated each type on each passengers distribution scenario to obtained the total number of trains and the headway. Selection based on incremental internal rate of return between two type on each scenario. Based on simulation and calculation result obtained that small type is the type of monorail that had been chose for monorail project at Kampung Melayu-Roxy line on several number of passengers scenario, with the description are scenario 1 with 10 units, scenario 2 with 14 units, scenario 3 with 15 units, and scenario 4 with 20 units
Product Platform as a Concept to Increase Production Competitiveness
Dalam era pasar global yang dinamis dengan tingkat persaingan tinggi, perkembangan suatu produk dan proses produksi menjadi perhatian utama bagi perusahaan. Beberapa hambatan yang muncul adalah daur hidup produk yang makin singkat, meningkatnya persaingan internasional, perubahan teknologi dan keanekaragaman pilihan konsumen yang mendorong percepatan proses pengembangan dari suatu produk baru. Untuk dapat mengelola tingkat kompleksitas keragaman produk yang dimiliki perusahaan untuk ditawarkan kepada pasar, beberapa industri mengaplikasikan konsep Platfomn. Sementara untuk dapat meningkatkan keunggulan daya saing produksi, pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pengembangan produk dengan tingkat kompleksitas rendah dan memiliki tingkat investasi minimal dalam hal perancangan, produksi dan pemasaran. Konsep Platform produk mengidentifikasi dan menjabarkan persamaan proses/perlakuan terhadap produk, pasar target, proses pengembangan dan pengiriman oleh perusahaan pada tingkat harga yang efisien. Konsep Platform yang dibahas adalah stardarisasi komponen, platform produk, platform proses, platform pengetahuan, manusia dan hubungan antar platform tampaknya menjadi strategi yang berhasil untuk menciptakan berbagai biaya rendah. Dinamika kekuatan pasar yang mendorong perusahaan untuk mengembangkan produk-produk desainer dengan menciptakan modul standar sebanyak mungkin dari seluruh produk yang dimiliki. Kajian Awal Penyusunan Algoritma Perhitungan Luas Tanah dan Faktor Koreksi dengan Metode Poligon Terbuka dan Tertutup
Data for land squares area and land volumes are strongly needed for private company neither is the government. Nowadays, the calculations of land squares are done manually, which need long and repetitive calculations. It is unfortunately risky for the researches. On the other side, none of the standard methods is used to calculate the volume of land burying. One of the alternatives when we intend to minimize the error of the calculation and measurement process is to integrate the step of calculation and measurement processes themselves. The underlined means to practice the automation on the recitation of several measurement output, and then the calculation of land squares, contour drawing, and land volumes can automatically be done. On the calculation of area squares, contour drawing, and land volumes, data of the measurements are put into calculation algorithm and are expected to be directly used in calculating the land squares, contour drawing, and land volumes, also automatically make the correction on the errors in order to minimize them. In this research, no hardware development is being developed. The author intended only to compose a calculation of algorithm to calculate land squares.Keywords: Land Squares, Algorithm, Integrat
