    Evaluation of Office Ergonomic Risk Using Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA)

    Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) caused by computer use have become the most common ergonomic risks. The risk experienced can be in the form of financial losses or even lives. Therefore, efforts are needed to prevent the occurrence of ergonomic risks so as not to cause large losses. The Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA) has been designed to identify ergonomic risk factors and is reliable for the assessment of office workers' MSDs. This study evaluates the potential risk of ergonomics in female office workers because a previous study found that MSDs were more common in women. From the two workers observed, it was found that workers 1 and 2 received different scores on several assessment components. The different things are the length of the seat holder, armrests, spine brace, and keyboard. This difference is caused by body posture and different types of chairs. The length of the chair and the spinal brace is influenced by the different postures of the two workers. Worker 1 has a shorter upper leg length than worker 2, so she cannot use the backbone section of the chair. Although there are differences in scores on some components of the assessment, both workers have the same final ROSA score, which is 5. This indicates that further posture assessment needs to be done using tools other than ROSA to detect the specific cause of MSDs levels

    PT. GAA is an international company that employs 4300 employees based in Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. PT. GAA is able to maintain and repair aircraft, ranging from light repair maintenance to overhauls, maintenance and repair of engines, APU (Auxiliary Power Units) and aircraft components, and cabin modifications. The time to complete the repair of APU sometimes exceeds the Turnaround Time (TAT) that is determined which is 45 days. In fact, there are many delays that occur in returning APU to consumers. In this research report applying the Gantt chart, RCA and 5 Whys Analysis methods, to find out the main causes of delays in the repair process through 10 gates and to find out which gate has the longest delay. From the results of the study, it was found that after the 131-9 APU data collection amounted to 30 units, for 1 year, it was found that the gate which experienced the longest delay was Gate 5, Gate 3, Gate 8 and Gate. 7 and the main cause is the limited ability to repair the APU, the lack of personnel ready to work and the technical problems that occur during APU testing and limited assembly space, equipment for APU assembly and supplies

    Light brick compressive strength produced by UD. XY has a very high variation because there is no standard composition of raw materials. This research is carried out to design an improvement or quality improvement for light brick products at UD. XY. Quality improvement is on increasing the compressive strength of light brick with optimal composition. Quality improvement is conducted using the experimental design of the Taguchi method to obtain an optimal composition combination. The orthogonal array notation used is L9(34) with material control factors in the form of water (A), cement (B), and sand (C). Data processing is done by calculating ANOVA on average values and SNR with larger better classification. The classification is chosen because of the greater the compressive strength of the light brick the higher the quality of the light brick. This ANOVA calculation is carried out to find out which factors significantly influence the light brick compressive strength. The test conducted to determine the quality of light brick is a concrete compressive strength test carried out using the Compression Machine. Based on the results of data processing, a comparison of the optimal composition of water: cement: sand is 1: 2.5: 4. The confirmation experiment proves that the compressive strength of the composition is robust

PT Asahi Fibreglass is a company in Jakarta which started its business from 2001 which is engaged in manufacturing and marketing products for the needs of fiberglass products for industrial, residential, building and property needs. In operational activities of PT. Asahi Fibreglass has several obstacles in the process of recording stock items which still use a book-based recording method which makes recording look messy, there are differences in recording the physical stock of goods in the warehouse with the recording of goods recorded in a Microsoft Excel file, there are missing or tucked data because it still uses manual methods and is still book-based. The purpose of creating a web-based inventory information system at PT Asahi Fibreglass is a system improvement in regulating the flow or path of the process of in and out of warehouse goods that will replace the old inventory system that still uses Microsoft Excel, as well as speed up the process of making reports, and minimize errors in the inventory recording process

    One indicator that shows the quality of government performance is the quality of public service offices. Public services in Indonesia have an important role in economic and political life. The magnitude of the role of the district office in providing services around population bureaucracy issues, especially in the province of DKI Jakarta, is still often getting complaints from the public. This study aims to assess the level of community satisfaction with the quality of district office services in the Jakarta province, specifically the North Jakarta municipality. This study uses multilinear regression and uses the T-test to find out the significant level of influence of independent variables on the dependent. The study used five exogenous variables (procedures, information, time, facilities, and infrastructure, and environmental comfort) and 1 endogenous variable (satisfaction). The results of this study are all exogenous variables that have a positive and significant effect on the satisfaction of Jakarta citizens, which means that urban district office services have a positive and significant effect on the satisfaction of Jakarta citizens when viewed from procedures, information, time, facilities, and infrastructure as well as environmental comfort. The provincial government of DKI Jakarta must maintain and improve existing service procedures, some attributes of information that are already very good, good values regarding the certainty of the time of completion of services, several aspects of facilities and infrastructure, and comfortable environmental conditions, both in the service office or in the service support facilities

    The shift in the pattern of using land transportation modes from conventional to online application-based has helped shape the lifestyle pattern of using different land transportation modes for the community. However, the other side of the presence of this application-based online land transportation mode is to maintain customer needs and expectations through aspects of service quality in applications provided by application-based online transportation service providers. It is not an easy thing to do and maintain. Applications should have quality because applications are the main capital in using online transportation modes. In addition, the information listed on the online transportation mode application is an important factor in providing the suitability of the information in the application. This study aims to analyze the effect of application display factors and feature adjustments in the application on user loyalty of application-based online transportation modes. By using SMART PLS 3.0, the results of this study explain that the attitudes of users of application-based online transportation modes are influenced by the application display factors and the adjustment of features in the application. Furthermore, loyalty is influenced by the attitude of users of application-based online transportation modes. Other recent features as part of service quality can be another factor that can be used to analyze user loyalty for application-based online transportation modes. This is useful for enriching understanding in determining the loyalty of users of application-based online transportation modes

    PT. Garuda Metalindo, which is engaged in the manufacturing industry, is currently experiencing a product failure of 2.5% in the production process and this exceeds the failure tolerance set by the company, which amounts to 10 units of 1000 units per process function or about 1% in the production process. Failure tolerance that exceeds the limit so that improvements need to be made to reduce the number of product defects in each production process. This study uses Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) to identify the causes of product defects based on the current production process, the next stage using Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential failures, modes, potential effects of failure, causes of failure, detection modes, and determine the rating against severity, occurrence, and detection on the risk priority number in the production process. Based on the results of the assessment on the RPN, a cold forming process with a score of 576, surface finishing with a score of 512 was obtained, machining 1 with a score of 441, and machining 2 with a score of 392. Proposed improvements for cold forming defects by monitoring and making checking tools (jigs), defect surface finishing by supervising and making product shelves, machining defects 1 with product inspection and making tools for checking (jig), and replacement of drill bit types, machining defects 2 with lamp and insert replacement and periodic inspection. By applying these proposals it is expected to reduce the level of product disability

    PT. Surya Toto Indonesia is a company engaged in ceramic sanitary wares and plumbing hardware. One of the company’s problems regarding production is high breakdown times. This breakdown causes a decrease in engine speed, even farther affects the output that has been previously planned. This study aims to measure the value of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), to know the factors lead to decreased effectiveness through Six Big Losses and to provide recommended improvements. This study begins by measuring the value of OEE, then identifying the Six Big Losses and analyzing the causes of the problem of decreasing machine effectiveness. OEE calculation components are availability, performance efficiency and rate of quality. The results showed that the percentage of Availability Value calculation ranged between 90%-96%, while the percentage of Performance Efficiency value calculation ranged between 37%-64%, then the result of the calculation of Rate of Quality 96.7%-99.8%. Then obtained the percentage of the calculation value of OEE which ranged between 35%-59%, with an average value of OEE in January to December 2017 that is equal to 47%. This value of effectiveness is relatively low because the standard value of OEE for world-class is 85%. While the factor of Six Big Losses most influential on the low effectiveness of the machine is Reduced Speed Losses with a total time loss of 11691 minutes

    The demand for accessible parking services and facilities are growing in the University of Singaperbangsa Karawang (Unsika). This occurred due to the increasing number of vehicles need parking spaces. Some problems can happen because of scrambling over the space, the improper of parking lot building, the ineffective actions in allocating and checking the traffic signs, and the unavailability of traffic signs. The focus of this research was the campus community who use the parking lot. They became the object of the research. The data analysis was used to determine the level of the satisfaction of the campus community towards the service quality and parking facilities in Unsika using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test method with Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) application. The results showed that the campus community was complaining about the quality of service and parking facilities. The perceptions were given in the form of negative perceptions because it was not in line with expectations. The respondents were hoping that the university would pay attention to the quality of services and facilities

    PT. Indosari Mandiri is an industrial company engaged in the manufacture of snacks. Problems that are being faced by PT. Indosari Mandiri is currently the number of defective products in flat wafer products, especially in Osuka wafer products. The number of product defects in the production process for one shift is an average of 30%. The current defect condition is very far from the tolerance of company defects which is 15%. To overcome these problems, Six Sigma methods are used. Six Sigma consists of Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC). In the Define stage, the wafer osuka production process is defined and the Critical to Quality (CTQ) is determined. From the CTQ identification, there are several types of defects in the product, each of which is tough, the sheet is not full, dirty, broken, broken and peeled off. In the Measure stage, Six Sigma is calculated and determine the sigma level. In the Analyze stage, analysis of defect selection is done with a causal diagram or fishbone diagram, and the most dominant defects obtained are in the Creaming and Cutting section. The Improve stage is done by the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method, to listen to the voices of loyal consumers of Osuka Wafer products. At the control stage, the input is only given to the company regarding the quality improvement of the osuka wafer product so that defective products can be suppressed. In this study it was concluded that improvements in the creaming and cutting process area need to be done immediately, in line with the QFD method that requires repairs to the area to improve or meet consumer desires
